Katopazzo in München

New owner, new menu! There's no longer a large selection of vegan/vegetarian options, but only one veggie bowl on the menu. We didn't eat anything because we came for the bowls from before - a shame! The prices are also ridiculous, with an Aperol Spritz at 9.90!

New owner - bad experience Used to be a great bowl shop. Returned today for the first time in years. I wish I could write something better: It was super loud (conversation wasn't possible at all), the food wasn't great and it was expensive. Service was ok. Therefore unfortunately no recommendation. Sorry.

I always enjoy coming here and feel very well looked after. I can only recommend it. Even though it was busy, I didn't have to wait long for my drinks and food. The service staff was very attentive and cool.

The food here is always very good, but the service always depends on the evening. Some times I received very attentive and courteous service, other times I had the feeling that the waitress had forgotten me. Since it can get very crowded here, especially on weekends, it's definitely worth making a reservation.

Very overrated in my opinion. Service was good. The ambience would have been good too if the toilet hadn't smelled so strongly of disinfectant, which reached into the restaurant. Food was really very boring. The burgers were uninspired and of poor quality. And then it's also quite expensive - far too expensive for the standard you get

The bowls were a bit weak in taste for us. We had already experienced the price/performance ratio differently. The service wasn't very motivated on our evening...it's a shame. Maybe better next time😊

The place is comfortably furnished, service is okay and drinks are good. Unfortunately the food was nothing...cold, greasy spare ribs and completely cold bowls wouldn't even justify half the price! Too bad...

Delicious food, there is something for every taste, friendly, fast service, ambience okay, quite studenty and loud.

Unfortunately the bowl wasn't good at all. The ingredients were thrown together very randomly and the dressing was not seasoned at all or coordinated with the remaining ingredients. Using leftovers from your own refrigerator would be much better. Unfortunately a culinary mistake, and for almost €20. However, the atmosphere is nice and perhaps the other dishes are tasty, but the bowls are not recommended.

Great restaurant with good food.

In general, a good campaign with the After-Uni Special. However, not serving the guests until 7:02 p.m. and then only being able to sell beer at the normal price seems a bit poor.

Very good food, extremely nice and polite waitresses. Our request to change tables (there was a larger group behind us and they were so loud that it was really uncomfortable) wasn't a problem for the waitress and she was very polite. So definitely worth a visit!!!

Wir kommen beide aus der Gastronomie und haben schon sehr viele Läden gesehen. Das Katopazzo ist tatsächlich ein Sahne Stück in München. Nettes Personal, top Essen, super Ambiente. Wir werden definitiv noch mal dorthin gehen.

Great restaurant with delicious food We were here on business on a Tuesday evening. Online reservation was no problem. We really enjoyed the bowls and sides and were completely enough to fill us up. Service very courteous and nice.

Unfortunately it's no longer the Katopazzo it used to be. The service was nice and friendly, but the food and the ambience are just not the same for me as they were before the change of ownership. And you could clearly see that in the manageable number of guests - a shame.

I'm happy to pass on what my regular customers tell me, it's just very, very nice because the service is the same and the food is also very good and you can eat something different, so my best wishes and I'm looking forward to one if I find time Visit

I just like the Kato. Always good service and delicious food. Where can you say that for years in Munich?

Lesa was our server and she was knowledgeable of all items on the menu. Very personable. Food was delicious. Steak was tasty and tender.

Even though we had very positive memories of the Katopazzo (the last time we were there was during the Corona period), we will not be coming back after our last visit. At first I was pleasantly surprised that prices were not raised massively, contrary to the general trend. After I saw the significantly reduced portion sizes, I quickly realized why. In my memory the bowls were always very large and tasted like a great and unusual experience. Now, however, the bowls were appetizer-sized and aside from being sour (Minced Beef Bowl) and downright bland (Honululu), they were nothing but disappointing. Despite the starter and main course (which were brought to the table together), we both left the restaurant still hungry. The service was generally friendly, but seemed to be constantly trying to sell us other things in a somewhat unpleasant way: “Just water? Don’t you even want to try our cocktails.” The tables are also very close together (also a trend that emerged after Corona) and, despite the initially very empty restaurant, we were seated right next to other people, while the waiters were constantly bustling back and forth behind us because the table was on the aisle. I know that times in the catering industry have become tougher and purchasing prices have risen significantly, but reacting to this with very small portions (then I'd rather pay a little more and get full) and table to table in the dining room is, in my opinion, backwards go. We were there last time. Too bad. P.s. It doesn't help to have our review repeatedly deleted afterwards

