I come to this coffee shop quite often, and I have to say that today I had the best waiter. He was incredibly friendly and always available. We felt very comfortable. Thanks again for the great service. I hope he's working there again next time!

The food here is delicious and the atmosphere is pleasant, but the best thing is the sweet potato fries – simply incredibly delicious!

The place has a special charm and a lot of potential, but it needs renovation and the attention of an interior designer with good taste. At the moment, it is neither particularly tidy nor comfortable. Additionally, it is extremely noisy, and some of the staff make inappropriate comments—for example, asking whether a table round is going to be warm drinks and tea drinkers only.

The service was very friendly and the food was good. The server kept coming by to check if everything was alright and if we needed anything else.

The food was delicious; I had a feta burger with grilled vegetables – I'd never had anything like it before and I thought it was amazing. I can absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits or lives in Schwetzingen.

We visited Schwetzingen today and stopped for lunch at the café. We were served by a very warm and welcoming lady. We travel a lot and eat out quite often, but we haven't had such a wonderful experience and such excellent service in a long time! Great spot, lovely café. Even now, in the colder months, you can still sit outside. Great patio heaters and tables right against the building make it possible. The current difficulty in finding well-trained staff is noticeable at Café Haus. Otherwise, always a good place to grab a coffee.

We went there for breakfast yesterday and were left standing around until someone finally seated us. It took ages for our server to come to us, and she wasn't particularly friendly. We sat right at the front by the window and at least we could enjoy the view and the food.

Went there with my family for breakfast on Sunday morning, very long wait – about an hour – for our orders to arrive. The food was tasty, though. Prices for the portion sizes were okay. Would go again sometime...

We wanted to buy a gift certificate on Sunday because we were unexpectedly invited to a birthday party. However, this wasn't possible because the office was closed, or the server simply didn't know how to issue a gift certificate. This doesn't reflect well on a restaurant of this size. Organization?

We went to a coffee shop in Schwetzingen last night for a family gathering. Since we had traveled from afar, we didn't know what to expect – but we were greeted very warmly as soon as we entered. We were shown directly to a very quiet and perfectly suited table, ideal for a family get-together. A big thank you to the young head waiter, Dardan, who gave us his full attention from the very beginning. He was very friendly, professional, humorous, and simply delightful. He even happily took photos of us and remained patient and cheerful despite our many individual orders. Thanks to his excellent service, we had a truly wonderful and fun evening. The atmosphere in the coffee shop is very cozy and we highly recommend it.

Review for Kaffeehaus Schwetzingen (visited on Saturday, November 8, 2025) We wanted to spend another pleasant evening at Kaffeehaus Schwetzingen on Saturday. Unfortunately, the visit was somewhat disappointing. I ordered a glass of white wine (0.2 l) and a tarte flambée with salmon. The tarte flambée arrived quickly, but the salmon was a bit past its prime and, sadly, inedible – I had to send the dish back. I also noticed that the wine (0.2 l), which used to cost €6.90, was suddenly listed on the menu for €12.90 that evening. Interestingly, the price on the website wasn't changed until the following Monday. It's a shame, because we were really looking forward to a nice, relaxing evening.

We visited the Kaffehaus restaurant in Schwetzingen today and were absolutely delighted. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We would especially like to commend our waitress, ÜMMÜ: she was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and warm without being intrusive. She took her time and her charming manner contributed to a very pleasant experience. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and will gladly return!

We've been patrons of this coffee house since 1996 and always come here with larger groups, probably spending more on drinks than on food. The service is very friendly and the food is, as always, delicious. However, we were astonished... due to the new menu, where prices have once again increased, for example, changes to the side dish on a schnitzel, such as spaetzle instead of fries, now incur an additional charge of €3.00. This isn't about being penny-pinching (since, as mentioned, we also drink quite a bit), but rather about this audacious and unjustified extra charge. The service is very nice, but the management is abysmal!

