Everything was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the appetizer platter for two, but everything else was also very tasty and plentiful. Highly recommended.

It was fine for us. Everything was a bit cramped in the beer garden. The food didn't blow us away. I could see that a catering meal was transported in a Sprinter van, and the food wasn't covered. It was OK, but unfortunately, nothing more.

We chose this restaurant based on the good reviews. Since we were a larger group (nine people), I called ahead to reserve appropriate seating. A question about children came up on the phone (the comment was, "Well, they can eat alone, right?"), but it wasn't a problem. When we arrived at the agreed time, we apparently hadn't made a reservation. She also couldn't remember our phone call two hours earlier (with the manager himself). After much back and forth, we finally appeared in the book and got a table. When two glasses tipped over, the waiter came over to us, very annoyed, and we got the impression that children (4 and 8 years old) weren't actually welcome there. It's a shame. They could have been honest about that and canceled our reservation right away, especially since the manager had asked about children. Otherwise, the food was okay.

This restaurant is very busy on Saturday nights. It's almost impossible to find a seat. Some guests are turned away due to lack of space. The staff is really very friendly, dedicated, and very quick. Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time for our food. This is understandable and understandable given the high volume of service. Unfortunately, the spaghetti carbonara was inedible. The sauce was burnt. However, we were able to return the dish without any problems. The rest of the dishes were good.

I had tagliatelle with beef in Gorgonzola. The meat was tough and the sauce thick and tasted of nothing but Gorgonzola. The red wine wasn't good either. We won't go there again :(.

Authentic Italian food with a great atmosphere We spent a very pleasant evening at Ristorante Al Mare in Heiligenhafen. The food was consistently delicious, and the pizzas are especially recommended – crispy, aromatic, and authentically prepared, just as you would expect from a good Italian restaurant! The cozy atmosphere in the evening and the beautiful location also contributed to the positive experience. Due to its popularity, the restaurant is well-frequented – reservations are definitely recommended. One small drawback was the noticeable lack of staff in the service area. When the restaurant was full, there were unfortunately longer waits between courses and drinks. The team was friendly, but at times they just couldn't keep up. The pasta dishes were tasty, but the portions were a bit small – the value for money could be improved to ensure you're truly full. Overall, however, a highly recommended restaurant for anyone who wants to enjoy good Italian food in a relaxed atmosphere. We'd be happy to come back!

Once and never again! I was there yesterday. As a welcome, we were immediately told, "The food won't arrive in 5 minutes." Then we were seated and could order. Drinks, appetizers, and main course. The drinks finally arrived after about 15 minutes. However, it wasn't Aqua Panna water as stated on the menu, but a different one. My Coke was warm and without ice! We waited about 50 minutes for our food. Then the appetizer arrived. It was presented with absolutely no love and tasted absolutely nothing. Then came the main course: tortellini, lasagna, and pizza. The pizza tasted of NOTHING. The tortellini and lasagna were OK...but nothing more! When the supposed head waiter came to the table and asked if everything was okay, I told him it wasn't tasty. He then freaked out and yelled at the top of his lungs that it couldn't be right and that we were crazy, so that all the guests could hear. Then he attacked my companion and asked why they didn't say a word! I then asked for the bill and received an advance invoice without a tax number or TSE. Apparently, the bill would simply be canceled at the end. Dear people and holidaymakers, please do yourselves a favor and go somewhere else... otherwise you'll really regret it! Edit: The service staff was completely overwhelmed.

We ate there with a large group and were very satisfied. Both the service and the food were excellent! The menu offers a wide selection, with something for everyone. The location by the harbor and the free parking are also plus points.

We arrived at 6 p.m. because we wanted to catch one of the last ferries in Puttgarden. We got a very nice outdoor seat and ordered some food from the daily menu. After waiting for almost an hour, we discreetly asked where our food was. The friendly, young waitress then asked the kitchen and told us the food would be here in a few minutes. Well, it came very quickly, but unfortunately one dish wasn't as ordered. We kept it anyway. The kitchen had probably forgotten something. The pizza had been in the oven a bit too short, and the verdure on top had 2-3 carelessly thrown-on pieces of cauliflower and broccoli. The seasoning was rather lacking or even nonexistent. The (incorrectly delivered) gnocchi, however, were very good, as was another pasta dish, but the risotto was more like a German rice porridge than an Italian risotto. The price was definitely very high for the quality of the food. All in all, an attentive young waitress with a somewhat clumsy colleague and a disorganized kitchen. Personally, if I were to stay in Heiligenhafwe again, I would definitely look for something else.

