I got the worst and most expensive fish roll on the island today: a thick, chewy roll with more tartar sauce than Bismarck herring for €7! In the restaurant, used dishes were piled up on the tables. There seems to be a lot of things wrong here!? Never again!

Mega lekka, cheeseburger great with fresh ingredients, fish rolls great and even currywurst fries were tasty for the spoiled Ruhrpott palate. There is also pizza, so RECOMMENDED, something for everyone. Gladly again!!!

Self-service. Reasonably priced and good food. Also good for children.

23.50 euros for two small fried fish rolls and a majo fries and a drink. Really steep and also unfriendly.

Had a Kiri-Kiri bowl: it was ice cold, very watery and tasted practically like nothing! My friends had sticky unsalted fries and the fried fish sandwiches were a joke!! (the worst fried fish sandwich in the last 50 years)

Some time ago we got ice cream there and it was of ok quality. Today I happened to be there when it started to rain. What can I say, ordered a burger and fries - man, that's a burger. Full for the whole day for just €14. The only thing that could be improved would be to switch from PET to glass bottles. And if self-service bothers you, you can go somewhere else.

Great location, just before the beach, but not good opening times. Unfortunately there was no food either, although it wasn't particularly sophisticated.

Very nice shop. The food is delicious, the price/performance ratio is okay. Ideal for a small lunch snack.

We walked past it every day and somehow the shop always felt closed. Well, then we were lucky and just wanted to have a little snack. Ordered the falafel salad and a panini once. Added 2 bottles of soda and we spent around €27. To do this, you pick up the food at the counter and bring it to your seat yourself. The falafel salad was very tasty and the panini was more like a long, sesame seed bun. It didn't taste bad, but it didn't have much to do with a real panini.

All in all great, fries crispy and warm, Panini Italiano delicious, the vegetarian burgers really excellent and the fish and chips also great. Great value for money for the island 😊 Definitely again next year 😊

Seller messed up my order and then yelled at me about not being able to communicate properly. Thick ice crystals in the ice cream and tools not clean (had chocolate on my passion fruit ice cream)

Espresso lukewarm, bitter, inedible.

Coffee from our own Kanne roastery. But what sense does that make if you're working with a fully automatic machine, and one of the cheaper types? The result is a tasteless, low-cream mini coffee for EUR 3 that has absolutely nothing to do with a real espresso.

So yes, the ambience itself is very nice but not really well thought out. Very difficult, especially for families, when there are actually only tables for two outside. In terms of price, you can say that with less than €15 per person you can eat something but not feel full. What's particularly sad is that if you want to get a Bismarck at 3 p.m. and have to wait because there are no more... (it wasn't even possible to have fries with it anymore because they were apparently sold out)

Meager selection! Not even half of the menu can be ordered.

The ambience is nice, but that's it. The bowl came with cheap rice (not sushi rice) that was undercooked, frozen nuggets and canned mango. The vinegar wasn't skimped on either, so luckily you didn't taste any of the canned fruit. The pizza only tasted like one from Gustavo Gusto. It would be a compliment if the slice hadn't cost €6 but €1. Overall very bad food at an overpriced price. Since the restaurant was completely empty, I'm assuming we're not the only ones with this opinion. It's a shame that Matjes & Co is closed.

We were here for the second time today, thought yesterday would have been an exception, unfortunately not. After the cake was still frozen and I was offered to put it in the microwave, I politely declined. You could do a lot with this beautifully decorated restaurant, but with frozen cakes it fails, at least for me. Even if the selection were much smaller, a homemade sponge cake would always be better than that. It's a shame that nowadays everyone always wants to make everything so easy for themselves and customers still accept it.

Good vegetarian and vegan options. Nice ambience.

We were completely satisfied with the successor to “Majes and Co”. First of all, there are menus both at the counter and on the tables. The furnishings are very well done and clean (including the toilets) and the tables were wiped down every now and then when there was less activity. We had a herring and crab roll. These were freshly prepared, we had to wait 5 minutes, but it was worth it. The rolls were fresh and crunchy. As with “Matjes and co”, this is also self-service.

Very limited offer. At 5 p.m. there was only 1 pizza left to bake and 2 pieces of cake. The day before we only had fish sandwiches with salmon.

Such a nice restaurant, but unfortunately the pineapple on my Hawaiian pizza was bad (fermenting). I got a new piece, but the pineapple wasn't edible here either!

In our presence, the shift manager / operations manager slammed doors, shouted at employees and threatened them (?) The food wasn't good either. Indefinable piece of dough for our crab roll.

We were generally very satisfied. The fish sandwiches were good and my vegan vish and chips were good too. Dogs are welcome and the sanitary facilities were clean. However, as already mentioned in other reviews, my fries tasted like fish, which as a vegan I didn't find that pleasant.

