Very nice restaurant with super good food!! You also get dessert and ouzo, really very customer-oriented. I would recommend the location to anyone who values ​​good quality and good service.

Fantastic menu, especially the starters were a poem. We chose menu 1, where a variety of variations were served. Price/performance is great! I'm generally not a big fan of Greek cuisine, but I was actually very positively surprised here. Praise to the kitchen and the excellent service!

This is what a great restaurant experience looks like. Delicious food, great service and a good atmosphere. Here we had the best Moussaka we have ever tried. Our waiter was very friendly and spoke several languages. And to top it all, they gave everyone in the restaurant free shots and dessert. Simply amazing.

We had our Christmas party here and had a great evening. The food was excellent and offered a varied selection, the waiters were friendly, funny and relaxed - very pleasant. Festive mood and cool atmosphere. Everything was fine.

Delicious Greek in Munich. The food is very good and the seating is nice too. However, you should reserve well in advance as they are always fully booked on weekends. The grilled calamari is recommended.

We've had our X-mas company dinner for the 4th year in a row at Kalypsos and are very happy. Excellent food, nice athmosphere and for most parts good service. As people and perceptions vary, some servers could have been more attentive and open.

The best Greek for us for a long time. Fresh food, not dripping in oil and nice authentic service. Price-performance is also right. There are also some vegetarian options.

We visited the Kalypso on a Thursday. It was very crowded and loud. You have to like this atmosphere. Personally, it was too narrow and there were too many guests and tables. The food was great, especially the appetizer platter. It was also a lot, you'll definitely get full. That's why I had a good portion of the main course packed. Unfortunately, all of the side dishes were ignored, although there was still plenty left. If you like side dishes, this is very disappointing :(

A perfect evening. The service and atmosphere were great. The food was incredibly tasty and just like you would expect from Greece. Everything was freshly prepared and tastes fantastic. Finally a real Greek and not the “Germanized” Greek food that we usually know. We'll definitely be back!

I was here for dinner yesterday with a friend. I loved the food and their service. The staff were very polite. Food tasted delicious and fresh. I am now a big fan of their garlic pita:) If you are loking for mediterranean food, I highly recommend this restaurant.

As always, a very nice evening at Kalypso with a very good atmosphere, lovely food, well-kept Greek wines and very friendly service that never seemed intrusive. Definitely my favorite Mediterranean restaurant, and I'll be back soon!

We were cramped between two tables, felt like we are eating with them. Place was so loud we could hardly hear anything. Food was really great though and service as well.

We were there with 14 friends for my birthday. The dishes were delicious—some of the best we’ve had in Munich, especially the starters. The service was outstanding, something we’ve missed and rarely experienced elsewhere. The waitstaff serving us were exceptionally friendly and efficient; even with a group of 14, we didn’t have to wait long, and everything was well-organized once we were seated. The only downside was a 10-minute wait outside before being seated. Normally, this is perfectly acceptable, but since we were a large group celebrating a birthday, we had hoped to be seated promptly. Overall, it was a fantastic choice for a birthday celebration. Thanks to everyone involved!

We had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful Greek restaurant, we absolutely love it! As soon as you enter you are greeted by the warm atmosphere and Mediterranean flair. The furnishings are cozy, stylish and immediately remind you of vacation days by the sea. The food was just great! From the starters to the dessert – every course was an experience for the senses. The ingredients were fresh, the spices were perfectly balanced, and the portions were generous. The service was friendly, attentive and always with a smile - the team made sure we felt completely at home. Frequency is high, so reservation is mandatory. For anyone who loves authentic Greek cuisine, this restaurant is a must. We will definitely come back and can only warmly recommend it!

Fantastic food in a cozy atmosphere! The tavern offers authentic Greek cuisine in a wonderfully cozy atmosphere in the middle of Schwabing. Every dish we ordered was fresh and full of flavor. The service was first class – friendly, attentive and warm. We felt completely comfortable. We definitely enjoy coming back again and again. Absolutely worth 5 stars!

A bright, atmospheric & always busy restaurant with authentic Greek cuisine! We tried some of the Hellas classics there and everything tasted delicious, regardless of whether bifteki, moussaka or calamari was ordered. In addition, the portions are always huge and easily satisfy even the most hungry. Another absolutely great plus is the friendly crew, who stay in a good mood and are really friendly even under the most intense stress. In any case, you should make a reservation, because in the evening the tavern (both inside and outside) is often full to the last table. Jamas!🍷

Reservation online was very quick and uncomplicated. When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted very friendly and shown to the square. Our waiter was very friendly, nice and always there when you needed him. He took good care of us. The food was very good and the portions are really big. I had Melinaplatte and my husband had Gyros. Unfortunately it doesn't come with a side dish - you have to order these separately. So with a side dish it comes to around €20. Ambience is very nice, maybe a bit too dark… You couldn't read the menu exactly, you had to concentrate, but it was romantic. All in all a very good restaurant and very friendly staff. The food is top! We'll definitely be back!

