Excellent Egyptian food made with love

Incredibly delicious! Very varied, wonderfully tender and excellently seasoned dishes. Finally a restaurant with dishes that require love, time and culinary know-how. The friendly service and the positively playful, kitschy atmosphere contributed to a great evening.

Authentic Egyptian food that tastes exactly as home. The chef is a very nice lady and very friendly. Food is fresh and cooked to order and served very fast.

You walk in and you think you're in a small town in Egypt because it feels very local, very hospitable warm and cozy. Anyone who grew up with Egyptian music and films will recognize the authenticity. The walls are decorated with Egyptian artists. The food is really, really authentic. Of course, when you hear one description or another you think, ah yes, we have that too, but no, there is a big difference if you order stuffed grape leaves or musakka. This is homemade food, the lady cooks the food herself. The person is little. The spaces inside are also manageable. I was there for the first time today. I will invite my visitors to D'dorf there. I was there for the first time today and thought it was great! Very nice owner, who impressed everyone with his service and was very friendly. The food prepared by the wife was very, very tasty. Price/performance absolutely fine. We paid 30 euros per person with drinks and in return we had lamb, rice and a minced eggplant dish. Great for a delicious meal with friends. Since we didn't manage to do everything, the rest was packed up for us. Very nice

Very small, simply but lovingly designed location with a few tables (there are also outdoor spaces in summer). We had never enjoyed Egyptian cuisine before, so I can't make a comparison, only give an assessment of the taste of the dishes. All dishes were put together for us as a recommendation from the house and were freshly prepared and tasted excellent. The owner who prepared and served was very friendly and a good hostess. We will definitely come back.

If you want to experience authentic folk cuisine, this is the right place for you. The hospitality and homely charm of this restaurant, which looks inconspicuous from the outside, makes every gourmet's heart beat faster. We tried lamb and chicken. The pigeon must be pre-ordered. Tea and dessert were on the house and a very friendly conversation about culture and language rounded off the visit. I will definitely come again next year. Thank you very much

An exceptional little restaurant. As soon as you enter the restaurant you immediately feel like you are in Egypt. The decoration and ambience are reminiscent of your favorite Egyptian restaurant from your last vacation. The typical television with Egyptian music or series also hangs above the door. My heart swelled. The friendly lady took a while to arrive, but that too is authentic 😉 after all, the clocks always tick a little differently in Egypt, and the lady was alone. As a menu you get a QR code and also recommendations from the house. We had starters (bread and dips) and main courses (Tajin with potatoes, meat and vegetables) as delicious as if my Egyptian friend had cooked it herself. For dessert we had a great 'Umm Ali' and tea, along with a warm conversation with the lovely lady. In short: kollu meya meya, ashufik tany inshaallah PS: If you're expecting chic here, you'll be disappointed. Here you will find honest and authentic home cooking.

We had dinner here tonight. Food was great but especially the service was exceptional. Incredibly friendly owner whose smile warms your heart. We just moved around the corner and will definitely come again.

This food was amazing! You could just taste that everything was homemade. We ordered number 8 & 10, which ended up being so so good. The woman working in the restaurant was very kind too. Just keep in mind that the restaurant is quite small, but if you’ll have to wait for a seat, its definitely worth it! This was one of our favorite meals since a while, so very glad we came here.

The first Egyptian restaurant to serve me, honestly, the food is amazing, and Amal Warda, whose food and cooking are amazing. And the atmosphere was so dark, one was sitting in the house of a nation and another nation was cooking, feeling a terrible sense of alienation in every sense of the word. I began to visit them all the time.

Unfortunately, it looks exactly like it tastes. Everything is dusty and dirty and the existing comments are probably fake. There is no menu so the final price is played with. Europeans in particular have to pay more. Very very dissatisfied and real Egyptians find this store an embarrassment to the Egyptian people.

Yes, this Restaurant wars with Hammer! This is a huge war and the atmosphere is rich in color. The Service war top, all waren super freundlich. Yes, I have a good taste, war be sure to eat it, eat more desserts. We have a lot of good things and other places such as this, so this restaurant will not be installed in other places. Honestly, the restaurant was amazing, the food was exceptionally good, and the atmosphere was very nice and comfortable. The service was excellent and the guys were very helpful. Every dish I tried was better than the last, whether appetizers, main dishes, or even dessert. If you love good food and are looking for a place to relax, you should try this restaurant.

Great food, nice people. İ was there once only and we had to wait quite some time for the food to come, but it was worth it. And as far as I know, the cook had some emergency case, that's why it took longer than usual. Check out the great, authentic Egyptian cuisine yourself. You'll love it.

We went there because of the mega reviews. Since the owner spoke to us so nicely, we stayed and sat outside. At first we didn't want to eat here because this place seemed dingy and this was confirmed when I went to the toilet. I had to go through the kitchen to wash my hands in such a dirty toilet. So dirty, like it was a car repair shop toilet. We ate there anyway because we had already ordered and it was also very tasty. But from a hygienic point of view, the kitchen was absolutely not of German standard. The bill for such a location was incredibly high. About €53 for 2 people, with main course, dessert and 2 small still waters. Rice is charged extra. Mineral water is available in plastic bottles. Conclusion: Food good, owner very friendly, wife cooks, but value for money is not at all possible for this atmosphere! And the cleanliness in the kitchen and toilet urgently needs to be improved! Access to the toilet would have to be relocated!

The food is delicious and clean and the service is fast and very nice. Today we met Madam Amal and she was hospitable and treated the customers as if they were her family. You could feel the atmosphere of the streets of Egypt in the place. Don't miss out on eating some of Umm Ali's sweets before you leave. I will definitely visit the restaurant again more than once.

The food was really really tasty. 10 out of 10 points. The shop owners are very nice and attentive. The shop is small. About 10 couples fit in there at the same time. I particularly liked the atmosphere. Everything in Egyptian style. I'll go back soon. A couple came in who only wanted to try vegetarian dishes. Their wishes were read from their lips.
