Kelchs Fisch- und Museumsrestaurant in Koserow

We were on vacation in Usedom and usually always stopped at a different restaurant. However, it was closed during our stay, so we looked for an alternative - fortunately, that's all we can say. We came across this restaurant while searching and are glad we went. Incredibly delicious food, we all really enjoyed it. The service is simply top class! We were with our 2 year old son and he or she. We have never felt so comfortable in a restaurant! The ambience is spectacular. You can tell that this place has been furnished with great attention to detail. You can always discover new things throughout your stay. We are thrilled, recommend everyone to visit here and can only give a full review. A small note on the side: If you want to eat here, it's best to reserve a table in advance, then nothing will stand in the way of your visit.

Great place, a lot to see, something different

We had ordered a table for 12 people. Were warmly welcomed. Dogs were also allowed into the restaurant. Very nice staff and the food was incredibly good. Even if you don't like fish, you'll find something in the selection of dishes. Only the temperature in the restaurant was too cold... we were freezing. In any case, we can recommend it.

Very tasty food and nice service. You should make a reservation and be prepared to wait. But you can get through this easily thanks to the many little things on display.

The decoration is a matter of taste but otherwise everything is tip top - the fish dishes are very tasty and a fresh cucumber salad is a MUST. Great service. Delicious children's meals that our children really enjoyed eating. Reservation is recommended. Update: been there again in October 2024. Everything was super tasty. Added new photos.

We were there spontaneously with our dog without a reservation. It was no problem finding a table for us, even though the dining room was very full. The staff were very friendly and the food was very good. I had the cutter plaice with fried potatoes (highly recommended). You have to accept a certain waiting time, but everything is freshly cooked and very tasty!!

An absolute insider tip for anyone who doesn't know it yet. We haven't eaten so well in a long time. Great service!!! Please keep it up... We'll be back

A very cozy place with delicious food

It's definitely a different atmosphere for eating, but in a positive sense. You can look at the historical items on display while you wait. The three types of fish in the mixed fish plate were marked with small flags. The tagliatelle with salmon was very plentiful. Only in the pasta casserole was the tomato sauce a bit too spicy for a children's dish. Dogs are also welcome.

Unfortunately the mashed potatoes were cold and still had raw potato pieces. The vegetarian offering was also very limited. However, the fish tasted good.

Very nice restaurant. Better to pre-order. Eating takes a while. But it doesn't matter. There is so much to discover on the walls (or throughout the restaurant) that time flies. Food very tasty. Portions plentiful. A little more expensive. Quality is top. Definitely worth visiting.

I've been to the restaurant twice now and the food was very good. The atmosphere is impressive. I can only recommend it.

We often went to star restaurants but this was a 5 star restaurant. We have never eaten better and the service was also great. Kelch is the best on Usedom. Enjoy it because we need Chalice! You are the best 🤎

Of course, nice place in the middle of Koserow. It really bothers us that smokers are allowed to smoke at the table. On the large property there will be a way to ensure that non-smokers are not disturbed while eating.

We decided at short notice to go to Usedom. I booked a table at short notice because it was our wedding anniversary. We arrived and a beautiful table was set up for us. Thank you very much and the food was very tasty.🫶🌞

Our first visit on the day of arrival was a highlight! Friendly staff, short, reasonable waiting time (dishes are freshly prepared so it takes a while), good selection of food and drinks. Fish dishes couldn't be fresher! The portions are plentiful! We are so excited that we are ending our last day there today.

An absolute must. Very friendly staff. We felt very comfortable. Were amazed at the huge portions. There still had to be dessert. And everything is super delicious. I can recommend the pomegranate lemonade. The fish platter was also very, very good. Be sure to keep it up

Tried it out with luck and luckily got a place. Very friendly and large selection of food. And above all, very tasty. Can only be recommended. The ambience is also very worth seeing.

Despite being classified as a fish restaurant, I decided on a schnitzel dish. First of all: It was the worst schnitzel I've eaten in recent years. When asked, it was confirmed that it was not prepared in the pan, but in the deep fryer. The meat was unnaturally angular, but extraordinarily dry... At least the interior was quite nice. Conclusion: no recommendation.

We highly recommended the restaurant and wanted to try it out ourselves. The atmosphere is very nice and comfortably furnished. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the food. The schnitzels were prepared in the deep fryer, this is a no go for an upscale restaurant! Even after criticism, nothing more than a “thank you” came. The answer: We are a fish restaurant! Then you should NOT include these dishes on the menu! There is definitely NO recommendation from me!

