Food very good, service could be better, sometimes you would like to order more drinks and there is no one around. A renovation is slowly needed. But because of the good food we would still like to come back.

Are extremely disappointed. The fact that reservations are limited to two hours at Christmas is understandable and understandable, but then I find it difficult to wait an hour of that for the food. The main courses were cold and probably convenience, so not worth it. We also got free heartburn all day long. When ordering dessert, the staff became uncomfortable and very stressed. It got to the point where sometimes the dessert couldn't be eaten because we had to clear the table IMMEDIATELY because the next guests were waiting. This means that the dessert that had to be paid for in full could not be eaten because the timing was not right.

We found the atmosphere very inviting. The service was also very nice. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. We had the fillet pan and the special citizen. Unfortunately the fillet pan tasted pretty bad. The mushrooms etc. were very poorly prepared. The fries with the burger were the fries you also know from McDonald's. Small and bland in taste. For the burger itself there were these 20 gram or however much ketchup and mayo sachets that you could tear open yourself. I think that's a no-go in a restaurant and also pretty stingy. Otherwise I had a Virgin Colada, which tasted quite sour like pineapple. Also something you can't taste. I'm guessing a large amount of cheap canned pineapple juice. Contrary to what is advertised, the focus here is not on the highest quality, but rather on preparing inexpensive ingredients at low cost.

Unfortunately, the burger was below my expectations due to the ready-made patty and the loveless combination. The salad served with the steak was a joke. The bread with the steaks was dripping with grease and the fries were really not good. Only the steaks were good and recommended. Overall, we won't be coming back again

Christmas dinner from work today. I had bruschetta as a starter. For the main course there was the fillet pan and as dessert “Mama's Apple Crumble”. Everything tasted very tasty. Unfortunately the shift was already at 11 p.m. Because the restaurant then closes. There would certainly have been one or two drinks in there. All in all, a nice evening with colleagues.

Meine innerhalb einer Woche nicht beantwortete Mail. Guten Tag, Um im Kreise meiner Familie meinen 70en Geburtstag zu begehen, reservierte ich im JOKS Anfang November für 7 -8 Personen für den 10.11.2024 15:00 Uhr Tisch Nr.12 (am Fenster). Für eine Rücksprache hinterließ ich meine Kontaktdaten. (Ich bin langjähriger Gast seit 1997 für regelmäßigen Mittagstisch und diversen Familienfeiern) Am 10.11. betrat ich um 14:30 rechtzeitig das Restaurant um Sektempfang und Vorspeisen abzusprechen. Mit Erstaunen stellte ich fest, dass der von mir reserviertem Tisch belegt war. Des Weiteren war ein sehr enger „Katzentisch“ zwischen Salatbar und “Wochenblattablage“ durch zusammenstellen von 3 Zweiertischen lieblos eingedeckt. Meine Reklamation beim „Maître de jour“ (er hat sich nicht vorgestellt) wurde mit der Begründung weggebügelt: Ich muss die Tische vollkriegen. Andere haben auch reserviert. Für mich enthält das Wort Gastronomie das Substantiv Gast. Offensichtlich werden jetzt Gäste nur noch als Umsatzbringer definiert. Mein „Ansprechpartner“ verzog sich dann in die Küche und wartete böse durch das Bullauge dreinschauend auf meine Reaktion. Ich entschloss mich zum spontanen Lokalwechsel in dem Wir (inzwischen 8 Personen) an einem netten Tisch freundlichst bedient wurden. Allerdings hat bei mir das Verhalten des JOKS Managements ein bitteres „Geschmäckle“ hinterlassen. Freundliche Grüße

Seit 23 Jahren kommen wir regelmäßig zum Essen, war immer sonst alles Tip top. doch diesmal : Gänsekeule keine knusper Haut, Fleisch trocken, dunkel,Knödel vom Vortag ,im Wasser kurz erhitzt, Rotkohl kein Geschmack. Als Entschädigung Milchkaffee der mehr Milch als Expresso enthielt , 2 Baileys 😳😳und wir waren zu 5. pro Essen nur für die Gänsekeule 25,90€ war ihr Geld leider nicht wert. Reagieren auch nicht auf Mails die man schreibt. Sehr enttäuschend. Sollte nachträgliche Geburtstagsfeier sein schade.

