I only had coffee and cake. Almost €19 for two people. Not a bargain, but good. And very friendly service.

We were at the outside terrace, there wasn't much traffic, the service couldn't take an order in 20 minutes, so we left empty-handed.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon, wanted something to eat and drink... The menu arrived quickly, but when we tried to order, we weren't served. Even though guests arrived after us, they were able to place their orders. After we loudly made ourselves known by calling out "HELLO," the waiter replied "Hello." After a brief discussion with a colleague, another table was simply served. After 20 minutes and this reaction, we left and therefore can't rate the food... Service TERRIBLE...

Of course, it's a wonderful location with a direct view of the Maschsee. However, it's also completely overpriced, and the schnitzel was really bad for €25. The fried potatoes that came with it were okay. I wouldn't eat there again.

I didn't get any food and was told to sit four tables away because they don't serve food in the "bar"; otherwise, everyone orders food. It should be noted that the bar and restaurant merge seamlessly into one another. Then I went to the terrace, where the ambiance was great, but the food was really bad. Wiener schnitzel with fried potatoes. The schnitzel had very little flavor, the fried potatoes were sliced ​​potatoes with burnt onions and diced ham, and the sauce was indefinable.

You're not perceived as a guest, neither when ordering nor paying; you have to practically ingratiate yourself. I wanted to know what kind of cake they had and whether it was filled or not. I was given a car-like stare and the answer was, "I don't know, I don't know." This restaurant thrives solely on its ambiance, not on its service or its food.

Once and never again! The food was disgusting and extremely expensive. The staff was disorganized and unfriendly. Several people at neighboring tables complained. No apologies for the wrong delivery or discounts for the inedible food. The only positive was the beautiful view.

If you want a nice meal and enjoy it...it's better to spend your money somewhere else! The worst dish ever/the pasta I got was lukewarm! Instead of foam, there was just some weird sauce on it, and the pasta was stuck together (a sign to me that it had been sitting there for a long time)! I would be ashamed to serve a dish like that!

Rude employee/security guard!!! He aggressively sent our little nephew away because he wanted to sit with us! He said: "You can sit down, but you won't get anything!" Liar, etc. The way he spoke to the children was disrespectful!! Never again! The waiters are great!

Okay food and drinks lakeside. Had the American burger but was not blown away. Lake views are decent though, although the outside area could be more welcoming and better curated.

A beautiful location right on the Maschsee lake and really friendly, attentive service made the visit a pleasant one. The burger tasted good, but the smashed patty wasn't quite what you'd expect, in my opinion. €16 for the burger would be okay if it was really high-quality meat and different burger buns. I find €5 for a small portion of fries and €5.30 for a 0.4l Coke Zero quite expensive. Overall, nice, but a bit overpriced for what's offered.

A great place to take a break during a walk. We sat outside and had a great view of the Maschsee. The staff was friendly and professional. We paid about €24 for two cakes, a coffee, an iced coffee, and a small Fanta. Given the location, we expected more and were pleasantly surprised.

The waitress left me waiting for a long time, surrounded by empty, uncleaned tables. When she came to the table, she apologized. She had been chatting with colleagues, and that was okay sometimes... I ordered a piece of chocolate cake (which was good quality) and a cappuccino with an extra "shot," an extra espresso in the cappuccino. The waitress repeated my order, correcting me by saying that I would be served the espresso and would have to pour it into the cappuccino myself. They don't serve an extra shot with the drink, and I have to order the espresso as a single drink (price €3.30). In total, a stronger cappuccino would have cost me €7.30. That's excessive. The quality (especially for the price) was the worst I've ever been served.

We were there earlier, and unfortunately, our experience was anything but pleasant. The two waiters who served us were unfriendly. When we asked for a long drink, we were snippily told that it "wasn't possible on the terrace" – even though the drink was on the menu. Only later were we told that it was due to a lack of staff. A simple, friendly conversation would have helped a lot, but the tone and overall atmosphere were unpleasant. It's a shame, because first impressions count – and unfortunately, they were very negative.

