Herzog offers a fantastic cocktail experience! The atmosphere is the perfect mix of classy and cozy, allowing you to relax and enjoy great conversations with friends. The staff is welcoming and attentive, and the location has a hidden, exclusive feel that adds to the charm. We sampled the Gin Basil, Margarita, Whisky Sour, and the signature Overnight cocktail. For me, the Whisky Sour was the standout – one of the best I’ve ever tasted. They also mentioned there’s a DJ on weekends, which I’m excited to check out. This place will definitely be my go-to spot that I’ll visit again and again for a memorable night out!

A very nice and cozy atmosphere. We were there at the beginning of December and it was decorated for Christmas. 🌲✨ You feel comfortable here! At the entrance we were greeted very friendly and shown to the table, the service at the table was also very friendly and attentive. We found the food very tasty. The portions were a perfect size. We found the waiting times between courses pleasant. We recommend making a reservation as it gets very crowded here.

An excellent restaurant offering not only delicious food but also service that goes above and beyond expectations. The beef tartar is perfectly seasoned and a true delight, while the Caesar Salad is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A must-visit for a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!

We were there on New Year's Eve and paid €199 for a flying buffet that in fact hardly came by, so we left after midnight to have dinner somewhere else. The quality of the Flying Buffet was okay, at least from the 3 mini portions that I got. Unfortunately, the bar was completely overcrowded, especially after 11 p.m., when there was another large surge of people, which unfortunately didn't really do the ambience any good. Unfortunately, when we asked, there wasn't even a bar stool for us, but there was for other guests. After complaining, they brought us 2 cold stools from outside for a group of 6 people. The bar was friendly and helpful, but there were far too few people for so few waiters. I find it really disgraceful how people here are ripped off on New Year's Eve, it was definitely the last visit there for us.

We spent New Year's Eve at the Herzog and it was just perfect! The bar not only impressed with a great atmosphere, but also with attentive and polite staff. Attention was paid to every detail and we felt completely comfortable. An unforgettable evening, highly recommended.

Disappointing New Year's Eve party I was at the New Year's Eve party with friends and unfortunately I was very disappointed. We had bought tickets two weeks ago for €200, but the event was poorly organized. Despite the high price, there were no seats for us and it was almost impossible to stand properly. The food was extremely limited and you had to literally fight to get something. What was particularly annoying was that some guests were given preferential treatment and were given seats and better care. To make matters worse, the organizer allowed other guests to come to our place without considering the previous planning. Overall the party was a huge disappointment and definitely not worth the money. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this event.

First of all I want to say that I have never given any negative review to restaurants but this time I’m really shocked from the orribile experience at Herzog. I have been charged cleaning fee for being sick! Let me put some lights on the facts: Last Friday was supposed to be my very first night out with friends after 10 months of becoming a mother and I was really excited to book a table at Herzog which was suggested to me by a friend. Unfortunately, by the time we arrive and order food I just started to feel something uncomfortable in my stomach, so I only ordered a soup and bread for myself. I had nausea and felt dizzy, my friend helped me to lay on a couch with my legs up to prevent me to faint, she ordered a Coca-Cola for me and one guy from the bar or waiters was really nice, he broke me salt and water and checked upon us . I drank some coke and took some pinch of Sal hoping it would help me feeling better but once I set again I couldn’t hold myself and I started vomiting very badly on the floor (moquette), also part of the couch got dirty. I was really embarrassed and felt so sorry for that so I tried to clean up the mess myself with paper although the nice guy was keeping telling me to not do it because the restaurant has a person in charge for doing that and it will be cleaned. Anyway I cleaned up most of it but of course it wasn’t possible to clean perfectly vomit from the moquette. After feeling slightly better I went to bathroom to refresh myself, I just washed my mouth and went to toilet, no more vomiting there. I set at the table with my friends again but obviously I could not eat anything, I just tried some bread (btw some slices of normal white baguette instead of named sourdough bread was charged 7.5€) and a spoon of soup which made me feel even worse so finally I asked my friends to take care of the bill and I booked a taxi to go back home. The next day my friends told me that they were charged 50€ for cleaning service without even being informed!