Mit Freunden hatten wir uns hier zum Weihnachtsessen getroffen. Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht und wir hatten einen Tisch reserviert. Der Empfang war freundlich und die Getränke wurden prompt aufgenommen. Wir wählten alle von der Weihnachtskarte. Deftiges Grühnkohl mit Kochwurst und Kaßler und Gänsekeule mit Rotkohl wurde geordert. Alle Gerichte waren geschmacklich tadellos. Die Gänsekeule war auch schön zart. Alles sehr gut abgeschmeckt. Die Küche hat es drauf. Trotz der Masse kam alles heiß und gleichzeitig an den Tisch. Service war ebenfalls top. Der Abend war für alle sehr schön.

My email that wasn't answered within a week. Good day, To celebrate my 70th birthday with my family, I made a reservation at JOKS At the beginning of November for 7-8 people for November 10th, 2024 3:00 p.m. Table No. 12 (at the window). I left my contact details so I could contact you. (I have been a long-time guest since 1997 for regular lunches and various family celebrations) On November 10th I entered the restaurant at 2:30 p.m. in time to arrange a champagne reception and appetizers. I was surprised to see that the table I had reserved was occupied. Furthermore, a very narrow “cat table” between the salad bar and the “weekly paper shelf” was carelessly set by putting together 3 tables for two. My complaint to the “Maître de jour” (he didn’t introduce himself) was brushed aside with the reason: I have to fill the tables. Others have also made reservations. For me, the word gastronomy contains the noun guest. Apparently guests are now only defined as revenue generators. My “contact person” then retreated into the kitchen and waited for my reaction, looking angry through the porthole. I decided to spontaneously change the restaurant where we (now 8 people) were served in a friendly manner at a nice table. However, the behavior of the JOKS management left a bitter “taste” in my mouth. Kind regards

Suppe versalzen. Der Kellner „komisch das ist die erste Beschwerde. Die Suope ist von der Zentrale so vorgegeben. Die Suppe eine Kürbis Süsskartoffelsuppe. Geschmacklich eher ein Suppenbrühwürfel. Danach keine Getränke oder Speisenabräumung. Rechnung nur auf Aufforderung. Suppe natürlich auf der Rechnung obwohl nicht gegessen. Nicht empfehlenswert.

The food was good, but the bacon in the burger was hard as concrete and the tomato was overripe. I find the seats too narrow... We said we were coming with a stroller and it had to stand in the middle of the aisle the whole time... because we forgot😃

The food is soooo delicious, the steak , the fries, it tastes so good. What's also good is the children's plate: "Steak Sharky" the steak is almost the same size as the normal one, and the sizes are the same in other respects, but instead of €22 it's only €5!!!!! + ice cream!!!! The employees love their job and are so nice. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and the toilets are clean. I DREAM of this restaurant!!!! !!

The Jok Steakhouse is located in the Bornkasthof in the middle of Schnelsen on Frohmestr. You can sit inside and outside. The waitresses are nice, attentive and quick. The food is very tasty. The steaks are tender and very good. Steaks are served with salad, bread and a choice of fries or potatoes. The prices are fair. The toilets are clean and tidy. You can go there more often.

The food was ok (we had burgers, Maultaschen salad I mean & and a steak). But it wasn't a highlight either. I can imagine that this is a solid kitchen for many people. I didn't think the price-performance ratio was that good. I wouldn't advise against eating there; but only with appropriate expectations.

The steak was burnt and an attempt was made to cover it up by turning the completely burnt side down. My friend wanted his steak medium rare and was served well-done. Waiter was arrogant. Never again

It's an old thatched one and therefore charming farmhouse with interior and External service. Parking spaces are available at the house. Food has been good and plentiful so far. We've been to Jok's several times and have always been satisfied. The steaks are tender, the fries or baked potatoes are delicious and we like the salad too. My husband loves the burgers too. This week we tested the lunch menu on the outdoor terrace. We really enjoyed the steak plate and the salad with chicken from the lunch menu. We also found it to be okay in terms of price. The steak sauce and sour cream are always particularly delicious. Lunch in the shade on the terrace is like a little vacation. We'll definitely come back.

