A great meal - Thank you Juan Because I was on my way to vacation to Italy! :-) and was taking the train from Harburg, I wanted to grab a bite to eat beforehand. A holiday feeling, so to speak. Now it's a Spanish restaurant - fantastic. The food is truly authentic Spanish, and Juan is a loving and charming host. Thank you so much for that - I will definitely be back. ❣ The food was really, really good. Perhaps that's good to know, because it's not your typical "Spanish tapas" - I just had three appetizers. The restaurant has been around for 33 years and has five other restaurants in Hamburg. The parents are now enjoying their well-deserved retirement, and their son, Juan, continues to run this wonderful restaurant in Harburg. Whether you're in the south, north, east, or west, or traveling or leaving, Meson Galicia is always worth a visit. ❣ Thank you and have just arrived.

Meson Galicia is absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere is traditionally cozy, the welcome is warm and welcoming, and the service is top-notch. The menu offers authentic, home-style Spanish cuisine and a rotating selection of regional dishes. When we visit Meson Galicia, we like to leave the stress of everyday life behind, because for us, the visit is always associated with a culinary delight. We're always happy and satisfied afterward. Last night we had dinner with you again on Valentine's Day. It was a really successful evening. The Valentine's Day menu was very, very tasty. We didn't expect such a large selection of tapas as a starter and were pleasantly surprised! The beef fillet for the main course was a dream, and the dessert was delicious. We would like to come back because we felt welcome and your service is great!

The food was good and the ingredients were fresh. However, the room temperature was also fresh. However, having to sit in a restaurant with a jacket on in January to avoid freezing was certainly the exception and not the norm. The latter is very high among the staff in terms of hospitality. We felt welcome and well looked after. The price level is okay.

Very nice restaurant with tasty, authentic cuisine from Spain. Very friendly, competent service. The only complaint is the slightly low room temperature. Turning up the heat helps. ;-)

The food was very tasty, we tried a large number of tapas with 6 people, everything was very good. Unfortunately, the service drops significantly, which is a shame. We had reserved, but when we arrived there was no table prepared, other guests had to be moved first. And so it went on, drinks sometimes only came after repeated requests and there was a good three quarters of an hour between the first plate of tapas and the last... we imagined a cozy meal together was different!

This is a restaurant that Chicote was in and it didn't make a good impression. He said the dishes were good but lacked grace. The owner is good, but he is the typical Galician who says a lot of hell. Raquel is fine but she lacks experience and the boy has no complaints, everything is fine. According to Chicote they have ample room for improvement but everything is good.

When you go to Hamburg and want to eat from your Galician or Spanish land, the best at Meson Galicia Congratulations and always thank you very much for your attention

The typical Spanish restaurant on the corner. Real and down-to-earth food. First of all, delicious bread and garlic cream. Tapas as a starter and prawns with salad as a main course.

I have been a guest at this restaurant for decades and have always been very impressed. The food was varied, intense in taste and very tasty. With a not too large selection of tapas and dishes, you can tell how every dish was prepared with love. Nevertheless, the selection of dishes is just right so that everyone gets their money's worth. Even in Spain I have never had such a perfect meal. My personal highlight are the chipirones (small, fried squid), which I would love to eat a whole kilo of straight away. What is particularly noteworthy is that the owner and chef comes to the table personally towards the end of the evening, asks how the food tasted and invites you to have a little chat if you want. The service staff are also friendly, courteous and leave nothing to be desired. The cozy, romantic Spanish ambience rounds off the visit. If I could, I would give six stars.

I ordered the tapas which was €16 per person and told the waiter it was for one person and my husband ordered a separate dish. I thought the portions were quite big. At the end when we paid, they charged us €32 for the taps. We spoke to the owner and explained that we told the waiter we had ordered one tapas for one person. He said it didn't matter and we had to pay for two. I was very unhappy about this, especially because my husband had explained to the waiter in German that the tapas was for one person. I will not be back. Edit: As you can tell from the feedback on my review, the owner is not accommodating.

The service is very friendly and personal. The food exceeded expectations and we eat out very often. The tapas for 2 people are so good. Despite many years of travel experience in Spain, we have rarely received them in this quality. Crispy roasted chorizo, bacon-wrapped dates, Asturian bean stew, sardines, really extensive and very lovingly prepared. Great sauces, sophisticated seasoning. The fish soup has a rich addition and deserves special mention. The (Spanish) chef is very personable. Great selection, the wine list offers really good Spanish wines. Very well-kept atmosphere with clean, starched table linen, and there is fresh, matching cutlery for every course. Only the toilets slope down a bit, but this can probably be explained by the old building. Overall, I can really recommend this restaurant! For average prices you get absolutely above average food and an experience.

A great restaurant with very personal, nice and attentive service! For example, we were specifically informed that we had chosen a spicy dish and whether it should be served normally or less spicy. Starter, main course and dessert were very tasty and left nothing to be desired. We were amazed that such a great shop was hidden on a side street. A few more details could be added to the ambience, but that's complaining at a high level. It's rustic and cozy. We'll definitely come back. We paid around €85 for the 3 courses including drinks. It's not a bargain, but it's worth every penny because it was great quality food.

