Always a great experience. I celebrated my birthday at Kalypso; there were 11 of us, and everything went perfectly. The service was excellent, always friendly, with plenty of ouzo, delicious food including fish and meat, and a huge selection of desserts. Exactly what you'd expect from a Greek restaurant that's not too partyy but has a great atmosphere. Fantastic. I'd definitely go again!

The food was simply outstanding – a well-deserved 10 out of 10! The taramasalata was divine: creamy, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive, and to top it all off, we even received a complimentary dessert. The atmosphere is authentic and very inviting. Highly recommended – I will definitely be back!

Simply amazing - drink the house wine, it's amazing

There were five of us there. We ordered five portions: a salad, two fries, and five drinks, and paid €200 for that. The portions were very small, and it was obvious they were being very stingy. We even asked if they could move the table next to us to ours. There was no one there. They just gave us strange looks and said they had enough space. That was at 10 p.m. The meat was very tasty, though. Unfortunately, the service was not friendly, and when you order drinks, you get 0.25-liter bottles, which I don't understand at all.

An excellent restaurant. The lamb is delicious. However, you should always make a reservation, as it's always full.

Yesterday, eight of us went to the Kalypso Tavern and had a wonderful evening. The food and wine were excellent, the ambiance was lovely and cozy, and the service was attentive and warm. A thoroughly enjoyable evening. We'll definitely be back!

My favorite Greek restaurant in Munich!! The food is always very good, fresh, and well-seasoned. I particularly like the cold appetizers, but I also highly recommend the Briam and the grilled squid with gyro. The house white wine is always perfectly chilled, tastes delicious, and is almost sparkling. The service is super friendly and fast, and they often come around the corner with a glass of ouzo! The atmosphere is simply Calypso. Thank you 🤩

This restaurant exceeded our expectations many times over in terms of service, quality, and taste. If you want to eat good Greek food, this is the place to go! As soon as you enter, you feel like you're on vacation; that's exactly how you and your taste buds are treated. The restaurant is child-friendly, spotlessly clean, and what I also noticed was the spacious seating: no shoving at the table, just enough space for a full stomach. Value for money: top-notch! If I could, I'd give it 6 stars!

We had a wonderful evening there yesterday. The food was absolutely amazing. A lovely chef and a fantastic team. This restaurant will be our new regular Greek restaurant. I highly recommend it.

The mezze were great! Most of the time we sat outside but at a certain time we has to go inside, so that the neighbors were not bothered by the remaining guests of the restaurant.

Sorry. That's completely unacceptable. Drinks spilled on my son, and they didn't handle it properly. The food was okay—she said we ordered a variety of things, which wasn't the case. Then she said she would remove it from the bill. Service was bad—food was okay.

We came spontaneously and got a seat even though it was full. Very attentive service (everyone is attentive), a great atmosphere, and super delicious food. We'll be back!

We visited the wonderful Kalypso for the first time today. We're from the Heilbronn area and are spoiled by our local Greek restaurants – Kalypso takes it to the next level and leaves nothing to be desired. A very good restaurant, very friendly staff, and despite not having a reservation, we still managed to get a great spot for our family of three. Whether you're young or old – we highly recommend Kalypso! Have fun!

I recently had the pleasure of spending an evening at this wonderful Greek restaurant again. Although my online reservation didn't work for some reason, the owner was extremely flexible and friendly – he was able to get me a table at very short notice. That alone deserves a huge compliment! The food was – as always – simply outstanding. Freshly prepared, authentically seasoned, and lovingly presented. I particularly recommend the baby calamari and the appetizer for two, but basically everything here tastes fantastic. The ambiance is cozy, stylish, and inviting – you almost feel like you're on vacation in Greece. The music and decor also contribute to the pleasant atmosphere. The service was first-class: attentive, friendly, quick, and with a smile – you can tell the heart and soul of the place. I would definitely come back and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

We spontaneously called this restaurant yesterday (Saturday) and actually managed to get a seat in the evening. The entire team was incredibly helpful and very quick with everything. Even though it was completely full, we didn't have to wait long for our food or drinks. The gyro was absolutely amazing, as were the side dishes and just about everything we ate. The prices are also completely reasonable! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Despite having a reservation, we had to wait almost 20 minutes for a table, and then it took another 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. The starters were really great, but the main courses were unfortunately so-so, as the meat in all three dishes we ordered was dry.

A super nice restaurant with excellent value for money in the heart of Schwabing. I went there with two friends, and everything we ordered was delicious. The service was fast and attentive, especially the male servers. A female waitress, who also brought us food, was a bit rude and served the food more like a cafeteria, with a free lunch menu. I deducted one star for the ambiance because it's just very, very loud. Since it was raining outside, we had to sit inside. It certainly won't be the last time I'll be there, given the excellent value for money.

Very delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere both inside and outside under the outdoor lighting. The service is prompt, and my dishes didn't take long to prepare. Reservations are recommended, as the restaurant gets busy.

The food and the wine is always good and the team is just amazing people. Very nice to share dishes. The place is very nicely decorated, but int tends to become too loud. There is no diapers changing table on the toilets.

Very good food in a cool atmosphere!

We were there for the fourth time today. Unfortunately, it will be the last time. We had bifteki, and it was just terrible: completely cold, tough, and no feta in it. After complaining, they just put a piece of feta on the table. Unfortunately, they're now mass-produced in two shifts :-(

Bad service! I politely asked the waiter if he could recommend something from the menu, and he replied, "I can't go through the entire menu with you right now. I'll just write down what you order, and besides, I don't have time; there are other guests here."

The food is simply delicious! The waitresses and the kitchen staff are very quick, and the service is very friendly. This is exactly what I expect from a restaurant. The portions are very generous, so you'd better come hungry if you're having an appetizer.

Kalypso is one of my favorite restaurants in Munich. The food and the atmosphere are always top-notch! The yogurt and honey dessert is particularly special :) Even if you drop by without a reservation on a busy Saturday night, they always make sure you get a seat. One minor thing: there have been a few times when the lemon oregano chicken was out of stock, which is a shame, but luckily there are plenty of other options. Perhaps they could keep an eye out for that in the future ;)

Even if the food here had been bad, we would still have loved it! :) Such a wonderful, bustling, and communicative atmosphere. The waiters zip around, you're constantly being served ouzo without ordering (or paying), jokes are being exchanged, and Greek is spoken everywhere. It hasn't felt so welcome in a new place in a long time. But the food was also incredibly delicious: we had lemon chicken, beautifully grilled on the outside and yet juicy on the inside, two lovely pieces. It came with tzatziki. Side dishes are ordered separately; we had salad and vegetables. The second main course was gyros. To drink, we had the vermouth aperitif, a beer, and house wine. The yogurt dessert with honey and walnuts was a gift, without asking. We certainly won't be returning here for the last time. The prices were also very reasonable!!!

It was very loud inside, we actually wanted a table for 6 outside. Apparently you couldn't put it together. The food was good but even better a few months ago. Has subsided. We then waited almost 30 minutes to be able to pay.