Steakhouses are always a surprise, especially if you don't eat steak but just ordinary lunch. We had a catfish fillet, ambitiously for lunch. Nevertheless: You would expect fish fillets without bones. Unfortunately it wasn't like that. I like to show the chef how to fillet catfish. The rice was lukewarm. The sauce was tasty, unfortunately only a blob. There is room for improvement because the basic tendency of creativity at lunch is right. At least according to the map!!! I feel very interested in the overview of the next few weeks. It's a shame if the implementation doesn't work. Second attempt follows! He followed: turkey gyros for lunch. And boom: worlds between what was described above and today. Best preparation today. Tastier than many Greeks. Star upgrade to 4! After eating a few times, the following update: The kitchen is absolutely dependent on the shape. Sometimes the lunch comes half cold, the fish is as dry as the sole of a shoe. Next time everything will be perfect. The perfect dishes often come when the chef with a full beard is at work in the front line of sight. If there are others there, there is usually criticism! Food downgraded to 3 stars.

We enjoyed eating here often and often. Joks Steakhouse is a good steakhouse with a rustic atmosphere. The steaks are really very good. In my opinion, better than Block House. All about tasty food was here. Big portion, perfect portion for kids menu, price hmmm well... It was average, like 1 portion of steak like 16.70 euro. The atmosphere was perfect, we were on the sunny day ... The waitress was amazingly friendly, on of them asked me where I came from (bcos he thought maybe I was Spanish lady lol) but actually I said I came from Indonesia. And he spoke some Indonesian words. That was cool.

The dishes were poorly served and were far below what you would expect in a restaurant, both in terms of taste and quality. The ingredients didn't seem fresh and the preparation was careless and careless. Overall, this was one of the worst restaurant visits I have ever experienced. I cannot recommend this restaurant under any circumstances and hope that the management takes this criticism seriously and makes much-needed improvements.

I am absolutely horrified. I ordered the summer special “Caribbean pan”. In the description the dish sounded very interesting. But I got a limp pan with poorly fried vegetables that weren't seasoned. They didn't even put salt and pepper in it. In any case, it has nothing to do with Caribbean cuisine. This “Caribbean stir fry” was inedible and I remained hungry. After a while, someone finally came to clear away the full plate. The older man just said in an unfriendly tone, “You don’t like that.” That could have been the manager because he was wearing a white shirt instead of service staff clothing. I politely replied that I didn't like it and that too few (actually none!) spices were used. The reaction afterwards was totally unprofessional. My feedback to the court was ignored and instead rejected. The man just looked at me angrily and didn't even offer me the card so I could possibly order something else. It's a matter of taste, I was told. Supporting yourself with your hands on the table while the customer is sitting wasn't exactly a positive thing either. The pose looked vulgar. You shouldn't do that with guests. In any case, customer satisfaction is not a term here. The service and food are not good and overpriced. I advise everyone not to visit this unprofessional restaurant. Save yourself the trouble. I was there with my family but it is clear to us that we will not eat here again. We will personally advise the rest of our family and friends in Schnelsen against this restaurant.

It's been a long time since I wasted my money like that. We already wrote a bad review because we thought it couldn't get any worse, but then the espresso came... the cup was dirty?! The starter was ok, although the goat cheese wasn't really that tasty anymore. The main course was nothing. Schnitzel? Not tasty, absolutely not recommended. The fried potatoes were dripping with oil. The waiter was no longer visible - when we called the other waitress over and asked for something else, we were shouted at as we were leaving, saying that the fries were greasy too. This was then loudly passed on to the cook: we didn't like the fried potatoes, they were too oily for the customer. Make some fries, please. It's so loud that everyone can hear it. She basically embarrassed us in front of everyone. Then came the espresso... Look for yourself. The bill was just slapped on us, the main thing was to pay quickly. Thoroughly unfriendly, poor service. I could have simply thrown away the €100. Thank you, we will definitely never go here again.

Als Vorspeise Ziegenkäse der so lange im Ofen war, dass ich nur noch die Hülle und da darunter eine harte Kruste hatte. Was Gewürze sind weiß man hier wohl nicht. Das Carpaccio ist anscheinend TK und schnell aufgetaut, denn es war durch… Die Bratkartoffeln zum Schnitzel sind in Fett ertränkt. Wir haben höflich gefragt ob wir anstatt der Bratkartoffeln Pommes bekommen könnten, die konnte man so wirklich nicht essen. Wir wurden nur angemeckert dass das so gehöre… Dann wurde durch den ganzen Laden in die Küche gerufen, dass Pommes benötigt werden „denn der Dame sind die Kartoffeln zu fettig.“ Schlechtester Service den ich je hatte, Essen weniger als mittelmäßig. Absolut keine Empfehlung.