The restaurant was half empty the first time we visited, but we were offered a seat in the far dark corner. After that we turned around and left. But we decided to give the restaurant a second chance. But we didn’t like the restaurant’s service the second time either. The service is built according to the “quickly eat and leave” type. The waiters are inattentive when ordering, the service takes a very long time and the cuisine does not leave an impression of authentic Spanish.

Seit Jahren eine Institution für die spanische Küche im Phoenixviertel. Da dieses Gebiet engbesiedelt ist, würde ich eher um die Ecke an derAußenmühle parken. Es gibt leckere Tapas, Fisch und Fleisch u.a. gegart im Tontopf, natürlich Paella, eine gute Nachspeisen Aufstellung und eine handvoll spanischer Weine. Man sitzt gemütlich, die Athmosphäre ist familiär. Mit drei Gängen und Wein, Bier und Kaffee landet man bei rund 130,- Euro für zwei Personen. Es lohnt sich.

Das span. Restaurant Meson liegt mitten in einem Wohngebiet, dadurch ist der Parkraum sehr eingeschränkt. (3*) Die Räumlichkeiten, die Bestuhlung und die Akkustik würde ich typisch spanisch mit 3* bewerten. Dadurch das Ambiente ebenso nur 3*. Die Bedienung war nett und höflich. Passt. (4*) Das Angebot an Speisen und Getränke ist für meinen Geschmack zu niedrig. (3*). Das bestellte Essen, Chorizo als Vorspeise war gut, die Paella für Zwei war ungewürzt, bestand aus direkt aufgetautem Kaisergemüse und die üblische Fisch/Fleischeinlage war viel zu wenig. (2*) Der Clou ist aber auch der Preis, zwei Personen die kaum satt geworden sind, bezahlen für die Pfanne satte 53 Euro. Die Getränke, Wein, Wasser, Kaffee waren gut, (4*) Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis: 2* Gesamtbewertung: 2,7* Fazit: hier werde ich nicht mehr hingehen

Ich habe schon länger nicht mehr so gut gegessen und wurde so freundlich empfangen wie hier. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Die Speisen waren angenehm scharf gewürzt und man hat die Liebe richtig herausgeschmeckt. Weil wir unter der Woche Essen gegangen sind, kann ich über die Qualität der Weine noch nichts sagen. Ich bin mir aber sicher, dass Kenner*innen auf ihre Kosten kommen. Das Ambiente ist eher rustikal gehalten, es passt. Es ist sauber, angenehm, nicht zuviel Schnickschnack und Kitsch. Der Service ist sehr freundlich. Man sollte allerdings reservieren. Dass das Restaurant im sogenannten Phönix-Viertel liegt, stört mich persönlich nicht. Das Restaurant hat hier seit über 26 Jahren seinen Platz. Gerade diese Lage macht diesen Geheimtipp aus. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Muchas gracias, nos ha gustado mucho 🌻

Wir saßen draußen und habt Tapas gegessen. Der Abend war komplett stimmig. Super nettes Personal, sehr leckeres Essen, ein schönes Ambiente, einfach zum Wohlfühlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Leider sehr schlechter Service, wir haben ewig auf Getränke und Essen gewartet, und meine Paella war sehr trocken und an den Rändern angebrannt.

Absolute Empfehlung!!! Super Essen. Wir haben die gemischten Tapas vorbestellt, als erstes haben wir Brot mit Aioli bekommen, super lecker, danach ging es weiter mit Kleinigkeiten. Zum Abschluss gab es Eis. Währenddessen immer kleine Überraschungen, ein mal hat das Essen "gebrant". Der Service war auch sehr gut, ich lerne selbst Spanisch und habe versucht zu sprechen und die Bedienungen haben mich korrigiert und mir geholfen obwohl der Laden Rappel voll war. So muss das sein. Das Ambiente war sehr schön und hat die Tradition vermittelt. Der Preis für alles war gut bei so einem super Restaurant Gerne wieder

Wir sind eher zufällig in diesem Restaurant gelandet. Und wir haben uns mit unserer Wahl nicht geirrt. Hier erwartete uns ein sehr netter und freundlicher Service. Unsere Kellnerin war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Alle Gerichte waren sehr frisch und schmackhaft. Alle Tapas, die wir bestellt haben, waren überragend. Besonders gut hat mir der Oktopus gefallen: er war sehr zart. Ich empfehle dieses Restaurant für alle Liebhaber der spanischen Küche.

Eine typisch spanische Auswahl an Speisen, Tapas und Getränken. Die Bedienung ist aufmerksam, sehr freundlich und gibt wirklich nützliche Tipps wenn man in der spanischen Küche nicht so zu Hause ist

So ein tolles Restaurant erwartet man nicht im Harburger Phönix Viertel. Service und Essen hervorragend. Das Ambiente hat klasse.