I was there today with my two daughters and my grandchild. There was no changing table in the toilet room. My pregnant daughter had to change the little one on the floor tiles. Not nice

Preis-Leistung passt selbst für Juist nicht! Die Kiri Kiri-Bowl verspricht mehr als sie letztendlich hält: Das Hühnchenbrustfilet besteht aus 3 Stücken vorgefertigtem paniertem Fleisch, ähnlich wie Fischstäbchen. Die Edamame muss man mit der Lupe suchen, obwohl die auf der Zutatenliste ganz vorne stehen.

Das Essen passt vom Preis Leistungsverhältnis leider nicht . Selbstbedienung ist ja ansich kein Problem aber beim bezahlen hat man doch Kontakt zum Personal. Für uns gibt es genügend Alternativen um auf Juist zu essen.

Wir hatten 2 Pizzen. Leider waren beide nicht sehr lecker und besonders die Hawaii Pizza war recht dürftig belegt. Preise waren okay aber würde es trotzdem nicht weiterempfehlen.

Zunächst einmal muss man sagen, dass die Einrichtung sehr gelungen ist und alles sehr sauber war. Wir haben heute zweimal Currywurst mit Pommes und ein Matjesbrötchen bestellt. Die Currywurst war ein Gedicht und es wurde ein sehr gutes geschmackvolles Curry verwendet und kein Billigpulver. Ich beziehe mich auf die anderen Bewertungen und kann nur sagen, dass die Pommes weder öllig noch salzig waren und sie haben auch nicht nach Fisch geschmeckt. Auch das Matjesbrötchen war sehr gut und kann weiterempfohlen werden. Nun zu den weiteren Bewertungen: Auf jedem Tisch ist eine Speisekarte ! Über der Bestelltheke hängt eine Speisekarte und draußen am Eingang ebenso. Jetzt bin ich mir nicht sicher, wo die anderen Gäste noch weitere Speisekarten erwarten. Und übrigens stehen auf allen Karten auch Preise und wem es zu teuer ist, der kennt die Preise ja vorher und kann woanders hingehen, wenn sie ihm nicht zusagen. Für uns war das Essen und das Ambiente sehr gut. Die 3 Sterne beim Service resultieren aus der Selbstbedienung, die für uns aber kein Problem darstellt. Wir sind nett bei der Bestellung bedient worden. Und nun zum guten Schluß: Dies ist keine Fake-Bewertung, die von den Eigentümern kommt. Sondern eine Bewertung von 2 Touristen aus Süddeutschland.

Sehr gute Fisch Brötchen und sehr guter Kaffee ☕. Sehr netter Service und sehr freundliches Personal. Liegt direkt hinter der Düne und am direkten Weg vom Ortszentrum zum Strand. Wir waren während unsers Aufenthaltes drei mal dort und besonders können wir das Räucherlachs- und Matjesfilet-Brötchen empfehlen. Eigentlich ist die Lage und das Essen mit Kaffee ideal als kleine Snack-Stop in Juist geeignet.

Pizza war gut, auch der Rest kann man machen

Für kleine Mahlzeiten gut geeignet. Draußen im Strandkorb sitzen und Cappuccino trinken macht Spaß. Leider gibt es nicht mehr das frühere Suppenangebot (leckere Fisch- oder Krabbensuppe).

Selbstbedienung, es muss sofort am Tresen bezahlt werden. Dame dahinter war nicht besonders freundlich. Hatten 2 Pizzastücke bestellt, die in der Größe stark unterschiedlich waren. Ich habe dies bemängelt u bekam ( ohne Vorankündigung) ein zweites Stück aufs Haus. War ok, aber dann doch recht viel. Preisnachlass wäre ausreichend gewesen. Aber zumindest hat man reagiert.

Ich habe hier einen der besten vegetarischen Burger gegessen, die ich je probiert habe. Absolut zu empfehlen.

Lage und Preise sind sehr gut. Leider ist das Essen sehr mäßig. Bei einem Restaurant mit diesem Namen sollte dieses Gericht Kernkompetenz sein. War leider ein Fertigprodukt mit geschmacklichem und mengenmäßigen Potential nach oben. Das geht besser. Sonst aber in Ordnung...

Leckere Pizza und leckerer Kuchen

Die Einrichtung ist modern und hochwertig. Leider passt das nicht zum Angebot der Speisen. Die Fischbrötchen mit Matjes/Lachs (7 Euro) sind überteuert und nur von durchschnittlicher Qualität. Pommes leider in altem Fett frittiert, so dass der Magen noch einen Tag länger an den Besuch dieser Lokalität erinnert - Service ist bemüht. Fazit: für 7 Euro erwartet der Kunde ein absolut fantastisches Fischbrötchen, welches es sonst nirgendwo auf Juist gibt. Das ist hier leider nicht der Fall gewesen. Potential wäre vorhanden…

Das Ambiente finde ich echt schön und das Essen ist ganz ok. Leider ist die Bedienung echt unfreundlich und frech. Echt schade.

16€ für Burger mit Pommes und großer Cola ist für Juister Verhältnisse fast schon geschenkt. Geschmeckt hat es auch und es gab noch ein gratis Heißgetränk. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)
