Kalogria in Berlin

So, we went to eat at his place for the first time yesterday. It was sensational. A wonderful, open-minded family business that still welcomes its guests with love. We didn't have a table reservation, the restaurant was full, and after half an hour and a small glass of ouzo, we were seated. We ordered king prawns in wine sauce and a lamb fillet skewer, along with a bottle of Thema wine. When the food was served and we put the first bite in our mouths, it happened. One flavor explosion after another. We tried each other's food and would have loved to order two of everything. It was amazing. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening that will remain unforgettable for us.

My girlfriend and I decided to go out for dinner before going to the cinema, and this time we had Greek food. It was a very nice, cozy restaurant. We received a friendly welcome. We were able to choose a table. We had enough time to select our drinks and food. What I really liked was the small, fine menu. The food was delicious and very large. I really had to struggle with my plate 😂😉. Next time I'll skip the starter. The owners served us very nicely. We would definitely go back.

We dined at the Kalogria Restaurant on a beautiful summer evening. After a varied appetizer platter, we had the mixed grill. We were accompanied throughout the evening by very attentive service! We'd love to come back!

Was there again after a long time. The food was so-so and the manager was very unfriendly! And overwhelmed, except for her regulars. I had to wait at least 15 minutes until we could order drinks. The regulars were given priority. I'm now looking for another Greek restaurant.

We went for dinner with my in-laws and we loved it. It's super clean, they have a large terrace, the bathrooms are super clean, and the food is spectacular. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large. They serve you delicious garlic bread as a starter, courtesy of the house. They're very attentive to their guests. And at the end, they even offer you a shot, just like in the old days. We'll be back! It's very cozy, both inside and out, and the staff is extremely friendly. They're pretty quick with taking orders and delivering the food. It was a great success.

We had gyros with metaxa sauce, and it was delicious. The couple who own the restaurant are super friendly; we sat together in the evening and chatted a bit. The food, service, and atmosphere—everything was great. I can highly recommend it! We'll be back.

Very delicious food! We had a mix of hot and cold starters with spicy garlic bread, and for main courses, we had grilled baby calamari, grilled stuffed calamari, grilled lamb fillet skewers, and chicken breast salad. Service was friendly and quick, and sitting outside in this weather was also very nice.

I have been visiting the restaurant for over 30 years. The price-performance ratio of the dishes and the service is very good. Special requests are also fulfilled. It's always very clean. One of the restaurants where you also have to praise the kitchen for its cleanliness. Conclusion: Very nice service. You feel like you're on holiday when it comes to food. Recommended at any time!

If you're looking for a true feast of Greek flavours in Berlin, this restaurant is absolutely a must visit! Delicious food, fresh ingredients and authentic flavours that transport you straight to the Greek island. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is really warm and cozy. I highly recommend the souvlaki, spanakopita and gyros, oh and I really enjoyed fassolosalata (btw. tzatziki with bread is my love). You know the food is amazing, when you're planning next trip to Berlin just to taste it again. For me, Kalogria is an absolute gem!

We have been regular guests at this cozy restaurant for many years and often meet friends and family there. The food is always delicious and the portions are generous, so we often take something to take home with us. The warm and always loving care of Gregorios, Anna and Svetlana always makes us feel like we are guests of good friends. We went to Kalogria again at the weekend. Of course we reserved in advance and got a great table. It was wonderful temperatures and just right to enjoy a great evening with the friendly Greeks. The staff swarmed us and we quickly had the menu and a little later a drink each. Then came the choice between delicious and even tastier... the boss helped us with this choice and offered us a few more delicacies from the daily menu. We found what we were looking for and after a short while we each had a delicious meal in front of us. With the salad plate and the delicious dish we had previously served, we were more than full. The plates were well filled and, as always, delicious. We ate like Greek gods and were also given a final drink. As always, we were very satisfied and will be back.

It was very nice in Kalogria - a little Mediterranean break. We were immediately welcomed, were served pleasantly and personally, small special requests were no problem. The quality of the food is consistently high. Priced a little higher, but reasonable. We'd love to come back 🤓

I regularly go to Kalogria with friends. This gives me the guarantee that the evening will be beautiful. Tasty food, also for vegetarians and vegans, great wine and extremely nice staff. The ambience is also great. You feel a little like you're on holiday in Greece. I'm already looking forward to the next visit!

It is always a great experience for me and my guests to be able to visit this restaurant. The service and the boss are excellent and charming hosts, the food is fantastic, the specially selected wines and other drinks are always at the right temperature and super tasty. A stay in this restaurant is worth every cent and an absolute highlight, without any ifs and buts and to be recommended with the best of conscience. But I don't actually want to advertise too much so that I can continue to spend magical evenings with my guests, with culinary highlights in this great atmosphere and the wonderful hosts may.

