JOHO Broiler Bar in Zingst

Delicious food - no question. But relatively expensive for the amount of goods used. In addition, the service is relatively abrupt and unfriendly. I can't understand how this "restaurant" was rated so well.

Food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. We'd love to come back.

We were in Zingst for a short vacation and had dinner here. Food delicious, staff nice… Ambience cozy… All in all good… but not anymore… Hence the 4 stars!

Simply delicious, the broiler was nice and crispy, well seasoned with cold slow and fries. Attentive service, sophisticated ambience, what more could you want?

Ate two broiler burgers and fries there this afternoon. I rarely eat burgers that were as well prepared as the ones we ate there today. From the citizen roll (sourdough) to the salad, everything was perfectly prepared. The sauce and the meat are simply in a class of their own. There was also homemade fries as a side dish. And these too are simply delicious. The atmosphere is attractive and everything is clean. The service was friendly and accommodating. Price and performance are okay. By the way, I had a latte and it even tasted like coffee. So what more could you want? We in each were full and satisfied.

Der Broiler ist leider zweimal gestorben. Man erwartet eine saftige Keule und bekommt trockenes und zähes Hühnchenfleisch, das am Knochen klebt. Die Pommes und die Beilagen waren super, aber der Hauptakteur hält leider nicht, was ein Broiler verspricht. Die Hühnchenbrust meiner Frau hat das leider nur bestätigt. Ich werde dort nicht noch einmal bestellen.

JOHO Broiler Bar Zingst coming from the pier just behind the old rescue shed. Looks appealing and we found the idea quite funny. Hamburger with pulled chicken sounds exciting. So we're in. Inside, a very curt, unfriendly employee greets us with two words: “NOTHING FREE”. We actually wanted to turn around straight away. But a couple sitting right next to the entrance pointed out that they were about to leave and that we could wait if we wanted. No sooner said than done. When we were seated, this really VERY RUDE employee set the table and impatiently asked for a drink order. After two minutes he brought the drinks and asked if he could take the order. We asked for a little more time because we hadn't had a chance to look at the map yet. The employee rolled his eyes and left without comment. After another two minutes he was standing in front of us again. We were still undecided. We had decided to leave this restaurant. There was such a NEGATIVE MOOD here and this really RUDE employee topped it off. We paid for our drinks and left. Conclusion: New concept, modern atmosphere, the dishes looked good. Not cheap, fries 6.5€ Hamburger with pulled chicken 16.5€, Cola 0.2 3.5€ For the fairly high price level I would have expected more professional staff. I wouldn't go there again.

We had dinner here on our summer vacation last year. It was fine. Last week, on our fall vacation, we wanted to try it again. Unfortunately, at the entrance we were told to park our buggy outside by a very unfriendly employee. There was enough space in the restaurant, but it didn't work. We then left the restaurant. The staff was so unfriendly and disrespectful that we went somewhere else. I always thought that the guest was king. Apparently not in the Joho Broiler Bar.

Very good service. And the food, in our case the vegan burger and the sweet potato kumpir, were also very good. Gladly again.

Broiler saftig und kross. Bei dem Caesar Salat werde nicht an den Tomaten und dem Parmesan gespart und die Croutons waren knackig . Die Rippchen waren zart und toll mariniert. Portionen sehr gut.

The dishes are great, the drinks are great, (a very good Aperol) the service is very attentive and that alone is reason enough to be a repeat customer. I hope for new ideas for the new season regarding the menu. Let's see what else you can conjure up from 'Broiler'. Tip is the plate for 2👍

We didn't even stay. Either sharing a table with an extended family or outside in the rain, but sharing a table with someone else was not an option and then rudely spoken to - you'll never see us again, because there are soooo much better restaurants here. Thanks for nothing And thank you for the answer and NO, we were not offered any other alternative and the staff/service treated us very rudely and flippantly instead of being friendly and respectful. This is inexcusable.

We were greeted very nicely and were lucky to get a seat on the terrace. The waitress was very friendly and brought us the menu straight away. The concept of only offering “broilers” is great, the menu is clear and that’s great. I had the broiler breast with sweet potatoes and my friend had the 1/2 broiler. The food was incredibly tasty, absolutely top 👍🏻 🤗😋🤩. We'll spend another good week here and will definitely come back again and if we come to Zingst again, then we'll definitely come back 🤩😋 If you come to Zingst you should definitely stop here 😉👍🏻👍🏻 (Unfortunately the pictures didn't turn out quite as well 🤦🏼‍♀️)

Very pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant and the rain-protected outdoor terrace. The broiler and the burger tasted very good. The service was very friendly. The JOHO offers its own spirits (gin, whiskey, vodka and liqueur).

