A special experience – but something was missing The Cat Temple is definitely something special, and it was lovely to experience such a concept firsthand. The facilities are lovingly designed, the cats have plenty of places to retreat to, and they seem well cared for. The desserts and drinks were also delicious and beautifully presented. Nevertheless, I felt something was missing – it's hard to say whether it was the atmosphere or the overall experience. Perhaps I had hoped for a bit more of a "feel-good" factor or some interaction. Overall, though, it was a lovely visit and definitely something worth seeing!

We were there yesterday and it was really lovely. The food was really good, and sodas too. The cats really enjoyed themselves there. We'd love to come again.

We went to eat at Katzentempel on a Saturday evening. We were looking forward to a nice, cozy evening. The interior is really lovely, and I'd say the cats are very well cared for there. Now for the rest. The food took an hour from ordering to being served. (Which is perfectly acceptable on a Saturday evening, but we had hoped to at least get some information about the wait time or to be asked if we wanted a small snack. We weren't even asked if we wanted anything to drink.) After waiting 50 minutes, we politely asked the server about it. We only received a curt reply telling us to wait. So we waited. When the food arrived, the curry was a ridiculously small portion for the price and, on top of that, cold. The cheeseburger (vegan) had a cold patty, and it wasn't very tasty either. When we went to pay, the service wasn't exactly friendly. So, in conclusion, the service was abysmal, the food took forever, and then it was cold. Once and never again.

I recently visited the Cat Temple in Leipzig and was absolutely thrilled! This café is a cozy oasis with a wonderful concept. The ambiance is beautiful, very inviting, and instantly puts you in a relaxed mood. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The absolute highlight, of course, is the feline residents! The cats roaming and lounging around are simply adorable. I find the concept of combining animal welfare with a café very interesting and brilliantly executed. I especially love the option to sponsor a cat – a fantastic idea! It's certainly sensible and reassuring that the kitchen and bar are separated for hygiene reasons – it shows how seriously hygiene and animal welfare are taken here. And the food? First-class! The vegan options are very diverse, well-thought-out, and incredibly delicious. We all had the "Hangover Breakfast," which we highly recommend. The price-performance ratio is excellent. ... The Cat Temple in Leipzig is the perfect place to enjoy a coffee in peace, try delicious vegan food, and be surrounded by purring felines. Highly recommended!

this is the most energetic katzentempel i’ve ever visited. all cats were having zoomies and they were talkative, it’s super cute. the interior is also designed in a way that the cats have more space to play than at other cat cafes. service was a bit slow but still super nice. food is good. also very nice that they adopted cats with disabilities.

A must for cat lovers! First things first... the cats are doing incredibly well there 🐱 They all look very well cared for and relaxed. The little fur balls also have their own retreats, accessible through cat flaps. The staff is super friendly, and you feel very welcome. We had to wait a little longer for our food, but that was probably because there were seven of us. We easily passed the time watching the cats, though. But the wait was worth it! The food is delicious and all vegan 🌱 Win-win ✨ I would definitely go back here whenever I'm in Leipzig.

Last Friday, I met up with a friend, and she raved about your cat café, so she had to show it to me. It was definitely worth it, because the cat temple had passed my first impression. I ordered a chai latte, which wasn't bad. But I've had tastier chais. On the other hand, the Raspberry Dream cake from the winter menu was delicious, not too sweet, and very sweetly presented. The staff were very respectful and kind, and brought our food to the table quickly. One of the employees brought one of the cute tomcats onto my lap, which was so light. The other cats were also very cute and calm. Considering that cats can't be trained, they certainly gave that impression. The café has a very natural but, above all, cozy design, where you can simply feel at home. We will definitely be back and look forward to more lunch or coffee dates with you!

Definitely a great place to look at or pet cats. But for good coffee and good service, there are much better places in Leipzig. Everything took a long time, and you always had to ask twice to order or get the bill.

We were delighted by the little ones 🥰 that was the most important thing for us; it was an experience during the meal. You can tell how comfortable the cats are. Cleanliness was top-notch. Our food was excellent; for my first vegan experience, I had nothing to complain about. All in all, we would go for the hour again.

