During my visit, there was no menu, which made ordering difficult. The outdoor seating area didn't appear clean. The staff was very busy. Overall, the visit did not meet my expectations.

This establishment is a family-run snack bar. Drinks are self-service from the refrigerator. No glasses, no wine, beer, or other alcoholic beverages are provided. Either the place doesn't have a liquor license, or they deliberately don't serve alcohol. We tried several dishes. The fried green wheat had an animalistic, mutton-like taste. The other dishes were, in my opinion, okay but not outstanding. The owner and host was very friendly and eager to receive feedback, hence the two stars. However, food should not be prepared under these circumstances. The only toilet in the place is through the kitchen. Every customer who wants to use the toilet has access to uncovered food. The kitchen is filthy, with cleaning supplies lying next to food. Tiles, surfaces, and kitchen equipment are encrusted and dirty. Preparing food under these conditions is irresponsible. Finally, we witnessed the packaging of takeaway food. The owner's wife scraped the rice pudding from the clay bowl into the aluminum takeaway containers with her fingers. The ventilation system in the dining area appears to be defective, as books and decorative items are being stored on the countertop. Unfortunately, the awareness of food hygiene, which is absolutely essential in the restaurant industry, is lacking here.

Lovely owners and great authentic cuisine!

The welcome was incredibly warm and friendly. The food was truly outstanding, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was simply wonderful – very cozy and pleasant. I would especially like to highlight the béchamel dish: it was one of the most delicious I have ever eaten. A visit that is definitely worthwhile and which I highly recommend.

We ate here today and we were absolutely thrilled. I'd never tried Egyptian food before, so it was a lucky find. But it was incredibly good. We had an appetizer, main course, and dessert. The staff, presumably the owners, were very friendly and gave us some great recommendations. It has a casual, casual atmosphere, which I like, but it's not really for a fancy dining experience.

This small, hidden Egyptian restaurant isn't for fans of meticulously organized, trendy places. It's chaotic, disorganized, and so incredibly small that you're practically crammed together. But anyone who loves this kind of relaxed, vibrant atmosphere will instantly fall in love with this place. Ambiance & Service: Like Mom's Cooking The atmosphere is unbeatable: It feels like you're standing right in Mom's kitchen, where everything is bustling and full of life. The whole family is involved, from the youngest to the oldest, to keep this place running – that's what makes it so incredibly authentic. Visually, it's far removed from any "fancy hype" and feels very natural, but unfortunately, also a bit stuffy. The woman who's cooking is visibly overwhelmed, which is unfortunately quite noticeable. The Culinary Journey: An Experiment with a Happy Ending As someone who enjoys trying all the world's cultures, I was eager to experience the exotic Egyptian dishes. And first off: It was a culinary journey with its ups and downs, but a truly wonderful ending. Appetizers and small plates: Much of it was incredibly delicious, some of it an experiment. The presence of many locals (always a sign of authentic cuisine for me!) suggested fresh preparation, although a few small items unfortunately seemed to have been prepared from a can. Main courses: These took a good hour to arrive, but were excellent in taste. I would describe the cuisine as a kind of fusion of Arabic and Turkish cuisine – an exciting and delicious mix. Value for money: This is the biggest weakness. The dishes are sometimes very small (about the size of your palm) for prices that can easily exceed €21. Unfortunately, the taste and price don't match up. Conclusion: The warmth and friendliness make up for it. The warm, family-run business with its genuine charm completely redeems itself. This unique authenticity and the delicious main courses are why I'm awarding not just 3, but a well-deserved 4 stars. An experience for anyone seeking the imperfect and the genuine!

I cannot express how authentically Egyptian this place is. I haven't eaten such delicious Egyptian food outside of Egypt. This is a piece of Egypt found in Germany. As an Egyptian that misses the Egyptian cuisine a lot, that visit definitely won't be my last at your cozy restaurant. We were a group of about 15 people and had actually only reserved for a few more. Nevertheless, the owners made every effort to ensure we had a table together – and they did so with such warmth. The food was simply incredible – and I say that as an Egyptian. The macaroni béchamel and the meat were outstanding, and the baba ghanoush was probably the best I've ever eaten. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and prepared with love. The warm and friendly nature of the hosts made the evening a special experience. It was far more than just a restaurant visit – it was a taste of home. Thank you for the hospitality and the great food – we will definitely be back!

Very very very delicious food, the best Egyptian food I tried in Germany. The atmosphere was cozy and the owners were very helpful and generous even offering us bigger portions without extra charge and as a group of 15 people who arrived announced the service was really good in terms of quality and time. The walls are decorated with Egyptian artists. The food is really, really authentic. Of course, when you hear one description or another you think, ah yes, we have that too, but no, there is a big difference if you order stuffed grape leaves or musakka. This is homemade food, the lady cooks the food herself. The person is little. The spaces inside are also manageable. I was there for the first time today. I will invite my visitors to D'dorf there. I was there for the first time today and thought it was great! Very nice owner, who impressed everyone with his service and was very friendly. The food prepared by the wife was very, very tasty. Price/performance absolutely fine. We paid 30 euros per person with drinks and in return we had lamb, rice and a minced eggplant dish. Great for a delicious meal with friends. Since we didn't manage to do everything, the rest was packed up for us. Very nice

Very small, simply but lovingly designed location with a few tables (there are also outdoor spaces in summer). We had never enjoyed Egyptian cuisine before, so I can't make a comparison, only give an assessment of the taste of the dishes. All dishes were put together for us as a recommendation from the house and were freshly prepared and tasted excellent. The owner who prepared and served was very friendly and a good hostess. We will definitely come back.

An exceptional little restaurant. As soon as you enter the restaurant you immediately feel like you are in Egypt. The decoration and ambience are reminiscent of your favorite Egyptian restaurant from your last vacation. The typical television with Egyptian music or series also hangs above the door. My heart swelled. The friendly lady took a while to arrive, but that too is authentic 😉 after all, the clocks always tick a little differently in Egypt, and the lady was alone. As a menu you get a QR code and also recommendations from the house. We had starters (bread and dips) and main courses (Tajin with potatoes, meat and vegetables) as delicious as if my Egyptian friend had cooked it herself. For dessert we had a great 'Umm Ali' and tea, along with a warm conversation with the lovely lady. In short: kollu meya meya, ashufik tany inshaallah PS: If you're expecting chic here, you'll be disappointed. Here you will find honest and authentic home cooking.

This food was amazing! You could just taste that everything was homemade. We ordered number 8 & 10, which ended up being so so good. The woman working in the restaurant was very kind too. Just keep in mind that the restaurant is quite small, but if you’ll have to wait for a seat, its definitely worth it! This was one of our favorite meals since a while, so very glad we came here.
