We had a nice dinner the other night. The plates are huge, but this doesn't stop the chefs from making them taste delicious! And you would think it is somewhat old, but go there and try it for yourself. Don't expect "Mehr Schein als Sein", but rather the opposite!

Excellent! We didn't have a reservation, and they made it possible for four people. The team is exceptionally fast and efficient. Always friendly, and above all, the food is good and generous. The bottle of red wine for €22 is a very fair price. I think a total of €150 for four people, including wine, starter, main course, and dessert, is very reasonable for such a good service!

We visited the Greek restaurant Poseidon in Munich and were absolutely thrilled! The food was incredibly delicious, the atmosphere beautiful—typically Greek. The dishes were served quickly, and the staff was super friendly. All in all, a fantastic experience; we'd love to come back! 🇬🇷

The Poseidon plate was a disaster; the meat was far too dry and simply not presentable. They also charged extra for the tzatziki, even though it's listed as included on the menu. It would be better to spend less on ouzo and pay more attention to the quality of the meat. I can't recommend this restaurant.

Great Greek food at moderate prices

Two of us dined at the Poseidon Restaurant on a Saturday without a reservation and with a voucher book. We were seated immediately and received very friendly and prompt service. Both the mixed grill and the grilled calamari were delicious. We also included an ouzo with the bill. Overall, a perfect evening in a fantastic restaurant. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The prices were overpriced. I paid almost €8 for a portion of tzatziki. I just think it's excessive. We ordered a fish platter for two and paid almost €70. Back then, they also served tzatziki, but now you have to pay extra for the sauce. Unfortunately, we won't be visiting the restaurant again.

I was a regular customer at Poseidon for years, but after the move, we haven't been there for years. We were there today, and everything is massively overpriced. A fish platter for two people alone cost €69.90, while in 2019 it cost €48, which is quite a significant difference. There was also no sauce, and I had to pay €8 for the tzatziki. Dessert was always served after the meal back then, but that's no longer available either. I definitely won't be going back. The taste was delicious, but it used to be better. There was also no olive oil or balsamic vinegar available. It's a shame that so many things have changed for the worse.

We've eaten there before, and everything was perfect. Today we ordered online for the first time. They're offering "2 for the price of 1," and we took advantage of it as a family. Interestingly, you only get half the portions as a meal. Salads without dressing. Gyros pita, some meat, and tzatziki, but lots of soft and tasteless fries. Gyros and calamari were so-so in terms of taste, and the portions were only half the size of the ones we'd get at the restaurant because of the promotion. 👎🏽 If the calculation doesn't allow for "2 for the price of 1," just don't. We won't be going to the restaurant again because of this.

We ordered gyros pita here and were unfortunately very disappointed. The dish was poorly prepared: barely any tzatziki, almost no onions (maybe a single ring), half a small slice of tomato, and the meat was burnt, in very large chunks, and extremely dry. Barely edible. The fries were also unsalted and tasteless. In the end, we had to prepare more tzatziki, onions, and tomatoes ourselves to even eat it. The "2 for the price of 1" offer unfortunately seems more like an attempt to compensate for poor quality. For us, this was by far the worst gyros pita ever. I had to throw it away. Photos available.

Great Greek restaurant Pleasant atmosphere Good, varied menu. The food deserves 5 stars. We tried four different dishes. We had ouzo before and after our meal. The service was very friendly, prompt, and courteous. We definitely recommend it.

Far too expensive. The food barely tastes good. Grilled calamari for almost €23, and you only get five. The prices here are disproportionate.

At €12 for a half-liter of wine spritzer, it's more expensive than at the Viktualienmarkt. The owner was very unfriendly after I asked him about the price. His reply was, "I could have charged two 6.50 euros each, which is a 0.25-liter price." However, the price for 0.5 liters isn't listed on the menu.

Overall good , I just felt they are not fully accustomed to foreigners but with a translated menu I made it past ordering . Good portions but not cheap

I was there today with my friends and we really enjoyed the atmosphere! The service was really friendly, and the ashtray was constantly being changed. A 👏🏻 for that. The food was also delicious 😋. I will definitely come again! Kudos to all the staff and the manager 👨‍🍳!!!

We came here spontaneously. We got a table on a weekday evening. The service was very good, attentive but not intrusive. The food was delicious and plentiful.

