Today we were very rudely asked by a female waiter to sit at a table next to us that was reserved from 6 p.m. Our table was reserved as of 5:30 p.m., even though we had been sitting there for a long time. Since when can a table be reserved if guests are already sitting there eating and drinking? The Jagdschlössl can no longer be recommended.

Origes restaurant, we were a large group of people, the first one had already eaten before the last ones had gotten their meal. Unfortunately, some people's food was lukewarm.

Fantastic, rustic, typically Bavarian, super tasty, wonderful service staff in the best dress. This is exactly how we Brandenburgers imagined Bavarian gastronomy to be 🥰 Many greetings and many thanks for your hospitality!

I've been there 3 times in the last 3 weeks and, among other things, I ordered Keiserschmarrn each time. Strangely enough, the quality has deteriorated significantly each time. 1st time: Very good, with lots of almonds, fruits etc. 2nd time: Good, less almonds and fruit than the first time. 3rd time: Not so good anymore, there were no more almonds in it and almost no fruit, just tiny pieces. Such a rapid loss of quality is strange, maybe it's different cooks every time? Then there should still be internal guidelines as to how the preparation should be so that it is not different every time, as the last time was very disappointing.

The service doesn't work at all!! We asked for a menu and the answer we got from a male waiter (brown hair, glasses) was “it’s only available from 12 onwards”. Strangely, a neighboring table received one from a waitress 5 minutes later. 🤔 He was just super unfriendly, we noticed that he was deliberately ignoring us. Actually, none at all. Worth a star. However, the ambience and especially the white sausage were great 👍🏼👍🏼.

We found this traditional beer garden by chance on the way from the subway to the hotel. A wonderfully classic beer garden with good Bavarian cuisine. Wonderful ambience, top service - here the boss advises and serves himself. Excellent price/performance ratio. My wife had Jägerschnitzel, I chose the suggested "Bauern-Cordon Bleu" (stuffed minced meat, fried in breading). My wife didn't see the plate because of all the schnitzel and cream sauce. She was thrilled. My dish was also completely satisfying. Both dishes were under €16 - in Munich. We'll be back, even if it's just for the final beer.

We went to the Jagdschlössel for the first time today and were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant. Unfortunately I can't remember the exact name of our waitress, I think Regia served us courteously. Gladly again.

We love our hunting lodge, but the service Susanne doesn't work at all. They've been regular guests for years, but their behavior is truly beneath dignity. Rude, condescending and arrogant. Otherwise the hunting lodge is great. Atmosphere, cosiness and neighborhood. With the rating we just want to draw attention to the fact that some operators ruin it. There are also very great waitresses like Toni, Olli and Peter. They try really hard but others destroy it.

There was nice service, there was a small error in the order, but it was corrected. Nice beer garden. Food came quickly and tasted good.

From a horrible reception, derogatory comments to rolled eyes, you really showed us! Did you notice how unpleasant you were to all the tables? Great original Munich restaurant. The food is very good and the service is very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is accessible to the public and there is also one or two parking spaces nearby.

Beer from wooden barrels Monday to Wednesday from 5 p.m. I wouldn't go there before because there are a lot of long-time regulars who eat well. Only sometimes there are moody waitresses...

We were on holiday in the Jagdschlössl for the third time in a row. We can definitely recommend the hotel. We always feel like we are in good hands and pampered in this family-run hotel. The ambience is to die for and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. The owners also give you the feeling of sitting in their living room 😉. The rooms and premises are always clean and tidy. The feel-good oasis and the wellness area are also highly recommended 🫶🏻. A big compliment also to the kitchen for the fantastic food. We would like to thank the Lackner family and their team for the great vacation, we will definitely see each other again 😊. Holler family

Always the best. My favorite German restaurant. It has never disappointed me. The only thing is that sometimes it is a little difficult to understand the menu, as it is written in Bavarian.

It was my first time in the beer garden there. The beer garden is quite comfortable even in bad weather because it is covered or even enclosed. The staff was friendly and the drinks were delivered promptly. I can't comment on the food. The toilets were clean and tidy. All in all, a cozy Augustinian restaurant to sit inside or outside, recommended.

We came here by coincidence and I am glad we did. Sat outside in the little Biergarten since the weather was perfect for it. We got a table quickly. Menu had some great options. I can very highly recommend the "Schwabenteller" which came with a big amount of Käsespätzle. Absolutely delicious Bavarian food at very fair prices. Will definitely be back!

