Okay place and good food for the price. But the service is lagging, we sat for 25 minutes and waited for our waiter to come back after he had given us the desert card and had brought what we ordered to drink for dessert which we managed to drink before. So we skipped dessert

The food was quite good. A bit pricey. The vegan burger is highly recommended. You have to buy mayo/ketchup separately for a meal, which I find a bit odd. The quantity was fine. Trays were already cleared from some tables (by the server) while others were still eating, which is unnecessary. The atmosphere could be better; the decor was just the bare minimum.

Well, tomatoes could be better and the toilet brush just looks cheap and, above all, dirty.

Price-performance ratio is just right.

Vi stannade till på väg hem till hotellet och tänkte det såg bra ut för vi kände inte till namnet alls. Vi blev positivt överraskade och burgaren var helt perfekt. Vi tog den enklaste varianten och fick den serverad på porslinstallrik och riktiga bestick. Kan verkligen rekommendera.

I've been here several times in the past, but compared to other chains and community stores, the vegan patty doesn't taste good and, above all, the service is extremely unfriendly. The bun was soft and soggy because of that The lettuce leaf was so small that the sauce and the toasted bun were soggy. Service is friendly. Preparing the tablets with large paper layers was very noisy and unnecessary.

You can tell that the chain has slowly aged. But you still get a solid burger.

Compared to 5/5 stars Jim Block at Dammtor, this is an impudence. Overloaded. Instead of a vegan burger to take away, I got a meat burger to eat on site. Go to Jim Block, it's awesome but not on Jungfernstieg.

I ordered Philly cheese as a menu....French fries were very well done and some were already black...the steak strips were very gristly and impossible to chew...not recommended. My table I was sitting at apparently wasn't wiped down either...my napkin was really black after it was wiped...ugh.

The store was extremely crowded. If a table hadn't just become available, we wouldn't have had a seat. Despite the overcrowding, the food was ready quickly. It was my first time at a Jim Block and I found it very tasty and absolutely great for the price! However, the women's toilets were also overcrowded and one toilet was so disgusting that it was unusable.

The hamburgers were very delicious. We liked them very much and recommend them.

1st old review: Cold burgers, I ordered without onions but there was some inside. Fries were okay. 2nd new review March 25, 2025: Since I was asked for a second chance, I visited the restaurant. I could definitely see an improvement. Burger ---> The ingredients are very fresh. The burger meat is perfect. - Grade 1 so 5 stars for that Fries --> The fries are still average. Better than McDonald's but worse than Burger King. They are very thin. Grade 3 On average it gives a grade of 2 (4 stars). The grade only takes into account the food. My points of criticism would be that the menu (in the cheapest case 13.80) doesn't include mayo, the burger is very small overall and the fries are too thin. Unfortunately you won't get enough of it. Other burger shops have a much better price-performance ratio. But since I basically only rate the taste, I give it a grade of 2. Price-performance ratio is grade 4.

I have to treat myself to that every now and then. Labeling the food orders with Hamburg street names is a nice idea. However, you have to listen carefully...

The meat is of very good quality and well prepared. Medium ordered, medium received. Service very attentive and friendly. The ambience is slightly deducted because the background noise was quite loud.

Were here for the first time. Staff is friendly, ambience is okay too. But we found it stupid to call it up with any street name when picking up our order. It would make more sense with standard numbers. The Kimci Burger is not recommended. Rarely have I eaten anything worse. But it's a matter of taste.

No more JB for me... The portions are now really too small for the price, my simple cheeseburger, which you (actually) can't go wrong with, was unfortunately completely bland and dry, no salt/pepper and only a small dollop of sauce. Atmosphere is similar to the fish market/bazaar - the introduction of a screen with “street names” would be recommended, instead of constant shouting from employees (it is already loud and hectic enough from guests). It's a shame, it's been a long time since I've eaten so badly and been so stressed afterwards...

I came by and ordered 1 beef cole slaw with a bunless 160g Patty + 2x extra 160g patties. I only got 2 patties. That is unacceptable. Sadly I am already too far away to go back now. The missing patty was priced at over 6€ as well!

Soggy burgers with cold fries at completely exorbitant prices. If you want that, this store is the right place for you - at least that's my experience today. And you should also have time, first a long wait at the checkout and then we had to wait another 15 minutes for a simple burger.

A Jim Block as he should be. Absolutely friendly at the checkout with competent advice. Despite the fairly high number of visitors, the food was prepared quickly. Everything was fresh and as it should be, despite a few special requests. The rejection of the street names is not loud but loud and clear. Upon request there was a Togo cup for the large cola.. All in all great food at a reasonable price.

