Food as you would expect in an Adriatic restaurant. Came very quickly, rather meat-heavy, the side dishes didn't convince me. The rich salad bar was included. The rooms in the basement were too dark for me personally.

Very nice atmosphere where you can eat delicious food. The staff is very friendly and responds to all requests. We have visited the location several times and are always happy. So read enough, order a table and take a picture of it yourself. I can only recommend it.

After making a spontaneous reservation, we got a free table for 4 people. The rustic, cozy basement restaurant Jelena (formerly Alt Belgrad) has a separate salad bar where guests can put together their own salad plate with delicious and fresh salads. Drinks and food orders were taken quickly. We waited 45 minutes for our order. During this time, the delivery service walked out the door with food at least twice. The waiting time was too long for us and that's why we deducted a star from the food. During our stay no one asked if we would like anything else to drink. A total of 4 different service staff served us and we didn't have a permanent contact person. Therefore only three stars for the service. The table was only adjusted from three to four seats after we arrived. However, we had to wait several minutes standing in the middle of the busy restaurant. That was uncomfortable for us. That's why only three stars for the ambience. The food was fresh and very tasty prepared. The children were given the leftovers of their portion wrapped up to take with them. Good value for money. We'd love to come back!

With my colleagues from Frankfurt in Emden. The food was delicious and the steak in particular gets 5 stars. The owner and all the service staff were super friendly and quick. Above all, the owner and her panther-patterned shoes gave us a lot of laughs. We'll visit the restaurant again when we're back in Emden.

The Mediterranean resterraunt Jelena has very good food, simply great. The crisp salads that you can put together yourself are really tasty. There is a nice atmosphere there that makes you relax! I would go there again and again. Price and performance is top. Can only recommend it.!😀👍

Very tasty food,😋 and the salad bar is definitely a hit, I haven't found such a delicious salad bar in a long time. The service was courteous and everyone was nice as they were. We had food: sliced ​​turkey and schnitzel in the house style. Our dog also got a treat after paying. What we thought was great was that the owners were asked if our dog was allowed a treat. What a beautiful, cozy, great place. An extremely fresh, rich salad buffet with a large selection. I was very pleased with the very personal service, as some places simply don't have it anymore. So that you simply feel comfortable in this restaurant. A wide selection of drinks is also available. The two of us went to the restaurant for dinner. The prawns in a very tasty garlic sauce were perfectly prepared and simply delicious. I've eaten bruschetta in restaurants and wondered how anyone managed to mess something up like that. In this restaurant, this traditional starter is an absolute hit: wonderful, homemade bread with a mega-tasty topping The zander served left nothing to be desired and was perfectly prepared. An equally generous portion on the plate to fill you up. This is how you can make people happy with a dish. The grill plate was a real surprise, beautifully prepared meat, plenty of choice and a very pleasant portion size. Personally, I can only recommend this restaurant in Emden

Dieses Restaurant ist einfach Spitze! Das Essen war hervorragend, genauso das freundliche Personal. Auch das Salatbuffet bietet reichliche Auswahl, auch hier ist der "Kartoffelsalat von Mama" sehr zu empfehlen!!

Ate there last Sunday evening on a recommendation (the demands are different). The food was ok, the prices weren't. I don't understand why so many reviewers rave about the salad bar here: little selection, run of the mill. Waited a long time for the main course (glass long empty; salad, which I generally like to have as a side dish, eaten in the meantime. "Everything good? Are you satisfied?" without waiting for an answer...). At some point - we continued to wait for the main course - there was a sudden grab from behind: the now empty salad plate was cleared away and the used cutlery was thrown onto the napkin for further use. Heaven! We also can't understand the positive comments about the ambience: above the table there is a bright spot in absolutely cold white, completely oversized table legs (where should the feet go?), and despite a reservation, there is a cat table right at the door, the handle of which was picked up by those who picked it up : Drafty, constant through traffic. Until that evening, tipping was second nature to me...

We were there yesterday because of the many positive reviews and can only confirm them and definitely recommend the restaurant. We sat outside, but the restaurant also made a very good impression inside. The food was really delicious, especially the Duvjec rice deserves a special mention. We had Serbian bean soup, robber's plate, meatball filled with sheep's cheese, tzatziki and a mixed plate of liver all with salad from the buffet. The portions were quite large and very appetizingly prepared. The service staff were all very friendly and attentive. Keep it up. We will definitely come back when we are in Emden again.

The best dish in the city, kudos to the chef and the first league

We, as a couple, spontaneously showed up there and although all the tables outside seemed to be reserved, we were allowed to sit outside. Bruschetta, broccoli medalions and shepherd's steak were very tasty and cooked to perfection. The service was good to very good. The ambience is good outside, cozy to rustic inside, where the salad bar can also be found. Prices are ok. Recommended. Oh yes... We were there on Monday, various other restaurants are closed in Emden and the surrounding area, very positive.

Also sorry leider unter aller Kanone es waren Haare am Schnitzel des Sohnes die Surf and Turf Platte für 2 war jetzt leider auch nicht der Knaller Lachs im Mehl versenkt und Tot gegart. Steak steht in der Karte wir grillen auf Lava Stein immer Rosa wünsche werden berücksichtig naja auch hier war es leider durch und nicht genießbar. Sehr schade

Was delicious. You could also prepare a plate from the salad bar to accompany the dish. schnitzel with fries It was also very tasty and you could also get a salad with this dish. Tagliatelle with salmon This meal also received a very good rating. There were also enough pieces of salmon in the dish. For some others you have to look for them. With a large bottle of water, a cola, a glass of wine and the above-mentioned dishes we paid €60. Quality of the food was very good 👍🏻 The staff was super friendly, very family atmosphere. Update I was here again with my two brothers and both the Gtilktelker and the Cevapcici were able to convince us. 3x5* A very positive surprise. Robber's plate and cevapcici were ordered, everything was very tasty, a decent portion and special requests were fulfilled. We left thrilled and full.

