Emder Fischerstube in Emden

We spontaneously came here on a Friday evening and managed to snag a table for two. Advance reservations are definitely a good idea! It's a bit inconspicuous, as we didn't see the restaurant's name from the outside – it's just a restaurant attached to a hotel. The service, food, and ambiance are great; I don't understand why there have only been 20 reviews so far. The menu is small; we had the Labskaus and one of the fish platters. Both were very good. The service was attentive, friendly, and seemed well-trained. The drinks and food arrived quickly.

We are over 60 years old and were greeted with a friendly "you" (plural). At first, I thought it was the royal "we" until I realized the young waiter was taking advantage of us. That might be acceptable in a kebab shop, but we're used to something different. The food was very good.

We arrived at 5:30 p.m. and managed to get a table. It's very rustically decorated, which isn't necessarily my taste, but that's a personal preference. The service and food were very quick and good. We were greeted with a herring salad and homemade bread. And to finish, we had a Frisian spirit, lit and served with a rhyme by the waiter. Thank you so much for that! Thumbs up for this restaurant, which is attached to a hotel.

Well - unfortunately my starter and main course were both out. Service is friendly but a bit slow… 2 waiters for 4 tables and you still sit in front of empty plates and glasses for over 10 minutes. Worth an experience, but not necessary a second time.

Hello, I was there to eat kale last night, the service was very friendly and had a good sense of humor. The restaurant has a great ambience and the food there is very appetizing, kale at its best. I can only recommend this place to everyone. 100% great in all respects, including the first-class toilet. Wunnemoi Greetings Schulz.

We were in the very rustic but elegantly furnished restaurant in the evening during the week. The service was extremely friendly and very attentive. Vegetarian diets were also taken into account when greeting us from the kitchen. Despite the initially very loud international guests, we were able to enjoy the evening and the food very much. Both the fish, meat and vegetarian dishes were convincing (the vegetarian burger was very tasty and the patty was also very juicy - recommended!). The dessert (for which we unfortunately had to wait a bit) was also very tasty. Requests for changes were accepted at no extra charge. For an evening with mixed needs, the Fischerstube was definitely the right choice.

Unfortunately there is only one star. The service is very friendly and can't do anything for the chef. Unfortunately our fish plate went back to the kitchen. Mushrooms were lukewarm, the sauce was just a cold foam. The fried potatoes were great. The crabs were forgotten and cold. Sure, we were offered to warm it up, but what is warmed fish? I had had almost identical food the day before and it was great. The greeting from the kitchen was TOP. It's a shame, it's a shame.
