The place was packed. It was a storm outside. The service team was great. You could eat at the counter or wait to be seated. The staff were funny and charming. It was a fantastic evening with good food and great people. Highly recommended, and don't be put off if it seems full. It's just as good inside.

Best restaurant on the island! We were there almost every evening. The staff is very friendly, accommodating, and customer satisfaction is paramount. You can order literally any dish on the menu, and everything tastes delicious!

A perfectly organized restaurant. You wait at the counter for a table or eat there. You order your food right away and it's then served at your table. We had fish and a steak, which were delicious, and the portion sizes were appropriate for the price. We waited about 15 minutes for a table, but it was perfectly fine; the restaurant was very busy. After today's visit, we can highly recommend it.

Recommended for fish and more. Discover the sand of beaches all over the world. We're here regularly. It's a must on every vacation.

The food alone is worth a visit to the island. Currently ranked as the best restaurant we've experienced on the North Sea. The fish dishes are fantastic. Open until 2:00 PM, then again from 5:30 PM. This is important for day visitors, because of the return journey.

Very delicious food. I had a fish soup as a starter. It had a very high fish content. Highly recommended. The main course was a fish curry. This was spicy according to my request and also very tasty. The waiter even asked the kitchen what kind of fish was in my fish soup; very good service. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was amazing! The restaurant was busy in the evening, so we had to expect a bit of a wait – but it was absolutely worth it. The staff were very friendly and cheerful. Cafeteria food, nothing more. Unfortunately, the chef's love for the food is completely lacking. If there was love, the guests would notice it too. Unfortunately, frozen and convenience products are used for the most part. Knorr Catering products mixed together and hollandaise from a bag. Frozen croquettes, frozen vegetables that are cooked to death without any flavor, factory-made Camembert. Ready-made frozen dumplings. I miss the freshness here, the in-house production of products. No, boiling a few lettuce leaves and potatoes isn't part of it. The meat was grilled well, but nothing more. The service is fast, and we'd like to have the tables filled again quickly. The prices are simply too high for the quality. Hence, only one star.

We ate fish and enjoyed it very much. We didn't really share one of the waiters' sense of humor, but that wasn't so bad. There was plenty for our son to play with, and we didn't have to wait long for our food.

Delicious food, but unfortunately with a bitter aftertaste We were here two evenings in a row because the dishes on the first evening were delicious, and the service was friendly and quick. The second evening was also delicious, but now comes the big BUT, which really spoils the overall impression. We ordered a small piece of salmon with some broccoli for our 1-year-old daughter. It was clearly labeled as a children's dish. What arrived were two pieces of fish and a large plate full of broccoli. So far, so good. When we received the bill, we were met with a bitter surprise – €26.30 for a children's dish. We've ordered children's portions for our little gourmet in many restaurants – some with Michelin stars – but we've never experienced such a price for a meal. In our opinion, it's a rip-off. A real shame.

Delicious, good atmosphere, friendly service. Grab a table early; it fills up quickly in the evenings during the season. We ate a wide variety of food, including the kids' menu, and everything was good and tasty, and the prices were really reasonable compared to the rest of the island.

There are many restaurants on Langeoog that I would visit again, but In't Dörp is definitely not one of them.

We were at In 't Dörp on Langeoog on June 24, 2025. The food and the friendliness were excellent. We received a very warm welcome. A big compliment to Beate and Ralf.

You can do it, but you don't have to. I had the herring platter. Two medium-sized fillets were okay, but not outstanding. Sitting outside is very comfortable. The service is average, with no fluctuations...

A truly pleasant experience with a relaxed atmosphere and cheerful service. The ambiance could be a bit more inviting. A particularly positive aspect: all fish dishes can be prepared gluten-free, meaning without flour, upon request. The food was pleasantly warm, but the portions could have been a bit more generous. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! Reservations are not possible in advance.

I have to mention Christian and the big Gladbach fan behind the tap (unfortunately I don't know his name 😒) by name. Very good food at an affordable price.

Were there at the turn of the year. Great food, friendly and quick service and a pleasant, modern atmosphere. Tip: since you can't make a reservation and there's a lot of rush there during the season, come as early as 5:15 p.m. - the restaurant opens at 5:30 p.m.

We've been to this restaurant for dinner three times in the past few days and every time it was a pleasure! We tried different dishes, like kale and schnitzel, and everything was delicious. The portions were generous and absolutely sufficient. The atmosphere was pleasant, with atmospheric lighting that was neither too bright nor too dark - just a great experience all around. All we were missing was a good dessert. Unfortunately it wasn't offered. ... and the toilets were very clean, which is unfortunately not the case everywhere. We would be happy to come back on our next visit to the island.

We were really looking forward to it, but unfortunately everything was occupied. Since you can't make a reservation, we could have waited at the counter, but we didn't want to do that either. So unfortunately we had to leave without having accomplished anything and hope for the next time.

I never thought that aside from standing in front of an Apple Store waiting for an iPhone, I would seriously wait in line to eat at that restaurant. It's 100% worth the wait every time. And if you want to eat vegan, you should buy a salad from the supermarket. Schnitzel and Kölsch, nothing more is possible.

We were quickly asked if we would like something to drink and they came quickly. Not offering a single vegan dish in 2024 is not up to date. The alternative that was available to the vegetarian meal was vegetables with rice, which would have been okay if it wasn't frozen vegetables. And then a price of 20€? That just doesn't work at all. Even if the vegetables had been served with meat. The service was not very attentive and the plates were only removed from the table after payment was made. all very unfortunate

Despite all the stress, the service remains relaxed with a quick message on its lips. The meat was very tender and worth the price.

