We can only agree with the positive reviews. A very well-kept and stylish ambiance. Wonderful, experienced and attentive service staff. Fantastic dining creations and dishes. We weren't disappointed with either the look or the taste, and the prices were fair. Simply fantastic, keep it up! We recommend one or more visits. They also offer New Year's Eve and Christmas menus and goose for pickup.

Enjoy dinner in a cool environment with quiet background music. A pleasantly relaxing end to the evening after a stressful day at work. Sure, the prices are one thing. But there are also dishes with acceptable presentation. And the quiet is a plus. I ordered chanterelle mushrooms on potato pancakes with salad. Really large chanterelle mushrooms and a salad with various herbs and tomatoes. A feast for the eyes. A vitamin-packed feast for the palate. Kudos to the successful creation.

Absolutely incredible what good food! I wouldn't have dared to expect something this good in this part of Hamburg. I also stayed at the hotel and it was really good too.

During our overnight stay at the hotel, we reserved a table at Johann's. The ambiance in the winter garden is very inviting and cozy. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. The quality and presentation met our expectations. We ended the evening at the bar. The staff was also very friendly and the drinks were delicious. We'll definitely be back as soon as we're in the area again.

Great restaurant directly in the hotel

Breakfast at the Hotel Böttcherhof? Not just for hotel guests! The breakfast buffet is delicious, extensive, and varied. Egg dishes are freshly prepared upon request and brought to your table. Coffee specialties and juices are available from the self-service vending machine. Coffee, tea, bread, rolls, croissants, Franzbrötchen (French rolls), sausage, cheese, cream cheese, salmon, jam, bacon, sausages, meatballs, muesli, dried fruit, fruit, etc. Just the thing for a great start to the day!

I ordered the medium steak and it was one of the worst steak that I have had. I didn’t expect it near a Michelin quality, but it was just awful. The steak was too tough and really hurt my hand just cutting the steak. I could chew the steak for days. The chef should be ashamed of himself serving this awful dish and should go back to the culinary school. To add insult to this experience, the server offered me a complimentary bottle of water instead of offering a new steak. What a joke.

Remarkable restaurant. I stayed at the adjacent hotel and have several food intolerances, which made eating out difficult. The kitchen adapted the three-course menus for me so that I could eat them. Thank you!

A very nice hotel restaurant with delicious and high-quality food.

Bar Johanns and Restaurant Johanns are located right next to each other in the same room (left side and right side). Unfortunately the staff is totally inflexible. We were there and asked if it was possible for my husband to have a dish from the bar menu and I to have a dish from the restaurant menu. Both the restaurant and bar were completely empty, we would have been the only guests. The staff only replied that "the bar is a bar and the restaurant is a restaurant" and that this was not possible with two locations in the same place and with empty tables on both sides. With so much inflexibility, we of course went without eating. You can't win guests like that.

We were thrilled again with the roast goose meal, as well as with the brunch on Christmas Day. The reception and service were perfect, the food was excellent, tasty, and the ambience was very successful! We always enjoy coming to Johann's!

Ein tolles Erlebnis vom Eintritt zum Restaurant bis zum Ausgang. Es bedarf keiner Schilderung. Einfach Erleben und Genießen. Alle Sinne eines Menschen werden beglückt.

Kürzlich hier auf der Durchreise zu mittag gegessen., daher nur eine Vorspeise und einen Salat aber alles war perfekt und der Service hervorragend und herzlich. Werde sicher wiederkommen. Extravorteil: Weite Öffnungszeiten, außerhalb der Stoßzeiten hat man schnell sein Essen.

Es war eine großartige Erfahrung. Das Essen war unübertroffen, in einer herrlichen Atmosphäre und mit einem hervorragenden Service. Alle Gerichte sind pünktlich eingetroffen. Die Jakobsmuschel war ein Genuss, das Lamm war so zart, dass es wie Butter gegessen wurde. Sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant. Vielen Dank für die wunderbare Erfahrung.
