A beautiful 300-year-old house, carefully renovated and furnished as a restaurant, with a pleasant outdoor area. The excellent food is served by very friendly and attentive staff. Prices are in the lower upper range. If we lived here instead of in Saarbrücken, this would be one of our regulars.

We had dinner there this evening, and the ambiance was simply beautiful. The staff was incredibly attentive, the food was excellent, and worth every cent. Highly recommended, and we'll be back...today we had fish, and next time the antipasti platter.

I went there with my boyfriend on Sunday afternoon and was absolutely thrilled. The cappuccino, lemonade, and cake tasted fantastic and were beautifully presented. The outdoor area was a bit reminiscent of an enchanted garden, which I really liked, and the half-timbered building also has its charm. The service was extremely friendly. I definitely plan to come again.

The FachWerk already made a good impression online, so we decided to try it. It's an attractive half-timbered house with a large outdoor seating area and umbrellas. The food and drinks were high-quality. Among other things, specialty drinks were presented on a lovingly designed menu with a wide selection. The staff impressed us right from the moment we took our phone reservation. Our thanks for that; as a restaurateur, I value the expertise of their colleagues.

It was a lovely evening with delicious food. The tapas starters were varied and perfectly adequate. The various main courses were delicious and very professionally prepared.

We were there on a warm, sunny May day, first for coffee and cake (outside - sat wonderfully in the garden) and inside in the evening. In both cases, delicious food, great cake and attentive service. Can only warmly recommend the location. Roswitha and Uwe

The quality of the food is very good, but you shouldn't have much of an appetite. P/L 4/5 stars. Unfortunately there wasn't enough on the plates. Unfortunately, the waiter was keen to sell a lot of other things besides the main course. Unfortunately, drinks took a little long and were cleared away late. You still felt comfortable

We were very satisfied the week after a walk around the Auensee without a reservation in the Fachwerk for dinner. Very friendly and attentive staff, the Mediterranean food and the home-made dessert were freshly prepared, well portioned, a delight for the eyes and very tasty. Requests are taken into account. The menu wasn't overloaded and when you ordered you were told that the food would take a while. But it wasn't overly long and very well prepared. The half-timbered house itself gives a flair where you can feel comfortable. It was also well attended. Gladly again.

Super great location near the Leipziger Auensee. Everything homemade and prepared with love. We sat in the garden and had dinner. Small but fine, Mediterranean menu. My tip: Gnocchi - I've never eaten better anywhere! Thank you!

We stopped here after a round at the Auensee. A beautiful small and cozy cafe with an amazing selection of drinks, coffee, cakes and food. Everything seemed appetizing and we enjoyed our cake and coffee. Friendly service. Prices acceptable. Only one handicap, the toilet on the upper floor can only be reached via stairs, so it is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Super nice restaurant... Particularly noteworthy were the appetizer platter, the ice cream and the coffee with cinnamon and cream! Really incredibly good...

Ein sehr zu empfehlendes kleines gemütliches Restaurant mit mediterraner Küche. Zwar eine kleine Karte, aber alles wird frisch zubereitet und ist super lecker. Das selbstgemachte Eis zum Nachtisch oder die Kuchen sind einfach köstlich. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Leipzig werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder dort speisen. Eine Tischreservierung ist zu empfehlen.

A truly wonderful, welcoming place with very attentive staff. We felt completely at home and enjoyed the excellent food. The service was excellent! As a group of girls, we seemed relatively young, and we were asked for ID just to be on the safe side, because we weren't allowed to buy alcoholic beverages. We were old enough, of course, but we thought it was great that they were checking for it.

We were there on Sunday to enjoy coffee and cake. The quality was great, but it has to be for the price. However, it is quite narrow and that goes beyond comfortable. One or two tables (tables of 2) would make it more comfortable for everyone.

