Only frozen products, even the pancakes aren't homemade, nobody here has yet dealt with the topic of "good cooking." Absolutely terrible.

We highly recommend the pancake house. Even with the small menu, it was difficult to choose. So, be sure to come back and tuck into the menu.

We were here for lunch because whenever we're by the sea, a visit to a pancake restaurant is always a must 😁. It was incredibly delicious and filling. Unfortunately, card payments aren't accepted. Everyone should check beforehand that they have cash.

We were absolutely thrilled! The food was not only delicious, but truly hearty and made with love. We were particularly impressed by the selection of potato dishes – just what we needed after a day at the seaside. The service was super friendly, attentive, and warm. You immediately feel welcome. The decor is also cozy, with lovely details – you can tell that the place is made with love. For dessert, we had a huge pancake with Kinder chocolate – a dream for any sweet tooth 🍫🥞 At the end, we had a nice chat with Karsta herself – and even showed her the "Pokéstop" right behind the shop, which she hadn't even heard of 😄 A real insider tip in Hooksiel – we'd love to come back!

This restaurant is a hit with families. The pancakes are delicious, and the hash brown pizzas were a fantastic surprise. Super kid-friendly, relaxed atmosphere, and great service.

Very friendly. We didn't have a reservation, and there were no seats available, so we took the food to go. The food is super delicious. Three different dishes: pancakes, a casserole, and potato pancakes. All three were very filling and a flavor explosion. And all at a reasonable price.

We were there on a beautiful day. The service was great, always ready with a friendly remark, very open and welcoming. The food was delicious, and the price-performance ratio was absolutely right. She even charmed the hearts of the little guests and made our daughter happy with a lovely napkin. We're always amazed at how dog-friendly the restaurants here are, including this one. We'll be happy to come back on our next visit!

While strolling through Hooksiel's pedestrian zone, we noticed Karsta's Kartoffel- und Pfannkuchenhaus (Potato and Pancake House) and immediately fell in love with the original restaurant concept. So we stopped there right at the beginning of our vacation. The fact that we had visited four times by the end of our two-week stay probably says it all. There's nothing to complain about. The food was truly delicious and always served hot. We were always greeted warmly, and the service was excellent. Overall, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and has its own unique charm. We definitely plan to vacation in Hooksiel again and will definitely stop by Karsta's again!

Good value for money. Unfortunately, they don't serve hot meals all day, but only from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and then again from 6:00 PM. You can't pay by card!

On my third vacation, I managed to stop here. Since I love potato pancakes, it was a must for me. Unfortunately, I didn't get a seat on my first two attempts because the interior isn't very spacious, and I didn't want to make a reservation in advance as a single person. This time, I was lucky that the weather was good, so the outdoor terrace was open. And I wasn't disappointed: the potato pancake (a potato pancake pizza with salami and cheese) was delicious, and the service, including the manager, who asked how we were satisfied, was very friendly and professional. Overall, a lovely evening with great food and, in my opinion, reasonable prices. I'd be happy to come back next time I'm vacationing in this area.

A lovely, cozy pancake house with an outdoor terrace and a cozy interior. We've tried various pancakes, and the potato pancake pizza is also highly recommended. The casseroles are large and delicious. You can get them with pasta or potatoes. All portions are available as senior citizen plates and also for takeout. I look forward to returning and eating here every year. The boss still cooks here herself...

We have been to Karsta many times and come back every time we are in Hooksiel. The food is simple but very, very tasty, the prices are absolutely fair and Karsta is always friendly and nice. Excellent, very tasty dishes, especially the fried potatoes, potato soup with salmon, pancakes at reasonable prices. We have eaten here many times and always come back. Very friendly boss and waitresses. We feel very comfortable here.