Cool atmosphere for cat lovers. Unfortunately, on a Saturday it was so crowded that you almost feel sorry for the animals. They like to attack children, but also many adults. The service was super friendly, but the colleagues at the counter were very slow. We waited almost half an hour just for our coffee.

The cat temple on Katharinenstraße is a bit darker and quainter than the other one, giving the café a more cozy feel. Two weeks in advance, we reserved a table with the request to reserve it centrally. When we arrived, this wasn't recorded in the system, and we were shunted to the very back of the café. When we spoke directly, the employee in question denied everything, and there was no other kind of attention or anything like that to excuse the mishap. We had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks, and the food would have taken 40 minutes. The cute little furry friends naturally did their best, and as a cat lover, you're on cloud nine. The menu itself is nicely designed and includes a few etiquette rules, which some parents seemed to be completely indifferent to. The other employees present were very friendly and tried to keep things running smoothly. In comparison to the other cat temple, the employees in this cat temple are welcome to work a few hours there and also participate in training courses on service and support.

The food itself is delicious. The service is very friendly, but in my opinion, a bit overwhelmed at times, as the café is sometimes quite busy. First, it took a while for us to order. Then drinks were forgotten, and then the two desserts we ordered arrived 15-20 minutes apart. I personally didn't like the café, but the food was, as I said, very tasty. Of course, that's no big deal, but it does somewhat spoil the experience. The prices are, in my opinion, typical for downtown. Lovely for a trip with cat lovers or children, but probably not going to be my favorite café.

One of the most wholesomest cafes in Leipzig, especially for those who adore cats, however, I am quite sure they will soften even the rockiest hearts :D That said, it's a lovely, cosy and modern place. I had a rainbow bowl with some raspberry vinegrette(?) and can recommend it for anyone who seeks for a refreshing meal packed with flavours and textures! :)

As a cat lover, I was very impressed by the Cat Temple. The equipment for the cats is very interesting and varied. The climbing area runs through the entire café, which is simply fantastic. The cats were relaxed and loved to cuddle. In my opinion, they are the most beautiful animals in the world. The vegan poppy seed cake was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and cheerful. Fantastic, I'd love to go back... a big hug to the cats... 😻♥️☕💯

So hot, too hot in the summer no air conditioning especially front part of the cafe. Went there for the cats and there was like two, so not really a cat cafe in comparison to the ones I’ve been to. Food was ok so was the service but pricey so not really worth it

A really nice idea, lovingly done. The cats have profiles on the menus, and you get a short introduction on how to interact with them. The staff is also very nice. I had a sandwich with fries, which was quite tasty, and the sodas are good too. The cats are relaxed, coming over every now and then or chilling in a basket, sometimes right above you ;-) It's fun to look for them, like in a picture book, but instead of "Where's Wally?", it's "Where are all the cats hiding?" Now, unfortunately, the only criticism: we had to wait over an hour for our food. However, since I had to catch a train to get home and the food didn't arrive until so late, a friend and I could only have it packed to go... we hadn't imagined a cozy meal at the end. Additionally, our table neighbors, who ordered a bit later than us, received their food faster. Suggestion: Please inform guests in advance that they'll have to wait a long time for their food, so they can consider whether they have the time or not. We would have simply appreciated a warning from the staff here.

With the sweet and well-groomed cats, it's easy to forget about the food, as you're naturally distracted by the little predators – who have a wonderful time here. But the food also gets 5 stars from us: We had a burger and a sandwich – both were delicious, the portions were generous, and we didn't have to wait long. The side salad was also beautifully presented. The service was very friendly, and you can really feel how much the cats love their "employees." We'll definitely be back!