We visited the restaurant following a recommendation and will definitely come back on our next vacation. Reservation is recommended. Beautiful atmosphere on the terrace, very nice service. Sitting in a beach chair, watching the sunset, enjoying an Aperol and then we were very excited about the freshly prepared fish. The historically grown museum is also a must. Very nice atmosphere, delicious food and super friendly service. Even though we were told as soon as we sat down that it would take about an hour to eat, our children (10 & 6) weren't bored or complained. We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, the creme brulee was runny but otherwise, as always, absolutely delicious and the service was great.

Wonderful restaurant, we were here for the second time. If it is full, there will also be a longer waiting time of around an hour. Everything is prepared fresh and everyone receives their food at the same time. Very friendly staff and careful. We will come back.

We visited the restaurant for the first time and will definitely come back on our next vacation. Beautiful ambience, very nice service. Extremely child-friendly with a large children's menu, as a welcome there was a cup with pens for drawing. The dog was also welcome and received a water bowl. The food was excellent, tasteful and beautifully presented to the eye. Price-performance is right. Reservation is definitely recommended. We got there at 5pm and it got full pretty quickly.

We had a delicious meal in a well-kept atmosphere with very friendly staff. A varied menu at normal prices, sitting outside under a large sun/umbrella... wonderful. The museum inside is worth seeing, lots of old pieces to admire. We'll be back 😀

A clear recommendation if you like fresh fish. Here, every meal is only prepared when it is ordered. You should therefore expect longer serving times. Of course, there are also various other dishes for non-fish lovers. Staff is always friendly no matter how busy it is. Attention to the guest is also very important here.

Fish restaurant and museum, that's when we became curious. You immediately have cobwebs and dust in your head. But nothing there...the interior is lovingly decorated and maintained with many interesting pieces. Then the food tastes good too! 😊 So we had a really nice evening. Thank you for that.

If you could give it 6 stars, I would. The fish platter for 2 also saturates 3 people and is simply fish Champions League. Plus the funny and stylish interior, which you almost don't notice in the secluded garden. That's why you shouldn't miss a visit inside the restaurant in summer!

Wir reisen regelmäßig auf die Insel Usedom und Kelch ist dann immer ein must have. Auch dieses Mal war es wieder bestens. Der Service wie immer sehr gut und auf das Essen geschmacklich bestens. Klar ist es etwas teurer, aber dafür eine sehr Qualität.

Wir sind wie jedes Jahr wenn wir in Koserow Urlaub machen bei Kelchs essen gewesen. Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Service Team . Auch das Essen war super ! Wir können es nur weiter empfehlen. Weiter so!👍

We spent a week on vacation in the town and went out to eat there on the last day. The staff was consistently friendly. The food was incredibly tasty and we were impressed by the presentation of the dishes. Since we are not fish lovers, we opted for schnitzel and carrot rösties. Both were extremely tasty and freshly prepared. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely stop by again! Oh and be sure to try the crème brûlée. Best regards, Anne & Marco

Really nice fish restaurant with tradition. You have to take some time, but it's definitely worth it. We were guests three times in 14 days. However, reservation is recommended.

Cozy establishment serving delicious fresh fish. It was so delicious that we ate there twice during our short stay in Koserow. Highly recommended for fish lovers. The toilet, which in my opinion is a good indicator of hygiene, looks very neat. And the museum part is also a feast for the eyes.

We had the Neptune Platter and the pollock in beer batter. Both were very tasty. The staff was very nice.

Absolutely delicious fish pot and would highly recommend the restaurant again

First of all: Absolutely recommended!!!! The food is good and the portions are reasonable. The children also get a good selection. For the little ones there are also colored pencils to color the children's menu. I can't judge the interior, but the children were thrilled with the treasure and the gold in the floor ☺️ The outdoor area is definitely very inviting and cozy! The prices may work. may seem daunting at first glance, but they are absolutely fine because the overall package is worth it. We had the small ribs, the mixed fish plate, fried fish and nuggets for the little ones - everything was great!

Everything was great all around. The food is varied and there is something for everyone (vegetarians, meat lovers, fish fanatics). The spare ribs and the fried potatoes were great. The service was courteous, friendly and humorous. You immediately felt comfortable. You can sit so nicely outside and the inside is very pretty with a mix of modern and rustic. Really great. The price-performance ratio is great. Upon request, blankets were even given outside. All in all a successful evening in Kelch's fish and museum restaurant Kosorow.
