I had the best steak of my life tonight. The appetizers, my husband's main course, and the dessert were also excellent! The service, atmosphere, and overall experience were outstanding! We'll definitely be back.

The food deserves more stars than are available here. The dune runner is sensational in every detail.

The food was absolutely delicious. The drinks were also very tasty. The staff were super cool, attentive, and very friendly. Food and drinks arrived at the table very quickly. I can wholeheartedly recommend Kombüse 31.

The waitress was friendly, but unfortunately the food was a disaster.

For whatever reason, I just ate here for the first time, and I have to say, I'm annoyed I didn't eat here sooner. Everything was just perfect. The food, service, and ambiance deserve the 5 stars.

A comfortably furnished restaurant with friendly service. Delicious and high-quality food. Since there aren't many tables available, reservations should be made early. In good weather, you can also sit outside, traditionally in a beach chair. Fish sandwiches are also sold in the entrance area during the day. Definitely recommended! 1+*****

Quite nice, tasty. But nothing more.

We were at Kombüse 31 for the second time yesterday. Absolutely fantastic food at reasonable prices. A grilled platter with grilled vegetables and fried potatoes was perfect. The cook's plate came with two fish fillets of your choice; I had sea bass and salmon fillet, with salad and fried potatoes. It couldn't be better. Excellent value for money. Today I had a pike-perch fillet on pointed cabbage with pumpkin risotto. Everything was perfect.

A friendly waitress and the finest fish. The three of us shared the surprise starters, which went perfectly with the main course. The vegetables and fish were cooked to perfection.

Very nice restaurant with very good food and a good selection. The fish soup cost €15 and was generous. It came with aioli and baguette. The baguette, however, was mediocre. The plaice at the next table was very large and apparently very tasty. Service was fast and attentive. Even better the second time. The plaice and salmon were a dream. And even the pan-fried vegetables as a side dish were incredibly delicious. The creme brulee was unfortunately cold, but it tasted good and was still too expensive at €8. Note: The next table of five people had to wait quite a long time for their food. So that can happen, too.

Cool atmosphere, great for chilling and relaxing. We were there with kids, and they had fun too.

On the way to the beach, we wanted a small snack: fried fish in a sandwich. The wait was 7 minutes, which was OK. Unfortunately, the fish was cold inside but cooked through 😡. So it was warmed up in the microwave? Four small fish sandwiches for €30. We had to throw the tasteless (watery) fish with a half-sized batter shell in the nearest bin on the way to the beach. While we were waiting, the fried fish was taken off the menu.

The best food on Langeoog - even at lunchtime! We're looking for a delicious lunch with the family. All the restaurants only offer good food in the evenings - not so the galley! The selection of great dishes, the service, and the quality of the food were first-class. And even though we were already full from the main course, we had to try the desserts - and we weren't disappointed! Of course, the galley isn't one of the cheapest restaurants, but it's definitely worth every penny! We'd love to come back!

Ah, Galley 31... Such a lovely atmosphere! We had a really nice seat, pleasant background music - a great place! The food was delicious (okay, the plaice could have used a bit less fat on the plate), but the service was unfortunately terrible. Drinks were forgotten twice, and later we sat for ages in front of our empty plates. No one asked if we wanted another drink (there was plenty of opportunity and need 😉). We didn't feel like dessert after all. The service was nice, no doubt about it. But the overall impression is that the very nice surroundings left a bitter aftertaste. We can only hope for better times.

Absolutely fantastic food! The staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere is truly lovely and maritime. Highly recommended.

Let's start with the positives. We got a table outside with a great beach chair to snuggle up in, but unfortunately that's where it ends. As far as restaurants go, Langeoog isn't cheap, but that's understandable. However, I find it very annoying when one waiter only brings you half the food and you then have to run after your food. When the other waiter then brings you the rest of the dish in an annoyed manner, that's it for me. As a waiter, you're supposed to be familiar with the fairly clear menu and know what goes into each dish. On top of that, every salad came with a very spicy sauce, which unfortunately wasn't listed on the menu. All in all, disappointing.

A wonderful culinary start to our vacation! We highly recommend the "Fish in Love" menu. It consists of five (freely selectable!!) fish fillets of excellent quality (our favorite is the pike-perch) and two side dishes of your choice – a great idea! Unfortunately, our reservation was lost, but luckily, a solution was quickly found. The staff looked after us well, even if the atmosphere was a bit too casual for our taste at times. We'd love to come back!

