Nice location, friendly staff. Worst food in Munich... please change the menu or the chef. Everything tastes like dish soap.

We were very satisfied, including with the way disagreements were handled – excellent! The only thing is, the furniture could be a bit more comfortable. We'd gladly come back.

We celebrated our wedding here with a small group of family and friends, and it was fantastic! Our expectations were absolutely exceeded! Superb service, delicious food, and everything was wonderfully organized and hassle-free :-)

I am surprised that there are so many good reviews. The blond waitress was rude , grumpy, terrible. The man was ok , but nobody ever asked if the dish was good or not . Overpriced for what you get , but location will bring them clients anyway . Save your money.

We were lucky and managed to get a table for four at short notice after calling at 8:45 p.m. The only minor drawback was that it was very loud, but everything else was great.

It was my first ever night in Munich and this restaurant was brilliant. I’m here with work, I arrived late and the staff still managed to serve my food at the same time as everyone else. They regularly checked we had drinks, they were super friendly and they even booked me a taxi at the end of the night. Loved the food and atmosphere. I’d highly recommend.

We, the Association of German Dental Hygienists (VDDH), were able to stay overnight and hold our conference at the Hotel Kaisergarten for our anniversary event and were absolutely thrilled! The conference rooms are modern, flooded with light, and superbly equipped with state-of-the-art technology and everything you need for a successful event. Our culinary well-being was also well catered for: the hot lunch left nothing to be desired; everything was fresh, lovingly prepared, and of the highest quality. The rooms are stylish, very clean, and comfortable. The friendly and attentive staff, who provided us with professional support at all times, deserves special mention. Breakfast and dinner at the RIVA restaurant were also excellent: varied, fresh, and top-quality. The location, right next to the von Winning winery, perfectly rounded off the overall experience, as we held an event there on the second evening. A big thank you to the entire team at the Hotel Kaisergarten, especially Ms. Zitt, who was our contact person for planning last year. We felt completely at home and would love to come back (also for leisure)! Highly recommended for conferences, group events, and connoisseurs alike.

First of all, I have to say that the food is truly excellent! Unfortunately, eating at the Kaisergarten is still not a great experience, as the service is abysmal. First of all, we waited what felt like an eternity to be served... the other guests had the same experience; they eventually got their menus themselves... Plus, the staff stands right next to the guests, smoking (especially nice when you have a baby with you...) and drinking beer and chatting 😳 Even though everyone is waiting! There's only one highchair for the entire restaurant... I completely don't understand why they don't just add more... there were so many families with small children there, all of whom would have needed one. What a shame about the good food!

I happened upon it by chance while passing through one Sunday evening and felt at home from the very first moment. A very cozy, inviting beer garden. The service was very friendly and witty. The food was just what you'd expect. Highly recommended all around.

Leftover roasts should not be served to any guests, or at most only as an encore. Or immediately announce that the food has run out. Soundproofing panels in the ceiling area, either as floating or fixed elements, could provide more peace and quiet.

We visited the Kaisergarten for the first time and tried the classic Kaiserschmarrn. It was delicious, and even without a reservation, we still managed to get a seat, even though the place was quite busy. Unfortunately, the service left a negative impression: Our waiter seemed annoyed, wasn't particularly attentive, and was rather rude when we ordered a drink. It's a shame, because the food was really good.

We've visited the Kaisergarten several times, so we were especially delighted to be able to celebrate our wedding here. It was simply wonderful! The staff, Lisa and Nelson, were incredibly accommodating and took wonderful care of us and our guests. The food was fantastic, as always. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

We had a wonderful evening here. All the staff were very courteous, friendly, and quick. The food was delicious and of high quality. The Wiener schnitzel was superbly prepared, and both the Obazda and the Kaiserschmarren were truly delicious. You sit in a small but very nice and well-kept beer garden—in my opinion, much nicer than sitting in a huge, overcrowded beer garden. We would love to come back!

It seems that the customers are a burden. The attitude with that you get „welcomed“ after twenty minutes of ignorance is out of this world … the food was nice but I had this experience now multiple times… that’s it.

We were in Munich for the first time in a while and were really looking forward to the Kaiserschmarrn at the Kaisergarten. It was supposed to be freshly prepared in the oven in an iron pan and take about 45 minutes. About six minutes after ordering, the Kaiserschmarrn was served to us in a cold pan, barely lukewarm. We assume that the cooking rules, or rather the actual preparation time, were circumvented here with the help of a microwave or something similar, and we received a warmed-up version. It was all very disappointing, as the service and the location were really nice. Will we come back? No.

I can't understand all the raving about a good meal! This was by far the worst veal schnitzel we've ever eaten! It was soggy breading, flaked like a skewer, even though it was veal, and the fried potatoes were dripping in fat. The salad was better, but it was also deliberately drenched in bad truffle oil! Yes, the outdoor dining area is okay! The staff tried hard, but the price/performance ratio wasn't right! All in all, we were disappointed and unfortunately don't understand all the raving about this restaurant.

