Kenny's Kitchen in Düsseldorf

Very small. Not many seats available. But it's very cozy. The food was absolutely delicious! The karaage (as a meal deal with fries, sweet chili sauce, and garlic mayo) was incredibly juicy! The udon noodles with karaage were also fantastic.

It's tasty, but also very greasy. Japanese fast food. Not quite my taste.

The curry oolong was authentic and delicious, giving me a real Asian feel. The fried chicken was also very juicy. The Japanese couple who owned the restaurant were very friendly. There weren't many seats, but it seemed quite popular, so it's best to avoid peak hours. The minor downside is that it's a bit pricey, averaging over 15 euros per person. Also, there are no drinks or soups available, which is really necessary with curry. Unlike Japanese restaurants, they didn't provide water. However, if you're craving an authentic Japanese experience, this is still a good place to eat.

The curry udon is hearty and incredibly delicious! The udon soups are lighter and nicely salty. The karaage is so juicy and generous. The prices are perfectly fair for the portion sizes. The curry rice is also very filling, a bit lighter, and comes with some crunchy vegetables. The owners are incredibly friendly; you can almost always find a table (there are some tables in the back that are barely visible from the front), and your food arrives quickly.

This place is dog friendly, has very tasty food and a very clean toilet (bonus points) I reserved a table for a group of three people, plus a dog and I was told in advance that dogs are totally welcome, which I could tell! Our lil buddy got water in bowl and the staff was so friendly towards him too! The curry udon and the kaarage I had were amaziiing. I never had japanese curry like this before and I think this kind is my absolute favorite here in Düsseldorf. Would really love to visit again sometime!

It's definitely worth visiting this shop/snack bar outside of "Little Tokyo". The karaage was really a dream and so were the sauces. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely come back and try the udon.

A very nice restaurant in the outer area of ​​Düsseldorf. The karaage in different versions were very good and the portion size was great. Next time I definitely want to try one of the soups with udon noodles, they looked really great. I found the atmosphere in this very small restaurant great and very cozy. The woman who served us was also super nice. It's really worth a visit and I'll come back.

They have good Japanese curry and a variety of flavors for the chicken karaage. You can mix and match items in their menu. Priced at 20 eur per person is good for the portions. The space inside is quite small and a little bit cramped but is overall nice atmosphere.

I ordered the Nanban and the original. The Nanban sauce is really delicious. The fried chicken is especially juicy and the chicken is also very tender. After eating, the body is warm. It is a must-have food to extend your life after the exam month. I will eat it next time.

A very friendly, small shop with extremely tasty karaage. I can highly recommend everyone to try these! In my opinion, they are some of the best in Düsseldorf - and given the competition, that's saying something! The Tayaki are also TOP <3 The employees are always very friendly and accommodating. I always really, really enjoy coming here.

The karaage with Namban tartar sauce were delicious. The other karaage varieties were also quite tasty and the takoyaki were okay. The restaurant or snack bar is small but cozy and the employees are very welcoming. You order right at the counter and get a pager that beeps as soon as the food is ready for pickup.

The combination of crispy fried chicken and the hearty udon noodles in beef broth was just perfect. The chicken was juicy and the noodles had the ideal bite. The cozy atmosphere with the anime posters on the walls made the experience at Kenny's Kitchen even more authentic. You immediately feel like you're in a small Japanese izakaya, where you can get your own beer from the fridge. This self-service concept added to the relaxed atmosphere and is reminiscent of an authentic snack visit in Japan. Only 4 places back. Reservation possible, otherwise also good to take away.

Wir sind dorthin gefahren, weil viele auf Instagram davon geschwärmt haben. Wir haben das Fried Chicken mit Garlic Mayo bestellt. Das Fleisch war entgegen unserer Erwartung komplett weich und erinnerte im Geschmack und der Konsistenz stark an Kibbeling. Wir konnten es leider nicht aufessen und mussten es zu 80% stehen lassen. Es ist aber einfach unser Geschmack gewesen, der wohl nicht dem des Essens entsprach. Ansonsten war die Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

The best karaage in Düsseldorf!

As soon as I moved in, I went there every day because there was nothing to eat at home. First of all, the karaage is very delicious. Udon is also delicious. Especially if you add spicy powder to it. It seems to suit Korean tastes better. I plan to try each menu one by one. Next time, I’ll have karaage and beer!

The food was fresh, delicious, the #on the chicken was super crunchy, even though it was in the curry sauce, it was super pleasant, the people were nice, I would love to come back.

Edit: was there again. Karaage really not convinced even though it was hot. Kind of boring in terms of taste. The garlic sauce is forgettable. Udon was ok, a bit too sweet. Service is good, taste is juicy. The tartar sauce is ok, the brown sauce underneath was better. Next time I would use sauce on the side where you can dip because it soaks the karaage. In principle, the karaage is not crispy or mochi-like as we sometimes know it to be. I missed that a little. Otherwise great. Next time I would use a different sauce and put it on the side.

Even though Kenny's Kitchen is very simply decorated, the extremely tasty kaarage definitely makes up for it. Super juicy chicken with very tasty sauces! Gladly again!

Unfortunately, according to the owner, the Crispy Chicken Balls are prepared in a special way that, to me personally, they taste like they're undercooked. Very wobbly and almost a bit slimy. Still very red inside, but that's normal according to the owner. That's probably what it's all about and it's just not my taste. I like crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, juicy or not, but no wobbly with every bite. Still worth a try. ♡

The takeaway seemed to be very hyped so we had high expectations. Unfortunately the food wasn't convincing. The two of us each ordered the menu with 3 different varieties, meaning you could try almost everything. You can hardly taste the difference in the sauces etc. In addition, some of our chicken wasn't completely cooked through. Ambience wise it's ok for a quick bite and the staff is friendly.

Very authentic Japanese snack with super tasty karaage. They can be ordered with different sauces, alternatively with rice or fries. There are also soups and desserts (neither eaten). Service super sweet.

Incredibly delicious karaage with a wide selection of sauces, fries were also good. The dessert made from dough cake is really recommended. The service is extremely accommodating and friendly, you feel very welcome.

I only tried the vegan takoyakis but they were very, very tasty! My friends also tried and loved the non-vegan ones! I highly recommend it!

They also have Japanese curries with vegetarian options. Personally I prefer the crispier Karage, this one was tasty and juicy but I felt that the fried chicken lacked crunchiness. The ponzu sauce was delicious.
