Excellent cuisine with fresh ideas. Great view and very dedicated staff. Unfortunately, you don't find that often enough.

Very attentive and helpful service and excellent food. Anyone who enjoys excellent German cuisine will be in good hands here.

Sunday evening, super relaxed with great food and service.

We only stopped in briefly for a drink, but ended up ordering the pumpkin soup and a small salad. Both were incredibly delicious. It was also quite busy, which is usually a good sign of good food.

No matter when I was there, no matter what the occasion, it was always extremely pleasant, warm, and delicious. Hospitality is a top priority and is truly lived and breathed. The events are always a success, featuring a carefully selected menu. Mr. Kade's team, and especially he, always give their all. Keep it up... I can only recommend everyone to stop by and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and learn to appreciate it. I've been a happy guest there for 25 years and will continue to do so.

A very nice restaurant with good German cuisine and a view of the greenery. However, the large air towers in the corners somewhat spoiled the ambiance. The small program booklet with information about events in the restaurant was also very nice.

A beautifully located restaurant at the foot of Pfingstberg with a large beer garden. The menu reads well. Unfortunately, there's no food available from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.! At least we got drinks and some bread with olive oil.

The 3 of us (A South African and 2 Poles) had their most delightful post deluge lunch. We wanted authentic dishes and that's what we got. The ambiance was really aided by our delightful waitress Ana. Very much recommended:)

Entertaining entertainment, culinary delights, and even the weather, Mario Kade and his team "worked magic" – a romantic sunset in summer temperatures – a perfect evening with (as always at Kades) impeccable service. AB 17:00 Uhr ging es weiter. Wir standen schon kurz zuvor da und wurden sehr freundlich in Empfang genommen. Man reservierte für uns einen Tisch und verwies auf 17 Uhr. Als wir mit unserem Hund ankamen, nahmen wir im Außenbereich platz und bestellten jeweils ein Kalbsschnitzel mit Spargel und Sauce Hollandaise sowie zwei Weißweinschorle. Das Schnitzel, der Spargel und die Sauce waren absolut perfekt. Ebenso perfekt war die Atmosphäre im Außenbereich von Kades Restaurant. Sonne, tolle Leute, nette Stimmung, perfekter Service. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Beautiful restaurant on the edge of Pfingstberg. We always enjoy going there when the weather's nice. The seating is simply lovely. The food is always good. A bit more variety on the menu would be even better. The wine selection isn't extensive, but it's good.

The menu reads a bit uninspired, but everyone at the table enjoyed the food. I found it odd that there's no draft beer from the region, only beers from Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.

Good, fresh, regional, and seasonal food, a very pleasant ambiance, a great location, and super-friendly service. And best of all, everything on the menu, except for one dish, was gluten-free and even suitable for those with celiac disease. They're very knowledgeable and pay attention to contamination. High praise indeed.

The food and service were excellent. We had a reservation and had a wonderful spot on the terrace. The menu is manageable, but there's something for every taste. Despite the terrace being busy, we were served quickly. We've been to the restaurant several times and have always been very satisfied.

Trotz des regnerischen Wetters hatten wir in gemütlichem Ambiente eine schöne Zeit und alle fühlten sich sehr wohl. Meine Gäste waren voll des Lobes und Ihr Team war so dezent und immer ansprechbar - wie ich es aus alten Zeiten kenne. Glückwunsch zu diesem Team. Ich mag das, wenn jemand sein Fach versteht und das gilt auch für die Küche. Lecker Essen und ausreichend bis in den gestrigen Tag. Im Kades haben wir am Karfreitag sehr gut gegessen. Unser Mittagessen schmeckte uns doppelt so gut, weil die Mitarbeiter so freundlich und aufmerksam sind.

Service staff very friendly and attentive. Card payment possible. The ambience on the terrace is also nice. Unfortunately, some of the potatoes in the potato and asparagus casserole are still too raw for the higher-priced meal. The apple strudel is not available in spring/summer.

Very elegant restaurant with a fireplace. Also possible without a reservation if only a few people come. Reservations are required for larger numbers of people. There are only a few parking spaces in front of the door. The first one has no problems parking.