We really enjoyed the visit itself, the lady who served us yesterday was very nice and helpful. But then we ordered cocktails from another waiter with tattoos. Unfortunately the order was recorded incorrectly. But he said “it can no longer be canceled”. The waiter quickly ran to the bar. We asked our waitress how it could be that the order couldn't be canceled. But she said it would work if you do it right away and don't pass the order straight on to the bar. But the waiter didn't give us any time to clarify the situation. Of course we paid for the wrong order. Unfortunately the cocktail situation gave us a weird vibe. As if the waiter (with tattoos) wasn't in the mood, along the lines of, you'll drink (and pay, of course) anyway. But thanks anyway to the nice waitress, she really made an effort

Right at the beginning...Never again Dukeable!!!! The food was good, although very overpriced. The cocktails are diluted with too many ice cubes and almost no alcohol. The waiter had to refill the Aperol to get any color and taste. You can only pay by card, but you don't get an invoice to understand what it cost almost €80 for 2 Aperol Spritz, 2 starter salads and 1 bottle of water. At the end it was claimed that we hadn't paid for a salad and the waiter became very aggressive. Systematic rip-off!!!!

The menu was super harmonious and delicious. We had a great time and especially the service was excellent.

We had reserved a place directly at the bar. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy it as planned because we were denied the reserved space even though we arrived only 10 minutes late. Instead, we were offered a seat in the far corner that neither met our reservation nor our expectations. When we asked, we were simply told that our reserved space had been allocated elsewhere. Very disappointing!

Food was quite OK; The service was nice but otherwise completely overwhelmed and slow. You get the feeling like you're not welcome. We sat there for 15 minutes without anyone bringing us the card or telling us that the cards were now digital. Ambiance is nice!

Reserved last Friday at 6pm for 4 people. Ordered drinks and then food. After the first drink order the food came, then no one else and at 8 p.m. the service person told us the time was up and other guests would be waiting. We forked out 250 euros for 4 meals and drinks plus an aperitif and were then escorted out around 8:30 p.m. If we had known this beforehand, we would never have gone there and it was not clear from the reservation that the seats had been booked on time. Others were not informed of this and did not have to leave. In addition, the food is very overpriced, and the Taylor and Adele menu is probably still in use. All in all very disappointing and a one off affair at this restaurant. In general: How long do the restaurateurs in Munich actually think, given these prices and this kind of handling, regular guests will continue to come? It was back in the DM era and at some point in the evening everything was empty. it will be like that again. Most certainly.

There were four of us there today to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We were very surprised by the friendliness, the great service and of course the great food. The Wiener Schnitzel with burrata is really good. A great evening and we will be happy to come back.

Although the food was relatively good, even if very overpriced, we were very, very disappointed with the service. We ordered a starter for two and a main course each. Everything arrived at the same time, with the statement "we should have said it explicitly if we had wanted them as a starter before the main course". I have never experienced anything like it. And especially at such a renowned restaurant in the heart of Munich. Then I ask myself, if I had ordered dessert, would it have been served at the same time?! Unfortunately, the toast for the starter was also cold because we decided to eat the steak first. I wonder, how does the staff imagine that we should have eaten everything at the same time?? Despite complaints, there was no offer from the staff to resolve this misunderstanding. We were very dissatisfied and will not visit the restaurant again.

The whole menu doesn't make any sense, nothing to share and just very wierd combinations of flavours. Prices are sky high but taste is mediocre. Used to be one of my favourite places to go to, very sad.

We had a wonderful evening on the Duke's terrace. The food was good and the Aperol tree is a highlight! A DJ played chilled house music mixed with soulful grooves. It was a cozy summer evening...

