We were turned away even though we were campers. It didn't say anywhere that we had to make a reservation in advance. When we were asked to come the next day, the waiters pushed me around and said, "You're in the way." It was logical, right next to the door, where I had to make the appointment. Everyone was incredibly stressed, but some were trying hard. We had reserved a table outside. But we weren't allowed to sit there because it was about to rain. This robot was also strange. Everything was far too cramped; not only did it touch our table, but others kept bumping into the chair opposite mine. There was also a huge dog lying under the table right next to my seat, which kept peeping at me. It was truly disgusting, and because it was so stuffy inside, we couldn't finish our meal in peace. We left after about 20-25 minutes, and lo and behold, people were suddenly being served outside—that's not service. The food was OK. We thought it would be something special, but it was just average home cooking. We were very disappointed given the good reviews.

The Anna Amalia Restaurant at the Royal Camping Park Sanssouci in Potsdam is built with many wooden elements and tastefully decorated – very beautiful! The food and service were excellent, the menu varied and offered something for every taste. A highlight for all camping enthusiasts!!!

We're in Potsdam for a week on business and are eating here for the second time. The selection is significantly better than at the hotel, the food is consistently delicious, the service is exceptionally friendly, and the view is beautiful. We're considering coming here every day! A place where you have to make a reservation for a drink. Problem. Our visit wasn't planned. We were seated with two ladies. The Potsdam beer with rhubarb is not recommended. Too acidic. Quite a few wasps around us. We can go there but not go back...

We highly recommend the restaurant. For us, it was our first visit to Restaurant Anna Amalia, but certainly not our last.

Super delicious home-cooked food, a fantastic location, and first-class service! Right on the water, you can dine royally on the terrace in summer or in the fireplace room in winter. The menu offers a wonderful regional selection, including a very good fish selection. The menu also changes seasonally. It's also great for families with children, as there's a beautiful playground here where they can let off steam. Keep up the good work! See you next time!

Super friendly staff, but above all, I was positively surprised by the quality of the food. We had fish and lamb, both top quality and generous portions. The apple strudel was also delicious. I will definitely recommend the restaurant and come back.

From the table reservation to the payment, everything went smoothly. I didn't know that you could find food of this quality, at this price, and with this level of service in the Potsdam region. I highly recommend it and will be back.

Five of us and our dog came here today, and we were thrilled. It started with the service. Tim was our server, and he was friendly, funny, and accommodating. We ordered "salmon with hash browns and salad" as an appetizer. It was delicious and a generous portion. For main courses, we ordered "stuffed chicken breast on leaf spinach and feta cheese" and "lamb fillet with potatoes and salad." Both were delicious, but the lamb fillet was sensational, medium-rare, and seasoned. We'll be back.

One of the best restaurants in Potsdam and the surrounding area, with a very diverse menu and very friendly and attentive service. The photos show the view from the street to the water via the beach bar, which is not part of the restaurant. The drinks menu, including the wine list, is very extensive. Be sure to book time slots online in advance. Without a reservation, you have little chance of getting a seat.

We went to the restaurant for dinner on the recommendation of friends. We took advantage of the opportunity to reserve a table in the afternoon using a QR code at the entrance. Due to a previous thunderstorm, the restaurant was already more than full by the time we arrived, but the staff kept an eye on things, were friendly, and gave us the option of whether we wanted to eat outside or inside because of "the dog" we had with us... By then, the weather had improved. We ended up going inside, which wasn't a problem at all. We quickly placed a drink order, which was delivered very promptly despite the "full house." Yes... and the food was amazing... 👍... very tasty, a huge portion, and the value for money is definitely top-notch... we're staying for a few more days, and the very extensive menu still had a few dishes to offer that we'd like to try. All in all, a successful visit...

We were here on a Monday evening. There were lots of guests. The staff was attentive and friendly and quickly assigned us a table. The food was plentiful and incredibly delicious. We felt very comfortable. Thank you very much.

Not recommended – terrible service There was a sign at the entrance saying we'd be seated, so we waited. The outdoor area was barely a third full. Two servers looked at us several times but simply walked past. After a long wait, we sat down at a free table without a reservation sign. There were more than enough seats available. The first waitress came, saw us, didn't say a word, and moved on. The second waiter came, asked with a serious look, "Are you new?", placed three cards on the table without a word, and disappeared. No hello, no service attitude. Finally, the third waiter came and asked if we had a reservation. I explained the process so far. His response: "The table is reserved. That's not possible." No apology, no suggestion for another free table. This isn't a bad day; it's fundamentally the wrong way to treat paying guests. Ignorance, arrogance, and zero sense of service – I have absolutely no sympathy for it. Anyone who behaves like this has no place in the hospitality industry.

We reserved a table for today based on a recommendation. It was to be our finale for the asparagus season, and we were very surprised and impressed by the quality of the food. Schnitzel with asparagus and parsley potatoes, with hollandaise sauce and melted butter. Everything was perfect and very tasty, with really large portions. We had an outdoor table with a view of the lake and plenty of shade. The service was very professional and attentive. We'd be happy to come back... thanks for the great food!