The four of us ate and drank very well there. The meat and fish dishes were very good, the vegetarian Schupfnudeln could have had some sauce or something similar. All change requests were fulfilled at no extra charge. It's also very comfortable to sit in if you get a seat. Reservations are not possible. Service staff attentive and very friendly. Prices are typical for the island but still reasonable and justified given the quality. Gladly again.

Everything was great... starting with the reception at the counter... the nice and friendly atmosphere... then the well prepared and tasty food... the service... we felt comfortable and well looked after... thank you very much! !!

Seit Jahren sind wir in jedem Urlaub mindestens 2x dort essen gewesen. Die Preise der weitestgehend immer gleichen Speisekarte sind mittlerweile leider derartig in die Höhe gegangen, daß die Schmerzgrenze erreicht ist. Weder die Qualität noch die Raffinesse der Gerichte rechtfertigen solche Spitzenpreise. Die sind nicht mehr als Durchschnitt. Rührei mit Krabben für über 30 Euro oder Schupfnudeln mit Gemüse für 23 Euro ist schon atemberaubend - auch wenn man einen "Inselzuschlag" miteinberechnet. Wenn dann noch der Brokkoli verkocht und alles inklusive Salat auf einem Teller serviert wird, fängt es an ärgerlich zu werden. Der Service ist ok, aber bei weitem nicht mehr so bemüht und flink wie in den letzten Jahren. Schade!!!

A few people in the group who were there earlier had to wait a long time until they were asked by the service for the first time whether they could have something to drink. Some dishes were very tasty (Indian fish goulash), but the vegetarian dishes don't seem to have the highest priority in the kitchen... A bit unimaginative, tasteless and one dish only consisted of baked frozen vegetables... Almost a disgrace at these prices …

The food was ok, but nothing more. The price-performance ratio wasn't more than ok either. The pork fillet was quite manageable, but there was far too much broccoli. The restaurant should have handled the criticism better. The information was received with a shrug of the shoulders, but nothing more. A pity. We probably won't eat there again.

One of the restaurants that still embodies Langeoog, unfortunately there are now too many that take Sylt and Norderney as their model and ruin themselves. Too much is approved under building law.

The other really super good restaurant on Langeoog. You can't make a reservation here, but instead take a seat at the counter and enjoy a drink. You will then be assigned a free table relatively quickly. The food is delicious and worth the price. The staff is very friendly and always good for a funny saying. Here you immediately feel welcome and enjoy the evening. Every food that came out of the kitchen looked great and probably tasted the same. We had plaice fillet and asparagus one evening and vice versa the second because it was simply a poem.

The price-performance ratio is totally right. The food is very good and the service is courteous. What you see here is the PORK FILLET KISSE

We had a lovely evening at in't Dörp on Saturday. Service was super nice and the food was great. I can't understand the last review. The price is directly behind the food. Everyone can then freely decide what they want to eat. After the great schnitzel with asparagus and boiled potatoes I was totally full, the price was absolutely okay. I almost couldn't finish the lettuce leaf with tomato 😉. The meat comes from the butcher shop in Esens, just the way everyone would like it - short distances and quality. If you don't want to pay this, you can buy ready-made schnitzel from the supermarket for €4. We say thank you and would be happy to come back.

I ate a schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce and fries there yesterday. 23.40 euros!! Ohh!! But at least there was a lettuce leaf and a small slice of tomato!! I'm happy to do without and will definitely not come back!

Die durchweg überwiegend guten Bewertungen sind für mich nicht zu verstehen. Das ganze Essen bestand aus Fertigessen. Joghurtsalatdressing eindeutig aus einer Flasche. Die Kartoffeln aus dem Glas und kurz aufgewärmt, genauso die Möhren, völlig ohne Geschmack. Den rotbarsch war auch Tiefkühlkost. Wollen es die Touristen nicht merken ? Das Lokal ist immer voll. Ich finde ein solches Essen eine Frechheit. .

Nice restaurant, but the tables are very close together in places

This restaurant impresses with the anonymous, cheap ambience of a retirement home dining room, which harmonizes perfectly with the average age of the predominantly geriatric audience. The menu, designed with the sophistication of a furniture store canteen, offers the usual suspect meat and fish dishes with boring side dishes such as fries or stir-fried vegetables at outrageous prices. For the main course I chose a plaice, which fell apart when I tried to fillet it and was completely tasteless. I've had better fish from Iglo. The fish and the bland, overcooked potatoes were drowned with cheap hollandaise from a tetra pack. My companion's pork tenderloin, appropriate for a motorway service station, was served with frozen broccoli and croquettes, which is outrageous for almost 30 euros. The almonds carelessly draped over it could no longer influence the overall impression. There is one star for the friendly waiter, who can't do anything about the food. Conclusion: Overpriced and poor quality restaurant. I have never eaten worse on Langeoog.

You may have to bring some time with you, as reservations are not used. So arriving on time at the beginning of opening hours will secure your table. Otherwise, you linger at the counter and take a look at the menu. Price/performance is right in our opinion.

Tables are very close together, so the atmosphere is a bit loud. Later on it got better and became more comfortable. Plaice was fantastic, salmon with potatoes for 30 euros is not justified. Service was super nice, very attentive
