Jedermann Restaurant in Leipzig

The restaurant is a bit dated. The staff is friendly, and the chef conjures up wonderfully delicious food. And all at an unbeatable price. Super

I've rarely experienced such poor service! It wasn't a pleasant experience, and I really wouldn't recommend it to ANYONE!

What happened here today leaves me absolutely speechless. I was part of a funeral congregation that started at the nearby cemetery. A reservation was made at this restaurant afterward, as can be seen. We arrived and no one was there. Twenty people, including elderly people who weren't able to walk well, came for nothing and found themselves in front of a locked door! It wasn't possible to spontaneously switch to another restaurant. Something like this has never happened to me before, and it made an already sad day even worse. Simply unbelievable!

Once and never again. We waited 1.5 hours for our food, and it was simply terrible. I ordered goulash and got little dry-roasted pieces of meat that were simply smothered in gravy. The bread dumplings were burnt and tasted of nothing. When I complained, the cook simply said the food was fine.

When you have to wait 1.5 hours for your food, even if it's just plain home-cooked food, you have to ask yourself, right? When you ask, you get a venomous stare and a rude answer.

Incredibly unreliable!! I had booked this café exclusively for the memorial service following my father's funeral. The date and details had been confirmed several times by email and phone, most recently a few days in advance. However, on the day itself, we found ourselves with all the guests locked out – the owner had simply forgotten about us. In the intense heat, with elderly and some frail people, without food, drinks, or restrooms, it was an unimaginable shock. In an already very emotional moment, this was a fiasco that massively overshadowed what would have been a dignified farewell. I am incredibly disappointed!

Even after moving to the new location, it is immediately a place to feel comfortable, you can also find some of the inventory from the old Jedermann there. Everything in itself seems authentic. A nice, large dining room, the staff is very friendly and the food is simply unbeatably good, home cooking that tastes good at unbeatable prices... We felt very comfortable there. There's a radio playing somewhere in the corner and there are also games for game nights.

We were simply turned away this evening at 5 p.m. because of birthday preparations, we could have been identified on the internet, never again, we'd rather go out to eat at an Italian restaurant, what a disgrace

We were here with a whole school class at the end of our school trip. There couldn't have been a better place for it. The food was authentic, delicious and there were even vegan options! We were able to talk to the owner for a bit and were completely impressed by the dedication and passion with which she runs the store. ❤️

The staff was totally overwhelmed We had to wait over 30 minutes for drinks. The food was served after almost 2 hours and then not everything was brought because it was forgotten and it really wasn't tasty (overcooked "cheese spaetzle" and the potato soup was just sour.) We were in Leipzig for a weekend and discovered this great "cafe" (which is much more than that) by chance on Google on Saturday. What can I say other than it was great? We were there again on Sunday. Everything is cooked in-house, even the curds and egg tarts. The cocoa doesn't just come out of the machine either. Everything was very tasty, the prices are great, the cook and owner does a great job. There is a large play area for the children and also card games to pass the time while waiting. Yes, you may have to wait a little longer because everything is made fresh, but it's definitely worth it. If we are in Leipzig again, we will definitely go there again. :)

The Everyman is no longer an insider tip, it's actually almost iconic. Friends of delicious, honest and inexpensive home cooking have come to the right place. The landlady is super nice and doesn't lose her good mood even under the greatest stress.

Café Allesmann has moved and I am so happy to have visited the new location in Merseburger. The setting is at least as cozy as before in the Georg-Schwarz and the food is just as delicious and the staff is just as authentic. I'm already looking forward to the outside tables in summer! Because this new location is in the countryside...

Apart from the parking which is on the road and then on foot on a dirt road, everything was excellent, from the welcome to the food, all homemade. Typical dishes. The particular furnishings are also definitely worth it.

We were there for the first time, for a hit party. The atmosphere is old but the atmosphere was great. Especially Mariechen, the mascot, I think made the atmosphere endless.