An absolute yes on my first visit. Now, 14 days later, I can't say the same anymore. I had Finkrnwerder plaice, and there are a few things I can criticize. The plaice was barely seasoned and not cooked well. On top of that, it was served on a plate that was far too small, with little bacon but a lot of leek. I found the few fried potatoes under the plaice. And there was no fish knife served with it. I didn't like it at all this time. My husband's cook's plate was good. The staff were very nice.

There were four of us in galley 31 and we received a friendly welcome. The service was very good. We all ate fish and were very satisfied, as it was fresh and delicious (we had plaice, pike-perch, and sea bass). The side dishes (green beans, lentils, pan-fried vegetables, salad, and fried and baked potatoes) were also impressive. The wines were also delicious. We would have liked to try dessert, but the portions were so generous that it wasn't possible. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience in a tasteful and harmonious ambience. We highly recommend this visit to fish lovers.

The service and kitchen teams aren't working together. We waited over an hour for our food. The cook is stuck in the 80s, with little flavor and bland presentation on the plates.

A really wonderful restaurant in the village center. It is very tastefully decorated. The service is very polite and attentive. The selection of food was very good and varied. We really enjoyed the food there. We reserved a table again straight away! 😉

Definitely recommended. Friendly, relaxed service and delicious food at local prices. The fish rolls at the outside counter were the cheapest on Langeoog.

Inside, the galley has a very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We bought a matjes roll on hand. It was tasty, but not as we expected with tomato and cucumber and without salad. The price is good at €4.

My partner and I stopped here on the first day of our trip. We didn't make a reservation and got the last free table of the evening (so a reservation would be good), since we came right after it opened, we were just lucky. The service was very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was very nice. I had the steak party surf and turf platter and here is my only criticism, it lacked spice power, be it garlic or chili, I would have needed more of both. My partner gives his meal (three types of fish fillets) full marks. Overall, we would like to come back on our next vacation.

We would eat here again at any time. The very young waiters did a great job, calm, professional, attentive and nice! The restaurant is beautifully furnished and cozy. In the end, it's the food that counts and we also enjoyed it very much. We were all thrilled and our little ones also got their money's worth.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is great. The service seemed a little inexperienced. Unfortunately, the beef fillet was so tough and fibrous that I couldn't eat it. I don't think that such a piece of meat should be sold as a fillet for the price of €37 for 250g including side dishes. After consultation, the waiter responded to the criticism by saying that the kitchen wanted to apologize for it with a drink. When I said I didn't drink alcohol there was no response. Side dishes were great, unfortunately the beef fillet is terribly tough, fatty and not edible.

Very good food in decent portions, served in a friendly manner. We ate there three times in a row. The prices are still ok, compared to other restaurants on the island. The fact that you can choose the side dishes is also great. ...And our dog was also happy that he was allowed to come in.

The place is very nicely decorated. The waiter was completely rushed, with little time. Two dishes were missing from the advertised lunch menu just 2 hours after it opened. We didn't feel welcome and left after a drink. It's a shame because the food at the next table looked good.

Very tasty and well-balanced food. The service was friendly, attentive and always on hand, the waiting times were standard and completely reasonable. The ambience itself is also very tasteful, but there is a point deducted here because we were here in winter, sitting next to the entrance area, and it was dragging. That was a bit annoying, but otherwise everything was really good - highly recommended!

Incredibly nice service. Great ambience. Very comfortable. The food was excellent. A small downer was the tasteless salad. The rest is really good. We have been there many times and have always been very satisfied. The meat at the Surf & Turf steak party was on point, prawns too, fries crispy, side salad fresh and tasty. You sit well and receive friendly service, everything was perfect for us.

Great. Anyone who is on Langeoog and hasn't eaten here has missed something. We had fish (plaice, redfish, wolffish, zander matjes). To the point. Matjes with fresh, homemade sauce. Side dishes delicious. Very attentive, very charming service. Full marks with asterisks.

Picked up a herring roll from a street vendor. Long queue because the employee disappeared into the kitchen for each roll one by one. Poorly trained or simply exhausted from the day's work? The roll with a small fillet and half a lettuce leaf. Onions were out. Sauce not provided. All in all, pretty unloving. A little more effort please. A delicious fish sandwich isn't rocket science...

Friendly service, very comfortable and exceptional seating outside in beautiful beach chairs that allow you to sunbathe while eating in a comfortable atmosphere. The food is very good, we had different types of fish, all of which were deliciously prepared. The fried potatoes and beans were also delicious. Overall, an absolute recommendation on Langeoog and worth a visit.

Yesterday we were here for dinner for the first time and certainly not the last :)) The zander fillet was excellent, the soup beforehand was a good portion, and the service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant was well attended and yet there was always a kind word for every guest. Just the way it should be. A great evening :)) Thank you for the fact that hospitality is practiced here in the restaurant in the adjacent hotel!! Absolutely recommended!!