Steady delicious piece of meat and accessories for years. The red wine (malbec) was a bit disappointing. The primitivo I got afterwards was better, but certainly not a high-flyer. Considering the price of around €8 per glass is a travesty in my opinion, hire a sommelier for some good combination wines, they really don't have to be that expensive.

I always enjoy going here to eat, sometimes with friends, sometimes with my family. Nice and fast service. Portions to fill you up properly. I can also highly recommend the homemade lemonade. Thanks :)

There were six of us (including four small children) at Jok's today. The people there were very friendly and attentive and the prices for the children's meals are very (!) family-friendly, 3-6 euros per dish. Thank you for that, that's certainly not a given these days. By the way, it tasted good - children and adults too 😁.

Probably an old farm that was converted into a restaurant. Nice atmosphere and nice service. Quite a large outdoor area. Good, reasonable prices. Lunch very good.

Ate asparagus with Wiener Schnitzel at Jok's today. The asparagus was super thin but cooked well. Sauce is delicious, as is the large Wiener Schnitzel. Potatoes buttered with peel... It was wonderful to be able to sit outside

We ate at Jok's Steakhouse some time ago and unfortunately we were served 'fermented' sour cream for the third time. This as such is not bad as you are not 'into' the food and the storage chain. However, this should then be the case Of course, something unbelievable happened - the waiter (who we had known for decades) called for 'reinforcement' and the functionality of our taste buds was questioned in a nasty way and we were almost 'abused'. This behavior was very unprofessional and inappropriate.We have been regular customers for 30 years and are very disappointed.We think it is appropriate to have the quality of the sour cream examined.It tasted yeasty and 'tingled' on the tongue.....but perhaps this has already happened. We haven't dared to come here for many weeks...perhaps the male staff should be trained in dealing with guests...it was a very humiliating feeling to be treated like that.

We wanted to spontaneously eat a delicious steak again. Since we haven't been to Jok's for a long time, we first read the last reviews... they left us very unsettled. We are aware that things sometimes don't go well in a restaurant or that one or two guests have different ideas. So we set off with mixed feelings. We received a very friendly welcome, the service was extremely attentive, the drinks came quickly, the salad was crisp and fresh... and then the fillets arrived... a blast! Water was even provided for our dog. We were more than satisfied. Thank you, we'll be back! 😃

A rustic, cozy location - a true space miracle. Clever division creates an almost intimate ambience without a waiting room atmosphere with rustic furnishings. Our service was attentive without being intrusive - always friendly and absolutely confident when it came to a complaint. We had steak, fish and fillet pan... everything was great! Unfortunately, a starter (soup) was completely wrong (it can happen!) and was taken back without the usual blah blah and not charged (it's actually 4*+ for the meal!!). The prices were pleasantly moderate! We'll definitely be back!

Been there again after a long time...company party Starter salad with goat cheese. Should be wild herbs... I didn't find any. Too bad. Goat cheese was good. The burger in the main course was quite ok. What bothers me are the thickly sliced, tasteless tomatoes that I already had heaps of with the starter. And the burger was a substitute solution since my original dream dish was 'off'. Overall, satisfied. Dessert: Semolina dumplings were great.

Unfortunately quality has declined. The staek was not grilled well. The tomatoes not fresh. The bruschetta tasted musty and wasn't freshly prepared. It was served far too cold (probably from the refrigerated section).

I've always enjoyed going to Jok's since I was a child and I actually have to admit that you could do it better... The fries were cold, the salad was drowned in dressing and the onion soup was not edible... unfortunately it seemed to me like it was onions 🧅 with vegetable broth and oil, the color was anything but appealing and it was seasoned really sparingly. But the meat was good as always... Maybe I had a bad day... still a shame

The good food has changed. Sticky roasted bread, limp fried potatoes and very fatty steak. Things were completely different about a year ago. When asked about the poor quality of the food, there was a shrug of the shoulders and a bill for 35 euros. I imagined it differently too. So the decision is clear - I won't be coming back.

Hello, there were 6 of us at the table and I have to say it was okay on my plate. But, overall our food wasn't that great. The meat on the other plates was dry - I've had much better experiences with the fried potatoes.