Positively surprised!!! Who would expect such a great location here?! The owner runs the business in a very loving and family-like manner, the food is homemade, really tasty and at a fair price. This is how gastronomy works! For dinner we had goulash, cheese spaetzle and two delicious desserts. Very happy again 👍😋

A bar with very old decoration, a worn-out appearance. The food is overwhelming, the service is terrible, the waiter goes out to smoke and doesn't come back. A dessert took 40 minutes. I will not come back.

A case for the health department! - Spoiled food: The meat dish smelled sour and spoiled, the tomato salad tingled on the tongue, so it was already fermenting. We didn't want to eat the other dishes anymore either. Absolutely inedible, we left the restaurant with an empty stomach. Aside from that: - 1 hour until drinks arrived (after several requests). The "food" came after 1 1/2 hours around 9:30 p.m. - The waiter was completely disheveled and unhygienically dressed (sweaty, holey shirt, baggy sweatpants) - a look into the open kitchen showed unhygienic surfaces and dusty stuff standing around. A Bautzner mustard bucket was spinning in the microwave, contents unknown. These plastic buckets definitely don't belong in the microwave. Does a microwave even belong in a restaurant kitchen? A star is not a star. Just stay away.

Super uriges Kneipchen in meiner alten Heimat. Haben heute sehr, sehr lecker gegessen. Die Portionen sind riesig, die Preise dazu auch für den kleinen Geldbeutel erschwinglich. Änderungswünsche werden auf Nachfragen auch entgegengenommen. Das Lokal ist sehr kinderfreundlich mit einer urigen Spielecke, die mich fast in meine eigene Kindheit versetzt hat. Das Personal sehr freundlich u. fast familiär. Ich habe mich sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt. Und ... ja, das Essen dauert etwas (7 Personen) - dafür ist aber alles frisch zubereitet u. nix aus der Mikrowelle !!! In dieser Zeit gab es am Tisch genug zu erzählen ! Danke an das ganze Team der Location !

Schönes Cafe und richtig gemütlich. Die Preise sind unschlagbar und viel zu günstig. Da kann man nur hoffen, dass es sich noch sehr lange hält und der Kundenstamm die Treue hält. Ich habe für 4 Personen gerade mal 60€ bezahlt, inkl. Getränke!!! Top Empfehlung 👍

Immer wenn wir in Leipzig sind, essen wir dort....da kommen Erinnerungen hoch - so hat meine Oma noch gekocht....verdammt lecker und bodenständig... Wir kommen immer wieder!!!!! Das einzige Manko ist die Toilette, die ist eben auch noch sehr alt und geruchsintensiv....

Wir waren für ein paar Tage in Leipzig. Dort sind wir durch unsere Vermieter auf das " Jedermann" aufmerksam gemacht worden. Es war bombig 😍das Essen war 1.Klasse,lecker, vielfältig,gute bürgerliche Küche,die an Omas leckere Küche erinnert. Bedienung echt auf Zack und sehr freundlich und die Küche bekommt 5 Sterne von mir. Wir kommen gerne wieder 😄

Wir sind bis jetzt zwei mal im Jedermann gewesen. Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen vorher noch etwas zu essen da es ewig dauert bis man seine Bestellung bekommt. Bei unserem ersten Besuch haben wir ca 1h gewartet. Beim Zweiten sind wir mit knurrenden Mägen nach über 1,5h gegangen da wir trotz mehrfachem Nachfragen unsere Gerichte nich bekommen haben. Das ist sehr schade für das Lokal da das Ambiente und die Speisen super sind. Aber wenn der Kellner sichtlich stoned ist wundert es dieser Umstand nicht.

Super leckeres, hausgemachtes Essen. Hat zwar etwas länger gedauert, aber es hat sich gelohnt.

Sehr gemütlich mit Holzofen, gute Auswahl überwiegend bürgerlicher Gerichte, schneller Service, der auch auf individuelle Wünsche eingeht. Angesichts der großartigen Qualität und Zubereitung der Speisen sehr moderate Preise.

Super nette kleine Gaststätte. Die Inhaberin/Köchin ist der Hammer. Das Essen ist einfach, bodenständig und mehr als lecker. Der Kellner ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Insgesamt eine Reise zurück ins Omas gute deutsche Küche und das alles zu einem unschlagbaren Preis.

