Spectacular, super friendly waiters, good food, good atmosphere, 100% recommended.

There can't be anything other than 5*! The food is a dream, the gyros were super tender and the starters were also great! The only thing we would probably order next time is the pita with garlic without garlic... I really like garlic, but that was really a bit too much. Otherwise we'd love to come back 😋

Had a great early evening with my girls! Great food (we had starters across the board and grilled calamari (very classic) - everything was very tasty. We laughed a lot and the waiters were delightful! The rosé also went down well :D .. I definitely recommend reserving a table, otherwise You wait in a queue like in front of a good club 😊 - definitely speaks for a good restaurant. I'll be happy to come back!

The food was awesome, and the service was quick. We ordered two dishes and fries, and it was more than enough for us. I heard that the restaurant is usually packed, so we made a reservation before going. That was a good idea because the place was full when we arrived. They gave us two free shots of some aromatic liquor before we ordered and watermelon at the end. It was a nice touch. Overall, we had a great time at the restaurant. We'll definitely go back again.

Crete salad was very below expectations and completely different than. Baby calamari was the only good one Kalpyso teller was average Atmosphere and service was good İ would expect much more better on taste

The Greek tavern Kalypso is located right in downtown Munich near Josephplatz. Food: Excellent Greek food, both the antipasti and the briam were well above average. The portion size is also okay. There is a large selection, including something for vegetarians and vegans. There was also ouzo and watermelon on the house. Service: Nice and very fast service, both drinks and food came very quickly. Birthdays are a real joy here with Musin and all the trimmings. Ambiance: The tavern really has charm and is furnished in a rustic style. Nevertheless, everything is very chic and clean.

All in all a successful evening, although seat cushions outside would be appropriate. We would like to come again.

Came here with my mother and boyfriend, and all of us had a fabulous evening The service was great and very attentive. The food was delicious, but the portions are huge, so if you go for some starters, maybe share a main between two as the only thing worth mentioning is, it is pretty pricey! - very friendly reception (although we were told a little too clearly that - we would be there too late; we still got a place on Friday evening ;) -super nice, funny, authentic staff - good staffing ratio for a Friday evening (no waiting times! Rarely observed these days) - Staff even responded to “extra” requests in a very relaxed and courteous manner - extremely hard-working, good-humored young team (hardly to be seen in the restaurant anymore) - Food was delicious - the only thing: the bar stools could perhaps be replaced ;) - we will be back!!

Probably the best Greek restaurant in Munich. You should definitely make a reservation as the space available is limited. It will be quite tight with a stroller and/or dog, so it's better to reserve a larger table. Very courteous service!

The Restaurant is very good! Warm and friendly atmosphere, generous, quick and clear service. We have ordered a starter and it consisted already of 5 or 6 plates of delicious sauces with olives, pita, paprika, zucchini whatever. Everything is fresh and top served. Uzo as a starter and especially a dessert at the and of the meal is not just a good tone but also a sign of traditional greek hospitality. Special notice: if the reservation in internet site not available (any more) you can always try to reserve a table per telephone. And if you get a table for 1900 pm, they will allow you to stay till only 2130pm, two hours. Then comes the next reservation. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and colleagues.

A very good Greek restaurant in Munich with really big portions. We made the mistake ordering starter and a main course and it was impossible to finish - even for the greatest Eater with us. It can be quite full and loud but its still ok to have conversations.

An excellent restaurant in everything. It was the best restaurant we went to in Munich so far. If there are 4 people, I recommend you order an appetizer plate, octopus and 1 or 2 main dishes. Our main course recommendation is Lamm Souvlaki. They normally serve Ouzo as a shot, but if you want, they can also serve it with water in a raki glass.

We ordered starter for 2 person and souvlaki here. Everything was fresh and tasty. Inside is really crowded that is why the communication with friends can be a challenge. So, I recommend to reserve a table outside if the weather is nice.

Was here for my birthday, the food was very good. The service was very friendly. Definitely come back. The restaurant is very cozy. All the dishes I saw looked very good. I particularly enjoyed the starter of baked feta with sesame and honey. Very tasty!!!!