The food was delicious. But the waiters were very unfriendly, I'd almost say absolutely disgusting. They completely ignored us and didn't even ask if we wanted a second round of drinks. There were six of us there. When we asked if we could pay in cash, they rolled their eyes and left the table in annoyance. Then we waited 10 minutes until someone came back to take the money. I've never tipped a cent before—this was the first time because the disrespectful and unfriendly attitude made me feel so uncomfortable. Never again.

I highly recommend the Kaisergarten! We had a snack board and Kaiserschmarren. Both were absolutely delicious! The location and outdoor area are also absolutely beautiful.

Feasted, drank, chatted & ENJOYED!!! A colorfully mixed snack board to start, followed by schnitzel with cucumber salad, and for my girlfriend, mushrooms with dumplings. We would have loved to try the Kaiserschmarrn from our table neighbors, but we were wonderfully full. Plus delicious drinks, super friendly service (from everyone), and of course the beautiful atmosphere of the garden and the sunshine! In summer, you can enjoy sitting in the beer garden or the Schanigarten. The food is also very fancy, but doesn't always live up to the prices. At €24 for the suckling pig, everything should be fine, but it's a shame when the meat is very flimsy and gristly, and the crust has absolutely no crunch.

It’s a lovely garden seating area but that’s where the good things end. Walked in and seated at 18:30, ordered drinks and a starter, which came around 19:00. No one came to our table again and we left at 20:30, still without eating the main meal.

I went there for lunch with my two daughters and granddaughter. We were completely satisfied. The service was particularly attentive and friendly.

The atmosphere of the coffee house is filled with warmth and coziness. Vintage armchairs, wooden tables, and bookshelves lined with interesting publications create the feeling of visiting an old friend. The friendly staff is always ready to offer something special, and their sincere smiles warm the soul even on the gloomy day.

There was indeed a high chair available. But you had to find one yourself. I even asked beforehand. And I got one. Just like the tip – theoretically, that is. In any case, neither was available at my seat!

Despite having a reservation, we were seated at the kids' table. The service was very hectic and only moderately friendly. At least the food was good. What a shame!

Today will be my last visit with the food. Unfortunately, I've always been disappointed here. It's a nice place to drink, though. Portions tend to be small and prices are high (€25 to €40 for a small main course). Summary: Onion roast beef is very tough, spaetzle is doughy and tasteless, suckling pig lacks a crust, potato dumplings are good, salads are good.

We had a delicious dinner at the Kaisergarten. The food was excellent, the service very friendly and attentive, and the ambiance lovely. I highly recommend it! The regional dishes are all very reasonably priced for what you get. We had the onion roast beef with cheese spaetzle as a side dish. The Badies made the cheese spaetzle particularly creamy!! 🧀 10/10 dinner, and we will definitely be back for the other dishes.

Outside under the trees, with a relaxed and cheerful waiter, we had a very good breakfast. White sausages, avocado bread with bacon, granola, and scrambled eggs—everything was just right and delicious! Thanks for the lovely Sunday.

We had dinner here tonight, but unfortunately it was a disappointment. The asparagus was undercooked, the Hollandaise sauce had clearly been pre-made and served from a CO₂ siphon, resulting in an odd foam-like texture that felt completely off for such a classic sauce. The potatoes were badly burned, almost black. We mentioned all of this to the waiter, but it was brushed aside without any real response or compensation. Very disappointing experience, especially given the expectations.

Food was really delicious and served delicately. We liked that place a lot. We sat outside at the corner but still the staff had full attention on us, it was highly appreciable. We ate at Kaisergarten today and are so happy to have discovered this spot! The location is simply gorgeous – cozy and stylish, with a great atmosphere. The service was also super friendly and made our visit even more enjoyable. We opted for the goat cheese salad and the schnitzel – both dishes were absolutely amazing! So incredibly delicious and perfectly matched. To top it all off, we had the Kaiserschmarren – a dream! We will definitely be back and can highly recommend Kaisergarten. An incredibly beautiful and wonderful location. The service is so friendly and attentive. We treated ourselves to the white sausages and pretzels for breakfast and can highly recommend it. The restaurant's decor is modern and cozy, inviting you to linger. We'd love to come back here again.

Man that kaiserschmarrn.. oufffff!!! The best kaiserschmarrn I tasted in my life! It was soo delicious I would drive again 6 hrs from Düsseldorf just to eat it again. The team was very kind and hard working in harmony. Respect to you guys. Thank you and highly recommended.

Fine bavarian restaurant in Schwabing. The food is good, beer awesome as usual. A bit pricey, but not very distant from the average prices at aby other Wirtshaus.