I can generally recommend the restaurant. Delicious dishes that stand out from the usual. The only drawback is that you go to the restaurant with the thought that EC payments are possible everywhere these days, in addition to a time when hardly any ATM has cash because the cash-in-transit drivers are on strike, you go to the restaurant, order and panic when you find out that only cash payment is possible. I would like it to be posted at least large and wide or mentioned during the first order. Because today a lot of things are done exclusively via EC, and since Corona at the latest it has been assumed that maybe not the kiosk around the corner, but a restaurant in a tourist region that offers EC payment.

We only “discovered” this restaurant in the second half of our vacation. How could we walk past it??? We went there for dinner three times. There were pancakes, casseroles, baked potatoes and potato pancakes. Everything was delicious, everything was freshly prepared and served in a very friendly manner. Thank you. We will definitely come back and even take a detour to do so.

The food tasted good, I would love to come back again. Were there again today, the farmer's pancake was good and my wife wanted one with ham, but unfortunately there was no ham, so she took one with salami.

We visit Karsta at least once every year on vacation. The food is always delicious. Our favorites are the pancake with apple sauce, the spicy garlic chicken with tagliatelle and the pancake with blueberries. Unfortunately, our last visit had a slight aftertaste. We are in Hooksiel with two families who are friends of ours and wanted to have dinner together at Karsta at the end. Our friend tried to reserve a table for us (15 people) for lunch. She was told there was no room for it. The other two families then decided on a different alternative. Since our children really wanted to go to Karsta, my husband reserved a table for the 4 of us. That went without any problems. During our stay we were amazed at the many free tables. There would definitely have been room for our friends too. We can understand that not so many tables can be moved. But we didn't ask for a long table and there would definitely have been a solution. Very unfortunate.

First things first: The food is amazing! I tried 3 dishes myself and they were really delicious. The service is also great...We were welcomed and served very nicely. You can argue about taste when it comes to the ambience, but we felt very comfortable there. Clear recommendation and definitely worth a visit!!!! Very tasty and inexpensive food. The ambience and the furnishings are debatable, but they are definitely lovingly furnished. The photo of the pancake speaks for itself, the light house beer and the baked potato with the heavenly delicious dip are also recommended. However, vampires are not advised to do so ;) We would be happy to come back.

The restaurant is always very busy in the evenings and reservations are probably useful. We were there at lunchtime and it was pretty empty. Dogs are allowed into the restaurant. The pancakes are huge and the potato pancake pizza was really good too! The restaurant is definitely very loved. We really liked it!

Unfortunately closed in winter. It would have been nice if there had been a note about it on Google.

Das ist dort ist ein Witz. Die Reibekuchen kommen scheinbar aus dem Gefrierschrank und sind auch keinen Fall selbst gemacht. Die Kartoffelpizzas sind für die Preise viel zu klein und auch etwas seltsam in den Zusammenstellungen. Das Ambiente wirkt in die Jahre gekommen und alt. Uns ist nicht klar wo die ganzen guten Bewertung herkommen.

Dieses Restaurant mit Kartoffelgerichten steht im Preis/Leistungsverhältnis auf meiner Liste ganz oben. Super leckere Gerichte ,serviert von der liebenswerten Chefin selber. Mit Aussenterrasse direkt in der Fußgängerzone von Hooksiel gelegen.

Wir waren zum Abendessen dort. Die Portionen sind sehr überschaubar, die Preise dafür recht hoch. Die Reibekuchen sind auf keinen Fall frisch und selbstgemacht, sie schmeckten wie aus der Mictowelle. Um hier satt zu werden, muss man schon wenigstes eine Vorspeise oder einen Nachtisch zum Hauptgericht bestellen. Geschmacklich eher durchschnittlich und auf keinem Fall so, dass man unbedingt nochmal hin will. Außerdem ist es für ein Restaurant in einem Feriengebiet sehr seltsam, dass man nicht mit EC oder Kreditkarte bezahlen kann, das ist heute doch schon überall bei jedem Bäcker möglich! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Wat een aangename verassing. Pannenkoeken als lunch. Heerlijk en men serveert ook melk bij de lunch. Vriendelijke bediening. Wel even opletten om 14.00 uur sluit de keuken om weer om 18.00 uur op te gaan.