The food is okay, but everywhere else tastes as good or even much better. Service Ok. Reservation for 2 hours is a real circus. A man eats with a watch in his hand. There is no chance to order a starter and a dessert and eat it in peace and enjoy the food. I didn't like it anymore and I won't go there anymore. But that's my personal opinion.

Went as part of a group activity and had the entire space. So much delicious food. Everything was amazing. Go hungry, leave happy.

Very tasty food but 10 minutes after the main course was served we were informed that we had to leave immediately. If there is a two hour window for the reservation then the food has to come on time and not late, and in the end you will be held responsible for it because you ordered so late! It's a shame because it was otherwise very tasty.

The restaurant was great and the food was really tasty. It was packed and we had a reservation. Unfortunately, with end times. We really didn't waste time ordering, but we still couldn't manage to eat and drink something comfortably in that time. To be honest, in my opinion the reservation should not have been accepted like that. Still, it was nice and the food was really tasty. My Retsina was also great…Malamatina…the best… I would have liked to drink another ouzo...

The food here is absolutely amazing! My companion and I ordered the Kalypso platter and mixed appetizers for 2 people. The appetizers were good for at least 3 people! We were so full from the appetizers we took the Kalypso out. Reservations are a must as the place is absolutely packed and can get quite noisy when full. This is now my favorite Greek restaurant in Munich and I will definitely be returning!

The food was consistently 5*, I have rarely eaten so well at a Greek restaurant, thank you very much for that. But I also have to mention the seating is too narrow as in the comments before. I fully understand that the catering industry has really had nothing to laugh about in recent years and is now trying to serve as many people as possible. Unfortunately it was so tight that I always had to ask the people at the next table to get up with me in order to get up. I find it quite unpleasant to disturb someone who is enjoying their meal. Maybe you can see if it will be a little airier with a different arrangement 🤗 I would still like to come back. Thank you for the lovely evening!

Maybe the best Greek in Munich - we come here regularly. This time we had the cold and warm starter platter, gyros with bifteki and the moussaka - all dishes were generous portions and excellent. I can recommend the white Vermentino. The only drawback: it is very loud. Be sure to reserve.

It's such a shame... the seating is far too tight now, the reservation change feels like it's at the Oktoberfest (you stand in the way in the hallway, sometimes for a quarter of an hour because the table isn't free yet..) the acoustics are catastrophic, the food is mediocre (Starters were very good, the main course wasn't worth the money, the fish was dry and the meat was just ok) the obligatory yoghurt at the end uses even fewer nuts than before.. All in all, after so many years of satisfaction, it's just sobering, the price-performance ratio is no longer right, the service was ok.

Great Greek. We were there for the first time today and will definitely come back more often now. We had great attentive service. I think it was the boss who came to the tables and asked if everything was okay. The food was excellent, a bit more expensive but definitely worth the money. Top quality and large portions. Although this restaurant has a comfy atmosphere, I think this place is vastly overhyped… Quality of food is mediocre at best. Also some things on the menu promise you things you don’t end up getting (the Löwenzahn Salat was just a bunch of overlooked chard or something similar). Meat was very dry. Service was good, although it feels weird how there appears not one single female to be employed here. What’s up with that? Anyways, try it out if you must but there are many better Greek Taverns in Muc for better money.

A real pleasure! The Kalypso restaurant impressed us with its exquisite cuisine, cozy atmosphere and friendly service. The diverse menu offers culinary highlights that will pamper every palate. The fresh ingredients and creative preparation make every dish a taste experience. The staff is attentive and always concerned about the well-being of the guests. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and would love to come back! Highly Recommended.

Average quality food but plenty of it! Friendly and professional waiters. The environment is very disappointing. It presents itself as an atmospheric restaurant but the considerable number of tables and therefore people in a huge canteen-style room contributes to generating a crackling din of voices. Sometimes I couldn't hear what the person sitting at the table with me was saying! Far from unforgettable. I won't go back!

Kalypso has a diverse menu where you will definitely find something good to eat. We also found something delicious to eat and a very good wine to accompany it. However, the restaurant is extremely cramped, so you can neither sit comfortably nor chat in peace. For this reason I wouldn't necessarily want to go back.
