A true highlight on the Baltic Sea! The food was fresh and excellently prepared – the fish dishes are especially delicious. The ambiance, with its maritime exhibits, is lovingly designed and unique. The service was very friendly and attentive. We felt completely at home and would gladly return. Highly recommended!

Ambience as it should be. Food: Fine fish soup should not contain potatoes. Pike-perch with lemon butter and vegetables. The vegetables were from the day before and had just been reheated. I've been here once and won't be back. I tried it...unfortunately.

Auf der Suche nach einem Fischrestaurant, sind wir der Empfehlung von TripAdvisor gefolgt. Das war eine sehr gute Idee. Der Empfang war Herzlich und sehr freundlich, wir hatten vorher Reserviert, was sehr zu empfehlen ist. Vorspeisen, Hauptgang und Dessert sind zügig mit guten Abständen an den Tisch gekommen. Bis auf die Bratkartoffeln (waren sehr Dick geschnitten und im Kern teilweise noch etwas bissfest) gab es keinen Grund zur Beanstandung. Alles war Heiß und sehr köstlich. Unserer Meinung nach, stimmt das Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis sehr gut. Jederzeit würden wir die tolle Gastfreundschaft wieder in Anspruch nehmen. Klare Empfehlung

We were in this restaurant again on Easter Sunday. And as always, it was just great. From the service to the ambience and especially the food. I chose the noble fish pot. So delicious, simply recommended. Although advertised as a museum restaurant, it doesn't seem too overloaded. So in short we will definitely be back!

The ambience is particularly noteworthy. We just liked this rustic, maritime decoration. We tried a fish platter because we first have to discover what we actually like best. Of course we didn't make it, but it was incredibly tasty! The team is also very friendly and accommodating.

We came spontaneously without a reservation and with a dog and were given a very friendly welcome. We both had mixed fish platters. The fish was well cooked, the fried potatoes and the cucumber salad were great. We can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience. Thank you for the lovely evening. ☺️

We spontaneously ate here on a Wednesday. The fish platter, the flounder and the fish meatballs... everything was super tasty and very nicely prepared. The service was also very good. Absolute recommendation.

Greeted like acquaintances, entertained like friends, treated like family. We were there for our wedding anniversary. The table was lovingly decorated. The food was very tasty, the only drawback was TOO MUCH.

We were very satisfied with our stay. We spontaneously got a place for dinner for 4 people and a child and intolerances and allergies as well as a vegan diet were taken into account. That was perfect!! We really liked it and the service was super friendly and accommodating 😊

Das Restaurant macht überall aggressiv Werbung... Dies hat es auch bitter nötig. Wir haben es dennoch versucht. Das Ambiente passt ist auch stimmig und wahrscheinlich auch der Grund weshalb alle Gerichte weit mehr kosten als auf dem Rest der Insel. Man nennt sich nämlich Museums Restaurant!! Das Essen ist eher unterdurchschnittlich. Lachs Avocado Tatar... Kaum Lachs, kein Salz und viel zu kalt..Der Mini Steinbutt war augenscheinlich noch nicht mal der Kinderkrippe entsprungen... 37€ . Ich hatte zu Weihnachten einen Steinbutt..Durchmesser 40 cm für 38 €. Von dem sind locker zwei Leute satt geworden. Der Service ist auch nicht auf der Höhe der Zeit. Kann er auch nicht... Im Gastraum steht ein Tisch mit Papieren. Es werden laut stark Bestellungen besprochen und laute Privat Telefonate geführt. Dazwischen wird dann mal der Gast bedient. Alles in allem....Völlig überbewertet. Muss man nicht haben. Wenn man auf den Klimbim im Gastraum verzichten kann ist man in jedem Fisch Imbiss besser aufgehoben.

Ein sehr individuell gestaltetes Restaurant mit einer guten Auswahl an Speisen, vor allem Fisch. Der Fisch schmeckte sehr gut und war sehr ansprechend präsentiert. Die Bedienung war schnell und freundlich, ein rundum schönes Erlebnis.

I have celiac disease and ate here today. A friend of ours recommended it and clarified in advance by phone whether gluten-free was possible. I received very warm advice from the boss. Everything was specially prepared and apart from the fact that it worked and I tolerated the food, I enjoyed this extraordinarily good meal incredibly. A recommendation to every celiac!!! Just ask. Here you will be taken seriously and you can enjoy worry-free.

