Wir waren dort zu zweit Essen. Das Restaurant war während der Woche abends erstaunlicherweise recht voll . Es gab kaum freie Plätze. Der Service war hervorragend und das Essen wurde schnell an den Tisch gebracht. Wir hatten ein T Bone Steak und ein Filet Steak . Die Steaks waren auf den Punkt gebraten. Wir waren sehr sehr zufrieden und für den guten Service gab es von uns ein gutes Trinkgeld.

The food is always good, but we felt a bit pressured because our table was supposed to be filled again as soon as we had finished eating.

Located directly at Wandsbek bus station. Parking spaces nearby are free for 2 hours, but are usually full. The food wasn't the highlight. The meat was good but the vegetable side dish was a bit tiny. The garlic bread was also small and not so crispy. The ambience is ok. Very loud when fully occupied.

We were there twice in the last few months - once for lunch, once in the evening. Both visits the service was super nice and quick. Great staff. The steak was always good quality and well grilled. You can't complain about that. Thanks to the team.

The best blockhouse restaurant in all of Hamburg I had an 880g ribeye steak of top quality, my wife had the American tenderloin also top quality, the steaks were grilled to perfection, the service was terrific and very professional thanks to our waiter Alban

Caesar salad and fries at the lowest level for a lot of money! Absolutely not recommended! The fries tasted like they had been fried in rancid fat. And the salad was a complete disgrace! Drowning in sauce and the parmesan had to be searched for, not to mention the wobbly croutons. All the 5 star reviews are a mystery to me and suggest that they are fake.

Never again. A New York cheeseburger looks like a waste of leftovers and the Caesar salad isn't even snack level. I'm just shocked at what you get for so much money.

The food was top as always. Not above average/exceptional, but still at a consistently high and good level... just like you know from Blockhouse! Reliably good. I've been here several times and it's always been great. The staff is on the ball and I have never experienced anyone being unfriendly there. The food is always good. I recommend making a reservation. Update 09_2024: Consistently great quality of food. Service was simply great again today. I think it's reasonable value for money, even if it's a little squeaky in my wallet when I have a really great steak.

It was loud and crowded in this long-established branch. But everything came very timely and exactly as expected, the cooking level was perfectly met. Service friendly and extremely efficient despite high occupancy and difficult acoustics. Good offshoot of the chain, you can do it if you feel like it.

We had a lovely Christmas party. Despite the large group, the service was good and requests were taken into account. Nice staff, delicious food.

We went to the Blockhouse for a birthday party and, as always, the food and service were great. Unfortunately we sat in a separate room that was a bit too functional for me, it could certainly be a bit more comfortable. Everything else was great.

The staff is attentive, the food is delicious. You can quickly get a table for two without a reservation.

Classic block house. Hanseatic, so no frills but a down-to-earth menu at a high level. I like the new map. Classics like my all-time favorite, the fitness pan, are still there while new vegetarian dishes have been added. Mr. and Mrs. Rumpsteak have become cheaper, but also have smaller pieces of meat on the plate. There is a pubt deduction solely for the volume. It was very crowded on Sunday evening. Plus points for the service. Very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Gladly again :-)

Price performance Very expensive rather. Unfortunately I had the classic burger only a patti without a burger, which is somehow extremely weak if you say it on the menu. Burger Patti with fries which I chose €15. It's steep without a burger... And you're hungry afterwards too. As a bonus, the starter salad doesn't cost €3 like everyone else's. NO over 5€!!! If you want to be brazenly ripped off, you've come to the right place! I will never enter this store again! NO MORE!!! Tip: Get your own ingredients and cost €6-8 (for the amount that was available in the restaurant!) maximum and make yourself comfortable on the sofa or whatever. And you can eat at home until you're full.

Very nice block house with friendly service. Our first choice if you want something to eat after shopping in Wandsbek. The service is great and very friendly and helpful. —- A constructive criticism that applies to most German restaurants. We eat here almost every week and not for a small amount of money, sometimes as a group of two, sometimes as a group of four. If you then order a Helbing or another nightcap, why is it filled exactly to the limit? The bottle is already paid for with one round! At Greek, Italian and Chinese you can even get a nightcap for free. I find that really sad/stingy.

Attentive During my last visit, I particularly noticed how attentive the service staff was. Apparently we looked at it when we wanted drinks. As soon as we thought about it, we were asked if we wanted something. Of course, any special requests were taken into account and our wishes were also implemented. All the service staff we came into contact with were really very friendly. Not to forget that the food was really delicious and makes you want to visit again soon.

Successful evening!! Went to dinner at the Block House in a small group on the way. The service staff is friendly and very attentive. We had three different dishes (rib eye Mastercut, American tenderloin and the skipping steak) all dishes were fried to perfection and tasted great terrific. Should we visit Hamburg again? This would be a place we would visit again.

Unfortunately, loveless. The sirloin steak was good, but just under €19 for a mini piece with sticky fries and nothing else (okay a piece of garlic bread) is really bad. No side salad or at least a cucumber or tomato slice would have made it a little more attractive. My friend's HackBurger wasn't good either. Definitely not a bio hack. That's it for us with the blockhouse. Too bad

This time the food was very, very salty. Waiter very child-friendly and pays attention to parents. If we don't want toys or sweets, the parents don't spend much time persuading us. Class. Really good. Ambiance is a bit rustic, outdated but overall, despite good and bad days, it's worth it.

Relatively large branch of the Block House chain. The tables at the window front and around it are okay, further back it gets a bit dark and, in my opinion, uncomfortable. I always have the feeling of sitting in the basement. There are around 5 tables outside directly on Wandsbeker Marktstrasse. If you like it. The dishes are like everywhere else. Steak is solid. Either you are lucky and the employee at the grill is attentive and the meat comes as ordered... But most of the time not, regardless of whether you are there at peak times or even when there is nothing going on . Then it's usually even worse and you wait 30 minutes after ordering for your steak

It is one of the best Steakhaus I go to, I would recommend it to people who like meat.

After about 40 years as a loyal regular customer, it happened to me for the first time that I was very disappointed with the food. Unfortunately, my rib eye steak was medium rare. It was raw! My wife's filet mignon was also done the same way. So we complained straight away because our service person, who was really very attentive, asked straight away and took the food away straight away. After a few minutes we have the same pieces back at the table. But unfortunately this time the meat was almost cooked through and very dry. I wonder why you don't throw a new piece on the grill in such cases. Since I didn't want to wait any longer, I took a few bites. Unfortunately, the supposedly safe bank Block House is no longer what it used to be. Time to try new things.

So it was only the nice service that kept me from less stars. The photo speaks for itself. Supposed to represent a New York cheeseburger for anyone wondering. Patty on dry lettuce on dry garlic bread with tomatoes and cheese gratinated with dry fries. Great, right? Absolutely delicious. Any snack bar can do that a thousand times better. Never again.

Cleanliness and particularly friendly and attentive staff. I felt very comfortable, only the gratin and the beans weren't quite to my taste, but I'll be back.

Today the waitress and chefs had a bad day. Order salad without peppers and receive it. Ordered tartare twice and received it once. The second one was then brought to us upon request. However, ingredients were missing from the plate. The main course was steaks. Ordered medium rare, unfortunately received raw.

The management at Blockhouse Hauptbahnhof has no inhibition and respect for the employees. They are treated like slaves. Working 12 hours every day, sometimes longer. She gets them out of there without asking if they can at all...just zero respect. If she doesn't have people, she should work in the kitchen herself.