Four of us went there yesterday because I thought it was a great idea to have cats around during dinner. It was a highlight, especially for our children, even though they're used to it at home. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. When I made the reservation, I had requested a highchair for our little son if possible. Unfortunately, there wasn't one at the table at the beginning. Our son (almost 2 years old) was thrilled by the cats and naturally wanted to pet them. He was a little loud, which was due to his joy. He also tried to run away from us, with my husband right behind him. After a short while, the waitress came over to me and told me that if the little one was so excited, we could take him outside, because it wasn't very well received. They'd also be running around with hot food and wouldn't want to hurt anyone. However, I find that argument very weak, considering there were seven cats running around on the floor, among other things. For me, it was like an indirect eviction. So my husband waited outside with our son until the food arrived. Then we also received the high chair we had requested. The food was okay. My burger was a bit cold. But since we felt like we had to leave quickly, I didn't say anything. I ended up being very annoyed that I had tipped so much. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it to guests with small children who express their joy at the animals. I'm aware that the animals need peace and quiet and shouldn't be chased. My son should learn exactly how to behave. But I think the cats in a restaurant also have to be able to cope with such situations; otherwise, perhaps it should be mentioned that the restaurant is only recommended for children of a certain age. As I said, we felt thrown out. If we hadn't already ordered food, we would have left. Unfortunately, this was our first and last time there, although the concept is quite nice.

We waited a very long time for our order and also a very long time for the bill. If you visit this establishment, calculate your time. The food is too spicy, salty, peppery and sweet at the same time. We liked the drinks, we didn't try the desserts, but they looked appetizing and beautiful. And of course the CATS, each with their own character, but all cute, give the establishment a cozy and warm atmosphere.

Well, definitely for people who love cats. We made a reservation. The service was great, the vegetarian food was delicious. The cats preferred to sleep. But it was a very warm day, and bedtime for cats anyway.

A very nice, clean, and quiet café with a relaxed atmosphere. The cats are relaxed, occasionally wandering by or visibly resting – without being intrusive. This means that even non-cat fans can enjoy their visit. The food (purely vegan) was truly delicious; even as non-vegans, we were pleasantly surprised, and despite our food intolerances, there were great alternatives. I would particularly like to emphasize the very friendly service. Overall, a relaxing experience – absolutely recommended, even if you only treat cats with "sympathy." 😉

This was my first time visiting a cat café, and I was absolutely thrilled. The vegan food was delicious (I tried the "Tropical Paw"), and the homemade lemonades were super refreshing. The temple tigers were very sweet and enjoyed being petted. They were a bit sleepy in the evenings, though. But that didn't bother me. Watching them dream was at least as enjoyable as petting them. Definitely worth a visit!

Very friendly service, good food, and a nice atmosphere. In my opinion, the restrooms could be newer and better equipped—but these are really minor things.

The Cat Temple in Leipzig is a very special place for me. I look forward to eating there every time – not just because of the delicious food (whether savory or sweet, it's always delicious!), but especially because of the wonderful atmosphere and, of course, the cats. 🐾 It's very special to have the cats so close to you – it has an incredibly calming effect. Even on days when I wasn't feeling well, I immediately felt better there. The relaxed, mindful atmosphere is simply soothing, and you can see how lovingly the animals are treated. I look forward to every new visit! 💛

A really nice restaurant with a lot of delicious dishes.. it was really special.. it's all vegetarian and there is no meat but the vegetarian meat really tastes like real meat, everything is freshly made and it's really delicious, unfortunately we were there during wgt (Wave gossic) and the cats didn't dare to go down.

I was absolutely thrilled with the Katzentempel Mitte! The food was incredibly delicious—the chili con fries were especially impressive; the fries were wonderfully crispy. The cats slept very soundly; the atmosphere was wonderful. The space is lovingly decorated, clean, and well-maintained; it smells pleasantly fresh, and the place is thoroughly cleaned after each guest. A truly excellent cat café experience in the heart of Leipzig! I'd love to go back! 🐱✨

The restaurant is very relaxing, but with the cats everywhere, there's always something to discover. Petting the little fluffy four-legged friends makes waiting for food pleasant. A big compliment goes to the very polite staff, who answer every question and exude a calm atmosphere. The food is simply heavenly.