Very nice location with a little space outside. Luckily we didn't have to wait. The quality/price ratio wasn't the best. But the worst thing was the waiter's very little kindness and the fact that they made us sit down and after 3 minutes they said that the kitchen would be closing any minute. So we had to order in a hurry. In short, I think there is nothing worse for a customer than dining in an inhospitable place.

Sat in the garden. Food (veal plant with wild garlic and potato salad) for €20 quite expensive, but very good. You can really hurt yourself on the wooden benches and tables because the edges are not sanded.

A beautifully designed space, but unfortunately, the rest didn’t quite measure up for us. The veal Wiener Schnitzel at €32 seemed particularly overpriced for what it offered. The menu didn’t impress us either — it was quite limited, with few truly appealing options. On a more positive note, the Kaiserschmarrn, while not the best we’ve had, was actually quite good. We believe that a refreshed menu and more balanced pricing could make this a much better restaurant.

The quality of the food is good, but is disproportionate to the price, especially when it comes to the size of the portions. Pouring beer has to be learned again here (as is unfortunately so often the case in Munich). Even after the foam has slowly settled, it is well below the calibration mark. Unfortunately, the service also leaves a lot to be desired, depending on the operation. The young lady does a good job and managed to bring us the bill after less than 5 minutes. You'll also be happy to pay a good tip. Our actual waitress still hadn't managed it after 20 minutes and actually didn't really care about us at all. There is a better way to do this, especially at prices like these.

It was worth getting out of the hustle of town to go to this suburban German restaurant. It was nestled in a lovely little traditional enclave, 10 minutes from Marienplatz. Boris, our host, made us feel very welcome.

Heute war ich mit meinen Töchtern im Kaisergarten – leider ein enttäuschendes Erlebnis. Bereits zu Beginn wurden wir vom Kellner (mit schwarzer Cap) äußerst unfreundlich empfangen. Ich hoffte zunächst, dass sich die Stimmung bessern würde, doch leider wurde sein Verhalten im Laufe des Besuchs noch unfreundlicher – und das nicht nur im Beisein meiner Kinder, sondern auch vor anderen Gästen. Eigentlich hätte ich das Restaurant in diesem Moment verlassen sollen, aber da es der ausdrückliche Wunsch meiner kleinen Tochter war, hier einmal zu essen, blieb ich der Kinder zuliebe. Positiv hervorheben möchte ich die beiden Kellnerinnen, die sich bemüht und stets freundlich geblieben sind. Leider wurde der Gesamteindruck durch das Verhalten ihres Kollegen stark getrübt. Sehr schade, dass ein schöner Sonntag so begonnen hat. Ich kann dieses Restaurant daher leider nicht weiterempfehlen – besonders nicht an Familien mit Kindern. Freundlichkeit und ein respektvoller Umgang sollten in der Gastronomie selbstverständlich sein.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend im Kaisergarten und können das Lokal nur wärmstens empfehlen! Schon beim Betreten wurden wir herzlich empfangen und haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich, stilvoll und typisch bayerisch – perfekt für einen genussvollen Abend. Zum Essen: Der Obazda war cremig, würzig und mit frischen Brezen einfach ein Traum. Dazu ein Aperol Spritz, perfekt gemixt und herrlich erfrischend. Als krönenden Abschluss haben wir den Kaiserschmarrn bestellt – eine absolute Empfehlung! Fluffig, goldbraun gebacken, mit köstlichem Zwetschgenröster und Puderzucker bestäubt – einfach himmlisch. Der Service war ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Hier wird Gastfreundschaft großgeschrieben! Fazit: Wer erstklassige bayerische Küche in entspannter Atmosphäre genießen möchte, ist im Kaisergarten genau richtig. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Our visit to the Kaisergarten was perfect all around! From the very first minute, we felt at home – the ambiance is charming, stylish, and inviting. Here, Bavarian hospitality meets excellent cuisine. We started with an Obazda (traditional Bavarian sausage), which was wonderfully creamy and spicy – ​​simply delicious with the fresh pretzels. This was accompanied by an Aperol Spritz, which had just the right balance of sweet and tangy. The highlight, however, was the Kaiserschmarrn: airy, golden-brown caramelized, and served with plum compote – a true dream! The service also left nothing to be desired: friendly, attentive, and always there at the right time. In short: A great restaurant for anyone who wants to enjoy Bavarian specialties in a relaxed atmosphere.