The food is okay, but nothing special – and the prices are far too high for what it offers. I find the €3 surcharge for changing a side dish particularly annoying. That's truly outrageous, simply because the kitchen apparently can't manage it any better. With the new menu, the prices have increased, while the portions have actually gotten smaller. This coffee house used to be a good place to eat, but now the value for money is completely off.

We went to the coffee shop last night for a drink. The interior was shabby – some of the seat cushions were torn and the furniture was badly worn. An aging café with steep prices.

On the evening of October 30th, the two of us visited the coffee house in Schwetzingen and hadn't had such a wonderful experience in a long time! Our young waiter was simply fantastic – incredibly friendly, always available, attentive, funny, and totally composed despite the large number of customers. He really took his time for us, gave us food recommendations, and his choices were spot on. The Côte d’Azur salad and the pumpkin ravioli were incredibly delicious – fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. To finish, he recommended the cheesecake crumble – and it was simply amazing! 😍 All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable evening with great service, superb food, and a truly pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely be back – a big thank you to the entire team (and especially to our waiter)!

A very nice restaurant right next to the castle. Highly recommended for all ages. The food (Bernese schnitzel, venison goulash) was delicious, only the Spätzle were lukewarm.

On the evening of October 30, 2025, four of us went to the Kaffeehaus Schwetzingen. The service there was an absolute disaster. You order exactly ONCE, and for the next two to three hours, you're completely ignored. No one asks if you want anything else to drink, and no glasses are cleared away. The young servers seem more interested in chatting with people they know who were sitting outside. We originally wanted to eat there as well, but due to their lack of interest, we went to a competitor instead. We four cannot recommend the Kaffeehaus Schwetzingen!

It's truly sad to see that service seems to have lost its value these days. Everything is being cut back – especially unfriendly and incompetent staff who completely lack basic human decency. We wanted to have breakfast at the coffee shop and arrived exactly five minutes before it opened. Instead of greeting us politely or at least letting us know that they were about to open, we were rudely ushered out – with the explanation: "We don't open until 9." It was 8:55 a.m.! This is just one example, but it speaks volumes. This coffee shop used to have style and class – now, unfortunately, it's just staffed by 20-year-old wannabe waiters with no respect or manners. It's a real shame what's become of it.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We didn't have to wait long for our lunch either. However, I find it extremely cheeky to charge €3 for a different side dish with your main course when ordering à la carte (not the set lunch menu!). In my opinion, offering guests an alternative is part of what a good restaurant does. Furthermore, the back of the restaurant is quite cold, while the front is comfortably warm.

Today, Tuesday, we spontaneously visited the coffee shop. We immediately got a cozy seat. We enjoyed delicious food served by a friendly server. Thank you, Bonnie, we'll gladly come again.

It's always nice, but for the past six months, the restaurant has had a terrible smell from the restrooms downstairs. Maybe they need a thorough cleaning. It's a real shame, because we always enjoy going to the coffee shop.

Unfortunately our reservation somehow got lost. Nevertheless, you were able to offer us a table inside. Since we were the only guests inside, it was loud and the service wasn't quite as attentive as usual. We had the impression that the music kept getting louder because they forgot that we were sitting inside. The food was very good.

I like the place, especially in the summer. But the muffled hip-hop blaring from overpowered speakers is a complete nuisance inside. Generation Z doesn't even notice it anymore. I'd love to go back in the summer, but inside, no thanks to the dull, stupid bass. After your incorrect feedback, you can remove me from your guest list. Don't you realize that your ratings are getting worse and worse... 3.6 isn't exactly good.

It was a disaster. We were a group of 13 people, and all but one person was turned away by security. Absolutely outrageous! But we had great drinks and food at the Mexican restaurant across the street. We came with fun and left with hatred!

I was there with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday at the "Season Opening Coffee House Clubbing" event. We were very rudely turned away at the door, accused of "wearing the wrong clothes" (we were appropriately dressed, wearing plain white shirts and regular pants). After a brief discussion, the organizer came and came up with new excuses to keep us out. I would go to the Mexican restaurant across the street; the people there were very friendly.