Wir waren am Abend des Ostermontages da. Trotz des Feiertages war das Lokal nur zur Hälfte besetzt 🤷🏿‍♂️ Die äußerst freundliche und schnelle Bedienung hat sich direkt um uns gekümmert. Wir waren zu acht und saßen nie auf dem Trocknen. Die spanische Küche, vor allem aber die andalusische, ist uns aus familiären Gründen sehr gut bekannt, die galicische nicht ganz. Es war sehr authentisch und schmeckte alles prima. Von Fisch bis Fleisch, über Sherry und Wein hatten wir alles durchprobiert und es hat allen geschmeckt. Da es keine separate Kinderkarte gab, wurde ein normales Gericht ganz unkompliziert auf zwei Teller angerichtet. Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen 👍🏿 Nicht so schön ist die Lage im Phönix Ghetto. Es geht beim Parken eng zu und bei Dunkelheit möchte man nur ungern hier rumlaufen. Das Interieur des Restaurants ist zwar gepflegt, aber doch schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Wir haben am Vortag einen Tisch reserviert für vier Personen für 21.15 Uhr, um auch warm zu essen - diese Reservierung wurde positiv entgegengenommen. Als wir das Restaurant betraten, wurde uns gesagt, dass die Küche bereits um 21 Uhr geschlossen hätte. Man hätte uns aber um 18.12 per sms informiert, dass die Küche schließt. Diese Information hat uns nicht erreicht. Wir sind sehr verärgert unverrichteter Dinge wieder gegangen.

Before we got to out hotel in Harburg I had researched restaurants and the owner (Juan) had been very swift and efficient answering a couple of questions by email so we booked a table. Most of the restaurants were the other way from our hotel, towards the old docks, whereas this is on a crossroads of residential streets but still only a few minutes walk from the centre. We enjoyed excellent food and service and I chose the house wine which was good value. Overall it was a very enjoyable evening. We learnt that the family have been working in restaurants for several generations and it showed in their professionalism.

Mir fehlen die Worte für dieses Hammer Essen! Es ist alles super zu bereitet und sehr sehr Lecker! Ich kann dieses Lokal nur weiter empfehlen!

Schon der Duft von gebratenem Knoblauch, der einen empfängt, lässt das Wasser im Munde zusammen laufen und macht Lust auf mehr. Die selbst gemachte Aioli mit knusprigem Brot vorweg ist der Knaller. Und erst die Tapas! Als Vorspeise sind sie schon so üppig, dass man sich ohne Not die Portion mit jemanden teilen kann. Kein Problem, dann wird halt noch ein Teller von der Servicekraft gebracht. Die Reservierung (10 Personen) per Telefon hat - wie immer - prima geklappt. Am Ende waren wir nur zu siebt. Nicht schlimm. Wurden eben 3 Gedecke wieder entfernt. Lächelnd! Wer keinen Wein zum Essen mag, sollte mal die hausgemachte Sangria probieren. Der landläufigen Meinung zum Trotz wird man dort eines besseren belehrt. Ein Besuch lohnt sich!

Gleich vorweg, wir hatten einen phantastischen Abend in diesem Restaurant. Das Restaurant gibt es schon seit Jahrzehnten in Familienbesitz. Wir waren schon häufiger dort und waren immer zufrieden, Unser letzter Besuch jedoch war absolute Spitze. Alles hat gestimmt und war perfekt. Vom Aperitif bis zum Dessert, alles war hervorragend. Der Service und die damit verbundene Beratung, nicht nur beim Wein, waren absolute Klasse. Schon die Tapas als Vorspeise waren ein Gedicht. Die gegrillte Seezunge inklusive der Beilagen war unbeschreiblich gut. Die Desserts waren der krönende Abschluss. Vielleicht ist das Meson Galicia zurzeit, trotz starker Konkurrenz, das beste Restaurant in Hamburg. Wir sind total begeistert und können dieses Restaurant sehr empfehlen.

Von Außen mutet das Restaurant wie eine Eckkneipe an, im Innenraum macht sich aber authentisches Feeling breit, sehr nett. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich. Die selbstgemachte Aioli war köstlich. Der Fisch wurde in einer unglaublich schmackhaften und raffiniert gewürzten Soße serviert. Leider war er noch sehr, sehr glasig und auch die Kartoffeln hatten noch sehr viel Biss, schade. Auf jeden Fall genug Gründe für einen zweiten Besuch.

Wir haben fantastisch gegessen und wurden dabei sehr freundlich und kompetent bewirtet. Der Tisch war mit weißer Tischdecke und Stoffservietten sehr schön eingedeckt. Die Vorspeisen haben wir uns selbst zusammengestellt, weil wir einige der üblicherweise in einer Tapasplatte angebotenen Tapas nicht mögen. Was uns dann gebracht, wurde, war sehr lecker. Und so waren auch die Hauptspeisen, wobei jeder von uns etwas anderes gegessen hat. Wir alle waren sehr zufrieden (Fisch und Fleischgerichte). Auch der Wein - ein leichter Rioja- trug zum Genuss bei. Unser Fazit: Wir waren begeistert und wollen dieses Erlebnis wiederholen. Auch wenn das Meson Galicia etwas versteckt in einem Harburger Wohngebiet liegt, lohnt es sich, hierher zu kommen. Das Meson Galicia ist absolut empfehlenswert.