Yesterday we were in the garden of the hunting lodge at Rotkreuzplatz, protectively surrounded by a beech hedge. We ate roasted dumplings and a whole pork knuckle with a delicious crust all around, a potato dumpling and a delicious coleslaw. Accompanied by a delicious non-alcoholic AUGUSTINER beer! And what was really exorbitant: the lovely waitress, who fulfilled all of our requests with a smile! We felt really comfortable! Thanks. Thanks!!

It was more of a neighborhood cafe. Good asparagus in Sauce Hollandaise with good ham. The Schnitzel nach Wiener Art was less than expected and the fries were limp.

Ordered lumberjack steak with fried potatoes and no onions. It was served soaked in fried onions. Complaint, then the request expressed for the second time was quickly dealt with and served. I actually like to be a guest here when I'm in town. On the last two visits I left after 15 minutes each time. The service staff is mainly busy with themselves. Despite a hand signal, I was ignored and it was simply not possible to order. It almost gives the impression that guests are being actively ignored. A maximum of a quarter of the seats were occupied and at least four service staff were on duty. It shouldn't be a problem to ask the guest what they want. And I don't expect that within 5 minutes. Unfortunately, I have to say that you should drink your Augustiner somewhere else.

Bavarian restaurant with a small but cozy beer garden. Friendly service always with a smile. The food is great and especially homemade products. We had Jägerschnitzel with homemade spaetzle, asparagus with boiled potatoes and schnitzel and, for dessert, homemade Kaiserschmarrn, which was soooo delicious and absolutely recommended.

Rustic restaurant with a beer garden and a fair price/performance ratio

The Jagdschlössl on Romanplatz is a very nice restaurant with a great beer garden. The food is simply perfect and you can get everything your heart desires here, from hearty Bavarian specialties to vegan food. The service is excellent and super attentive. As an insider tip for all beer lovers, it should be mentioned that Augustiner beer is available fresh from wooden barrels from Monday to Wednesday. My clear recommendation if you want to spend a great evening in a cozy atmosphere.

4.1 in the rating is completely unjustified (April 2024). My. Visiting with 6 other people was excellent and everyone enjoyed it, even though we had significantly lowered the average age. 😉😅 Excellent food, good prices. The service (with dialect and ironic sayings) is exemplary. I much prefer a typical restaurant like this, for the "real Munich", to the groomed taverns in the city center where Northern Lights in lederhosen serve the tourists. P.S. Some of the negative reviewers would be better off with the latter.

A wonderful, traditional Bavarian inn in the middle of Munich on Rotkreuzplatz. Very easy to reach with the U1 subway. Good selection of food and drinks and even Augustiner beer from a wooden barrel. All of this at affordable prices!

I really enjoyed the pork knuckle with dumplings, as did the beer. The restaurant was quite quaint for a big city. The service was top notch, I just like it when the waiter speaks the local language and isn't "imported"! I would eat there again!

I am writing this review because I was very dissatisfied with the service of this restaurant. The hunting lodge's guests are old, most of them around 60-80 years old. I think that most waiters (unfortunately it has happened twice now) are not used to young people. As a young guest, I was once again not treated with respect, even though my grandfather even ate with us. My questions were answered snidely and sometimes completely ignored. I ordered spaetzle with sauce and these came without sauce. When I pointed it out (nicely), she first told me that there was sauce there, but when I showed it to her, she complained about my order and that it wasn't a proper dish on the adult menu. (She had never mentioned that before.) When I asked if I could buy extra sauce (I had a plate of spaetzle in front of me without sauce, nobody eats that!), she rolled her eyes and simply left. 20 minutes later, when I was almost finished eating, a pot of sauce arrived. I didn't feel comfortable there, this has never happened to me in a restaurant! I do not recommend that young guests who want to be treated with respect eat there. After repeated passive aggressive and disrespectful behavior from the servers, I will not be visiting this restaurant again.

My wife and I found this typical wonderful Bavarian restaurant amazing! They were super friendly, smily and helpful! Even though we didn't know German, but they helped us to choose our wanted dishes in English. The dishes were so tasty within huge portions we couldn't even finish them🤭they were so kind and understanding with us as foreigners! It was a fantastic experience for us! Thank you Jagdschlössl! Brought pork roast, never had such a bad roast pork in 20 years! That in the state capital of Bavaria!! Do you actually try your own food? !!!??? 20 years ago you advertised your pork gravy. It was so delicious!!!!! What was offered yesterday is absolutely below average!! Please return to your roots!! You used to be my favorite restaurant!!!!!!! This criticism is not meant to be bad, on the contrary!!!!!