We have been coming to the restaurant for years whenever we are in Emden and celebrated my birthday there two years ago. Everyone was very happy, the food was delicious, the staff was very nice and, above all, they took great care of my granddaughter (6). She was given the food she wanted, not off the menu. We always go there. It's a little tight there but that doesn't matter. Don't take the complaining of a few guests to heart, there are people you can't please. Otherwise you'll probably just go to a chip shop. Carry on as before

Food was plentiful and okay. The service was friendly but seemed very stressed. I didn't like the ambience that much. I have never experienced this pressure after less than 2 hours in the restaurant to pay even though you had ordered something else. . I won't visit the restaurant again.

We took the Jelena record. First of all, there is salad to mix yourself from the salad bar. The Balkan-style food tastes OK but has no unique selling point. Speak for me...when I'm in Emden you can go there, but I wouldn't make the journey to eat from Leer.

Great steaks and a nice salad buffet

Wir reisten am 19.08.2023 an und waren Gäste in oben genannten Hotel. Da ist es naheliegend, dass man das Restaurant Jelena besucht. Hier gibt es auch eine Außenbewirtschaftung und Parkplätze sind überall ausreichend vorhanden. Wir waren gespannt, ob sich etwas zu 2019 geändert hatte, aber vorab, es war alles beim alten. Die Räumlichkeiten hatten sich kaum verändert, nettes Personal und gutes Essen. Wir bestellten gefülltes Schweinefilet (Tomate und Käse) mit Tomatenreis und Salatbeilage. Außerdem Hähnchenschnitzel mit Gemüse (frische Pilze, rote Paprika und Zucchini). Wir bekamen unsere Getränke sehr schnell und auf das Essen mussten wir nicht lange warten. Dieses war gut angerichtet. Aufs Haus bekamen wir noch ein Gläschen Pflaumenwein. Fazit: Hier ist alles gut, gerne wieder.

I've been going to this restaurant for decades, the predecessor was Alt Belgrad but it has remained in the family. All dishes were super delicious! Super nice service! My favorite in Emden when it comes to Mediterranean cuisine.

Sauber, Leckeres Essen/ Gerichte, Perfektes Steak schön saftig 👌 passend dazu leckere Bratkartoffeln. Frische Salatbar, aufmerksame freundliche Bedienung. Tolle Atmosphäre. Wir kommen gerne wieder. 😋

Wir kommen nicht wieder. Nicht besonders freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Fleisch war sehr gut der Reis jedoch ziemlich weich, wie gekauft, nicht lecker, sehr schade.

Das Jelena ist ein wirklich gutes Restaurant, mit gutem Essen. Wobei hier das Preis Leistungsverhältnis etwas hinkt. Wir hatten eine Platte für zwei Personen und meine Frau muss sich glutenfrei ernähren. Somit wurde die Reichhaltigkeit der Platte um einiges eingeschränkt. Leider zum unveränderten Preis. Auch hat sich der Preis bei der onlinekarte zur Speisekarte im Laden um einiges verändert. Die Speisen waren im Laden im Schnitt um 3 Euro teurer. Trotz allem kann man im Jelena gut essen.

Top Top Top Restaurant!!! Zwar ohne Vorbestellung an einem Freitag abend noch einen Tisch für zwei bekommen, aber wer hier gespeißt hat ahnt, das das pures Glück war. Sehr gut geführtes Restaurant, äußerst lecker zubereitete Speisen (Optik und für den Gaumen ). Der gute Service zeichnet sich in seiner Präzision und ohne Hektik aus. Der Abend war ein Genuß!!!

Wir waren spontan auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant zum Abendessen und sind hier gelandet. Eine etwas verwinkelte und heimelige Gaststätte, sehr gemütlich, sehr sauber und mit guter Hintergrundmusik zum Essen. Man kann aber auch draußen schön sitzen. Das Essen war fantastisch, ebenso der Service und das Ambiente. Das Essen wurde schnell und heiß serviert. Es war schön und appetitlich angerichtet. Das Fleisch und das Gemüse waren auf den Punkt, das Tzaziki war extrem lecker und das Brot dazu war noch warm. Wir wurden zu jedem Gang (Vor- und Hauptspeise) einmal gefragt ob alles in Ordnung ist, der Service war immer freundlich, aufmerksam und präsent. Zum Schluß bekamen wir noch einen Absacker auf‘s Haus. Fazit: Jelena ist absolut empfehlenswert. Sollte man auf keinen Fall verpassen, wenn man in der Gegend ist!

Einfach klasse. Wer in Emden ist, sollte das Restaurant Jelena nicht verpassen. Die Auswahl ist reichlich und das Essen (in meinem Fall der Räuberteller) ist einfach auf dem Punkt. Lecker, ausreichend, toll angerichtet und perfekt gegart. Das Personal ist mega aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Atmosphäre lädt zum Wohlfühlen ein. Wir haben knappe 77€ für 2 Vorspeisen, 2 Hauptgerichte und 5 Getränke bezahlt. Preis-Leistung mega.