Prices increased and portion sizes reduced! When I politely asked if the portion size could be increased—even for an additional charge—the answer was simply an arrogant "it's not possible."

We visited the coffee house on October 13, 2025, and would especially like to praise the young waiter who served us. He was extremely friendly, attentive, and made us feel immediately welcome. Every guest was taken care of very warmly. Even though the coffee house was busy, he never lost track of everything. He always kept an eye on the tables, was there at the right time without being called, and remained friendly and patient throughout. Thank you for the wonderful experience, we would love to come back! :)

Service was terrible, we had to wait forever for someone to even notice us, and orders took forever, despite the low number of guests.

That was a feast. Your Spanish sauces, the ambiance, magnificent and incredibly delicious. The schnitzels are amazing. They're better than in many Austrian restaurants; so tender and perfectly cooked. Wow. For a really reasonable price, I think. Your entire menu offers a fantastic variety; if you don't find something there, you have no idea what you're missing. I had an incredibly wonderful evening here in an atmosphere I love, with great food and fantastic staff. Thank you for that, I'll be back.

The waitress was super friendly and even gave us a few recommendations – that's not always the case, as unfortunately not everyone is so friendly. We went there for breakfast. We were very frustrated by the breakfast. We ordered the Mediterranean pan (scrambled eggs with tomatoes, olives, and feta cheese, etc.). The table next to us ordered the same thing. Nobody liked it. It was so poorly prepared and was swimming in "milk." After we complained to the waitress, she said she would pass it on. And we didn't finish our meal! €15 for this pan :-)

I went out to eat with my friends today. A young man greeted us at the bar and had a great chat and gave us recommendations. I highly recommend it. In my opinion, I had the best waiter today.

Service was unmotivated, slow, inattentive, and unfriendly. We had to ask for drinks on the terrace. Gin without ice, lemon, or cucumber. Aperol - more ice than drink. No ashtrays. On top of that, the restrooms were dirty. Conclusion: A real shame... I've always enjoyed coming to coffee houses. From now on, we'll go to Walzwerk... :-)

I've never been treated so condescendingly in a restaurant as I was at the coffee house in Schwetzingen. Upon arrival, my girlfriend and I were seated at a so-called "cat table," even though better tables were still available. After we initially actually got something to drink, we were sent away and not served again. After we complained, we were told in a condescending manner that we would have to come and ask for something ourselves if we wanted something to eat. I find such behavior disrespectful and unprofessional, and I definitely cannot recommend this restaurant.

Today, six of us went there for breakfast, and everyone had a large breakfast. We also had 10g of butter each, so a total of six packets. That wasn't enough for us, so we had to reorder. We found it a bit disappointing that an additional 10g packet of butter costs €1. Also, the coffee, or rather, latte macchiato, was unfortunately only lukewarm, so you had to drink it really quickly.

We've been here several times for light meals, sometimes for coffee, sometimes for wine, sometimes for a bite to eat. We were always served quickly and very friendly. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy (outside). Thank you very much.

Bad staff. We arrived, sat down, and had to ask for a menu ourselves because we wouldn't have gotten one otherwise. 30 minutes later, our drink order still hadn't been taken, which was unacceptable considering the people who arrived 20 minutes after us were served right away. We then asked a waitress in the back if we could order, to which she replied, "Wait for my colleague." The colleague was serving other people and never came to us. After another 20 minutes without service, we simply left. Absolutely terrible and I wouldn't recommend it at all.

We were celebrating a birthday, and honestly, waiter Benjamin was amazing. He was super friendly from the moment we arrived. He showed us to our seats and opened and handed us cards as if we were in a 5-star restaurant. The service was incredibly friendly, the wine advice was excellent, and everything was just perfect. The value for money was also fantastic. They didn't finish the entire bottle of wine, and we were even allowed to take it home with us, which I thought was really great. We'll definitely be back!

