We ate here with another family. A total of seven children, all with different needs, including one with gluten intolerance. They were able to accommodate this, and the children's schnitzel was prepared gluten-free. We all had different meals, and the food was consistently delicious. The service and ambiance were top-notch. We would recommend it anytime. 👌👌👌

We ate at Käppen Plambeck three times during our vacation and were delighted every time. I'd especially like to point out that my girlfriend has celiac disease, yet she was able to enjoy something different and completely gluten-free each time. This isn't something to be taken for granted, and we were very pleased. Everything tasted excellent, fresh, and lovingly prepared. The service was also extremely friendly and attentive, making us feel completely at home. A highly recommended restaurant.

We went here because of the gluten-free food. We received a friendly welcome and were allowed to choose a table. Then I mentioned my son's celiac disease and was told, "No problem at all, we can prepare everything gluten-free." 🫶 My son enjoyed the breaded kids' schnitzel with fries, and for dessert, there were two scoops of strawberry ice cream. I had the delicious salmon burger. At the end, the little one even got to choose a little something from the treasure chest. Really nice ☺️

Today we had one of the best schnitzels ever (Schnitzel Chef). We're always surprised why there are so few customers there; the food and service are top-notch.

Overall, a decent restaurant. The service was quite good, and the atmosphere was okay. The food was quite good, but unfortunately, the schnitzel was frozen, and we thought the burger was also frozen. The drinks are quite expensive.

Schnitzel from the deep fryer. Only one egg on top, which barely covered half of the schnitzel, and that was overcooked, too. The fried potatoes were okay, but the main course and the salad were a joke – you can get that quality at any cheap diner for half the price.

We were at Käppen Plambeck today and had a delicious meal! The friendly staff was able to advise us on the gluten-free dishes, and there was a huge selection on the menu for those who prefer gluten-free food. We'll be back. Best wishes.

Always happy to visit/eat here. Even as a small child (45 years ago), we ate here, and I was even allowed to peek into the kitchen. Very friendly staff and delicious food.

On June 11th 2025 at around 12:30pm we asked if we could have a table for 7 people and if so where we could sit. The staff were really unfriendly because 2 of our friends had already studied the menu in the box outside. We also had 2 small children with us. The staff's answer was that once we had made our decision he would show us the tables and then he left with the words "I don't have time now". We had already made our decision a long time ago. We then changed our minds and left. It's really bad when the staff are completely overwhelmed or simply don't feel like doing their job even though there were no other guests. It's a shame for this restaurant that it has to tolerate staff like that. It was always worth a visit every year (25).

Such an unfriendly waiter! First, we were ignored, then given a stupid side-eye, and then, after asking twice for a seat, we were yelled at again! Not child-friendly at all...

Unfortunately... Käppen Plambeck used to be a true original – a proper fish restaurant – just as befits a fishing village like Heiligenhafen. Unfortunately, the menu has changed significantly. There are still fish dishes. But ultimately, this restaurant is now like many others: a random menu, looking like any other random restaurant. The interior is still the same – so the "chic" menu clashes with the dated decor. Plus, this artificial use of first names with all guests – it just doesn't fit – and seems fake. The food – the plaice – was okay, the potatoes so-so. We live near Heiligenhafen and have eaten there often – just that: eaten. Today, for the last time. I can find a menu like this anywhere; you don't have to go to Heiligenhafen for it. Too bad...we'll go somewhere else next time.

We arrived in Heiligenhafen today. Dinner at Käppen Plambeck. We received a warm welcome (without a reservation). The main course was Heiligenhafener Pannfisch (pan-fried fish) and a platter of fried potatoes. For dessert, we had red fruit compote with vanilla sauce and apple strudel with vanilla sauce and cream. The food and service were excellent. The evening was definitely worth the money.

Nice restaurant, in a maritime style, right on the harbor. Staff friendly and accommodating. The food is fresh and very tasty. Particularly recommended: roast beef, fried herring or sour meat.

Wir waren vor einigen Jahren mal dort, damals war es noch gut. Diesmal leider nicht. Schnitzel TK Ware und trocken gebraten, damit es nicht so auffällt Spiegelei drauf. Mein Fischteller auch eher trocken gebraten. Nie wieder.