Super nice service! Very fast! Delicious and great atmosphere! As if you were isolated from the hustle and bustle around the restaurant and didn't notice anything. This location is really one of the best restaurants you can get if you like broiler and the like. The interior is very modern and cozy with stylish benches and the outside area is separated from the shopping street by glass panels with a hedge in front and is kept warm and well lit with gas flames even in colder temperatures, which means you can still sit outside even in autumn. The food is fresh and worth the price. The drink selection is large and the sauces are fantastic! Highly recommended

The Broiler Bar Zingst, as the name suggests, mainly offers chicken dishes with a side dish of sweet or field potatoes. The inserts are also interchangeable. We had broiler breast with field potatoes and Joho sauce and coleslaw as well as ribs with field potatoes Joho sauce and coleslaw (coleslaw). The dishes were nicely presented. The broiler breast was crispy and juicy, the fries were crunchy. The ribs were buttery tender. The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor terrace and a relatively large indoor area. The decoration is not lavish, but clearly structured. The toilets are modern and very clean. The service is a little hectic as the store was busy but only 2 people were doing the service. The man behind the bar helped serve the drinks. Overall, I can really recommend this restaurant.

We were there with 5 people and said to ourselves that in a Broiler Bar we definitely have to order the long-running favorite! 1/2 chicken with etc. All around the table we were disappointed at how dry the chicken was. As I read, we are not the first to complain about this.

Unfortunately, the disappointment began with the greeting... When we asked for a table for two, we were given the unfriendly answer that there were no seats left inside and we could only sit outside. That wasn't a problem for us as we prefer to sit outside anyway. The ambience is nice, with the heat lamps you can stay outside for a really long time, even in autumn. We got the cards from the waiter, which also looked very good. Since there was a table tent on the table with a QR code for quick and easy ordering, we thought we could ease the burden on the staff by ordering through it. We did that too, the website was super intuitive. The waiter came back to the table a short time later and wanted to take the order when we told him that we had already done so online. The waiter replied literally: “Then what are we here for?!” We replied that we assumed that if it was on the table you would order over it. The waiter then just shook his head. Unfortunately, after the second unfriendly contact, our patience was exhausted. We went to the checkout and wanted to cancel our order because of the rudeness. The answer from the waiter in question was: “The order can no longer be canceled”. Luckily, a second waiter was able to understand the reason and canceled the order. It's a shame, we would have loved to eat in this lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately, that was taken away from us.

My review only applies to the Joho ice cream parlor. I ordered an Amarena cup with 3 specific flavors of ice cream. The staff only understood a little German. I got completely different ice cream and the sundae contained exactly 4 Amarena cherries. A joke for €8.90.

Broiler at its best. Very tasty, large animals. Actually, 1/4 chicken is enough to fill you up. It's a shame that the chain is only available on the Baltic Sea. We'll be back!

Ambiance and service were good. Unfortunately, both this season and last year, the food was mediocre at best. French fries IO and salad, but the chicken is nothing, it doesn't eat anything and is as dry as toast. Not for sale in other parts of Germany.

I went for ice cream on August 25th. A very nice young lady served me. She was very friendly and accommodating. Ice cream was delicious and I can recommend it to everyone 👍

Very tasty food. The service, on the other hand, was bad. Very unfriendly waiter. It wasn't the first time there, but after the unfriendly service it was the last time.

Were there today (August 25th) with the family and WANTED to eat ice cream because the flavors and the ambience are very appealing... ...when we came in, an Asian-looking gentleman was cleaning the windows of the ice chest/counter with glass cleaner. So far everything is great and exemplary. However, he immediately put away his cloth soaked in glass cleaner and, without washing his hands, grabbed the next waffle, filled it with ice cream and handed it to the guests in front of us. Hygienically very questionable and definitely not healthy... ...was a reason for us to leave the store straight away. Too bad! Hopefully the employees will be told at the next training that this is not possible...

Despite the full house, every effort was made so that we didn't have to sit on the terrace with small children in the evening. Very courteous service, very good quality food! All in all, a really successful visit - would be happy again.

We got some ice cream. Unfortunately we had to wait 5 minutes even though there were two annoying waitresses standing in the corner. The ice cream balls were very different sizes and the waitresses were very unfriendly. however, the ice cream was delicious

Very close to the pier. Very nice service, delicious chicken, nice atmosphere inside and a nice terrace outside. We were lucky that we got a seat without a reservation. If you want to be on the safe side, you should do it. Definitely recommended.

Best nuggets in the world (statement from our 9-year-old daughter). Service extremely good! Thanks! Great location, and even though they work without a reservation, you get a spot. The only point of criticism: the chairs inside are not that good (uncomfortable). The terrace is a dream.