We went to the Fachwerk for dinner today. Personally, it was my first time there and I was absolutely thrilled. Small, fine menu, homemade ice cream and cakes as well as cakes made in-house. At first we were impressed by the atmosphere and it promised to be a pleasant afternoon. But then we were quickly disappointed because unfortunately there was no lactose-free cake. Our question about an alternative was answered before we could ask it. The waiter promptly said “the kitchen is already closed”. After such inflexible treatment we have decided to leave again and will definitely not come back. In our opinion, service is different.

The restaurant was very little attended on Thursday evening. There were a total of 12 people in the restaurant with us. The order was received quickly. Unfortunately, most of the dishes are vegetarian, meat dishes are rare. But then...waited 90 minutes for the food. When we asked, we were insulted. The food could be in 5 minutes, if we don't like that, we can leave. Thanks! The pork was bloody and cold, two broccoli florets, six potato wedges. Everything was half cold and extremely dry. One star in terms of taste. The wooden chairs on the terrace were terribly uncomfortable and hard. The general atmosphere is actually inviting, but thank you, we will definitely not be coming back. It's actually very rare to experience such unfriendly staff. But I've never had that before, where you're asked out when you ask whether it'll take a long time... Good staff are just hard to come by. ANSWER to the operator's answer: Unfortunately, it reflects that this is exactly how it is when two people report the same thing. Anyone can gain the experience themselves anyway. Instead of coming to terms with yourself and admitting your mistakes, you (your staff) are pampering people. Who needs that? I've never experienced anything like this before. All the best to you!

Quaint restaurant with Italian dishes. Small menu that doesn't have the typical dishes that every ordinary Italian restaurant has. It tasted very, very tasty. I could have eaten every dish! We had the gnocchi with lemon-sage pesto and the aglio olio. Both great! Tomato soup and savoy cabbage soup as a starter. Also great! Will definitely go again on my next visit.

Hier findet man leckere italienische Küche. Zwar ist die Karte klein, macht gar nichts, die Qualität des Gebotenen ist umso höher. Und so, wie es auf dem Teller aussieht, schmeckt es auch. Wir haben uns bestens bewirtet gefühlt und kommen sehr gern wieder.

A few days ago we had dinner there in the wonderful garden. We both had the gnocchi with market vegetables and herbs. We enjoyed it excellently and the service was very friendly. A clear recommendation

A small half-timbered house, right on the street with a very good Italian restaurant inside. A small idyll in the green courtyard and you feel immediately removed from everyday life. Nicely landscaped and umbrellas provide nice shade. The food is very good, the gnocchi is delicious, the staff is very friendly and attentive. You feel comfortable there...

What can you say about a 5.0? We liked it so much that we wanted to be there again the next day. I look forward to being a guest again at the next opportunity. Goes on the top list.

Food is freshly prepared and super tasty, especially the antipasti plate always surprises with unusual (but delicious) creations.

Small but nice menu + specials on the boards. Large selection of drinks. Location/ambience very nice, staff friendly. On the first visit we had the beetroot pasta with goat cheese, gnocchi with sage pesto and a vegetarian antipasti platter, ½ liter of wine, 2 espressos, 2 schnapps and a shared tiramisu for 81 euros. I think the price is okay. The gnocchi were borderline salty, but the pasta could have used a little more salt :-) On the second visit the food was also very tasty. We really liked the half-timbered structure, we would be happy to recommend it and it was also good value for money.

A very nice place to eat, you can sit very well both inside and in the beautifully landscaped garden. The garden is a highlight with many plants and flowers. The service staff were very friendly and attentive. We were having dinner before a concert and were warned in advance about the possible waiting time. But this turned out to be completely appropriate. Unfortunately the food was quite a disappointment. We had vegetarian gnocchi with zucchini, mushrooms and herbs. The gnocchi were homemade and had a nice bite, but all of the vegetables were raw, not aldente, but completely, absolutely raw and just lukewarm. Therefore the taste was non-existent, except for the garlic and parmesan. It's a mystery to me why such a simple and actually beautiful dish could be ruined by a lack of care. Oh yes, the price... €19.50 for a vegetarian dish?? Then it should really convince.