The most disappointing restaurant visit I have ever experienced. We had been in contact with the operators by email a few weeks earlier in order to reserve a table and to inform about allergens ahead of time, as the chef, Alexander Högner, was supposed to prepare a special surprise menu. Unfortunately, this surprise also included the fact that the restaurant was unable to locate our reservation, which had been discussed in detail for weeks, when we arrived. So as a group we were literally crammed into the last corner at a table that was much too small - annoying, but okay. As part of this organizational chaos, it became clear for the first time that “flexibility” and “customer friendliness” were apparently foreign words in the vocabulary of every single service member of the “Duke”. The food was served without comment (or the plates were thrown in front of you) and you could only guess what the dish that was served might be. However, this would not have been entirely uninteresting, and so the only way to find out was by asking the exasperated service staff several times, some of whom began to discuss loudly and aggressively whether the guest in question was really allergic to certain ingredients or not (I have experienced such behavior in one Restaurant never experienced), an allergic incident can be prevented. If the customer is supposed to be king in “Herzog”, you wouldn’t even want to imagine how you would have been treated as a simple citizen. The food itself could only be described as unimaginative. If the meal served to us was actually a meal prepared or created by Mr. Högner, one must have serious concerns about the health of the chef. In some cases the courses were served at such different times that half of the table only had cold food in front of them. We were now at the main course; none of us had seen a wine list up to this point. When the wine was finally served, we had to refill ourselves. The steak served as the main course was served, without any questions about the degree of doneness, partly rare, partly completely "well done" (although the description "Congratulations" would probably be more accurate for this) - another surprise in our surprise menu. The vegetarian alternative was the worst and most boring pasta dish I had ever eaten. As a dessert, coffee was sometimes simply served as a nut-free alternative to hazelnut dumplings. I think this needs no further classification and fit seamlessly into the overall picture of the rest of the evening. In conclusion, our evening at the “Herzog” was a complete disaster. The only thing one can wish for this “restaurant”, whose prices can be assigned to a more upscale category, is that it will soon be closed due to insolvency or as ordered by the health department. Addendum: Two days later they tried to contact us by phone and asked us to please delete the corresponding Google review in return for a free bottle of champagne. Simply pathetic with a bill of almost a thousand euros.

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to! We felt so safe and welcome. The team was very attentive and gave us a warm welcome. The spraying tree is highly recommended; you could even choose the types of spraying. And the excellent food rounded off the whole evening perfectly.

The staff was extremely attentive, friendly and professional. We were warmly greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant and felt well looked after throughout our entire stay. The dining experience at Herzog was simply fantastic. The menu offers an excellent selection of dishes that are both creative and tasty. I was particularly impressed by the quality and attention to detail with which each dish was prepared. My personal favorite was the sweet and sour pickled yellowfin mackerel. Overall, my visit to the Herzog Restaurant was a completely successful experience. I can recommend this restaurant to everyone! I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Disaster - actually 0 stars Our reservation for 12 people was not known to the service despite confirmation and multiple correspondence. The service was unfriendly, or rather there was none. Drinks were placed on the table and you had to refill yourself. The individual courses of the menu were served without comment, so that one could only guess what it was supposed to be (that was supposed to be pulpo?) Banal pasta with tomato sauce as a vegetarian main course says everything about the creative demands of the kitchen, simply terrible, unimaginative and bad. After the chaotic evening, you could practically read the employee's thoughts at the cash register on his face: "We won't see them again anyway, but the main thing is that my cash register is right." Therefore our tip: If you want to have a nice evening, don't go to the Herzog - don't fall for this unfriendly rip-off and look for another restaurant, there are plenty of alternatives in Munich

Failing on every level. Detailed planned reservation wasn't even in the system; Unfriendly and unaccommodating service; The list of our allergies apparently fell into the starters because something had to be sent back for every course and the food could just about pass for middle class; We weren't asked how we wanted the steak, so we were randomly served rare to ultra well done; From 10 p.m. onwards, the loudspeaker above the table was turned up to such an extent that it was hardly possible to have a conversation with the neighbor, even though we were packed like sardines at this table. For the money you can get something better in every respect in the area.

We reserved a table and they forgot about it. 2 weeks before we informed them about allergies and they kept bringing food that some of us could not eat, for one of us the solution was to get a coffee as a dessert, which is absolutely ridiculous since this is not a cheap restaurant. The waiters were rude to us and only after they realized we were very unhappy, they started treating us better. One of the worst dining experiences I ever had in my life.