Went there to have a coffee and a latte, outside area only 10% full with customers, waiters still overwhelmed and unfriendly to boot, waited 15 minutes until order could be placed, coffee came with lipstick stains on the rim of the cup, chai latte lukewarm, both drinks were swapped without a word of regret, then asked 4 times about payment, nobody feels responsible, real disaster, other guests had their problems too, came here for years, it was usually great, but now you can forget about it!

We were in town today and wanted to treat ourselves to a nice coffee break. The place with a view of the castle is excellent, the service is very friendly and helpful, and the coffee is delicious. However, the cake left a lot to be desired. Why they called two old sponge cakes stuck together with disgusting buttercream "tiramisu" remains a mystery. The pastry chef's audacity is surpassed only by his courage. Never again here for coffee and cake.

If you want to be in a really bad mood, I recommend a visit here! Loud motorcyclists who park right in front of the terrace and let their engines light up before driving off. The service is chaotic, expensive, and inattentive from the staff, and then you have to pay upwards of €25 by card. I was really patient, but it's important to me to warn others about this establishment. Anyone who makes this much money probably doesn't want to carry so much cash to the bank, or maybe it's because they have other ways of earning money.

I ordered a burger and had to wait 40 minutes for the burger to arrive. I took one bite and it was as hard as a brick. I complained about it and then had to pay half of it. I can only advise against eating there. Thankfully you can't go wrong with drinks. The chef said he couldn't prepare it any other way. Please retrain the chef. Thank you.

Unfortunately, the coffee house has changed a lot. The service was abysmal, even though it was barely busy today. Waiting 45 minutes for a latte... UNACCEPTABLE! The waitress didn't even show up. Today was the last time I went there. Unfortunately, because the atmosphere at Schlossplatz is already great.

The two of us went there for breakfast for the first time in ages. Not again. A very pathetic breakfast. Each of us ordered scrambled eggs, and what came was a disgrace. There wasn't even one egg on my plate. The other plate at least had one egg. The coffee came after what felt like 30 minutes. And the rolls were the size of golf balls.

Breakfast is a disgrace – the scrambled eggs were lukewarm and so small – cheeky – the jam was a tiny pot, and Nutella was in a plastic container – just like in a 1* hotel. Despite costing almost €12, the coffee cost an extra €4.50, and it arrived after what felt like 30 minutes. The accompanying rolls were the size of ping-pong balls – the super-cheap baguette filled the bread basket. We spoke to the waitress, and she was tired of repeating the same complaints – she couldn't help it, of course, and was understanding. Conclusion – never eat breakfast there again!!!

The only good thing about the place is, in fact, the breakfast and one salad, which taste like they did 18 years ago. Everything else isn't quite right. The staff aren't at all on the ball. They can't handle game dishes at all, and good isn't exactly what's meant for that. I used to be a regular at the place. I rarely go there these days. The new owner is trying to keep the old concept, but he's completely unable to do it. The price/performance ratio isn't justified.

I can only judge by the outdoor seating. It was really great. Breakfast was okay (the pretzel stick wasn't quite as fresh). The coffee was great. The staff was very nice.

I regularly go to the coffee house with my girlfriend because we love the ambiance, especially in summer with the plants and an Aperol. The food selection is varied, and every dish tastes delicious! The servers are very friendly and always let you know if the food might take a while. My only criticism, though, would be the wait time. If something gets forgotten, they give you a small gift at the end, so it's not a big deal, unless your girlfriend is hungry, in which case the wait can be unpleasant :D

I went to a coffee house for the first time in years. Back then, it was for breakfast, but I can't remember it. Today, at least, I was completely satisfied. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great, as a street musician was playing the violin. One or two neighboring tables got their food before us, even though they had ordered after us. But I actually didn't notice, as I was really enjoying myself. My husband mentioned it to me later, because I'm usually very critical of such things. A waiter also noticed it and immediately made sure our food arrived. The portion was generous and well-seasoned. I'd be happy to come back.