Wir waren das erste Mal hier. Das Restaurant ist absolut interessant. Der Service ist super. Man ist immer bei den Gästen. Die Kritiken "ich wurde nicht satt" oder "viel zu hohe Preise" sind für uns nicht nachvollziehbar. Das Essen war insgesamt der Hammer. Als Vorspeise hatten wir das Edelfischsüppchen. Der Hauptgang war Zanderfilet mit Garnelen und Kutterscholle mit Garnelen. Frisch, reichlich und megalecker. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist voll in Ordnung. Das Restaurant ist absolut zu empfehlen und wenn es uns nochmal auf die Insel Usedom verschlägt kehren wir in bester Erinnerung wieder hier ein. Liebes Restaurant-Team: Macht weiter so.

Enjoyed a very nice evening. There is space for the large car, the route from there to the restaurant is short, as is the route to the pier and beach. Ideal location for a walk after dinner. The same is absolutely recommended. If you're looking for 4 stars, you've come to the wrong place; if you're looking for a characteristic, regional and loving arrangement, you've come to the right place. What's missing are the old men with beards puffing on their wooden pipes, whiskey in their hands and the smell of fine tobacco filling the room alongside sailor's thread. Regional cuisine that leaves no room for defects in either taste or presentation. My snapshot was absolutely successful and ended a beautiful day at the sea with flying colors. Thank you very much. We'd love to come back.

1/2024: Despite a very short notice request, we were still able to reserve a table. It was very busy but the staff were absolutely prompt, friendly and well organised. The food was also very good. 1/2025: Once a year we go on holiday on the island of Usedom and always eat at “Kelchs”. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is rustic and cozy.. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined. We each ordered a fish fillet platter for €32.60 each. Unfortunately, my husband had to “fumble” out a lot of bones; everything was a little too salty and, above all, the fish was too dry…!!! The food was on our table very quickly after we ordered, which surprised me a bit since according to the big, funny sign it's not a fast food restaurant... It's a shame, but we won't be coming back now...

After requesting by phone, we still got a table for 2 despite it being December 31st, 2024. The service staff served in a funny and quick manner and had a quick saying on their lips. Well, what do you actually rave about more? About the absolutely delicious food? About the incredibly cozy atmosphere, even though EVERY seat was occupied? Or from Anette, the full-blooded restaurateur who, with her great team, manages to give every guest one of these on the penultimate evening of the year on an island that is so busy with tourists that they don't even want to leave? Or homemade butterscotch or caraway seeds? I can not decide. Thanks to you, it was simply wonderful with you!

We were on vacation for a few days on Usedom for the first time and happened to notice the restaurant through an advertising sign. Were positively surprised! Rustic atmosphere, friendly service and great food. Good fish, plenty of side dishes and delicious homemade sauce.

We were on vacation in Usedom and usually always stopped at a different restaurant. However, it was closed during our stay, so we looked for an alternative - fortunately, that's all we can say. We came across this restaurant while searching and are glad we went. Incredibly delicious food, we all really enjoyed it. The service is simply top class! We were with our 2 year old son and he or she. We have never felt so comfortable in a restaurant! The ambience is spectacular. You can tell that this place has been furnished with great attention to detail. You can always discover new things throughout your stay. We are thrilled, recommend everyone to visit here and can only give a full review. A small note on the side: If you want to eat here, it's best to reserve a table in advance, then nothing will stand in the way of your visit.

We had ordered a table for 12 people. Were warmly welcomed. Dogs were also allowed into the restaurant. Very nice staff and the food was incredibly good. Even if you don't like fish, you'll find something in the selection of dishes. Only the temperature in the restaurant was too cold... we were freezing. In any case, we can recommend it.

The decoration is a matter of taste but otherwise everything is tip top - the fish dishes are very tasty and a fresh cucumber salad is a MUST. Great service. Delicious children's meals that our children really enjoyed eating. Reservation is recommended. Update: been there again in October 2024. Everything was super tasty. Added new photos.

We were there spontaneously with our dog without a reservation. It was no problem finding a table for us, even though the dining room was very full. The staff were very friendly and the food was very good. I had the cutter plaice with fried potatoes (highly recommended). You have to accept a certain waiting time, but everything is freshly cooked and very tasty!!

A very cozy place with delicious food

It's definitely a different atmosphere for eating, but in a positive sense. You can look at the historical items on display while you wait. The three types of fish in the mixed fish plate were marked with small flags. The tagliatelle with salmon was very plentiful. Only in the pasta casserole was the tomato sauce a bit too spicy for a children's dish. Dogs are also welcome.