We celebrated a friend's birthday at Kalypso this evening and it was a really nice evening! The food was very tasty and the service was super nice and accommodating. We'll definitely be back, you can't find such nice staff everywhere these days :)!!

Honestly I have the feeling Munich still has a lot to grow in the food aspect but this place basically saves the city. Amazing food, nice service, nice environment. Totally recommend

One of the best restaurants in Germany!!

The Calypso is our “Greek”. So far we have never been disappointed and will come back at any time.

The food was generally good, everything was fresh, nicely prepared, etc. However, on the grill plate with the gyros etc. the meat was rather fatty, which is generally not unusual, but we have also had slightly less fatty meat from other Greeks . But the taste was great. What was a shame about the farmer's salad was that the vegetables and feta were rather coarse and cut into thick, coarser slices, which in our opinion would be more pleasant to eat if cut smaller for a salad. We got two meals on the house and at the end a dessert (Greek yogurt with nuts and honey) also came to our table without being asked, which we found to be a nice gesture. The price-performance ratio was ok for the location.

Very cozy Greek restaurant in a beautiful location. Very tasty and eaten in peace. Reservations are recommended, it is busy, and in bad weather there is only room to eat indoors. The staff is friendly and orders are served quickly. All in all highly recommended.

Best Greek restaurant where we have eaten so far! The staff was very nice and friendly with a lot of humor! We had halloumi from the grill, gyros, calypse platter, gyros & calamari, tzatziki, and a farmer's salad. The meat was very tasty, high quality, very soft and highly recommended! Very deserved 5 stars!

There can't be anything other than 5*! The food is a dream, the gyros were super tender and the starters were also great! The only thing we would probably order next time is the pita with garlic without garlic... I really like garlic, but that was really a bit too much. Otherwise we'd love to come back 😋

Had a great early evening with my girls! Great food (we had starters across the board and grilled calamari (very classic) - everything was very tasty. We laughed a lot and the waiters were delightful! The rosé also went down well :D .. I definitely recommend reserving a table, otherwise You wait in a queue like in front of a good club 😊 - definitely speaks for a good restaurant. I'll be happy to come back!

The food was awesome, and the service was quick. We ordered two dishes and fries, and it was more than enough for us. I heard that the restaurant is usually packed, so we made a reservation before going. That was a good idea because the place was full when we arrived. They gave us two free shots of some aromatic liquor before we ordered and watermelon at the end. It was a nice touch. Overall, we had a great time at the restaurant. We'll definitely go back again.

The Greek tavern Kalypso is located right in downtown Munich near Josephplatz. Food: Excellent Greek food, both the antipasti and the briam were well above average. The portion size is also okay. There is a large selection, including something for vegetarians and vegans. There was also ouzo and watermelon on the house. Service: Nice and very fast service, both drinks and food came very quickly. Birthdays are a real joy here with Musin and all the trimmings. Ambiance: The tavern really has charm and is furnished in a rustic style. Nevertheless, everything is very chic and clean.

All in all a successful evening, although seat cushions outside would be appropriate. We would like to come again.

Probably the best Greek restaurant in Munich. You should definitely make a reservation as the space available is limited. It will be quite tight with a stroller and/or dog, so it's better to reserve a larger table. Very courteous service!

The Restaurant is very good! Warm and friendly atmosphere, generous, quick and clear service. We have ordered a starter and it consisted already of 5 or 6 plates of delicious sauces with olives, pita, paprika, zucchini whatever. Everything is fresh and top served. Uzo as a starter and especially a dessert at the and of the meal is not just a good tone but also a sign of traditional greek hospitality. Special notice: if the reservation in internet site not available (any more) you can always try to reserve a table per telephone. And if you get a table for 1900 pm, they will allow you to stay till only 2130pm, two hours. Then comes the next reservation. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and colleagues.

A very good Greek restaurant in Munich with really big portions. We made the mistake ordering starter and a main course and it was impossible to finish - even for the greatest Eater with us. It can be quite full and loud but its still ok to have conversations.
