We love coming here again and again, as we consider this Greek restaurant to be one of the best in Munich. The food is always fresh, delicious, and typically Greek, simply authentic. The service is friendly and attentive, making you feel at home right away. The atmosphere is also pleasant and relaxed, allowing you to thoroughly enjoy the evening here. Definitely one of our favorite spots in the city.

I had an enjoyable meal here. The outdoor seating was great — comfortable tables under big umbrellas that made it easy to enjoy the nice weather. I ordered the chicken skewers with grilled vegetables and some pita, and everything was really delicious and well-prepared. To drink, I had an Apérol Spritz and later a beer, which made the whole experience feel very relaxing and easygoing. The only downside was the service: the waiter seemed dismissive, almost rolling his eyes when I ordered, which made me feel like I was bothering him just for asking for something. That was disappointing — since attentive service is part of the experience — but in the end it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the meal itself.

Kitchen is so slow that it destroys the general impression. Kudos to the waiters; they’re literally running around the venue and trying to make guests happy. Food is good, but be ready to wait 40 minutes for a dish, and 20 for bread.

I highly recommend this place! We discovered it by chance and were very pleased. The atmosphere created by the Elia team was particularly impressive, as were the food and drinks!

A large Greek restaurant in Schwabing. Great outdoor seating, where you really have room and are comfortable. Unfortunately, the waiter quickly overlooks you. The menu is classic, but the quality and taste aren't memorable.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the negative comments regarding the pricing policy. To be on the safe side... Yes, eating out has become more expensive. BUT the price-performance ratio is unfortunately no longer there. Main courses (comprehensive portions) without side dishes... which you then have to order separately... depending on what you order, they vary between 5.90 (fries) and 7.90 (vegetables). Bread is also charged at 3.00/3.50 with garlic. Conclusion: For a main course that will fill you up somewhat, almost 40.00 for ONE main course is not justified for this restaurant. Starters: Beetroot salad for almost 10.00 is also not reasonable. I still wish you all the best, but we won't be visiting this restaurant again. Addition to the owner's reply: Lamb chop 29.50 Grilled vegetables 7.90 (side dish) Oven-baked potato (side dish) Total price 43.30 Receipts are welcome, as requested. Sincerely

We're regulars at Élia and have even hosted company parties here. For us, it's the best Greek restaurant in Munich. Not only is the food simply outstanding, but also the incredible hospitality that you experience with every visit. We can recommend Élia to anyone who wants to bring Greece to Munich ♥️

Main courses are served without side dishes and are therefore overpriced. The staff was also overwhelmed.

Very delicious, authentic Greek food! A huge selection of appetizers (mezes), meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes. There are also many oven-baked/pot-baked dishes (mageireuta). The selection of Greek wines is particularly good. I recommend the Elia Spritz with ginger and rosemary! The desserts taste like something from a Greek pastry shop. The staff is very polite and always helpful. Whether with children or with friends or colleagues, you can only enjoy the food and atmosphere 😊

We were very disappointed with this restaurant. Despite the very modern decor and pleasant ambiance, we were very disappointed with the food. Not that the food was bad, but the portions weren't appropriate for the price, even in Munich. This was the first restaurant where they didn't offer bread with the hummus or the farmer's salad. They also skimped on a side dish for my son's main course. When we asked about it, we were coldly told, in a disappointed voice, that it was just the way it was. The vegetables were fried and not grilled like we know and love from Greek restaurants. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend it.

Very good Greek restaurant that I can highly recommend.

Great Greek food and friendly service We visited this Greek restaurant last week and felt completely at home. The souvlaki was truly delicious – tender, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The appetizer was also fresh and very flavorful. We were particularly pleased with how friendly the staff was – not only to us, but also to our child. We felt truly welcome. The atmosphere was relaxed and informal. Overall, a very nice evening – we had a lot of fun and would love to come back!

€70 for an appetizer, two drinks, a gyro (without any side dishes), and a meat selection (also without side dishes). The food was mediocre, rather disappointing for the price, and the portions were small. The appetizer plate cost just under €19 and included a few pieces of vegetables, a mushroom, and about 50-70 grams of cheese – it tasted okay, but not for the price. We waited over an hour for the main course, even though we had asked in advance and were promised 20-30 minutes (we were there at 3:30 p.m., and it wasn't busy either!). When you sit outside, your food is infested with a whole swarm of flies. The poor lady was sitting and eating in the corner of the courtyard, suffering from the flies. She was probably shy about saying anything, and the waiters quickly turned away when they looked at her and didn't offer her a seat inside. Looking after guests is also part of the restaurant's job! Overall, we didn't like it here and we won't be coming back.

