We were there as foreign tourists (I speak German, but my friends don't) and can confirm that all these rumours about the owner of this place are NOT TRUE. The owner is very nice and welcoming. You just have to accept the fact that he treats his restaurant a bit as if it was his living room and he is inviting you for a meal - that's why he 'chooses' his clients himself and all the tables are always 'reserved'. But if you ask nicely (and not just burst into the place), he will gladly find a place for you, make jokes, speak a little bit of broken English and generally treat you like a new friend. The food was wonderful and the prices were reasonable. If you want to taste authentic German cuisine - definitely a place I would recommend.

Don't eat there. The man who served us was very unpleasant and rude, as if he were constantly angry, and he doesn't try to understand English, only German. If you're planning to go and you're not German, then no, you're welcome there. There's another similar restaurant nearby where the experience was fabulous.

We hesitated at first after reading that the owner might be unfriendly, but our experience turned out to be the complete opposite. He was genuinely kind and attentive, and despite the language barrier — he spoke no English and we spoke no German — we still managed to communicate pleasantly. The restaurant is a charming, intimate spot with only a handful of tables, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We arrived for a late lunch or early dinner and were fortunate to be seated. The beef roulade and beer were excellent, with flavors reminiscent of authentic homemade cooking. The experience was so delightful that we even left a note in the restaurant’s guestbook.

If you're looking for a "real" and regional restaurant, this is the place to be! The menu is small but delicious and absolutely reasonable: even the prices are reasonable! The host is a true veteran and very entertaining! We felt very comfortable and entertained! Reservations are essential! There aren't many seats, so walk-ins hardly stand a chance!

Solid, delicious food. I had roulade with red cabbage, both absolutely delicious. The proprietor is a tricky character; we chatted with him for a while. It's important to note that the kitchen closes early. It's best to arrive by 6:30 p.m. and be sure to make a reservation.

It may seem unassuming from the outside, but the interior is inviting, inviting you to spend at least a moment for a meal. The food is fantastic, especially if you enjoy classic beef roulades, pork knuckle, or meatballs (truly royal). The beer is excellent, for both beer lovers and amateurs. The service is friendly and helpful, as the menu is in German. The prices are affordable (4 people €101.40). I highly recommend it!

Should I eat Asian food or Italian food? My daughter stumbled upon this place... It's truly delicious. The schnitzel... It's insanely delicious. It was so delicious, even without sauce, that I couldn't stop exclaiming. Don't mistake it for a simple tonkatsu... It's so delicious. It completely lifted my spirits from the heat. The fried trout was also delicious. The skin... The best restaurant ever!!!!

This place is delicious. It's like a treasure found in an unexpected place. The meat is tender and juicy, so if you're a meat lover, there's no reason not to try it. The pasta is also rich, so if you're a fan of saturated fat, order some and eat together. However, the owner absolutely doesn't speak English. We tourists might be confused by the Germanic love for our native language, so let's think about ordering in advance. Oh, by the way, I went around 5 o'clock, and the customer who came after me was cut down like a knife. It seems like they have a strong belief in work-life balance, so if you're reading this, let's go for lunch instead of dinner.

Food from used ground pork packaging! My friend brought me takeout and had hers wrapped as well. I noticed the strange packaging at home. After the meal, when I was throwing it away, I noticed that the food was packaged in old, used ground pork packaging. Hygiene aside, it's totally unappetizing to bring food in used supermarket packaging, especially since it had RAW MEAT in it! The stickers were even still on the bottom, which suggests they hadn't even been properly washed! The food itself was fine.

The best Königsberger Klopse I've ever had in a restaurant. Super nice host. It couldn't be better. Have you ever noticed who's giving negative reviews here? The ones who didn't even get in! I find that childish (yuck, he won't let me play with his little scales) and unfair! I was actually lucky enough to get a table the next day (after making a reservation), and what can I say, the roulade with red cabbage and dumplings was also divine. We ate here on a recommendation, and we absolutely loved it! This restaurant is a must for visitors to Potsdam who enjoy hearty German cuisine. And the "Fuchsi" also contributed significantly to rounding off the evening with a good laugh. We'll definitely be back next time we visit Potsdam :)

We were passing through today and were looking for something "local," which wasn't easy with all the Asian shops and tourist bars. But the Dreimäderlhaus is super quaint, with good, home-style cooking and delicious food; for us, it's authentic Potsdam. The owners have a Berlin charm, are very warm and direct. Always open to our requests. We felt at home. So, if you want typical German food, this is the place to be.

The beef roulade with red cabbage, brown sauce and dumplings with brown butter (served nice and hot) that we ordered were “delicious” and very temptingly presented. I got this from Google reviews, it’s really delicious! The boss speaks fluent English and is very kind and cute☺️. The meal was so big that I couldn’t finish it but couldn’t bear to give it up, so I took it away and planned to continue eating it with beer in the evening😆

It is a traditional German family restaurant. The menu is in German, but the boss can speak English, but mainly in German. If you really don’t know what to order, you can ask the boss with pictures. This time I ordered German pork knuckles and Italian The noodles also come with draft beer, and overall they are quite delicious. The pork trotters are very poorly prepared and need to be eaten with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes on the side to avoid them being too salty. The pasta is delicious both in the sauce and the pasta. It’s the kind of pasta you want to eat. If you need to visit during the meal period, it’s recommended to make a reservation first. I walked in by mistake that day. After I took my seat, I found that all the surrounding seats were fully booked. It’s a perfect place to visit after visiting Sanssouci Palace. Come and dine at the restaurant.

One of the best restaurants in Potsdam, the landlord made it possible for four of us to get places for our birthday dinner at relatively short notice, despite the closed company. The food (we had schnitzel, Königsberger meatballs and liver) was very tasty, obviously homemade and very plentiful. The service is extremely warm. We'd love to come back