A quaint Greek restaurant with free ouzo before your meal. Generous portions, perfectly fine quality. Prices have risen significantly since my last visit, which is unfortunately out of proportion; there are better options in eastern Munich. Generally solid, but nothing special. Service and staff are very friendly! We'll be back. :)

Ordered online via wolt... Burned pita, 4 pieces, €23! Inedible! Unfortunately, they had to end up in the trash!! What a shame! Tzatziki and taramas taste like canned food... fries were raw... gyros were very thickly sliced and dry and flavorless, dolmades, with an estimated 20 grams of rice filling, were also inedible and tasteless... With this price/performance ratio—or even without it—you can assume something isn't going right here... Not recommended.

A warm appetizer for €19. A slice of tomato, a slice of cucumber, two vine leaves, and canned rice. Kudos to the management for sourcing such luxury products and making them accessible to customers during these difficult wartime times. 💚

A good Greek restaurant with a family atmosphere. We always enjoy coming back, especially in the summer. The bifteki was really juicy and delicious.

Basically, this is a very good Greek restaurant with excellent service. There's just one catch: My favorite dish is the grilled calamari. It was truly fantastic. They no longer serve it with ajoli or remoulade. Apparently, because some people are allergic to it or something (I didn't quite understand it either). And calamari without ajoli is like gyros without tzatziki or white sausages without sweet mustard. There's just something missing. For me, that's a reason not to order this dish again, and without it, I'll be coming much less often. Maybe for a gyro pita once in a while, but eating nice fish/seafood is out of the question. A real shame!

We've eaten Greek food many, many times in Munich and the surrounding area, and today we wanted to try another restaurant. We've never had such bad Greek food! The food was truly poor quality. The salad was completely tasteless. For our starter, we had Taramas for €7, but it didn't even come with bread; we had to order that extra €4. When the two main courses arrived, a small bag of ketchup was immediately added. The whole thing was very poorly presented. The fries were discount store quality and completely tasteless, not salted or seasoned. I've never eaten such a bad gyro. This was completely oversalted and burnt, so salty that the tip of my tongue just blisters and burns. There was no tzatziki served with it; that too had to be ordered separately for almost €8! The meat was very dry, whether it was the skewer, the lamb chop, or the liver. And you're supposed to eat the whole thing with a small bag of ketchup?! It was our first and last time eating here. Any other Greek would just shake their head. The Taramas, two dishes, and two drinks, cost us €70! We're happy to spend a little more on food, but certainly not on food of this quality! The restaurant itself is in need of some renovation and is dirty. The tables aren't set until you sit down. This doesn't look very inviting.

The menu has changed; sauces are no longer available with the dishes. You now have to order them separately and, of course, pay extra. Very unusual and strange for a Greek restaurant. Overall, it's just too expensive these days—that's it for us. Other Greek restaurants offer more for the money.

Cool location but the service was kind of grumpy and the food was really whatever.

A cozy, conveniently located Greek restaurant serving typical dishes. Lovingly decorated like a Bavarian restaurant, with wood-paneled walls contrasting with Greek murals and numerous shelves filled with Greek spirits and wines. During the warmer months, there's additional outdoor seating. The tender cooked lamb and other Greek classics are highly recommended. There's an inexpensive lunch menu during the week with generous portions. The service and all the staff are very friendly, and the atmosphere is warm.

The food (bifteki) was mediocre, but the prices were soon reasonable. I would recommend a different restaurant. The staff, however, was good 👌🏻

Gyros and Metaxagyros, the oven-baked lamb shank, are all VERY tasty. The fries and side salad, on the other hand, are very tasteless and boring. The male operators are quick and friendly, but there's no sense of comfort. The tables are crowded, the noise level is high, and the furniture and decor are ancient, dusty, and mismatched. The place is in desperate need of renovation. I'll be going there even less often in the future, only when I really have a craving for oven-baked lamb shank.

For an appetizer platter for 12 euros. I don't think that's right. There's just not enough choice. Sorry!