Friendly, motivated staff, extensive selection of food and drinks, delicious food!

We spent a wonderful evening in the beer garden. The service was attentive at all times without being intrusive. The food was very good, from the children's menu to the vegetarian dish to the steak – everything was excellent. The adjacent playground was ideal for us. It kept the children busy, and everyone had a great evening.

I'd like to particularly single out the service staff, Ines, Christiane, and Timo. All three are very friendly and helpful, as was the rest of the team, I'm sure, but we weren't looked after by them. The food only earned three stars because we were very disappointed with the mixed grill. One small suggestion for improvement: perhaps double the amount of chutney and a salad or vegetable side dish would round things off a bit. The vegetable curry and the brawn with fried potatoes were wonderful.

It's a shame, we thought it would be a nice afternoon with good food. There were some definite downsides, which we have to share here, and others may see it differently. We were disappointed. The fried potatoes were completely overcooked, the Lillet probably had frozen fruit in it, as did the vegetables with the veal cordon bleu. Of course, we can't confirm this 100%, but it looked like it, and the taste wasn't fair for €30. The waitress who was responsible for assigning us tables also didn't shine at first. We will avoid the Anna Amalia for the time being.

Beautiful restaurant located right on the water and surrounded by forest. Very comfortable outdoor seating. We arrived for Sunday lunch around 1 p.m. and were seated immediately without a reservation. The staff was extremely friendly. All of our dishes were delicious. Unfortunately, the two vanilla ice cream scoops weren't great. There were a lot of frozen water crystals in them; they might have thawed and refroze, or condensation might have been added. Please check. We'll definitely be back; there's a great selection :)

We came here for dinner with a group of 15 people, and everything went perfectly, and everyone really enjoyed the food. We definitely recommend it. We'll definitely come back next time we visit Potsdam.

We were guided by the good reviews and the always-packed restaurant. So, we ate here on the last evening of our vacation. At first, the service was slow. Since the restaurant was full, we understood this. A rather annoying thing was a waiter who kept shuffling his shoes and rolling his eyes in annoyance. The food wasn't of particularly good quality. The fried potatoes weren't crispy; they were swimming in fat. The baked potato seemed to have been kept warm for a long time and was dry. The pasta was also of cafeteria quality, as if it had also been kept warm. Unfortunately, the price and quality weren't right for us at all. We find the written request on the tables that a 10% tip would be "nice" to be outrageous. Unfortunately, we can't recommend a visit to this restaurant.

Unfortunately, we were somewhat unpleasantly surprised. Based on the website, we had expected a more upscale restaurant. Ultimately, however, it's more like a campsite pub. That may be nice for many people and is fine as it is, but we were disappointed. The location itself is very nice. However, the route there is very busy, with a narrow road, lots of cars, cyclists, children, and other pedestrians. Sitting outside, the view was truly magnificent, but it remained very noisy at all times. To make matters worse, our table wobbled quite violently, constantly threatening to tip over our drinks, which also caused a lot of unrest. Unfortunately, we didn't like the food. It was far too heavily seasoned. We had the antipasti starter plate. It was basically fat and balsamic vinegar. The only bright spot here was the buffalo mozzarella. The main courses were okay, but unfortunately, they were also dripping with fat and oversalted. The price was reasonable for the amount of food, but unfortunately, in our opinion, the quality wasn't up to scratch. The staff was friendly, and despite the almost full restaurant, we received our food and drinks quickly.

That's not what you'd expect at a campsite! Great food, very friendly and attentive service, and a fantastic view of the lake. Slightly on the high side, but excellent value for money! Highly recommended, would gladly return anytime. :-)

Went here for a company event and even 130 people were well looked after. The food is excellent. Great service and very friendly staff.

First, the best part: the staff. The fish soup is sensational. We had several other normal dishes. The spiced meat is good, but compared to other restaurants, it's relatively inexpensive. The asparagus soup is a matter of taste, as it's sweet. Always busy. Drinks are relatively expensive. Some of the seating needs to be replaced or tightened; it's quite wobbly at some of the tables and chairs.

The wait for the food was extremely long. Unfortunately, it was only lukewarm by then. It was very crowded, and therefore very loud. The service staff was competent and courteous.

We celebrated our eldest son's confirmation here – with 12 people. At first, we were a little disappointed that we were given an outside table, even though we had reserved one months ago. But it was very warm, and we had the option to move inside later. We didn't take advantage of that option: it was cozy, there were no unpleasant insects, and we sat a bit off to the side. The service was very friendly, attentive, and professional. We would also like to commend Anna, who brought out many of our meals and delighted not only the children's hearts. ;) The food was very good. Everyone enjoyed what they chose. And the drinks menu was also very popular. It's nice that there are so many regional products. Thank you for a lovely evening. We really enjoyed it.

A beautifully situated location in Potsdam, right on the water. An excellent selection of dishes that caters to everyone's taste. The fish is especially recommended. The portion sizes are more than ample. It's located right next to a campsite, but it's a bit of a drive. It's worth the effort! We highly recommend it.