So the mood of the staff probably depends on the day, sometimes you come there and are showered with friendliness and sometimes you feel like you're not wanted, which is a shame because the food is really great, but if you don't feel welcome, even the best food is of no use to you. Vi har besøgt denne restaurant jævnligt igennem de sidste par år både sommer og vinter. Vi sætter pris på maden, der er solid og ikke giver sig ud for mere end hvad den er - velsmagende og rigelig. Denne gang var vi samme med familie, 2 voksne der lige som vi satte pris på maden. Servicen er i top og der er god opmærksomhed fra Tjenerne. Lokalerene er ligesom toilettet rene og pæne, indretningen med brunt i brunt en smule kedelige. Men bestemt et sted vi vil komme næste gang vi er i Heiligenhafen

👍 Everything was great. Even as a local, I always enjoy coming here. Just nine of us were there last night. Despite very good workload, everything was perfect! Food came at the same time and was of a high standard. But special praise goes to the service: after a long season, still quick, attentive and always friendly on their feet. We went to the New Year's Eve buffet. What was on offer here was great. Starter soup, salads, cold fish platters, warm fish, game meat, poultry, pork, side dishes, antipasti, cheese and sausage platters and dessert. Unfortunately you couldn't try everything, but what we tried was super tasty. Kudos to the kitchen and also to the very friendly staff. We will recommend them. Very nice, comfortably furnished restaurant. The service was friendly, competent and also available for a little snack. For starters there was a fish soup that lived up to its name and an onion soup with cheese croutons... Although the typical cheese topping was missing. However, the soup itself was very tasty and not quite as powerful due to the lack of cheese, which was a good thing considering the very generous main courses. Because the bacon plaice and the captain's plate tasted great and were really something for people who like large portions. So it was just right for us... Nothing was missing. Was really good! Top price-performance ratio.

I booked the "cuddle weekend" at Käpt'nPlambeck and was completely thrilled. The one-room apartment was very nicely furnished. Everything was clean and we were given a nice welcome with a welcome gift. The gourmet meal in the restaurant included in the offer was excellent. I can only warmly recommend the overnight stay and the food! I'll definitely be back!!!

Absolutely worth it! Sometimes you have to wait a bit, but it's definitely worth it. Because all dishes are freshly prepared, you immediately notice the quality and care that goes into every meal. So the wait is more than worth it! If you value fresh, delicious cuisine, you should definitely stop by here. Highly recommended!

We actually wanted to go to another restaurant, but couldn't get a seat there. In hindsight I have to say, man good. Great service, great food, portions to fill you up and all at fair prices. We had to wait longer for the food, about 45 minutes after ordering, but the quality was everything. We'll definitely be back.

Very unfriendly service outside! Requests for a change (fries instead of fried potatoes) were met with extreme annoyance, the food was slammed onto the table without comment and there was no question as to whether it tasted good.

We have actually always been very happy with this restaurant. The food is still delicious, but this year we were more than disappointed with the service outside. A very unfriendly service, who reacted angrily to requests for changes when ordering the food, did not ask about satisfaction or 'thundered' the food onto the table almost wordlessly, unfortunately does not help us to continue to visit this restaurant regularly.

Wir wären nicht in das Restaurant gegangen, wenn wir uns auf die Webseite und die Internetangaben verlassen hätten. Da ist noch Handlungsbedarf. ABER: Wir sind auf Empfehlung und mit einer Reservierung (dringend notwendig) am Samstag Abend zum 2 Gänge Menü dort gewesen. Die Service-Mitarbeiterin war flott und auf Zack. Großes Lob an das Team. Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht und trotzdem wurde jeder Gast beachtet. Die Speisen waren köstlich und kamen ansprechend an den Tisch. Die Portionen waren einen langen Tag an der See entsprechend und wir sind gut gesättigt aufgestanden. Die Location ist schön und modern eingerichtet. Tipp: zeigt das tolle Restaurant und das Team doch auch im Netz.

Ambience nice. Eating well. Had fried fish with potato salad. Fried fish with beer batter was wobbly and not served immediately after preparation. Potato salad with mayo was very dry. There was probably nothing to it except mayo. Service was friendly.

Service was a bit slow, but the place was packed and the one poor lady serving the tables did work pretty hard, and she did so with a smile. The food was ok, some in our group liked it more than others, but nobody was disappointed. It could be a bit more comfortable, a bit more charming. All a bit 1980s/90s.