Used to be great, but unfortunately no longer recommended... I ate there several times between 2013 and 2019 with my partner (while he was still alive), and we were always very satisfied. The value for money was right, and the food tasted really good, well-seasoned, and of good quality... I had assumed this was the status quo when I recently picked up food there for a work meeting with colleagues. Overall, the food was partly inedible, carelessly prepared, barely seasoned, you couldn't even taste garlic in the tzatziki, if there was any at all. You could tell that everything was of inferior quality. The salad was also terrible, with whole stalks in some places, everything was very coarse, and a sticky, sugary, brownish dressing on top... The value for money is no longer right at all, the portions were really small, which I normally wouldn't have a problem with if the quality were good, but, see above.... NONE of the seven of us liked it. It tasted good; a colleague even said he'd never eaten such a bad gyro in his life, but until about a year ago, he'd often gotten gyro pita to go there, and it was always good. Half an hour after eating, I had severe diarrhea and had to fight off vomiting for the next two and a half hours 🙈... I threw away the chicken skewer that I actually wanted to give to my cats as a precaution... (We had gyros, calamari, the paro plate, chicken skewers with fries and tzatziki, a vegetarian platter, a cold appetizer platter, and florines/grilled peppers filled with feta cheese, which were really delicious, by the way—the only one). The waitresses I'd seen didn't seem familiar to me either. Either it's a completely new crew, the restaurant hasn't changed at all, or at least there must be a new chef who perhaps buys "better," thus more profitably, and improves on quality and They're saving on spices, that's a really huge disappointment. I'll never see that restaurant again!!! The service was good. While we weren't offered a seat during the approximately fifteen-minute wait, we sat down ourselves. However, we were given a bottle of wine with our order. That's a really nice gesture, but it doesn't make up for the money wasted on the terrible food...

Beautiful interior with wooden furniture (Bavarian)! The meat dishes are very tasty and the portions are generous. Con: I personally didn't like the salad with the pre-made sauce, but that's a matter of taste. Right in front of the Karl-Preis-Platz tram stop. Open all day.

Cozy Greek restaurant, as you would imagine. The guest room is wood paneled and rustically furnished. The menu offers a variety of Greek classics. There are also other side dishes that you can order additionally. Tip: The white side beans are great!

The staff was polite and helpful, responding quickly to our orders. I was impressed with their knowledge of the menu and their suggestions. Also, the menu had a wide variety and the dishes were well thought out both in taste and presentation. The ingredients seemed fresh, and I particularly liked the steaks, which were extremely tasty.

Spontaneously returned. Good food, nice service - fits. Prices okay. Personally, I prefer to sit inside even in summer, as the outside area at the intersection can be very noisy.

The food was really delicious, the service was good too, food came quickly. BUT there was no tzatziki with the Poseidon plate with a lot of meat, so we ordered a portion of tzatziki and were charged €7.50 for it...that's a rip-off!!... We actually wanted to come back, but looking at the bill spoiled our appetite for another visit. It's a shame, €7.50 for about 6 tablespoons of tzatziki is not justified!! Above all, it's strange that the Poseidon plate doesn't come with tzatziki from the start and that if you order tzatziki it's so incredibly expensive...

Fantastic food and warm atmosphere! I loved my visit to this Greek restaurant. The food was fresh, authentic and incredibly tasty. The lamb shank in particular was excellently prepared – simply a delight! An obligatory ouzo for us adults and a non-alcoholic version for our little daughter were included on the house! The ambience was cozy and inviting, and the Greek music in the background created a great atmosphere. The service was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I can only warmly recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit! Our voucher from the BMY book was taken into account without any problems.

The food is very good. I like going to Poseidon because - unlike many other Greek restaurants - they also have vegetarian main dishes. However, it is completely incomprehensible that a vegetarian dish does not include salad. The price difference between vegetarian and meat dishes is very small. Baked mushrooms without salad cost 15 euros. For this price there should be a salad. Many meat dishes are served WITH salad for only 3 euros more. This is incomprehensible and should urgently be changed.

Food was good. The service was careful and attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is easy to reach by public transport. Here you can have the delicious ouzo before your meal. (Unfortunately this is often already being saved in some restaurants today). We had a lovely evening and will definitely be back soon.

The shop is fantastic and the staff happy and very friendly. In relation to price quality, there is no debate, good prices, large portions and excellent food quality. We came to Munich and we have been coming here continuously for five days.

Excellent dishes, inspired by the Greek culture and mentality but which have been exceptionally combined with German touches. All this contributes to an excellent result both in terms of the atmosphere and the taste of the dishes. Also the staff was indescribably friendly but within professional contexts.

Nice Greek restaurant. On the way north we pulled off the highway briefly and had lunch here. It tasted excellent and the price-performance ratio was surprisingly good. Highly recommended.
