It's a shame, I really enjoyed eating there, whether with guests to celebrate or just because! Today I was shown that the guest is no longer in the foreground! I just asked if we could exchange a side dish, which is possible in Alstertal, it was answered in the negative and we should choose something else, which we did and he left too! When we got our food it was what we didn't want and everything was returned, the second time there was still no potato on the plate! If the restaurant had been busy, I understand a mistake, but twice is one too many.

It is intended as a note for the restaurant management. Despite the poor quality, we ate most of our meat. Today we were back in Wandsbek for dinner. However, very disappointed today. The steak, we had the Mrs. Rumpsteak, was well cooked, but very tough. We almost ate it anyway, leaving any chewed pieces (there were also some at the next table) lying around. You can't tell from the meat, but this note is still for information for the restaurant management. We mentioned it to the waitress and she was very sorry. We should have announced it straight away, we will do that next time.

As always, great food and the icing on the cake was the great, friendly service. Because of the great woman I'm coming back to this nice location******

Today I was at the Block House again with my family after many years. We all had steak. Everything tasted very good. Unfortunately I was unlucky with my steak. It was well grilled but unfortunately so tough that I stopped eating halfway through. The employee said that I should let you know right away and then I would get a new meal. I then explained to her that I didn't want to complain anymore after half of the meal, even though she could already see everything that had been chewed up on the plate. She reacted very nicely and confidently and took my meal completely off the bill. I didn't expect something like that. That alone is reason enough for me to go there again. Maybe I really was just unlucky and the next steak will be perfect

Very nice service. Always attentive. The place has a waiting room atmosphere and is very loud. The burger was very dry and the Mrs rump steak, despite being medium, was anything but tender. The tenderloin steak was good. But with a fillet you have to make serious mistakes in the preparation. If you compare price and performance, then it is clearly too expensive. Unfortunately, the nice service can't make up for this, as people go there primarily for a good steak.

We recently celebrated my mother's birthday there and, as always, we were very satisfied. The service is always quick, friendly and helpful. At the end there was even a photo of all of us in a greeting card that was presented as a menu. These are all small touches that you don't really need, but that bring you great joy. It is also very positive to mention that almost the same staff has been there for years.

Food and everything was just Amazing

"Piccata Milanese", today's dish, was a disaster: it was just a (large) schnitzel that wasn't pounded, so it was far too thick. The breading was rather tasteless. But what was really bad was the completely overcooked spaghetti, which was soggy. When I complained, they said that unfortunately this couldn't be changed because it was convenience food. But I could try linguine. These were brought to me after a bit of a wait, but without sauce. The sauce came after another five minutes; the meat was of course eaten. The sauce was also a ready-made product and, contrary to what was advertised on the menu, did not taste “fresh”. There was no apology and no one asked if it was tasty...

This restaurant is known for its great steak. And this is no different here in Hamburg. Served with delicious pepper sauce and a super tasty salad as a side dish. Unfortunately, things went completely wrong when we ordered a desert at ten to ten in the evening. Never in my life have I been served such a scandalous desert, with the message that you have to be outside at 10 p.m. It is of course possible that in Germany they close at such a ridiculously early hour, but to then throw the customers out with the garbage... treated like nothing short of scandalous this evening. I'm a big fan of Block House, but never here again!

Service was super friendly and attentive. You can't really complain about food, but the P/L isn't right. You can get the same quality elsewhere for less money. Still a place you can visit without hesitation. The older atmosphere has a nice charm.

I have been going to the Block House Wandsbek regularly for more than 40 years. It has been part of my life since I was a child. I have never left this restaurant dissatisfied. Until now. I was horrified to discover that the North Sea crabs, which were always my starter, had been replaced by plain pieces of shrimp. I urge those responsible to reconsider this change. A big thank you and praise to all the great waiters and waitresses who always make your stay there a pleasure.

Relatively large branch of the Block House chain. The tables at the window front and around it are okay, further back it gets a bit dark and, in my opinion, uncomfortable. I always have the feeling of sitting in the basement. There are around 5 tables outside directly on Wandsbeker Marktstrasse. If you like it. The dishes are like everywhere else. Steak is solid. Either you are lucky and the employee at the grill is attentive and the meat comes as ordered... But most of the time not, regardless of whether you are there at peak times or even when there is nothing going on . Then it's usually even worse and you wait 30 minutes after ordering for your meat.