Da ich regelmäßig in der Hamburger Innenstadt unterwegs bin, habe ich mal bei Jom Block am Jungfernstieg vorbei geschaut. Das Restaurant ist eher klein und auch auch gut besucht. Ich bestellte einen BBQ Burger mit Pommes und einem Mineralwasser- was möglicherweise aus dem Wasserhahn stammt- Der Burger war sehr lecker, gerade der Bacon machte die Geschmackliche Note aus. Die Pommes Frites waren knusprig und auch recht gut. Ich finde Jim Block lecker, für mal eben einen guten Burger essen, ist man hier Gold richtig. Bezahlt habe ich insgesamt knapp 16,00€.

Dear kitchen team, I just received the best burger of my life. It was the Caesar Burger from you, from Jungfernstieg. Thank you very much. It wasn't just a burger, it was an artistic composition. It was great how the lettuce leaves were specially pickled. And the ingredients were really very high quality. Great burger buns, everything just right. Star cuisine if the onions were cut a little smaller or dosed a little more carefully.

Unfortunately it gets more n more expensive. Design is standard and nothing to be harsh about it. Toilets have been clean. But each time I go there I'm like more disap pointment as it gets smaller n more expensive. The only good thing now is the lunch menu for less than ten euro. Though it is a mini burger it is better value than a big cheeseburger menu for around 18euro

Jim Block has several locations, the one on Jungfernstieg is easily accessible and very centrally located. Orders are placed at the counter and the receipt is marked with a street name. As soon as the food is ready, the name of the street is called out. A menu with citizens, fries and a drink costs around 15 euros depending on the menu. They only serve burgers and delicious fries.

Always sitting in the log cabin in beautiful Hamburg right on the Inner Alster and eating a wonderful steak. Of course the prices have become a bit more expensive, but the quality definitely justifies it.

Chain fast food restaurant with several branches in Hamburg. The ordering procedure is practical and diverse. Our burger was ready in about 10 minutes. It was delicious and satisfying. The potatoes are not bad. Prices are not expensive. Although I don't say you should definitely go, you can try it if you come across it.

The ambience was nice, on Jungernstieg near Jim Knopf in incredibly beautiful Hamburg. The service was okay, it didn't take too long to eat, but unfortunately an employee had to drive past our table on his scooter every 2 minutes. The burgers were very average, the meat was too cooked and unfortunately there was no toothpick. The bread was a bit too dry. Unfortunately the fries weren't salted in the slightest. It's a shame jam... little things. You could hardly cut the burger, otherwise it would fall apart, if you eat it with your hand you'll get stuck. Conclusion: Yes, it was more Baba-like than a McDonald's burger, but I expected more for the price.

Very loud atmosphere. You have to pay extra for ketchup/mayo for the fries in the menu. Hamburger itself was delicious, unfortunately not edible because it was full of sauce and the top part of the bun was also full of sauce?! Veggie Patty was totally mushy and not edible as a whole because it falls apart when you bite it off or cut it. Fries okay. For 30€ for 2 menus we would have expected something better.

This time, we had to experience the usual JB taste in a suboptimal way, thanks to the wrong order of fries, partially degassed cola from the bottle, and the faulty tray arrangement. Especially during busy hours, staff experience becomes very important.

Decent restaurant but not something special. The price of 30€ for a steak plate doesn't really cover either the taste or the quantity. My standards is either quality or pricing. None of each was met. I came as a tourist in town and I don't know the level of restaurants in Hamburg but I would prefer a cheaper hamburger and a full stomach than this. If you don't know where to eat now you know the cost and you can choose it if you want a decent and clean restaurant.

I was in the restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime. It was very crowded and narrow. The seating wasn't very comfortable (lots of high tables). The food was tasty, but not particularly hot.

Rump steak was very tasty, the oven vegetables were very bland. Friendly, nice and attentive service. Very loud and a bit hectic in the restaurant. But I'd love to come back to eat a good steak.

We enjoyed it. The quality of the food and the preparation was really fresh and very good. The place was spotlessly clean and tidy, even though it was very busy. The decor is rustic and the service was perfect during our stay.

Prices far too expensive, but not much better than simple fast food chains! a simple burger €8.50 + €4.90 extra as a menu and on top of that another €0.80 for ketchup or mayo. complete rip off! I won't be surprised if they soon charge extra for cutlery and napkins.
