I really can't say anything bad about this place. If you ever find yourself in Goslar, I highly recommend it.

The ambiance at Jacob's is pleasantly modern, furnished without seeming cold. The service is friendly and fast. The food, in contrast, was so-so. The gyro meat was rather dry and a bit oversalted, and the souvlaki was also rather dry. The Metaxa sauce tasted very much like a better-quality ready-made dish, but I could have been mistaken. I thought the price was okay. You can do it, but you don't have to. But I'm also quite demanding, especially when it comes to standard dishes.

We ate at Jakob twice during our weekend in Goslar. The service is super friendly, the food is beautifully presented and arrived without a long wait; the ambiance is cozy and refined, and the food and drink menu is very good. Every palate will be satisfied and indulged here. My personal highlight was actually the potato and pumpkin puree from the weekly menu. Dear kitchen: it made me really happy. 😘 Jakob greatly enhanced our stay in Goslar. Many, many thanks to the entire team❤️.

We stopped at Jakobs today, more or less by chance, during our vacation and were more than impressed. The ambiance is truly lovely (even the restrooms are beautifully decorated and very well-maintained). The staff is attentive, friendly, and unobtrusive. But the highlight was the food. We had gyros, souvlaki, liver, and a portion of children's pasta. It was absolutely delicious, served promptly, beautifully presented, and absolutely reasonably priced. Each portion was more than enough to satisfy an adult, and the sauce, in particular, was a great complement to the meat dishes. The accompanying Bayreuth beer was also very tasty. A perfect end to the first day of vacation and definitely recommended for anyone looking for good food in a pleasant atmosphere.

We went there for dinner with two adults and two children. The food and service were good and highly recommended. However, what was very disturbing was the noise level in the restaurant. It had nothing to do with a "relaxed dinner." The noise level was like a train station concourse, and quiet conversation was simply impossible. A real shame for such a lovely restaurant.

A small international restaurant in downtown Goslar. They offer a variety of dishes with a focus on Greek cuisine. The food is very tasty and attractively presented. The portions are just right—not too much, but not too little. The service can sometimes seem a bit wooden and rushed. Otherwise, there's nothing negative to report.

Lovely, relaxed atmosphere. We sat outside in the sunshine, first with a glass of wine, then a bite to eat and a cup of tea. It was great to see locals meeting up here for a bite to eat. The service was excellent: friendly, polite, and attentive.

Basically the same as it used to be at the Schwarzen Schaf: delicious food and freshly tapped beer. Only, you can't just drop in for a quick bite without a reservation anymore. Yesterday, Sunday, August 16, 2025, very pleasant, with only a few people around. And my liver was absolutely perfect.

Food was very bland and burnt, but was quite big for a low price. The waiter was unattentive and gave a sarcastic answer when asked what the spaghetti "oglio" was, even though it was spelled wrong. the second waiteress was Very rude and stated "schade" when we decided to not give a tip for this reason.

We stopped by for a snack. The fries were hot and delicious, and the "brötchen" were more like baguettes, well-filled, and equally delicious. When the weather's nice, you can sit outside and enjoy the view of Goslar's city center.

A quiet, pleasant place with good service and delicious food. The staff also offered some recommendations for typical German dishes. Some relaxing music (appropriate for the location) would have been a 10. The menu is also in English. Great prices. Highly recommended!

Very friendly staff and very good food!

We ate there several times during our stay in Goslar and would like to recommend the restaurant. The dishes (we had a variety of dishes) were all deliciously prepared and served hot and quickly by the consistently friendly, attentive service team (e.g., the spaghetti with fresh pesto, tomatoes, and arugula, simply delicious). You can sit comfortably inside or outside, right on a market square, and the value for money is really good. We felt very comfortable there! All in all, the "total package" is just right!

I got a gyro roll for the first time, for 4.80 each. Super tasty and well-filled. It's cheaper than at Lito, bigger, and the rolls with seeds are tastier too. Will be eating there soon. Very nice and friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Keep up the good work, you deserve more than 5 stars.👍

Two of us went for something to eat and a drink. Luckily, we had reservations. All the tables were full (always a good sign). Very tasty food. We were both very satisfied. Large portions. We stopped in here spontaneously. We found a seat quickly despite being downtown and were served promptly. The selection is very large and the portions were perfectly adequate. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. The price/performance ratio is completely justified. We'll be happy to come back.

At 9:30 p.m., they almost knocked your chair out from under you... Even though it says online that they're open until 11 p.m. It's very uncomfortable outside with everyone rummaging around. It's a shame, given the weather, you'd have liked to sit a bit longer.

I've been there several times and last year I saw the "Gyro rolls to go" offer. 🫣❗️ Since then, I've been getting their "baguettes" (their rolls) more often. 💪 Unbeatable for the size and price. 🤫❗️

We had lunch on Saturday with eight people (a table was reserved). Without exception, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal, and the service was almost perfect. Drinks and food were served promptly and simultaneously. It's not a high-end restaurant, but solid, delicious food in a sophisticated and cozy atmosphere with very friendly staff. The menu is international with a Greek twist. Everything tasted of fresh ingredients and was just as freshly prepared. And the bill was more than fair – we'll be back for more!