Elia – in English, the olive! Even though the name suggests simplicity, there are truly special dishes here that can be described as authentically Greek. Here, the stomach and the eye will be satisfied! Just looking at the food will whet your appetite, and rightly so: the dishes are prepared with great care and attention – ultimately, they're meant to not only taste good, but also to strengthen and be good for your stomach and your health. Because for Greeks, food isn't just food; it's akin to a ritual. Enjoy!

It's a shame – this used to be a great Greek restaurant in Schwabing. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed – not only with the food, but also with the service (some of it was friendly, but the young lady was unfortunately very rude and irritable). However, the seating is very pleasant, which is a huge plus. The presentation is also great, with beautiful dishes, etc. The cold appetizer platter is really enough for two people. We won't be coming back in the future, though, because unfortunately, you get the feeling you're not welcome. You can just tell – when the manager isn't there, nothing happens.

Absolutely disappointing – never again! I went to this Greek restaurant with my girlfriend, and we were truly shocked by the service. After we finished our meal, we sat at the table with empty glasses for over half an hour – no server showed up or asked if we wanted anything else. The highlight came when we paid: Instead of showing us the bill, they simply listed what we had consumed and then quoted us an amount – €71 – without even allowing us to see the bill. Because that initially sounded plausible, we didn't question it any further and paid €75, generously rounding up for the service. Only later, when we asked for the service receipt, did we realize: The actual bill was €64! So the waiter had "pocketed" a tip of €11 without telling us or even showing us an actual bill. I've never experienced such brazen behavior. Not only was the service poor, but the payment was also deceitful. This was definitely our last visit there.

We had mixed warm appetizers, squid, and a zander. Everything was excellent, the service was exceptionally fast and polite, and the seating was so pleasant. A little gem in Schwabing.

I have to downgrade my 5 stars from the early days to a still solid 4 stars. The food has become noticeably more "mainstream" and is simply not as well prepared and simplified. Overall, however, the service has improved. The ambiance is completely un-Greek but very tasteful. It's a shame that when making a birthday reservation, not the slightest deviation from the standard setting is made. I find it sad that no one even congratulates the birthday child...that costs nothing except a smile and a few kind words. The prices are clearly on the high side. Overall, therefore, it's still a clear recommendation, but with a tendency to rush through.

We were there yesterday and were absolutely thrilled to have been able to book a table at short notice by phone. The menu was appealing, the service was friendly, and the wait for our order was relatively short. The food was really good and plentiful; we couldn't even finish it all. We would definitely go back if we lived in Munich.

The starter platter was tasty, but the portion size was totally inadequate (also compared to Kalypso, Paros, Melina etc.). The same applies to side dishes. But they charge market prices.

The restaurant serves delicious food, though the wait time can be a bit long. It's crowded on Saturdays, so reservations are a must. The staff is very friendly.

Wir kamen ohne Reservierung und wurden freundlich empfangen, es gab Plätze für uns. Wir waren unter der Woche, alles kein Problem. Wir hatten dann eine Vorspeisenplatte, wirklich alles ganz solide aber nichts außergewöhnliches. Die Hauptgerichte auch - Beilagen mussten extra dazu bestellt werden, was sich dann auch preislich bemerkbar gemacht hat. Die Weinempfehlung hat gut dazu gepasst. Leider war der Service dann mit Abräumen der Teller beendet. Wir wurden nicht mehr gefragt, ob wir noch was trinken wollen. Auch den umliegenden Tischen ging es so, auch die wurden ignoriert. Bezahlen konnten wir dann auch nur, weil der Nachbartisch sich lautstark bemerkbar machte. Es war übrigens noch nicht mal 21:00 Uhr und das Lokal nicht mal halb voll... Schade. Angesichts der großen und ebenso guten griechischen Konkurrenz in München kein Grund, nochmal hinzugehen.

