Delicious food, great staff, we'll definitely come back, highly recommended!!

The steak and fish platters were excellent. The homemade potato salad was also delicious. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I would definitely come back.

I don't understand the good reviews. The fries weren't salted, and the salad from the buffet wasn't very tasty. The cordon bleu was smothered in hollandaise sauce, which I found very unappetizing, especially since it wasn't mentioned on the menu for the meat platter. The garlic sauce was simply heavy mayonnaise with garlic. A real shame.

We were in Emden with our motorhome and were hungry. The restaurant was 500 meters from the campsite. We ordered a grill for two people and picked it up on foot. The food was super delicious, we were full, and if I'm in Emden again, I'll definitely be going there 🤗🤗🤗👏👏👏

A pleasant restaurant with very good food. The steaks are outstanding. Only the wine list isn't worthy of its name. If they offered a nice red wine from Italy, Spain, or France to accompany the steak, I would give it 6 stars. Seriously, don't leave your excellent steaks alone; let them loose on your guests with good wine.

Very, very tasty food, well-seasoned, and really decent portions. I skipped the salad bar, ;-) It was quite busy, but it's still a shame that the staff walked by a few times, saw that your drink was empty, but didn't ask if you wanted anything else. So, as usual, I skipped dessert and coffee to finish. I saved the gels, but that's a shame, since for me, it's part of the experience.

We won't be visiting this restaurant again. We ordered a meat platter for two, a liver dish, a minced steak with tzatziki, and a salad. The latter, despite ordering something else, was served with dressing and had to be returned. The liver was good, the meat platter was small (3 small pieces of meat per person), but the tzatziki was forgotten and, after ordering twice, was brought so late that the minced steak was almost cold. 4 out of 5 guests weren't impressed with the food.

We've been in Emden for five days and have eaten here three times already. The food is very good and delicious. The staff is very friendly. It's definitely worth it.

When we arrived, there were "Reserved" signs everywhere outside. We asked the manager if there was room inside: "If you want, sit outside." Great, we sat down, and he came over immediately, ordered drinks, and brought us the menu. A great recommendation, which we also ordered. The grill platter for two was AMAZING! He kept asking if everything was OK, and there was free slivovitz after the meal, and a nice chat... THAT'S what service and good food are all about! 👍

We had a delicious meal here after a day in Emden with the camper. The service was friendly and we received a Dutch menu without any announcement, which made it easier to choose from the delicious dishes. We made a spontaneous reservation for a larger group in the first week of July – 7 adults, two toddlers, and a baby – and were more than pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is by far the most child-friendly I've ever experienced. They offered a fantastic HAPPY KIDDY BOX. The box contains a toy for a boy or girl, along with a soft drink. You can choose between cordon bleu with fries, nuggets with fries, or cevapcici with fries. It also comes with a balloon and a lollipop. The highlight for the little ones was a scoop of ice cream from the team – a thoughtful gesture that was very well received. The food was outstanding: The steak was grilled to perfection, tender, and flavorful, a real highlight. The salad bar and side dishes were also fresh, varied, and top-quality. Really excellent value for money. The service was attentive, friendly, and absolutely child-friendly – ​​we felt truly welcome as a family. Thank you very much for this successful evening!

Tonight I ate here with my grandma – I haven't experienced such warm hosts in a long time. A family-run business, with the mother and son serving, the father in the kitchen, and the rest of the family involved as well. They were attentive to both of us, and despite the busy schedule, they checked on us frequently. Generous portions at a perfectly reasonable price – the potato salad made by the mother at the salad buffet is excellent! We'd love to come back!

The food was truly delicious; we had the cevapcici and the stuffed pork fillet. It tasted very good; the rice was juicy, the meat was crispy and fresh from the grill, and the fries were crispy. The sauces had a refreshing garlicky flavor and a fruity, spicy touch. The portions were generous, so we can't comment on the salad. After we started, they asked us several times if they could do anything else for us, and they were very pleased when we asked if we could have a second round of nightcaps. Neither round appeared on the bill. Incredibly friendly and attentive staff, delicious and freshly prepared food, and a very cozy, welcoming, and family-friendly atmosphere.