Modern restaurant where they serve good chicken dishes and, according to my son-in-law, the best spare ribs ever.

We had dinner here today at the end of our vacation. The ribs are truly a delight. I haven't had ribs this good in a long time. The broiler breast was very juicy and yet the skin was perfectly crispy. Staff was friendly.

Stylisches Restaurant in bester Lage an der Strandstraße. Nach schon kurzer Wartezeit bekommt man auch am Abend einen Platz im Außenbereich. Die Bestellungen laufen flott. Auf das Essen mussten wir nicht lange warten. Man kann hier keine kulinarische Offenbarung erwarten. Hier geht es ums Sattwerden und nicht um ein gepflegtes Abendessen. Entsprechend empfanden wir den Abend auch eher als ein Durchschleusen, was sich auch in dem unpersönlichen Service der MitarbeiterInnen zeigte. Das Essen war ok, aber wir würden hier nicht wieder hingehen. Es sei denn, wir wollen nur schnell satt werden.

Broiler very dry. Currywurst not recommended. Nuggets (for the child) not as expected for a chicken restaurant - simple ready-made frozen product - a shame! Service: no one asked if it was tasty. We then mentioned ourselves that the broiler was very dry. The waiter didn't respond at all, it didn't matter at all and he just left... Nice for an Insta story Price performance ne 2/10

We arrived in Zingst today. We discovered Joho ice cream and sat on the terrace. A big compliment to the young lady who served us, she was competent and friendly, not only to us, but also to our children. She immediately brought our dog fresh water. She gave us great advice about allergens and the types of ice cream. Our order was taken quickly and the ice cream arrived after a short time. Everything was great, we would love to come back. ♥️🍨

We went for ice cream yesterday. At around 4 p.m. a listless young lady was serving. No smile, no kind word. The ice cream that came couldn't have been more carelessly prepared. I then went to the bar to get my latte, which had obviously been forgotten. Underground and appropriate, however, you could choose how much to tip when paying on the EC device. There was nothing from us. Never again....

Great food! We had chicken breast with sweet potato and also tried a chicken heart soup. Everything was very pleasantly prepared, not too much, but not too little either. Feel free to come back and try another dish. The only drawback: waiting times are very long, as the evening meal rush is very high.

Well organized, clean, well maintained. I could have sworn that the exact same playlist was playing when I last visited 2 years ago. The food looked good and tasted...straightforward. You may know that. When you chew and stare straight ahead, looking for the subtlety of the taste and just don't want to set off the fireworks. Ah, and the cafe tasted like instant.

The ice cream is great. The staff is not customer and service oriented. Better to chat than to serve. So bring a little time. The space on the terrace is worth it.

There is a terrible smell on the terrace from the toilet exhaust. Instead of delicious ice cream, there is nausea.

Overall: recommended

Here I really had the best broiler ever, side dishes were also very tasty. We ordered the “table full of broiler happiness” and it was really awesome, super quick and beautifully prepared. Great service is also offered. We'd be happy to come back when we're nearby. VG from Franconia

Furnishings are modern, well thought out and successful. Hospitality was listless and sluggish. There is Carlsberg on tap, which is very nice. Eating is not recommended. Burger was cold and not tasty. Half chicken wasn't tasty either and could have been cooked longer. Other places in the corner have more to offer.

Fresh chicken, well seasoned. Fries were homemade and very crispy. There are various homemade sauces to choose from.

At first I thought: "Great, half chicken with fries! Like in every snack bar!" But then: Here you can get great chicken (broilers) that are juicy, tasty and crispy like you've never eaten before. The staff is super friendly! The prices are reasonable. We will be back!

The food was excellent! The service can still be worked on. The young waitress had an expression on her face that made us think about leaving again. That had a stupid aftertaste. The service got better after we ordered something and we were accepted as nice guests. After that everything was great and the service also worked. Anyone can have a bad day, but guests shouldn't notice. See you again in a few months.

The food is good. We were decorated once there. Today we tried it, the store was full. We were simply left standing at the door and ignored at all. I'm happy when you no longer need potential guests. Friendly and, if necessary, warm would be an absolute bonus. We won't be coming back after check-in.

The atmosphere seems modern and the staff was very attentive. I ate a CurryWurst (so far the best) and my friend had truffle parmesan potato wedges, which were also very tasty. We would love to come again and would recommend it.

Great terrace with a modern atmosphere Portions were large and reasonably priced. With the burger you have to order the fries separately. Unfortunately a bit too much sauce and therefore soggy. Spareribs were easy to remove from the bone, a little fatty. Service was quick and nice. The lady from the other tables didn't seem very motivated