We ate at Al Mare on Sunday. In my opinion, they had the most delicious pizza 🍕 I've ever eaten. We got a great table outside without a reservation. The service was great, and the food came to the table really quickly. We enjoyed it so much that we went back on Tuesday and were completely impressed again. I can only recommend Al Mare; it's the perfect restaurant for a great end to the day on the Baltic Sea.

A long-established Italian restaurant in Heiligenhafen. Many locals also enjoy it. The food is very good. I really like the minestrone, but the pizzas are also fantastic. The service is very fast, and dogs are welcome. You should make a reservation in advance or come later when the tourists are already tired. We liked it and will always be an option for us.

It was very tasty; we had two pizzas to take away. The only thing they could have done better was that they gave us a half-hour pickup time, which unfortunately meant the pizza wasn't quite hot anymore – but it tasted even better. Definitely worth recommending.

For me the food had no taste, no spices (oregano etc). Italian cuisine is known for Mediterranean spices. The service is friendly but if you want to order something, you wait and hope that the service looks at you. The bottle exhibition is enormous. Overall, not again.

Definitely expected more based on the good reviews. The restaurant was fully booked and we were supposed to come back half an hour later. Afterwards we were left standing unnoticed for 5 minutes. However, the order was taken and served quickly. However, the quality of the pizza and pasta was average at best. The pizza was pretty “soggy” and didn’t taste great either. Unfortunately, the situation was similar with the pasta. It could be that it was because it was busy, but that was a reason for us to prefer a different location next time.

We reserved a table for two people the day before for my birthday. We were greeted with the words “Colleague is coming soon.”. Since no table was reserved for us (even though we were in the book), we were told to wait. So we stood in the middle of the room and it was not foreseeable that other guests would get up soon. That's why we left this desert of service and had an excellent meal in the Kamino restaurant, where you are treated very warmly. Conclusion: (N)once & never again!

Nothing special but it was tasty! The ambience is fine, I find the little doilies on the beautiful table unnecessary and the jug with the cutlery that is placed on the table fits more into a Bavarian tavern 😉 Otherwise you can spend an evening there with a clear conscience!

When I visited, the entire restaurant was empty except for two tables. Unfortunately, instead of a helpful suggestion, such as the possibility of using a table for 30 minutes until the next reservation arrives, I only received a malicious grin and the answer “No, nothing left available”. This treatment leaves the impression that new guests are not welcome, which is particularly unfortunate given the obviously neglected interior, which is characterized by dust on the furniture. I wish you much success with your restaurant and would like to encourage you to rethink your tone towards potential guests. Respectful and welcoming service could certainly help create a positive atmosphere.

We were recommended here by the hotel and really enjoyed it. The quality of both the starters, the main course and the accompanying wines was excellent. The tiramisu fit the bill perfectly. Only the equipment was no longer up to date. But that just means that there is still some room for 5 stars in the category. For everything else, I don't know what there is to complain about. Very clear recommendation.

Nice staff and actually cozy too. Pizza was delicious, unfortunately the "tomato soup" was terrible! The soup/sauce (?) was very thick and sour and actually had the same taste as the one on the pizza :-(! And it was heavy on my husband's stomach and he was very sick the whole night. What a shame!!

The food was very, very tasty! Pizza was huge and very well prepared. Unfortunately the ambience is poor. No real Italian flair, no music, no attention from the house in advance. The restaurant's phone kept ringing at an unpleasant volume and those picking up food were waiting for their food right next to our table. The food, however, made everything better. Despite these negative points, one of the best pizzas we have ever eaten.

Pizza Nuova and Pizza Sicilia 10/10, both were well topped and simply delicious. The outside seats were all occupied, so more guests were positioned inside on this summery day (Tuesday). The interior is very comfortably furnished. The service staff was very friendly, we were asked twice if we liked it and if we had another wish, despite the fact that there were only two of the staff that day. Conclusion: A visit is definitely worth it!!

The food was very tasty, the quality of the meat (in this case beef) was excellent and tender. The ambience and wine selection were also top. The only point of criticism was the young waiter who was more busy watching the current football game than serving the guests. Luckily for us, a very friendly young waitress came along and was able to make things up to some extent. So it turned out to be a pleasant evening.