The Kalogria restaurant has been part of Tegel, like its lake, for years. And the quality was and is good. There is no doubt about that. But that day confirmed how bad and unfriendly service can have a negative impact on a restaurant visit: There were three of us, I ordered lamb with noodle rice. The taste was good, but four small mini pieces and a ladle of pasta rice with a small dollop of tzatziki were really very little for me for 22 euros. When the waitress asked if everything was okay, I responded with "unfortunately it was a bit manageable" and my fellow guests added "that felt less than before". The waitress' reaction was absolutely disrespectful, without any insight and shockingly loud and dismissive. The change ended up being slapped on the table. The bad thing is that friends of ours experienced almost exactly the same thing, a few days before, also with the exact same person. Admittedly, the other colleague was very nice and approachable. But unfortunately that didn't work out in the end. Since I was a restaurateur myself, such behavior is neither "normal" nor professional for me. A calm and friendly criticism should be taken seriously as a tip. Just a shame. And I hope the (very nice) boss, who I've known for years, will take a closer look at this.

I ordered by phone for 2 people and picked it up 30 minutes later. Food came ready exactly when I picked it up (just don't like it when it's ready 5-10 minutes before pick up). I liked the look of the interior and exterior. Hospitably inviting and “simple”. I found the staff to be pleasant. So I'd love to be there soon... We really enjoyed the food.

The chicken wasn't cooked through even when it was fried. Both with my companion and with me. Well, we left then.

Es ist ein völlig normales griechisches Restaurant, das keinerlei Spezialitäten oder überraschendes bietet. Dabei sind die Preise leider unangemessen hoch.

Heute waren wir leider enttäuscht. Wir bestellen regelmäßig bei Kalogria, aber heute kam erst die falsche Bestellung, dann war das Gyros sehr salzig und trocken und das Brot von gestern aufgebacken. Und das bei einem Preisanstieg von 20 %. Echt schade.

Das Essen war sehr lecker gewesen. Als Vorspeise hatte ich den warmen Fetakäse mit Tomaten, Oliven, Paprika, Zwiebeln und Peperoni und alleine das war so gut, dass ich es jeden Tag essen könnte. Auch das Personal war so freundlich gewesen und wir wollen es auch unbedingt unseren Freunden und Familie zeigen.

Leider hatte die Bedienung bei mir einen schlechten Tag, erst hat sie mir das falsche Essen serviert, Besteck und Serviette fehlten. Musste ich mir selber holen. Dann war das Essen auch nicht vielversprechend statt Backkartoffeln bekam ich normale gekochte Kartoffeln. Ich kann es nicht empfehlen auch wenn das Personal sehr nett war.

Ich war gestern das erste Mal in diesem Restaurant essen. Ich war zu einer Weihnachtsfeier eingeladen. Das Essen war der absolute Knaller Börner. Es war super lecker die Bedienung war umsichtig zuvorkommend. Einfach nur super schon lange lange nicht mehr so gut griechisch gegessen sehr empfehlenswert, da es ein sehr mal kleiner Laden ist, würde sich das empfehlen für alle vorab ein Tisch zu reservieren gerade in der kalten Jahreszeit Wirklich vom ganzen Herzen nur weiter zu empfehlen Hallo

Wir hatten einen schönen Abend. Guter Service, gutes Essen, Wein und Ouzo. Alles so, wie es sein soll.

Wir waren das erste mal dort und haben auch nach 30 min Wartezeit einen Tisch bekommen, fand ich sehr nett , da der Laden sehr voll war . Bis wir bestellen durften vergingen locker 40 min, in der Zeit kam keiner zu uns und Frage ob alles okay ist oder man vielleicht was trinken möchte. Wir mussten 1 1/2 Stunden auf unser Essen warten , während der Zeit kam leider auch keiner. Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker muss ich sagen, sehr saftiges Fleisch und auch tolle Beilagen , so wie der kleine Salat. Der Nachtisch war auch super. In der ganzen Zeit fand keine Bedienung statt ! Also der Service bekommt nur einen Stern von mir . Außer der jungen und freundlichen Frau an der Bar , hat sich keiner für uns Interessiert oder mal angelächelt. Sehr sehr schade ! Wir haben über 4 Stunden dort verbracht. Da meinem Mann das Essen sehr gut geschmeckt hat, werden wir wohl dem ganzen noch eine Chance geben . Von einer Seite aus würde ich da nicht nochmal hin, da ich finde das der Service ( Freundlichkeit, Aufmerksamkeit und Bedienung) die Hälfte des Besuches in einem Restaurant ausmacht!