Today's food was terrible. The service didn't respond to complaints and simply shrugged their shoulders. The kitchen was currently unoccupied. (The currywurst was only briefly fried, not cooked through, the side dishes were terrible... the hamburger was black and had been reheated at least twice, cold onions, cold sauce)

We chose Julian's for our girls' getaway. With the perfect weather, we had a great spot on the terrace. The lunchtime special is very tempting, and the price includes a small drink. The staff were very friendly and happy to fulfill even our smallest requests! It was a great visit; everything was top-notch. The weather was fantastic, and the view of the beautiful Maschsee lake was amazing. We'd love to come back 💝

The large outdoor terrace directly on the Maschsee is a highlight, especially in good weather. The restaurant is also used by the hotel and its guests and is accordingly busy. Reservations are highly recommended. The food is average, and the staff is friendly.

Julian's is generally a very nice restaurant. The food is always excellent, and the location is, of course, fantastic. Unfortunately, the staff is often inattentive, and you have to wait a really long time to even place an order. Last time, I ordered Parmesan cheese with our pasta, but we had to wait so long that I'd almost eaten half of it, and then, to top it all off, they added mayo! Today we received a bill for €20.20. I rounded it up to €25, even though we were ignored for a long time and the service wasn't great either. The lady who took the cash didn't even say "thank you." They just took the money and that was it. I think that's a real shame.

Absolutely bad organization. It's understandable that holidays are busy. But waiters ignored guests at the door waiting for a table. Subsequent guests have pushed forward and sat down at tables that were still full. I can't say anything about the food because we then lost interest in waiting for a table.

When I'm in Hanover I go there every time. Very comfortable and you have a beautiful view of the Maschsee. Always very friendly staff and the atmosphere is cool, especially the beach chairs.

I received nice service at Juliu's today. The ambience is definitely right. Whether outside or inside, you can spend your time there. The weather was nice and after a walk I treated myself to a piece of Black Forest cake and a cup of coffee. What came next was wonderful coffee and a piece of cake that unfortunately wasn't complete. I mean, you pay attention to that and don't bring the guest a piece of incomplete cake. I only came up with this after being asked. All in all, the service staff apologized! So dear ones, cake has to be on the plate and should be complete.

After spending 400 € they still charged parking 6€. Rip offs

Oh, dear Mr. Baum and, oh, dear crew - where have the good years gone? When the brat currywurst still tasted good, was nicely decorated and, above all, was well cooked on both sides... Now, at a price of 13 euros - catastrophe... When the hamburgers still had great side dishes, they weren't completely dried out /brash goods so that you didn't have to desperately search for onion slices or have to fight with a very small tomato slice. The menu (priced at 16 euros) said 2 pattys. It turned out: One, cut in half (it's 2, not a lie). Yes, yes, the circumstances take their toll. The employee accepted the verbal criticism and shrugged his shoulders. Oh yes, where have they gone, the good years...

Very disappointing - never again! I recently went to Julian’s Bar and Restaurant and it was an absolute disaster. The staff was extremely rude, like you were bothering them just because you wanted to order something. No smiles, no friendliness - instead stroppy answers and annoyed looks. Then the prices: far too high for what is on offer! It's unbelievable how they artificially inflate prices, but at the same time don't deliver anywhere near the quality you would expect for that price. The food was mediocre, nothing special, and definitely not worth the exorbitant price. Honestly? There are so many better restaurants where you receive friendly service and where the price-performance ratio is right. Definitely not a recommendation!

Whenever I'm in Hanover on the Maschsee again, Julian's Bar & Restaurant is my favorite, in the summer I like to sit outside on the terrace. The last time I ate a Spanish almond cake, it was extremely juicy, really tasty. From the terrace you can have a good view of the Maschsee.

The last time I ate something there. Not only was the currywurst a bratwurst warmed up in the microwave, and the fries were also only lukewarm. The most beautiful place on the Maschsee!? A sad place at Christmas time - with a waiting room feel. Where others lovingly decorate - here - NOTHING! !!! NO Christmas lights, no decorations, except for a mini glass on the table. We won't be back until summer!

Update 11/26/24: Shorter waiting time this time. Prices are very high (€22 for a vegan bowl), but very tasty. I'm sticking with 4 stars because of the high price and the quantity, which is just enough to fill you up, but not excessive. Rating from a year ago: The food was very tasty, the prices are a bit high, but reasonable for me. The waiting time, however, was extremely long at over an hour after ordering, even though there wasn't that much going on. Maybe it was just bad luck that a cook was unavailable that day or something. A bit fresh in the interior, but overall for me it's the food that counts most, so we'll come back :-)

We spontaneously ended up on the terrace after the 96 football game to have something to eat. I still remembered that there was currywurst with fries here. I briefly asked the young man from the service and ordered from him straight away. The young man was a little shy, but very friendly. After a good 20 minutes our currywurst arrived with the accompanying fries. I immediately realized that unfortunately it was just a bratcurry (bratwurst with curry sauce). The portion size was rather manageable for a full-grown man. In the end, the price was not at all clear. 13€ for a fried curry with fries is an absolute disgrace!!! Unfortunately it was completely my mistake, as the food is exactly what it says on the menu. This was my last visit there to have a meal. I wish the store a smooth descent into bankruptcy in the next crisis.