As always, we were not disappointed with the quality and taste of our steaks and side dishes. The service is above average friendly and very concerned about the guest's satisfaction. The ambience in the front area is pleasant, despite the 90s flair. Just block house style. The back area is a bit loud. Toilets could be checked more regularly. Generally still a good price-performance ratio.

This is the third time we have been to Wandsbek. And luckily we always had the same waiter (Amir) A very polite, committed and courteous employee. As always, the food was delicious, generous and beautifully prepared. The quality is simply great in the blockhouse. Our two children were well looked after and given gifts. We'd love to come back. Nice service. Portion very small (cheeseburger) - has nothing to do with a standard burger. A slice of bread with patti without sauce and lettuce/tomato etc. The tiny ball of coleslaw found space on a slice of cucumber. Fries Max. a handful - €17.90 proud price.

The branch has recently started offering old potatoes that taste watery and just bad. As an excuse they say the potatoes are like this this year??? How stupid does Eugin actually think his customers are? The steak was stringy, the service forgot the steak sauce. Not good!

I really enjoy eating there, especially because everything is right there! Be it food, service or ambience, I am very satisfied with everything! Even if you have guests there and are celebrating, the employees will come up with something to make the day special.

Were there at Easter. It was full, but we still managed to get a seat without a reservation. Super delicious vegetarian food (yes, in the Block Hous ;-)) and super nice service. Was very good. thank you very much

Food is good but quite expensive

We were there with a large group for a celebration, the staff tried very hard to respond to all wishes, the children were all served nicely and were given pens and something to paint while they waited. Unfortunately, the food arrived very differently, the first ones were ready when the last ones got their food, but it is also difficult for 30+ people. Otherwise, the steak house is recommended as a whole.

Food tastes great, prices are reasonable and the staff is attentive and helpful. 5 stars for that. Overall there's nothing to complain about, but the grill staff urgently needs training when it comes to the cooking levels. This is just horror, not an establishment. The meat is impossible to chew. I ordered different roasts. The meat is terrible. I went to this establishment for 2 years because of my child, as the child likes to color pictures with pencils in this cafe. But the last time I just put an end to this establishment. I ordered the child meat, juice, potatoes and salad. I ordered meat, potatoes, salad and beer. Later my wife came, she didn’t want to eat, I ordered her wine and gave her my salad. The child didn’t want to eat the salad, so I finished it. The waiter came and started screaming like she was insane. What not to eat baby salad! She screamed like crazy at the whole restaurant. Ruined all the time spent with the child. I will never come to this disgusting establishment again. As I understand it at this eatery, it’s normal! I don’t recommend going here, you will pay money for tasteless dishes and then you will be disgraced throughout the restaurant as if you were a thief. P.S. I always left a tip and was polite.

We were there yesterday with our two little boys. Service was great as always, even if it sometimes seems like everyone is under a lot of stress, you still receive good service. The food was good. Unfortunately, the portions have become a little smaller over the years and there are no mushrooms in the salad either. Little things that we miss.

Unfortunately, the Block House has now developed into a restaurant for higher earners. The food was delicious, this time I was also lucky with my steak. The service was nice and courteous. But the noise level...! I've known the Block House in Wandsbek since 1980. Before the renovation, it was cozy and, even when it was full, not overly loud. The new floor now gives you the feeling of sitting in a large canteen. But you know that and the prices.

The steaks are still very good. Ours were grilled to perfection. However, if you order 3 portions of spinach you want to receive them. We didn't see any of them, but all three were listed on the bill. About the salad: I work in the catering industry myself. We throw iceberg lettuce like this in the trash. In the log cabin it seems to be served on the plate. The prices are far too high for such quality. Furthermore: very narrow and crowded. The noise level is enormous. There was a dog under the neighboring table that was constantly barking. The restaurant can't do anything about it, but if the staff notices that the other guests feel disturbed, they can politely move the guests and the dog to a corner. Furthermore: outside hui ....... Given the prices, there should probably be enough money left over to clean the toilets, even now and then. The stains of feces on the tiles on the walls are not nice either. Smoked a cigarette outside after dinner. There is a button there that asks you to press it if it is too cold. Doesn't work. Other guests then said it had been broken for at least 6 months.

The order was taken quickly, although we first had to ask for the lunch menu. The food came quickly and was reasonable for the price. The toilets could be cleaner.