Just had drinks/ lunch with my 3 girlfriends there. Arriving around 13:45. The google review seems to be good however it came to be the worst experience in Schwabing. Highly not recommend to come here. The lady who has the long hair with glasses, around 30, very unprofessional and unfriendly. I was so nice to ask her for a 5€ change like (2-2-1) for my parking outside since i still had my half drink, then she said “I don’t have any coins, the whole restaurant, if you want you have to wait for the next shift to come which is a couple hours later”. My friends and I were shocked by “the whole restaurant don’t have coins” statement. When I paid, the bill was 15.60€, she tried to give me the change from a hundred but then she said, “I don’t have cents to change for you”. I didn’t feel like being forced to give her tips, then I said “I will pay by card then”. She said, “it’s not my job to change for people, you can write whatever review you want on internet ” other than the slow unattended service, this unfriendly workers should not be out there. The google reviews overall are not matching the service scores. My friends and I decided we would never come again. My husband was born and grow up in Munich, he was simple said “Why would u go there ?!!!” Bad, the worst. Because of the location, they got people, but no good and nice service ?! Let’s see

Acabo de tomar unas copas / almuerzo con mis 3 novias allí. Llegando alrededor de las 13: 45 . La revisión de google parece ser buena, sin embargo, llegó a ser la peor experiencia en Schwabing. No recomiendo venir aquí. La señora que tiene el pelo largo con gafas, alrededor de los 30 , muy poco profesional y antipática. Tuve la amabilidad de pedirle un cambio de 5 € como (2 - 2 - 1 ) para mi estacionamiento afuera ya que todavía tenía mi medio trago, entonces ella dijo “No tengo ninguna moneda, todo el restaurante, si quieres tienes que esperar a que llegue el siguiente turno que es un par de horas después”. Mis amigos y yo quedamos impactados por la declaración de “todo el restaurante no tiene monedas”. Cuando pagué, la cuenta era de 15. 60 €, ella intentó darme el cambio de cien pero luego me dijo: “No tengo céntimos que cambiar por ti”. No tenía ganas de que me obligaran a darle propinas, entonces le dije “pagaré con tarjeta entonces”. Ella dijo, “no es mi trabajo cambiar para la gente, puedes escribir cualquier opinión que quieras en Internet” aparte del lento servicio desatendido, estos trabajadores antipáticos no deberían estar ahí fuera. Las valoraciones generales de google no coinciden con las puntuaciones del servicio.

I would like to express my disappointment with our recent visit to this restaurant. Despite prior clear communication and the express request for individual à la carte orders, we were again only offered a 3-course menu. Our emails went unanswered, which suggests a lack of customer focus. This restaurant is therefore not recommended for groups that value flexibility and individual orders.

Nice place in a non-touristy neighborhood where we often have brunch. In spring/summer it is best with the external dehor. The waiters are almost always friendly, sometimes the high number of customers doesn't allow them the usual attention, but it's okay.

I've been to this restaurant three weeks in a row and each time I've ordered the Kaiserschmarrn portion for three people. I was thrilled the first two times - the Kaiserschmarrn was fresh, hot and tasted excellent. But my last visit was a disappointment. The Kaiserschmarrn arrived only lukewarm and tasted completely different than before. I suspect it wasn't freshly made this time, although the restaurant emphasizes that larger portions are always made fresh and therefore take 45 minutes. A clear indication: in the first two weeks the powdered sugar melted due to the heat of the Schmarrn - this time it remained unchanged. This fluctuation in quality is disappointing for me, as I had already chosen the restaurant as my regular visit for my favorite dessert. If the quality was consistently as high as it was in the first two weeks, I would come back regularly. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously, because my intention is not to keep guests away, but rather to promote consistently high quality.

"Oh, you're the ones with all the kiddies" was the greeting when we showed up for our reservation, which included one (!) child. The second sentence was “But you have to be gone again in 2 hours, because we are expecting a slightly larger group.” A “Welcome” or “Hello” would of course have been nicer. My companion and I were once rejected very harshly and in monosyllables when we showed up on a Saturday evening without a reservation. In general, you get the feeling that regular Schwabing customers are welcome, but anyone who gives the impression of a newcomer - or worse, a tourist - is treated curtly and condescendingly.

Been there again for many years and never before in winter. So basically a new experience: A little cool inside. No special lunch menu, but a small daily menu, roughly the same price as the menu. The service was initially attentive and responsive to each guest. When it was full later it was more of a challenge. My choice from the menu was tasty, although 'clear'. For me, prices and quantities don't match well, especially at lunchtime.

Unfortunately there is no real lunch menu, just a day menu. The prices on the day menu vary from just under €10 for a soup to €26.50 for a roast wild boar and you cannot find the day menu online either. Unfortunately there were no typical Bavarian dishes like goulash with bread dumplings or something similar. In addition, the outside door was open the whole time and most guests sat in the drafty interior wearing jackets or coats. The food was really nicely prepared, but the portions were far too small. In any case, I was still hungry afterwards. I praise the Hofbräu am Oberwiesenfeld and the Görreshof.

We had a really tasty meal. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the service is very friendly and competent. I had fried chicken with mashed potatoes and fried onions.