The service was nice and professional, the rest was below average. You sit too close together on uncomfortable wooden benches without backrests, listening to an interchangeable playlist that you can, for some unknown reason, follow on a gigantic LED screen. Everything seems kind of random, the food is ok but bland and the bowls are made with a lime sauce that tastes like dishwashing liquid and burns your tongue. Maybe the store's strength lies in the drinks, which we didn't have. So you somehow have the feeling of a generic hotel restaurant. Not terrible, but again you don't need it.

Owner reports critical reviews and has them removed from Google. We waited more than an hour for our food. Really wasn't worth the price. And having the comment removed is intolerable.

I had a wonderful evening with my friends at Katopazzo. The food was a delight and there is hardly anything that could be improved. Of course, there are always little things that could be improved - the service could be a little more attentive, and unfortunately the outside ambience doesn't reflect the charm you experience inside. It's a bit cramped at some tables inside, but the atmosphere makes up for it. Despite these small points of criticism, I give it a full 5 out of 5 points. The overall package of good food and a great time with friends convinced me - even if that is of course completely subjective.

Wij hadden 2 voorgerechten en 1 hoofdgerecht besteld 'to share' De kip avovado salade was een klein bakje met sla, droge kip, avocado, en de Ribs waren heerlijk gekruid! En de steak werd geserveerd op een plank met frietjes en zoete aardappelfrietjes, en dit was n heerlijke combi. Betaalbaar, simpel, kleurrijk. Vriendelijke bediening; snel, grapjes, helemaal goed.

Ich hatte eine leckere Bowl. Kann es auf jeden Fall empfehlen und würde auch wieder hierher gehen.

Schlechter geht´s kaum und das für eine horrenden Preis! Langweilige, einfallslose Vorspeise, matschige Bowl, extrem laffe Pommes! Ich weiß gar nicht, wie es dieses Restaurant auf die Seite von „München mit Vergnügen“ schaffen konnte. Die vielen Reste bitte nicht einpacken, danke!

Für mich ein Geheimtipp in München Tolles Ambiente, gutes Essen, fantastische Drinks, Preis-Leistung stimmt - dort fühlt man sich wohl. Nicht zuletzt, weil der Service überzeugt. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und bedient und hatten einen tollen, entspannten Abend. Hier ist jeder willkommen, sowohl Jung als auch Alt. Etwas abseits von der überlaufenen Schellingstrasse findet man im Katopazzo einen Ort an dem die Qualität noch stimmt. Wir kommen wieder!

Absolutely fantastic! The bowls were on point, good portion sizes, healthy alternatives, great ingredients, very creative setup. Great playlist (I just have to mention it!) with a lot of good international artists. It was hard to find from the outside as the street sign looks a bit 'old fashioned' and we overlooked it. But to me this is a hidden gem ☺️ easily one of my favourite dinner places in Munich.

Really disappointing. The atmosphere is cool, the lemonade was great. But 16 euros for a tasteless bowl? Not worth the price at all!! It was basically a no-flavor meat and noodles, and the other ingredients were hidden and almost missing. Overall, it’s a cool place to have drinks and the basement area was a fun surprise, but I wouldn’t have a meal there again

The value for money for the bowls is not right at all. The bowl wasn't seasoned well, the fries were tainted with a disgusting cheap truffle flavor and the eggplant had leathery strips. It's supposed to be cool, but the quality isn't right. But the atmosphere is really cozy and nice.

We went to Katopazzo (for dinner) with friends for the first time. The ambience is quite nice at first glance. But, as is unfortunately common in Munich, there are too many seats in the restaurant. This and the fact that no countermeasures are taken (such as installing acoustic panels) results in a noise level that makes a conversation quite exhausting. The service was ok: not intrusive, but relatively attentive. But the real reason why people meet to eat - i.e. the food itself - was a) not good and b) completely overpriced. We had different bowls (EUR 14 or EUR 16!) and what was served can only be described as a careless throwing together of some chopped vegetables, quinoa in a homeopathic dose and then drowning the whole thing in a mayo sauce. I don't know who's in the kitchen, but they can't be a professional. A shortage of skilled workers and increased ingredient prices cannot in any way justify what comes out of it. It's a shame, but we definitely won't be coming back, even though we live just around the corner.