This was our second time there. Really delicious food and great service. We'd love to come back!!

Once again an excellent stay at the Block House. The service was excellent and so was the food. We would be happy to come back, even with larger groups. A true recommendation.

Get a table at short notice Service very friendly. Food came very quickly. To be honest, I imagined the burger to be a little better. It wasn't that spicy somehow. The lava cake was delicious, but almost not runny on the inside.

We ordered 2 citizens and a steak to take away. Steak was inedible, and I wanted to eat it, it was still half raw. Fries were 1 to 1 like McDonalds and the citizens were patties without bread 😂, the patties were okay but all in all way too expensive and we were disappointed.

Dear All, We only go to Block House for „traditional“ reasons. The meat is delicious and you can expect the same quality in any branch across Germany (we have been to many branches in Hamburg and elsewhere). Portions have dramatically decreased and heavily been overprized (See picture: American Tenderloin, 250g, Garlic bread (it is a little something actually, and a small baked potatoe), 40 sth EUR. Service: It is mass service. Also: last time we went there to have Dinner the waiter served everything but not the (included) sour creme. He promised to bring it immediately…10 minutes later and only after we looked at him to catch his attention. Sorry, will not be back in the near Future or whensoever.

Already had experience with other Block House restaurants in Stuttgart and Munich as well and the food was there ok. This time in Hamburg I took a Mr.Rumpsteak 250gr. Beef medium baked with a fried potatoe and salad which was all good.

Es war etwas lieblos, aber zum Satt werden hat es gereicht. Bim sehr lange nicht mehr hier gewesen, werde auch nicht wiederkommen.

Frau Fatou ist einfach top: Sie hat uns mit einem strahlenden Lächeln in Empfang genommen & meine Kids angestrahlt. Toller Service & auch unser Hund war willkommen & hatte sofort Wasser. Essen lecker wie immer: Gesamtergebnis: auch im Winter bei Nieselregen top & wir kommen wieder!

Konstante Qualität guter Service

Generell war es hier wie erwartet ein Blockhausessen. Allerdings ist heutzutage im Bereich der Bedienung nicht mehr das Fachpersonal vorhanden, welches aufmerksam auch die Wünsche der Kunden umsetzt. Bei uns war es so, dass trotz einer korrekten Bestellung zweimal das falsche gereicht wurde und einmal trotz Nachfrage ob es z.B Streusel auf das Eis geben soll, kam es dann ohne Streusel. Ansonsten wurde trotzdem aufmerksam auf alles reagiert, aber wie gesagt zu dem Preis, den wir nachher gezahlt hatten, passte es dann wiederum nicht.

Es kamen Erinnerungen hoch ich war schon vor 30 Jahren dort. Es hat an nichts verloren. Einfach nur klasse . Immer wieder ein Besuch wert. LG Petra 👍

Wir sind normalerweise 1x pro Jahr an Silvester hier. Es war bisher stets erstklassig organisiert. Alles geht super schnell, trotz hohem Andrang. Das Personal ist immer freundlich. Geschmacklich ebenfalls immer gut, es gibt auch gute vegetarische Optionen. Preis Leistung prima.

Essen hervorragend, Service ebenfalls sehr nett. Je nach Sitzplatz ist es leider nicht immer gemütlich, z.b nah am Eingang wenn viel los ist. Auch schöne Auswahl für Vegetarier

Ganz nette Stimmung, offene Küche, Bürger wird jedoch nur mit Patty geliefert was meiner Ansicht nach dann kein Bürger mehr ist, manchmal gibt es recht übersichtliche Portionen

Wir hatten ein T-Bone und ein Rumpsteak beide Steaks waren misslungen geschmacklich und optisch. Kann passieren doch schade.

Das steak war heiss und dennoch englisch... kurz um perfekt! Block house versteht sein Handwerk. Einziger Manko bzw Enttäuschung war der magic burger für Kinder. Besteht aus einem einzelnen patty und einem Block house Brot, das daneben liegt. Daher 1 Stern Abzug. Das ist kein Burger wie er sein sollte.

Quán to thoáng khá ổn. Nhân viên cực kỳ nhiệt tình. Tổ chức bạn bè gặp nhau nhóm to 10 người rất hợp lý. Mình và nhóm bạn hay ăn ở đây.
