Nothing works on the weekend without a reservation, the service is nice and friendly, the food is really good, it was my first time there and I was thrilled with the food

Good, but not as expected. The reviews promise a taste and quality that KASHMIR unfortunately couldn't live up to, at least when I visited a few days ago. The standard dish of butter chicken "medium hot" had not a hint of heat or other spices. Compared to other Indian places, the sauce was sweet, but apart from that, not much happened on the tongue. To put it a little harshly, even the masala butter naan had more spice. The "extra hot" dishes ordered by friends were also hot, but on a level between medium hot and hot. The service was nice, but could have been a little more attentive - but since the restaurant was full to the brim, that's forgiven.

The restaurant was busy on Friday evenings. We still got a table without a reservation - thank you very much! The food was delicious. Lots of vegan dishes to choose from. Can recommend the restaurant without reservation.

The worst indian food I have ever had, the Tikka masala was tasting like the tomato ketchup, only one thing was good was the naan nothing else, I asked the waiter for Thali, he is like forget about it look for something thing else, who talks to a customer like this. The restaurant is a bit out of the way, but it is a real gem. The food is tasty, the staff is nice and the prices are ok. So we not only ate there, but also ordered. We would be happy to come back and recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good Indian meal.

We often eat there (Kashmir Echterdingen) and sometimes we pick up the food… either way it works great! Service is quick, pleasant and nice. Reservations (or orders) via the homepage go smoothly. Lots of vegetarian and vegan choices that taste delicious! Pleasant atmosphere, clean toilets. Parking in the restaurant parking lot is not always easy as parking options are somewhat limited. I order vegan and “not spicy” or “bit spicy” and my friend very often orders lamb in “inda/original spicy” version…everything we ate there was very tasty! :)

The food is awesome. Service is also good, a bit too fast for my taste.. Ambience, it's not cozy, it's more like a hatch. But the great food outweighs it. Next time we'll take it with us and eat comfortably at home 😊

Very good food, somewhat European-style. The portions are very large but taking away is not a problem. You can eat it twice. Very nice courteous service. The restaurant itself was extremely full. So not particularly comfortable to sit on. We were there on a Saturday evening and wouldn't come back on the weekend because it was too crowded and too loud. But preferably during the week. Otherwise it was delicious.

Great family business. Very tasty food and nice, courteous service. Although the restaurant was completely booked and at 6 p.m. everyone seemed to arrive at the same time, we didn't have to wait long for our drinks and food. We enjoyed everything very much, but the garlic naan bread was simply a dream. Great price-performance ratio! If we are near the trade fair in Stuttgart again, we will definitely come back ☺️

It wasn't bad, the Shahi Paneer just didn't blow me away. Butter chicken and naan were good. Cocktails weren't really our thing, but considering it's a restaurant and not a bar it's okay. Service was nice and everything went very quickly. The price is around 30 euros per person.

Very nice and great restaurant, it was fully booked and the winter garden was fully booked. That speaks for itself in terms of quality and service. There are a lot of people working in Sonja's restaurant and service is quick. The dishes are all HALLAL and everything is very, very tasty. Very highly recommended, I can only recommend it.

We had dinner in Kashmir with 3 people. At first glance the atmosphere was quite nice but also a bit dingy. The employees were quick but very listless. The food was tasty but the presentation was a little nicer here too. At the Indian restaurant in Kirchheim, for example, the dishes are served on a warmer with a candle in a beautiful metal vessel.

Food was delicious. Service was quite slow. We waited almost 20 minutes for the menu and another 10 minutes for the drinks. Very tasty food in itself. But you shouldn't go there if you're too hungry, as it can sometimes take 50 minutes before you get something served

Schon auf dem Parkplatz riecht man die Gewürze aus der Küche und man bekommt schon richtig Lust auf die indische Küche. Das Essen war hervorragend. Wir hatten ein Menü - für uns etwas zu viel. Auch die neugierigen Fragen meines Partners wurden mit Freude von den sehr netten Herren im Service beantwortet. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden und können das Kaschmir wärmstens weiter empfehlen.

Place in the industrial area in Echterdingen is not so idyllic. Locally but very nicely furnished in a typical way. Food very good and seasoned hot or less spicy as desired. Staff very attentive.