We visited the well-designed restaurant with 7 people, knowing that the prices were a bit high and that we could expect a corresponding standard. The prices for main courses, on the menu, which is not very diverse and clear for a Greek, range between 24 and 30 euros, but the portions are rather small. I was unpleasantly surprised that all of the dishes came without side dishes. These are charged extra and cost another €6-8. In fact, you pay €30+ for a main course. For this price I was expecting something special, and what I received: The meat was consistently dry in all dishes; what was prepared with minced meat seemed almost dried out. The only thing that was worse was the grilled vegetables, which had no taste, were dry and partly burnt. Overall, everything was prepared rather carelessly. After all, when asked, everything ordered was served by the friendly waitress, even if not at the expected time. None of the seven of us received their main course at the same time as the side dish, some had the side dish first, the others had the main course first - I would have expected that the entire table that ordered at the same time would also be served at the same time at this price level, but the food came spread out over 45 minutes (!) Together we had two starters, a few pita breads, of course also charged extra, seven main courses with a side dish each, only soft drinks and in the end a bill of almost €350 when we left the restaurant, most of us still hungry.

The four of us were at Elia yesterday. Our waiter was the best. He was always there without being intrusive. His wine recommendation was also great. Everyone enjoyed the food and the portions were large enough. Only the music was a bit too loud, so like almost everywhere in Munich you had to talk very loudly. We'd love to come back.

From the time we arrived until we left the restaurant, the service was very attentive. The food is delicious and you can taste the good quality of the ingredients. Nice ambience and nice location. We will definitely go back soon.

Even though it was a Saturday evening and we didn't make a reservation, we were warmly welcomed and found a nice seat. The food was very fresh and tasty and well seasoned. We had baby calamari with salad and beetroot and two types of chicken with mustard sauce and potatoes. The portion size was right for us, we weren't that hungry either, if you're really hungry the portions might be a little too small. The service was friendly and attentive. Everyone in the family helped out so that the food was served at the same time. The espresso tasted good and there was also ouzo on the house. Another positive thing I noticed was that there were fresh flowers on the tables and in the toilet. The atmosphere in the evening was pleasant, all in all a nice evening. Thank you, Elijah.

Best gyros, super nice staff, we'll definitely be back!!

A pesar de la reserva previa de una mesa días antes no había mesa libre cuando llegamos allí a tiempo y tuvimos que esperar bastante tiempo hasta que uno se liberó. Entonces resultó que una de las comidas seleccionadas del menú no estaba disponible, pero alrededor de 20 minutos DESPUÉS de nuestro pedido. Después de volver a decidir sobre un plato, esperando de nuevo la comida. Cuando llegó, gran decepción. Las verduras estaban remojadas en aceite, el giroscopio no era bueno, cada vendedor ambulante habría tenido mejor calidad a un precio mucho más barato. Los precios de todo son bastante altos y no se pueden justificar por la calidad. Como excusa para todo el tiempo de espera que pasamos al menos habríamos esperado un ouzo en la casa como "excusa", pero nada.

It's quite simple, even if I come to the restaurant and drink a coffee all evening, they don't have the right to decide about my wallet and type as they see fit. It's simply a rip-off and it's not possible to take the guests for a fool and not keep their agreements. I would also thank you if I were €400 plus. It's a shame but I will never enter your restaurant again! DANGER!!!! For anyone planning a larger reservation, please read through!!! A very nice and nice restaurant with very attentive staff, unfortunately the wishes of the guests are not taken into account. I discussed a clear menu with the waiter and he changed everything without my knowledge and ended up charging me a good 400 euros more. When I asked him about it, he just told me it was a Saturday evening and he had calculated about 50 euros per person, we were 15 adults and 3 children and after a rich starter as discussed (which was also discussed) we agreed that he would Brings 6-8 grill plates. My family and friends will never enter this store again even though it was actually a very nice evening. But what he did is very borderline and you could sometimes call it fraud. SO BE CAREFUL WITH LARGER GROUPS, ESPECIALLY RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!!

It was mediocre - as is unfortunately the case with so many restaurants these days. Unfortunately, price/performance isn't really good. I find almost €18 for a not very good, dry gyro with a bit of tzatziki and a few fries rather outrageous. The cold starter plate for €17 only consisted of some mashed things and sauces - but without bread. Tastes good, but actually not edible without a spoon. Service was mediocre. Not unfriendly, but not really attentive either. But too bad for the price range.