It was a very nice meal. The 3 course menu was fantastic. The waiters were also very friendly. All in all just great! We'd love to come back when we're nearby. ☺️

Small and fine. It's easy to miss it when driving past. Worth it at the end of a hike or bike tour.

We were 8 people. Ordered our food and had to wait 90 minutes for our food. When we asked when our food would be ready, the waiter became unexpectedly aggressive and said: "If you don't like it, you can leave." When the food finally came, it was only lukewarm. I had the pasta with garlic. I have no idea what takes 90 minutes to prepare. If I cook pasta myself, it only takes me 20 minutes. In addition, the size of my portion was absolutely not enough. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but for 13 or 14 euros I want to be full. In my boredom, I read reviews on Google. I read, among other things, a response from the owner. "Please don't come back!" Don't worry, you don't have to tell me. I'm not coming back voluntarily. Short addendum: The restaurant wasn't full. There were 3 parties and one consisted of two people.

Good outdoor seating, the wooden chairs are not very comfortable, but they fit the ambience. The gnocchi are very good. The service was a bit confusing, first all the tables were reserved and 10 minutes later there was suddenly a free choice of seats. 😃

Die selbstgemachten Torten und Kuchen sind einfach ein Gedicht. Auch die Kaffeespezialitäten lassen keine Wünsche offen. Im naturbelassenen idyllischen Gärtchen fühlt man sich einfach wohl, wie bei Großmutti und Kellner Ramins Freundlichkeit ist schon legendär.

Das Café Fachwerk ist ein super schönes und gemütliches Café und Restaurant. Es bietet mediterrane Küche, super leckere Kuchen und außergewöhnliche Getränke. Was mir seit Jahren auffällt, ist der nicht zufrieden stellende Service. Man muss wirklich Glück haben, dass die Laune bestimmter Servicekräfte gut ist und sie nicht so sehr gestresst sind, dann ist es wirklich super. Wenn man mal spüren will, was schlechter Service ist, muss man nur versuchen einen Tisch per Telefon zu reservieren. Es wird generell gesagt, dass es ausgebucht ist (erlebe es seit Jahren nicht anders)und kein Tisch mehr zu haben ist, auch wenn die Uhrzeit nicht mitgeteilt wurde. Alternativen werden auch nicht genannt. Man ist wohl auf Kundschaft nicht mehr angewiesen. Spart euch den Anruf! Ärgert mich sehr..

Ein kleines unscheinbares Juwel. Wir sind durch Zufall auf dieses wunderschöne Café/Gaststätte gestoßen. Die Speisen sind geschmacklich eine Gaumenfreude . Die Speisekarte ist sorgfältig zusammengestellt. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl . Wir werden auf alle Fälle wieder kommen.

During Advent we stopped at this little gem of a restaurant. The service was extremely friendly, the food tasted delicious and the ingredients were all fresh. The interior is decorated with great attention to detail. The prices are good and the menu is manageable with enough variety. We hope to see you again soon and enjoy the culinary delicacies.

Such a beautiful atmosphere, lovingly furnished, great! Unfortunately, we had bad luck with our waiter...it wasn't clear whether he wanted to cheer us up or was annoyed. In terms of humor, we weren't on the same wavelength at all. Well... I mean something different by good service: it wasn't cleared away, the drinks took a long time and when we ordered dessert shortly before the end of the day, everything fell out of his face... so we should pay immediately because the individual invoice was included 12 men takes a long time. Aha. And, even though we were supposed to leave quickly, he didn't feel able to order a taxi. One call from me and it was at the door 🥴! All in all, we still had a fun evening (unfortunately at his expense). Good staff is rare, it's such a shame that the great impression of the house suffered as a result.