Zufällig dort vorbei gekommen und einen Volltreffer gelandet. Gemütliche Atmosphäre, super hausgemachtes! Essen, sehr freundliche Bedíenung und das alles zum kleinen Preis. Was will man mehr? Nichts.

Wir sind zufällig hier vorbeigekommen und haben nicht bereut, das Jedermann besucht zu haben. Kaffee und Co. sind hier sehr schmackhaft und auch die Speisen waren sehr lecker und die Portionen unglaublich reichlich. Preis-Leistung war unserer Meinung nach TOP.

Get an authentic taste of Saxony in a charming pub restaurant. Varied menu with English version available. The hosts are charming and very helpful. Be wary of the wait though for food and between courses as this is a very relaxed venue.

Genau nach einem Jahr wieder Familientreffen mit Mittagessen.Essen nach wie vor gut, heiß und fast frisch. Leider eine Art Einheitssoße. Bedienung etwas langsam, sieht keine leeren GLÄSER. Grünkohl sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig, aus meiner Sicht nicht empfehlenswert. Gaststätte gg. 12.00 Uhr nicht gut geheizt. Toilettentür zu den Herren nach wie vor nicht fixierbar.

Im Rahmen unseres Leipzig Besuchs haben wir uns spontan entschieden, ins Jedermann zu gehen, um dort urig zu sitzen und lecker zu Essen - wie in zahlreichen Bewertungen beschrieben. Dazu kam es leider nicht. Wir betraten das Lokal in der Hoffnung, einen Tisch zu bekommen, obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten. Es kam direkt eine ältere, blonde Bedienung und fragte nach unserer Tischreservierung. Wir sagten, dass wir nicht reserviert haben. Darauf sagte sie unfreundlich: Wir haben keinen Platz! Schob unseren Freund zur Seite und ging an ihm und uns vorbei und weg. Das Essen, den Service können wir nicht bewerten. Die Bewertung bezieht sich lediglich auf die pampige Info, dass alles reserviert ist und das rustikale aus dem Weg schieben. Schade. Wir werden in nächster Zeit noch öfter in Leipzig sein, einen Besuch im Jedermann werden wir uns sparen: für den ersten Eindruck hat man nur eine Chance.

Os pratos são bem servidos e o preço menor do os restaurantes centrais. A comida é muito boa, com gosto de caseira. O atendimento foi muito simpático

Ein Gastraum ( Wohnzimmer ) aus den 50 iger + 60 iger Jahren. Sehr ehrlich, kein Schicki Micki. Der Gastraum im EG ( Haus-Ecke ), das Haus um 1920, nicht saniert aber urgemütlich, mit Kohlefeuerung. Sehr gut besucht, am Abend und Wochenende vorbestellen. Parken mitunter problematisch in den Nebenstraßen. Gute Speisekarte. Es wird kochend heiß serviert. Die Chefin kocht beste Hausmannskost. Toiletten sauber. Preise sind bürgerlich und somit gut. Sehr nette Bedienung.

Wir waren am 2. Weihnachtsfeiertag mit der ganzen Familie ( 3 Generationen ) zum Mittag im Jedermann. Zum Glück hatten wir vorbestellt, alle Tische waren besetzt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und absolut authentisch. Im Kamin brannte ein Feuerchen und der Weihnachtsbaum war geschmückt, die Tische waren festlich gedeckt. Wir fühlten uns hier sehr wohl. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Schmeckte wirklich bei Muttern. Einen Punkt Abzug muss ich leider trotzdem geben, da die Gans und die Ente noch etwas länger im Ofen hätte bleiben müssen, da sie noch sehr fest war. Als Nachspeise gab es noch Rote Grütze, Milchreis und Eis ..... einfach lecker - Hefeweizen vom Faß gibts übrigens auch. Alles in allem haben wir für 7 Personen 140,00 EUR bezahlt, Hauptspeise, Nachspeise und Getränke ..... unschlagbar günstig!

Sehr gutes gut bürgerliches Essenangebot. Das in einem vernünftigen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Bei kommenden Aufenthalten in Leipzig mindestens ein Mal auf dem Plan.