We were here on New Year's Eve with 4 people 2024/2025! We reserved the table weeks ago! It all worked out great! The food was very good for all four people, despite the busyness! Super nice service! Anyone who doesn't understand that it might take a little longer on such evenings is generally out of place on such evenings, regardless of the restaurant! We were extremely satisfied and can only recommend it!

We had reserved a table for New Year's Eve weeks in advance. When we were there at 8:00 p.m. on New Year's Eve, there was no table (4 people) left for us. The female waiter was also very unfriendly. Luckily she had a young male colleague who got us something from another restaurant.

Eating for two. The quite large, well-topped tuna pizza was delicious. The salad was rather average. Nice atmosphere, although a little old-fashioned for our taste. Friendly and quick service.

After the Christmas market, the family went to an Italian restaurant in the evening and we were all thrilled. Whether pizza, pasta, risotto or the fish soup, everything was really tasty. The service is quick, but there is still room for improvement in terms of friendliness. The Vitello Tonnato seemed as if the veal came from the refrigerated section of the supermarket and was drowned in sauce. Not a real highlight. The pasta with salmon and tomato sauce was very oily and not particularly intense in taste. The wine was okay, but that's not much of an art. All in all, not particularly satisfactory for €90 for two people. Looks like a typical tourist Italian to me, you have to know...

The atmosphere is very cozy. We would receive a very friendly welcome. The service was very friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our pizzas. I ordered the Pizza Proccitto. The pizza base is as delicious as in Italy. We paid €36 with drinks and two pizzas. We'll be back. I heartily recommend this pizzeria.

A successful day comes to an end when you have celebrated the end there. It always tastes delicious and is a culinary delight. Of course, taste is always a sensory organ that can be debated, but our palate is always awakened when we have eaten our food here. We can absolutely recommend the restaurant.

Bei gutem Wetter haben wir auf der Terrasse Pizza gegessen. Die Pizzen haben geschmeckt und waren ganz normaler Durchschnitt wie halt so eine Pizza sein sollte. Nicht besser, aber auch nicht schlechter als woanders. Man kann also durchaus noch mal hingehen. Die Terrasse und die Tische sind etwas schmucklos und könnten sicherlich mit Deko oder Blumenkübel optisch aufgepeppt werden. Drinnen waren wir nicht, von daher keine Beurteilung möglich. Es war sowohl drinnen ( was man durchs Fenster sehen konnte) als auch draußen gut besucht. Der Service war schnell und pragmatisch. Persönlich hätte ich mich als Gast über ein Lächeln bei der Bestellung oder ein paar verbindliche Worte gefreut, aber das hat natürlich dem Essen keinen Abbruch getan und ist Ansichtssache. Wer nur Pizza-Appetit hat und keinen „romantischen“ Abend beim Italiener erwartet, ist dort gut aufgehoben.

It tasted good but the food wasn't enough for €21 pasta scampi 100g pasta with 5 pieces of scampi I really think it's a shame that we eat so little for a lot of money I visited so many restaurants, the most expensive was around €18 but there was also something on the plate Paid €21 and I was still hungry

Pizza is tasty, but the pasta is lukewarm. Unfortunately the dishes are bland and poorly seasoned. Sometimes a splash of lemon is missing, sometimes salt.

Pizza and pasta with salmon tasted good

For me the worst restaurant in Heiligenhafen so far. The prices in the previously viewed menu on the website were significantly lower. When asked, the Kate should actually no longer be online. After ordering, after a long wait, we noticed that the third table that ordered after us was now receiving their food. Then finally the three slices of bread, soft from too much oil, were served with chopped tomatoes. I actually ordered bruschetta. No basil, just spice powder sprinkled over it. A disaster for an Italian restaurant! Then the main course. The meat was good. The vegetables and the potatoes we ordered that were still on the plate looked great. Nicely fried. BUT ICE COLD! How does it work? So just warmed up, but forgotten. After a while I got the vegetables warm again. Unfortunately no apology etc. when paying. Last but not least, my wife and then I went to the toilet again. It feels like the light goes off again after 5 seconds and you stand or sit in the dark because the motion detector turns off the light. For me, I empty my bladder twice while once. It's a shame, we wanted to enjoy the last evening again. Disappointing and overpriced evening for what you get!

We hadn't been there for a while and the food/pizza wasn't to our liking. This time we were pleasantly surprised, the pizza tasted very good, without too much cheese. The price/performance ratio was okay.

The food was super tasty. It's not right by the sea, but it's still a great place to sit and end the evening. The food comes quickly. However, there are small deductions in the B grade. The staff is polite, but could smile 1-2x more often ;)