Yes. Anyone exploring Potsdam should take a detour to the Pfingstberg and visit the Kades. Since it opened in the 1990s, we have always felt very comfortable there and have remained loyal to the owner family. That speaks for itself.

We went to the Feuerzangenbowle with food and then a film of the same name at Kades. Very nice introduction by Mr. Kade with a number of anecdotes. The food was tasty and very generous. Overall, a nice, cozy evening.

Unfortunately no cake, just a cherry crumble, service was a bit messed up... with a really small order we forgot the apple spritzer and then it took forever until it was delivered

Went to celebrate an 80th birthday, great staff, good food and great ambience. I can only recommend it.

Wir waren am 17.01.25 bei KADES zur Feuerzangenbowle, zum Wildhaxenmenü und zum Film. Das Haxenmenü war genial, super geschmackvoll das Gemüse. Auch die frisch zubereitete Feuerzangenbowle war sehr, sehr lecker und der Film hat ja immer einen super Charme. Es war ein gelungener Abend im Restaurant Kades "Am Pfingstberg".

A gastronomy in a class of its own.

For the first time I celebrated New Year's Eve at Kades. The relatively small dining room was good, but not overly full - very pleasant. The personal greeting from the host made you feel really welcome. The room was discreetly decorated, as was the veranda, which was ideal for dancing. The food was tasty. I was probably the only vegetarian and can highly praise the cuisine. Everything tasted delicious and was cooked imaginatively. This is not a given. A big thank you for that!!! The cabaret performance by Ms. Liere and Mr. Zieger was refreshing and exhilarating. It's a shame that they were under so much time pressure because of a follow-up event at the Kabaret am Obelisk. The DJ was well prepared and was able to get the revelers back on the dance floor again and again. A little more catchy target group music would have been desirable (70s/80s), but it could also have something to do with GEMA. The group walk to the Pona Temple with a piccolo and lanterns was fine, and there was a view of the booming Potsdam. You have to like it. (The reviewer then said goodbye.) The drinks that still had to be paid for, as well as the price per person, were completely fine and so you can only thank Haus Kade for this New Year's Eve party! May there be more!

Kade's ambience is really nice, especially at Christmas time. The food is really good. The service is also largely very courteous and attentive. The only downer is the narrow time window for Christmas dinner, for the upscale, not exactly inexpensive food. It's a shame if you're under time pressure when it comes to eating it and perhaps you would have liked to have had a little more time to eat it further. A little tip: enlarge the time window a little. Nevertheless, it remains a highly recommended location!

My first visit after I got to know it as a “garden pub” in Eastern times. A twist that was worth it and the food and service were great. Individual (vegetarian) requests were also taken into account - all with a suitable wine recommendation. I'd love to come back!

Im Namens des gesamten Teams möchten wir uns ganz herzlich für den schönen Abend bedanken. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, der Service aufmerksam und freundlich, der Raum weihnachtlich geschmückt. Wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Auch kleine Sonderwünsche wurden möglich gemacht. Ein großes Dankeschön an das gesamtes Team, welches an diesem Abend für uns gearbeitet hat.

The goose was delicious, but the alternative dish - previously discussed over the phone - unfortunately did not meet expectations. Even Harald Martenstein couldn't get rid of that. Too bad.

The goose and all the side dishes were excellent. The service was quick and friendly (we only had to wait a while for the first beer). The after-dinner program was unexpected and, for the most part, fun and entertaining. I found the comments on current politics (Scholz and Baerbock) inappropriate and not funny. The boss would have liked to have left that out. Overall, a pretty very expensive pleasure 😃

Das jährliche Martinsgans-Essen war wieder ein absoluter Genuss. Das Menü zur Gänsezeit ist traditionell und es fehlt an nichts. Die Auswahl der Lebensmittel ist von großer Sorgfalt und es wird Wert auf regionale Produkte gelegt. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, und das gemütliche Ambiente des Restaurants rundete den Abend perfekt ab. Ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis, welches wir nur empfehlen können. P.s. Auch außerhalb der Gänsezeit kann man im Kades wirklich sehr gut Essen.