Leider war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht angemessen. Die Bowls bestehen fast ausschließlich aus Blattsalat mit nur wenigen Toppings. Als Vorspeise ok - als Hauptgang definitiv nicht ausreichend! Auch das Dressing schmeckte nicht besonders außergewöhnlich. Das Ambiente war ok. Service ebenfalls.

The food was really good. But the service is subpar. You wait half an hour for drinks (with questions and the shop not being full). You feel overlooked and forgotten as the waitresses drink schnapps and smoke outside with other guests. When putting food on and taking it away, sauce and cutlery can fall onto the guest. But this is neither commented on nor apologized for. Maybe the employees should be more sober 😬

Nice spacious cheeky place with like...fusion..hipster food? Hard to categorize. It's got bits of everything, bowls with rice noodles and base, kimchi slaw, avocado whatever, steak on a plank, ponzu mayo and eggplant sushi. My friend enjoyed their Marrakesh bowl with fresh falafel and hummus. My mixed mince beef was not that great. The rice noodles they rest on were made by someone who doesn't know how rice noodles should be. The saur ponzu doesn't compliment to savory mince well. The nasu miso was bomb tho.

Der Eingangsbereich ist schon recht schrabbelig und wirkt ungepflegt. Essen und Service waren ok, bzw. freundlich. Die Musik war viel zu laut und aufdringlich (80er Jahre Dico-Pop), sodass eine Unterhaltung zu viert mühsam wurde.

Sehr nettes, lebendiges Restaurant, gute Speisen Auswahl mit viel Kreativität, gute Preise und netter Service, gerne wieder! 

Great place to eat! Staff is super friendly. The best service staff are Jazzy, Marina, Franzi, Domi and Minne! I always enjoy coming to Katopazzo!

The food and ambience are good. However, that's no use if the staff is as unfriendly as in Katopazzo. You wait forever for the overpriced food and for you to be able to place your order. Most of the time you can see the staff smoking, drinking alcohol or chatting among themselves. As a customer you are not taken into account at all and you do not feel noticed. The former employees Maya and Max were particularly rude and tried to rip you off when it came to tips. In the end I wouldn't recommend the Katopazzo and would rather prefer a place where you are respected.

I love Katopazzo, but I won't set foot in this restaurant again. I celebrated my 40th birthday there with many guests. I agreed with Mary on a price of €400 for food and drinks. We didn't receive any dessert, even though this was agreed upon, there wasn't enough food, supposedly a bowl would have cost €34 which only included 2 falafels and salad?! I can be kidding myself too. Service was really bad that day, we waited forever for everything. When billing, she simply added a €30 tip, which I only saw later when I got the bill. I was shown a different amount, but billed for something different. So for €400 it wasn't food or drink. Unfortunately you can't trust anyone these days and I'm a person who trusts, especially on my birthday I didn't think I would be ripped off. I had to post this here because I find it cheeky. There was no response to my email either. no accommodating.

Service leider total unterbesetzt und überfordert, essen mittelmäßig und den Nachtisch haben wir nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen und Vertrösten um über eine halbe Stunde dann sausen lassen, obwohl er bereits bezahlt war. Sehr schade, wir waren eigentlich immer große Fans des Restaurants

Personal war komplett überfordert, zwischen Vorspeise und Hauptgang vergingen 45 Minuten und auf die Rechnung haben wir 20 Minuten gewartet.

Das Essen war wie immer lecker und reichhaltig. Der Service war leider sehr langsam und teilweise etwas chaotisch (mag aber nicht an dem Willen der Bedienungen liegen, denn viel mehr dass einfach zu wenig Personal da war, 2 Leute und das Restaurant war voll). Daher diesmal etwas getrübt, aber in Summe immer noch lecker in gut.