The food was good. The waiter was very friendly and forthcoming. The waitress didn't work at all, she was unfriendly, she came across as if she didn't feel like it and treated and served the guests differently. Some got a nightcap and we didn't. We wanted to pay and she overcharged the bill for one drink. Unfortunately we noticed later. Although we were asked beforehand what drinks we had.

I was in Emden with my husband for a few days. We found the Mediterranean restaurant Jelena near our hotel. The menu was manageable but still plentiful. The food was extremely tasty and very digestible, although plentiful. The staff was really great. We went to this restaurant 2 days in a row. We are sad that we won't come back to this restaurant until our next vacation. Thank you for these great meals

Hello, after a long day and many kilometers on the highway with 2 children, I had to eat something. I've never been to this restaurant and I'm from another part of Germany. Ambiance was ok. Service was also ok until even better after free ice cream for the children. That was really nice. Food: Hui....My gourmet plate was great. Great meat, great croquettes and great green beans fried in bacon. Securing evidence number 2: 2 children at the start who eat moderately. One plate was empty, the other had a bit of meat left over. No problem, I took over. I'll go there again next time I'm in Emden.

The food is cooked to the right point for medium doneness, it is not dry, tasty, I took a tray designed for 2 people, including a buffet salad while you wait for the ordered dish you can take it at will from the counter in the center of the room, at 9.30 maybe 10 collect the salads and close the kitchen, but overall a restaurant I would give it an excellent rating of 9 out of 10, expert staff.

Food was plentiful and okay. The service was friendly but seemed very stressed. I didn't like the ambience that much. I have never experienced this pressure after less than 2 hours in the restaurant to pay even though you had ordered something else. . I won't visit the restaurant again. After making a spontaneous reservation, we got a free table for 4 people. The rustic, cozy basement restaurant Jelena (formerly Alt Belgrad) has a separate salad bar where guests can put together their own salad plate with delicious and fresh salads. Drinks and food orders were taken quickly. We waited 45 minutes for our order. During this time, the delivery service walked out the door with food at least twice. The waiting time was too long for us and that's why we deducted a star from the food. During our stay no one asked if we would like anything else to drink. A total of 4 different service staff served us and we didn't have a permanent contact person. Therefore only three stars for the service. The table was only adjusted from three to four seats after we arrived. However, we had to wait several minutes standing in the middle of the busy restaurant. That was uncomfortable for us. That's why only three stars for the ambience. The food was fresh and very tasty prepared. The children were given the leftovers of their portion wrapped up to take with them. Good value for money. We'd love to come back!

Above all, the owner and her panther-patterned shoes gave us a lot of laughs. We'll visit the restaurant again when we're back in Emden.

We had food: sliced ​​turkey and schnitzel in the house style. Our dog also got a treat after paying. What we thought was great was that the owners were asked if our dog was allowed a treat. The prawns in a very tasty garlic sauce were perfectly prepared and simply delicious. I've eaten bruschetta in restaurants and wondered how anyone managed to mess something up like that. In this restaurant, this traditional starter is an absolute hit: wonderful, homemade bread with a mega-tasty topping The zander served left nothing to be desired and was perfectly prepared. An equally generous portion on the plate to fill you up. This is how you can make people happy with a dish. The grill plate was a real surprise, beautifully prepared meat, plenty of choice and a very pleasant portion size. Personally, I can only recommend this restaurant in Emden

Dieses Restaurant ist einfach Spitze! Das Essen war hervorragend, genauso das freundliche Personal. Auch das Salatbuffet bietet reichliche Auswahl, auch hier ist der "Kartoffelsalat von Mama" sehr zu empfehlen!!

Ate there last Sunday evening on a recommendation (the demands are different). The food was ok, the prices weren't. I don't understand why so many reviewers rave about the salad bar here: little selection, run of the mill. Waited a long time for the main course (glass long empty; salad, which I generally like to have as a side dish, eaten in the meantime. "Everything good? Are you satisfied?" without waiting for an answer...). At some point - we continued to wait for the main course - there was a sudden grab from behind: the now empty salad plate was cleared away and the used cutlery was thrown onto the napkin for further use. Heaven! We also can't understand the positive comments about the ambience: above the table there is a bright spot in absolutely cold white, completely oversized table legs (where should the feet go?), and despite a reservation, there is a cat table right at the door, the handle of which was picked up by those who picked it up : Drafty, constant through traffic. Until that evening, tipping was second nature to me...