We have been regular customers in Kashmir for over 10 years and are always satisfied. The quality was always the same throughout the entire time; you hardly experience something like that in any other restaurant. There are always enough waiters and food and drinks are served quickly. At times individual components were forgotten when picking up, but the controls have improved greatly and you often get a dessert for free. Therefore no points deduction.

Not very appealing from the outside at first glance but a real tip if you like Indian cuisine. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are clearly marked. The food was quickly prepared and brought to the table by the friendly waiters. It was very tasty! I'm looking forward to the next visit!

Once again a restaurant that you don't have to experience. People, the reviews here don't match what we experienced! Update: The above review is 6 years old. Now the restaurant is trying to have these deleted to appear better than they are. Critical customer opinions are part of the process and should help us improve. Think about it.

Insanely full (in pandemic times), very loud and manageable portions at high prices. But the food quality is very good. Nevertheless, I don't have to go there anymore. Addition: Last time I didn't get the dish I ordered. When I complained, my plate was taken away - and served to me again immediately afterwards. Before I starve, I just took it. There was no apology. Edit #2. Kashmir is now trying to take action against my review, claiming that I "defamed" them. By the way, I have 8 witnesses who can confirm my description. Now I will definitely never visit it again and will also advise all my friends against it. Such behavior is dubious.

In my opinion the best Indian restaurant in Stuttgart. All the dishes I've tried so far (I've been going there for 8 years - so I've tried a lot) are very tasty. The level of spiciness can be selected when ordering. For chili fans there is the “Indian hot” level of spiciness, which usually lives up to its name. 🌶️ A great restaurant and friendly family business.

We love this place! It is our favorite Indian food restaurant in Stuttgart. If you like spicy, ask for the vindaloo, Indian spicy. You won't be disappointed. Everything we have tried here has been fantastic. The servers are mostly friendly and very helpful. They have some delicious and unique cocktails as well. If you've never tried Indian food, this is the place to try it for the first time. If you didn't like it here, you just don't like Indian food. Guten Appetit!

We have often ordered something to pick up. It's been pretty tasty so far too. However, I don't understand why you have to pay the expensive prices when you pick it up? Additionally, I was very disappointed with my salad the other day. Potatoes dry, lettuce leaves with brown edges and overall very stale taste. I think it's a bit cheeky to charge almost €9 for this.

Unique experience of Indian cuisine. The tandoori garlic chicken was fantastic and so was the curry. You don't need to add anything to naan bread. Really surprisingly pleasantly surprised and Stuttgart's No1 in Indian food. Super nice service and son of the owner. We'll be back!

After the BBQ World Cup in Stuttgart, we spontaneously stopped for dinner on the way to the hotel. After our vacation to India at the beginning of the year, it was a good opportunity to get that vacation feeling back. We chose a menu and were not disappointed. The butter chicken in particular was incredibly delicious. Together with the vegetable rice that would have been enough. In the end we had the leftovers packed up and had another meal with us for the next day. The boss also took the time to chat about his home country... We felt comfortable, ate very well and can highly recommend Kashmir

Very good Indian restaurant. Super fast and friendly service. Ordered a menu for two people. The food was really plentiful and always came warm or hot. Non-alcoholic cocktails were very good, not too sweet. All around a successful evening. Can definitely recommend the restaurant.

Great employees, They took our order shortly before the store closed and waited for us in their free time (May 23rd) until we picked it up. Always friendly contact must also be mentioned.

Felt authentic. There's a big bowl of rice for both of them and delicious Indian dishes separately. And Mango Lassi is highly recommended, I didn't even know that - it's very sweet.

I ordered 1 Naan but they brought 2 Naan. Ordered chicken tikka and I clearly mentioned the waiter to get the chicken tikka from Vorspeise (starters menu) but they served chicken tikka from the the main dish menu which was almost 11 Euros more than what I ordered. Good that I checked the bill bcoz they had charged for 2 Naans even after cancelling 1 Naan. The person who took the order didn’t even note down what I ordered. My suggestion would be that the waiters should be attentive and note it down when customers order. Otherwise good ambience and tasty food.