Fries only arrived in 20 minutes when the beer was already empty and cold. When I said that we wanted to get up because the fries hadn't arrived, he came to me and said our fries were freshly made. (They were really hard and the fries were rather airy)

Aggressive and cheeky waiter drove the guests away with Stone Age manners, his strong physique and too much testosterone and gained another one to add to the already many bad reviews. I can understand that the job is stressful, but anyone who is affected so much by a loss of control is endangering themselves, the guests and the store. So no advice, look for another industry.

Nice location overlooking the lake. Unfortunately, the cake didn't convince me at all on Sunday because it tasted like thawed frozen food.

You sit quite well. The terrace was full and it took a while. That's why we only ordered two ice cream cafes. Then it takes another 30 minutes and you get two glasses of water with cold coffee and a scoop of vanilla ice cream, but they only charge 12.80 for that

Wir haben das Lokal direkt am Maschsee gelegen am späten Nachmittag besucht und wollten an unserem Wunschtisch Platz nehmen, was leider nicht möglich war da diverse Tische schon zusammengekettet waren. Die Frage an den Kellner ob er bitte aufschließen könnte wurde verneint mit Hinweis auf „geht aus Personalgründen nicht“. 4 m weiter in 3. Reihe hätten wir sitzen können, absolut lächerlich. Haben dann später nur was getrunken dort, mussten relativ lange auf die Getränke warten trotz maximal 50%iger Belegung. Werden wir eher nicht mehr besuchen.

"At the moment I'm not allowed to accept any new tables." We were called out in the best barker style when we, along with two or three other newly occupied tables, had already been waiting for the waiters for 10 minutes. After another 15 minutes our table was cleared without a word and we were still not allowed to order anything. Oh well. If you don't want to, you already have it. But you could adjust the opening times to "open until Saturday 4 p.m." In my opinion, it makes no sense for a restaurant to stop accepting new tables in the middle of the day. Mind you, tables, not orders! But maybe it’s just me 🤷🏻

We ate there with 3 people. The char was good. The pasta with porcini mushrooms was an overcooked, slimy mass. The question of whether everything was okay was asked more rhetorically. At a price of €25 I expect something better.

The pasta was drowned in a sauce that combined with the overcooked mushrooms to form a slurry that tasted like sauce powder. Couldn't eat more than three forkfuls of it. We were there today and ordered drinks. After the drinks came (with rims on the wine glasses and dirt), no one came the entire time, not even when asked. We paid after 45 minutes and left the glasses full, no one cared. Never again.

I was there on Friday lunchtime, was able to sit outside after the rain with a view of the lake (the waiter dried everything where you wanted to sit) and ordered a fried currywurst with fries for €13! OK, I thought you're not in a fast food joint, you're treating yourself to that now. I wish I had gone to a fast food joint, I would have gotten better quality there. Fries that were so bad for the price, some so hard and brown that you could hardly chew them. Just like the last remnants of a frozen bag of fries. The sausage was not a fried curry. It was a small, narrow sausage with an indefinable consistency and was eaten with the curry sauce. I know everything is getting more expensive and the catering industry in particular is struggling, so I'm happy to spend a little more for quality. But that was a disgrace. The only positive thing was the waiter. I think he would have been surprised too if I hadn't said anything. He immediately offered another drink or a piece of cake to make up for it. Very professional, very friendly and nice from the start. The almond cake was again very good and made up for the bad food

Wir wollten den Donnerstag auf der obigen Seeterrasse verbringen bei einem Cocktail ,Tapas und Musik Der Cocktail kam sehr schnell, die Tapas wurden auch nach mehrmaliger Erinnerung nicht serviert. Wir werden diese Lokalität nie mehr besuchen. Sehr schlecht , denn nach 90 Min. waren die Tapas noch immer nicht serviert.Wir haben das Lokal verlassen.Nie wieder!!