We were there 3 times within 2 weeks. The food was really great the first two times, good portions and really juicy. The waiters are always very attentive and nice. Now the last time it was unfortunately a disaster... The portions were halved and we all felt really sick from the food... It's a real shame that the restaurant has lost quality so quickly after such a short time.

We ate there on Friday. It was delicious, but unfortunately, we were given dirty water glasses...that's completely unacceptable and should be recognized by the waiter.

I had dinner there with my girlfriend today. I order the chicken fricassee. After trying it, I immediately had a long bone in my mouth (about 4 cm) and a large piece of cartilage. After 5 minutes a waiter finally came. I explained to him that I didn't want to continue eating the food for those reasons. He took it with him, apologized and sent me a colleague. He asked me unkindly what my concern was. I explained it to him and he just replied: well, that's just the way chicken fricassee is homemade. (By the way, I'm wondering, what about the other dishes? Are they delivered and not homemade?) Well, when we wanted to leave and no waiter came, we went in. There the unfriendly waiter picked us up. I said I wanted to pay for the Coke with a card. Without a word, €12.99 was written on the card machine. I asked him what was that about? He told me that I should pay for the chicken fricassee, since so much cartilage and a bone in the food wouldn't be a reason to give the food back. When I made my outrage at the statement a little more clear, he took the food off the bill. I find the waiter's behavior incredibly cheeky and it had nothing whatsoever to do with customer satisfaction today. That was definitely the last time in the store for us!

Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. First, we were told by a friendly waitress that we could eat outside. But a short time later another, extremely unfriendly waitress came and asked us to leave in an inappropriate tone. This contradictory information and the unfriendly tone had a very negative impact on our visit. Respectful and uniform treatment of guests should be a given - unfortunately that was not the case here. I therefore cannot recommend the restaurant.

The waiter was very unfriendly. When I didn't give him a tip, the remaining money was thrown on the table and I didn't even say goodbye. Something like this overlooks the fact that it is actually quite tasty.

Innerhalb von 6 Wochen, sind wir jetzt zum zweiten Mal in diesem Lokal. Die Gyrosbrötchen waren und sind richtig lecker. Schon im Dezember 2024 war Service, vor allem für die männliche „Service“-Kraft ein Fremdwort. Auch heute wollten wir ein Gyrosbrötchen mit Café und Apfelschorle essen. Zu meinem Leidwesen empfing uns wieder der Herr ohne Servicegedanken. Als wir dann den Cafe zurückgeben mussten, weil er jeweils so extrem bitter war, dass wir ihn nicht trinken konnten, gab es eine schnippische inhaltslose Frage und der Cafe wurde ohne Entschuldigung oder weiteren Aussagen abgeräumt. Für weitere Bestellungen wurden wir ignoriert. Die junge Kollegin, bei der wir bestellen, die unser Essen serviert waren nett und freundlich. Final waren wir zum letzten Mal im Jakob. Vielleicht lassen sich Gyrosbrötchen auch in anderen Lokalitäten in Goslar find. Hierfür würde ich ausdrücklich von einem Besuch abraten.

Das Jakob hat mit dem früheren Schwarzen Schaf nicht mehr viel gemeinsam. Es gibt immer noch griechische Gerichte, wie z.B. das Gyrosbrötchen. Das ist gut belegt und schmeckt auch wirklich gut. Das war es dann leider schon mit den positiven Punkten. Gemütliche s Ambiente? Geht so… Heißgetränke, z.B. Kaffee / Milchkaffee, schmecken nicht und sind sehr bitter (für uns ungenießbar) Das Schlimmste ist der unfreundliche Service! Man sitzt keine 30 Sekunden und wird von einem mürrischen Kellner nach der Bestellung gefragt „Was wollt Ihr haben?“ Entspanntes in die Karte schauen - Fehlanzeige! Den bitteren Kaffee reklamiert gab auch nur eine gelangweilte (fast schnippische) Reaktion: „Der Kaffee schmeckt Euch also nicht…?“ Eine Entschuldigung oder zumindest eine freundliche Reaktion - wieder Fehlanzeige. Wer keinen Wert auf Service legt und schnell ein Gyrosbrötchen oder ähnliches Essen will, kann hier essen gehen. Ansonsten lieber ein anderes Lokal aufsuchen!!

We ordered 2x schnitzel with champions and fries here yesterday. The fries were tasty, but the schnitzel was horrible. It was a ready-made industrial schnitzel from the freezer that was simply cooked in a pan or somewhere else. The edge of the schnitzel was brown, the middle of the breaded area was not. Sorry, but it's not possible to offer guests something like that. We've eaten a lot of schnitzels, but this was by far the worst

We went by chance and we got it right, good service and food.