Best Greek food that I have ever had. We shared a Saganaki starter. We had a Duet of Scampi & Salmon main. Also a Moussaka main. Portions are adequate not huge. See pics of receipt & menu for pricing. Pricing was fair considering the high quality. We will most certainly return & I will most certainly order the Duet again. The only negative was that we were sitting ignored for 20 mins, as we watched people that arrived after us getting drinks & food. We finally flagged down a waiter to ask if he could take our order. Service was perfect after that. I would say that you should book ahead.

Food acceptable but not a highlight, fish duet only one shrimp. Gerolsteiner water for over 7 euros comes open at the table and based on the taste, I wouldn't swear that it's not tap water!!!

Obviously new menu, gyros over 17 euros. 3 people eat moderately, drink moderately, well over 100 euros. Long waiting time, almost 1 hour for 2 x starters. Service is no longer as friendly and accommodating as I actually know it to be. Only after a big tip, friendlier. No longer recommended, such a shame.

Greek feeling under the olive trees: when it's summer in Germany and you can still sit outside at 20 degrees and the kitchen is also working to produce delicious food, the waiters are quick and friendly - what more could you want (sea?? ? Fast service, delicious food but a bit noisy.

As we sat in our corner seat, wine glasses were set up behind us during the meal. This means that one person in our group who was sitting on the bench constantly had a waiter behind him who was setting up individual glasses on the shelf of the bench back. We are talking about 5 cm distance here. The person was then no longer able to lean on the bench, otherwise the glasses would have fallen over. In addition to being impudent, this also poses a risk of injury. After we had finished eating, we immediately cleared away and asked if we wanted to order anything else or if we would finally like the bill. At this point we had been there for about 45 to 60 minutes and had a starter and a main course each. But with a small baby. Maybe the baby was the problem.

I visited on a Monday night. I went with a local friend and he ordered two meat dishes, although I don't know exactly what was on the menu, and both the skewers and other meat dishes were delicious. The salad and French fries that came with it were also delicious. I think it's a good restaurant for dinner because the prices aren't too expensive.

We visit the restaurant regularly, the occupancy is usually high, we recommend a reservation, especially if there are more than 2 people. In the summer it's nice to sit outside on the side street. The price level is typically high for the location. The quality of the service and, above all, the food is appropriate. What's positive is the nice selection of truly typical Greek dishes in addition to gyros and the like. My personal favorite there is "Stifado", and the grilled octopus and grilled vegetables are also highly recommended.

Modern furnishings, but in terms of taste nothing that reached us or would have reached us on a second visit. The mixed warm/cold starter platter for just under €30 was unfortunately unconvincing in terms of taste apart from the buffer and the price was exorbitant. I like to spend money on food and I don't look at the price, but it should also taste good and have a typical local taste, which unfortunately the four of us didn't experience throughout the evening.

Service and food were of the usual quality except for a chicken skewer that was a bit firm and dry. The assigned table was too narrow for 5 people, so enjoyment of the meal was very limited.

Went there for dinner on a holiday evening. Ambiance appropriate for neighborhood. Long waiting time (three quarters of an hour) after ordering food, even though the restaurant wasn't full. Friendly service. Souvlaki was well seasoned, but the meat was unfortunately stringy/flaxy. Salad fresh and crunchy. The filling side dish (potato) was too little. The brand of ouzo served was not mine, or not for good friends.

Wir waren schon oft da und nun zum zweiten Mal enttäuscht. Das Essen war leider nicht gut. Das Gyros trocken und kalt. Tsatsiki geschmacklos, Pommes matschig und ungesalzen. Schade, wir kamen früher immer sehr gerne hierher.

Super griechisches Essen in netter Arthmosphere. Große Auswahl an Speisen.

Diesen Ort mag ich gerne Früher auch zu mittags Zeiten geöffnet bin ich hier desöfteren hingegangen.Nun nach langer Zeit wieder mal abends dort.Schön gefüllt gute Atmosphäre und freundlich schneller Service. Das Essen nach wie vor sehr anständig und vor allem Preis Leistung stimmt ! Sehr nette Chefin ;-)