Schwetzinger breakfast was okay. Mini rolls, a mini portion of scrambled eggs, Nutella, jam, and honey.

A handwritten sign outside the door says lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The table says lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Not today, though, because Saturday is a holiday here. It's not written anywhere—you find out about it by chance. The salad arrived—no cutlery. The drinks came even later. Not a second time.

The location in Schwetzingen is truly beautiful and inviting. Despite the busy schedule, the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The food was also absolutely outstanding – excellently prepared and very tasty. An all-around successful visit that I can absolutely recommend.

The service and ambiance are good, but the food is absolutely terrible... We ordered a simple starter and the plate looked sloppy, but as a Kanacke, I don't care. What's not good, though, is that the salmon was lukewarm and there was a piece of plastic in it. The side salad looked good, but upon closer inspection, there were brown spots that you could see if you scraped the dressing off with a fork. All in all, just junk, garbage, an insult to serve something like that in front of the castle in such a beautiful location. A disgrace for any German.

The food was a disaster. We ordered two different bowls. The avocado was hard and unripe, and everything was completely unseasoned. No salt, no dressing, no canned vegetables, etc. There was no cilantro at all, even though it was listed on the menu. I've never had such a bad meal. And the best part was, when we pointed it out to the wait staff, they told us it was probably just our taste. I can't recommend this coffee house. I used to enjoy going here, but this was definitely my last visit. What a shame!

First of all: I always really enjoy coming here, and the food and the location are really nice. This afternoon, we sat outside, ordered our drinks, and then ate right away. The waiter was very overwhelmed, even though it wasn't busy. After an hour, we asked if our order was still coming, and instead of apologizing, he just cheekily replied that he was checking and that it wasn't normal to want our order after 20 minutes! 15 minutes later, it still wasn't here - people next to us who had only been sitting for 15 minutes had already gotten their food. We then asked another waiter for our order, and he was quite surprised that we still hadn't had it. He was friendly and apologized, then went to check and brought the food immediately. As an apology for the long wait, we got the water on the house. It was delicious, as always, but when we paid inside with a credit card, the overwhelmed waiter hadn't included the water on the house, and had to be corrected again - after a goodbye, he didn't reply at all! I wouldn't have written anything, but his entire behavior was simply unacceptable and made me extremely angry! He doesn't fit in at all with the coffee shop's service team, who are all very friendly and accommodating!

Today, for the first time in a long time, I went for a drink at the café on Schlossplatz in my hometown of Schwetzingen. As several friends and acquaintances have already told me, the place is once again one of the best in town. The ambiance is very nice, the seating is comfortable, the food, as far as I've seen, is very tasty, and the service staff is fast, friendly, and attentive. There is, however, one serious criticism. Payment by credit card (which, of course, was only communicated upon receipt of the bill) is only accepted for amounts over €25!! Luckily, I still had enough cash on me. I was very surprised and truly unaware that such a rule was still possible in the restaurant industry! I'm pretty sure this is met with incomprehension by other visitors AND even by the restaurant's own service staff. In my opinion, the manager or owner responsible for this should reconsider this practice or ask themselves whether they are truly suited to running a modern restaurant business...!?

The salads with turkey breast are recommended.

There is no comparison to the past. Now there is finally good food with portions that will fill you up.

A piece of cake we ordered was never brought despite repeated requests. We ordered an iced latte with oat milk, but she couldn't tell us which one was made with cow's milk and which with oat milk. When we addressed the situation politely and calmly, the waitress immediately felt personally attacked, even though no one criticized her. Instead of apologizing, she overreacted and made an unnecessary fuss – very unpleasant for everyone involved. Mistakes can happen, but the way they were handled was unfortunately inappropriate, and we were very disappointed.

Today around 3 p.m., four of us were at the coffee house in Schwetzingen with friends. We each had a drink. We would have liked to pay with an EC card. This wasn't possible, as payments under €25 aren't accepted. Unfortunately, it's outdated and extremely unfriendly to customers.