Tolles authentisches griechisches Restaurant mit ebenso toller Bewirtung. Das leckere Essen wurde nur von dem noch besseren Service übertroffen. Wer gerne griechisch isst, sollte hier auf jeden Fall einen Abstecher machen.

Das Essen ist bisher immer sehr gut. Ist richtig griechisch,wie ich es ja auch mag. Hoffe es bleibt so gut, dann kann ich immer mal rein gehen. Was mir zu teuer war, ist der Retsina. Schade, denn der gehört für mich dazu. Die Chefin hat meine Kritik nicht angenommen, meinte, das wären halt Berliner Preise.

Waren heute im Kalogria mit 10 Personen. Bis zur Bestellaufnahme hat es leider, obwohl der Laden nicht sehr voll war, sehr lange gedauert. Leider ist hierbei auch was schief gelaufen, ein Essen wurde vergessen. Ich hatte Gyros. Ich habe schon lange nicht mehr so schlechtes Gyros gegessen. Extrem trocken und teilweise verbrannt (schwarz). Der Service ist unterirdisch und ich kann das Restaurant in keinerlei Weise empfehlen. Achtung: Bargeldlose Zahlung ist nur über die EC/Giro-Karte möglich. —> nicht mehr so sehr zeitgemäß.

Visited once and felt like home . Great food and options to order from. I was also surprised of the Greek eclectic music playing in the restaurant, which made me singing, alongside the selection of Mavrodafne sweet wine which I love. Service was great all in all, but i give 4 stars only because we had to wait longer than expected. Just a small recommendation for adding Tentura as a digestif, coming from the same city as Mavrodafne 😎.

Heute ein erstklassiges Gyros Spezial gegessen, ich kann nur sagen: her-vor-ra-gend! Service wie immer super freundlich, schönen Platz draußen auf der Terrasse gehabt, immer wieder ein Erlebnis. Freuen uns auf den nächsten Restaurantbesuch.

Hier sind wir per Zufall gestrandet. Aufgrund des überaus nassen Wetters konnten wir leider nur drinnen sitzen. Wir haben zwei Mal Giros mit Tsatsiki, Pommes bzw. grünen Bohnen und Beilagensalat bestellt. Sowohl Getränke als auch Essen wurden schnell serviert. Es war ausgesprochen lecker, jedoch etwas zu viel. Wir haben einen kleinen Rest lassen müssen. Die beiden Bedienungen sind nett und aufmerksam, können wir nur weiterempfehlen.

Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft und lecker. Wir wurden sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich bedient. Das Restaurant und die sanitären Einrichtungen sind sehr sauber, der Außenbereich lädt zum verweilen ein und ist sehr schön bepflanzt. Dieses Restaurant kann man nur empfehlen!

Ein gemütliches Restaurant mit einem schönen Außenbereich. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen perfekt getroffen… nicht zu groß und nicht zu klein. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und sind auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)

Kleines, gemütliches Restaurant, toller Außenbereich. Sehr sauber gepflegtes Lokal, Portionen sind in passender Größe und geschmacklich sehr gut abgestimmt. Erinnert auch vom Ambiente, an ein richtiges Restaurant wie in Griechenland. Kommen wieder!!

Gute griechische Küche. Der Salat ist frisch und das Dressing super lecker. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Preise sind der Qualität entsprechend und erschwinglich. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und sauber. Im Ganzen sehr zum empfehlen.

Richtig guter Service. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, einer der besten Griechen hier im Norden. Und was ganz wichtig ist, kein billiger Ouzo sondern ein sehr guter. Sofort wieder.

Das Essen(Gyros-Teller) +Knofibrot waren sehr lecker. Die Bedienung / Service war sehr nett. Das Restaurant, auch die Toiletten !,waren sauber und gepflegt. Die Preise fanden wir angemessen. Wir waren angenehm überrascht und kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder.

Das Personal ist ausgesprochen nett, das Essen schmeckt lecker, der Beilagen-Salat ist ungewöhnlich gut, saftig, auch mit Krautsalat.

Die Bedienung war nett, offen und zuvorkommend. Und die Speicherkarte ist vielseitig. Von Fisch bis Fleisch und kleinen Vorspeisen ist alles dabei. Das alles aber Grischech gehalten. Das Essen war sehr lecker und man wird definitiv satt. Das Ambiente hatte mir persönlich nicht so sehr zu gesagt. Hatte aber nicht gestört.

Das ist ein total liebes Restaurant mit tollem Essen. Ich hab mir danach von Vicky Leandros - Kali Nichta angemacht und den schönen Abend ausklingen lassen.