Unfortunately not like it used to be! The ceviche only had 5 mini pieces of fish in it, which was very disappointing. Bowls are tasty, but in the past if you ordered extra chickpea tofu you got more and not just 5 small pieces. Service was extremely slow and there was only one lady for the entire place. 45 minutes passed between the first course and the main course. Unfortunately, it was also a bit cold in the restaurant. Unfortunately the place was much better 2 years ago. A pity

Alles war in Ordnung. Das Essen war gut. Ich habe nur ein wenig ausgefallenere Küche erwartet. Der Service war freundlich aber zwischenzeitlich sehr lange nicht auffindbar.

It was great a few years ago but apparently something has changed. Fries were very salty and the vegan curry was full of oil that I had to skim it off. Cevice and the other starter was good!

Die Musik war so gar nicht unser Geschmack und hätte besser in eine Kneipe gepasst. Service und Beratung waren super. Dressings sehr sauer, Zitrone. Es fehlt ein bisschen die Raffinesse. Die Speisen klingen auf der Karte viel besser als sie dann sind. Das Schokotörtchen als Dessert war allerdings mega lecker

Ich hatte eine Reservierung für den 01.01.2024 um 1830 für zwei Personen ausgemacht. Hab auch eine Reservierungsbestätigung, Kalendereintrag und alles was dazugehört per Mail bekommen. Leider war das Restaurant nicht geöffnet. Warum bestätigt ein Restaurant Reservierungen wenn es nicht geöffnet hat. Sehr ärgerlich wenn man sich deswegen auf den Weg gemacht hat.

Birthday dinner with a small group of friends and family. Food was good, just service was a bit difficult. No problem if people are new to the job, you just have to back them up and don’t leave them alone.

We were here the day before Christmas and it was pretty empty. I found the authentically friendly and attentive waitress particularly positive. The food was good (and plentiful), but could have used a bit more spice.

When we arrived to the restaurant, we heard that there was a private party and our reservation was not valid eventhoug I got a confirmation for the reservation. The waiter was only said sorry and did not seem to care about this unfortunate situation for us.

Super Essen, freundlicher Service, schönes Ambiente.

Keine Bedienung fühlte sich für uns verantwortlich. Die Sitzplätze ließen trotz Reservierung zu wünschen übrig, wir hatten gehofft, dass das Essen es rettet. Leider Fehlanzeige, 3 von 4 Gerichten hatten uns leider überhaupt nicht geschmeckt. Die trüffelpommes waren gut. Lange Wartezeiten bis zur Bestellung und Bezahlung.

Ehrlich gesagt dachte ich das man Essen warm bekommt. Leider waren bei der Marokko Bowl und Avocado Hündchen Bowl alles kalt. Auf Nachfrage meinte die Bedienung das es so gewollt ist. Finde es ausbaufähig. Leider wurde auch das ein oder andere vergessen. Aber dann wieder gut gemacht durch kostenlose Pommes❤️.

Katopazzo - wo die Drinks so lecker sind, dass selbst die Traumfänger neidisch werden! Tolle Bar mit einem ganz eigenen Flair, hat mir super gefallen!

Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, drinks sehr gut und vor allem der Barkeeper hat für super Stimmung gesorgt. Durch die orientalische deko mit den traumfängern fühlt man sich wie im Urlaub :)

In dieser einzigartigen Bar mit traumhafter orientalischer Ausstattung erlebte ich einen unvergesslichen Abend. Die atemberaubenden Traumfänger verleihen dem Ambiente eine magische Note. Die Drinks waren von höchster Qualität und der Barkeeper beeindruckte nicht nur mit seinen Mixkünsten, sondern auch mit seiner außerordentlichen Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit. Ein Ort, den man unbedingt besuchen sollte, um großartige Drinks in einem zauberhaften Ambiente zu genießen.

Es gab spontan einen Platz für eine große Gruppe an einem Samstagabend - das war großartig. Allerdings war der Service nicht gut und das Essen durchschnittlich. Wir mussten lange auf unsere Speisen warten und wurden auch zwischendrin nicht gefragt ob wir nochmal Getränke wollen.

Die gewählten Vorspeisen waren sehr lecker. Der Hauptgang war bei meiner wunderschönen Begleitung etwas zu scharf obwohl es nicht ausgeschildert war. Grundsätzlich würde ich immer wieder kommen!