It was my first time eating Indian food and I have to say that I was very biased towards the food. But from the moment I had the food in front of me (butter chicken), everything biased went away. I was more than thrilled, the food was so flavorful and so delicious with the bread that was spread with garlic oil 🤤🤤🤤🤤. The only small disadvantage is that it was very expensive for two adults. But on the whole I can only recommend it, go in, let everything take effect and enjoy it.

Had a birthday party today and received great service! The restaurant has a nice Indian flair. I particularly liked the outdoor area with a retractable roof so that the sky is free-standing. The staff was very, very nice and above all very accommodating. The staff even responded to a birthday surprise and brought out and played a music wish/balloons/cake. Price performance is more than class, affordable prices and FANTASTIC food!

We were here for dinner on Sunday evening. We liked the service. The prices for drinks are okay, unfortunately you could hardly taste the rum in the cocktail we ordered. The starters were okay, but the fried portions were unfortunately very greasy. The main courses are also okay, quite large portions, but you couldn't taste the spiciness that was ordered, the vegetables in the main courses consisted almost exclusively of inexpensive white cabbage. The highlight of the meal was actually the homemade naan bread, fluffy, buttery and a really large portion. All in all, recommended, but in my opinion not a highlight of Indian cuisine.

We like to go here on special occasions, but it's too expensive for a weekly or even daily visit (€19 for a vegan main course) Positive: - Food cooked with fresh spices, fresh ingredients and a spiciness that is pleasant for Europeans - You can tell the authenticity of the food because many obvious Indians eat there (they also eat with their hands.) - Very high staffing ratio, there are a lot of young, only male waitresses, perhaps too many. Although the restaurant is very large and always full, the service staff sometimes stand together in the doorway chatting because they obviously have nothing to do - The interior design is very nice and tasteful, not kitschy: red, pink and colorful, but not overloaded - The covered winter garden is also beautifully designed and romantic - There are some very original vegan dishes, the new soy dish is also great! - The menu is beautifully designed, clearly written and easy to read - The bread is oven-fresh and hand-baked and really exceptionally good! Negative: - Although there are some vegan main courses, there is not a single vegan dessert! That's a shame. - Unfortunately, sometimes the orders are incorrect or we were misunderstood by the service staff: for example, we ordered a large water (for just one person of the two of us) but received a whole bottle with two glasses. Or the different spiciness ordered for our two dishes was swapped. It's not bad, but noticeable. - The disabled toilet is defective and therefore obsolete or useless. Please repair! - As beautifully designed as the guest room is, the toilets are barren and desolate. You really want to get out of there quickly! No colors, no nice scent, no flowers — nothing. In addition, the men's hand dryer was broken and the women's trash can was in front of the door. In addition, the doors are very difficult to open.

Auf Empfehlung von Freunden habe ich das Restaurant letzte Woche besucht und bin echt begeistert. Ich habe das erste mal indisch gegessen und fand es echt genial. Sowohl der Kellner als auch meine Freunde empfielten mir das Butter Chicken. Das indische Nan mit Knoblauch war zudem noch der Oberhammer. Gerne wieder!

Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience at the Kashmir Indian Restaurant: - Allergy problem: The kitchen brought the same dish twice with an ingredient that I am allergic to. - Unprofessional service: The waiter tried to defend the chef and said that it's better not to come eat on Sunday because the chef is more focused during the week, less stressed and the restaurant is less busy. Where are we? This is completely unacceptable and no restaurant should make such excuses.

Very, very tasty food. We've eaten there several times now and every time we enjoy it, it's really delicious. The staff is friendly. The food came promptly. At lunchtime there was little going on and therefore quieter. There is always a lot going on in the evening on Saturdays (you should definitely make a reservation) and the noise level is correspondingly higher. Indian music plays in the background. There is a lot to choose from on the menu, and the waiter always asks if you want your dish spicy. We would come more often if it wasn't so far away from us. In any case, the traditional bread Naan is highly recommended.

Very average indian food, taste and quality wise for the price. The service was also average and staff borderline rude. Decor and ambience are nice. We ordered seekh kabab, which was undercooked and chicken kaali mirch which was not very tasty. Portion sizes were small, and the food had a lot of artificial food coloring. Give this a miss and try out other indian places in the city.