As loyal Langeoog vacationers, we were in the galley for the first time today and were thrilled. The entire service staff is very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is appealing and cozy. All dishes were very tasty. We'll be back.

I ate the most delicious fish rolls (Matjes) here during my entire vacation on the North Sea. And the price is unbeatable (€4 for a herring roll). Fresh salad, fresh onions and delicious herring. Keep it up! Top recommendation.

We came across this restaurant today by chance and have to ask ourselves why we didn't discover it sooner, otherwise we would have been spared many disappointments. We really had a very nice, pleasant evening in this small but nice restaurant. The service was absolutely perfect, very attentive without being intrusive and very friendly. You felt welcome, the atmosphere was pleasant and cozy. Overall, the food was very good and the price-performance ratio was reasonable. Luckily there were no unnecessary frills like fries with packets of Parmesan and truffles. The food was rather down-to-earth but perfectly prepared. All in all, I can fully recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Langeoog; a visit should be on their must-do list. Thank you for the lovely evening.

We were very excited. Great service, attentive and very responsive to the children. There was even children's cutlery. The salmon was super tasty and we liked that you could choose your own vegetable and starch side dishes.

Good restaurant. The food is very tasty, but I would have liked more when it came to eating from the children's menu (especially pasta). We had to wait a long time for our food, but that certainly doesn't always happen.

We went there based on a recommendation and were looking forward to dinner. The atmosphere is very tasteful and we really liked it. We can't say anything about the food because we didn't get any food. After 50 minutes we asked, then they said: another 10 minutes. After 10 minutes nothing. Then we said it was in the sideboard and on our table in 2 minutes. Then the message: oops, there was a different table and our food took that long again. We then left - we had chips because it was already 9 p.m. We are now looking forward to breakfast tomorrow.

Waiter pets dogs and then brings the food, baah. The strong smell of fish in the restaurant also suggests a lack of hygiene.

We were there twice. Once in the back indoor area and once outside. The ambience is very nice. The interior is designed with great attention to detail. You sit quietly and feel completely comfortable. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The portions are large. There was nothing that wasn't tasty. From the fish, to the crabs, the meat, and the vegetables, everything is freshly and deliciously prepared.

The food tastes really good and the portion size is also decent. What's special is that you can put together your own fish dish according to your own taste. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The feel-good atmosphere is very successful thanks to authentic decoration and smaller rooms.

The food was very tasty and large portions! You sit very privately and in peace. However, the fried potatoes were not completely cooked in one portion and the service was a bit “exhausting” with advice about waiter service etc. Nevertheless, I would come back for the breakfast plate.

I had the Steakparty Surf and Turf dish, unfortunately the meat was very disappointing! Although it was excellent as a fillet, the beef fillet steak was very fatty and super tough. I had to spit out some bites because I couldn't chew them. I didn't even try the last piece because it got worse with each bite. The pork was also very fatty in some places (not on the edge but inside), but not as bad as the beef. Unfortunately, when I asked the waiter about it, all I got was "Oh, I'm sorry" and then he left again. The herb butter was also more like butter because it just didn't taste like anything. The bacon on the fried potatoes was black! The prawns and crabs tasted very tasty and were well seasoned (at least a small ray of hope). In the end, I still left the restaurant with a bad feeling.

Out of 5 days on Langeoog we ate there on 2 evenings. Absolutely friendly staff, delicious food and value for money was also very good. Highly recommended. We'd love to come back.

I just walked out of galley 31 completely stunned. Before my vacation, I looked into the island's restaurants extensively and the menu and the communication via email were very accommodating. The food was a disaster: the East Frisian tapas consisted of pots from the supermarket, there was herring, Mettwurst and other things in terrible mayonnaise. Everything out of the bucket. The recommendation of the day was plaice fillet with fries and salad. It was clearly a frozen product, straight from the cupboard. The breading came off and it didn't taste like anything. An absolute disaster, fresh fish is advertised here. The fact that the Gintonic only saw a gin from a distance beforehand completes the picture. I skipped dessert.

The service was friendly and reasonably quick. The ambience is nice. But the food wasn't really satisfactory: there are fish dishes on a modular basis. Two or three fish fillets from a list of 6 types of fish as well as a filling side dish and a vegetable side dish. Unfortunately, some of the fried potatoes were black and the bacon beans were cold. But the main problem was the fish: I had gurnard, sea bass and plaice fillet. Unfortunately the plaice wasn't a plaice, I'm very sure it was a dab. You can eat it well, but the price per kilo is far below that of plaice. If plaice was not available, you should note this on the menu or when ordering. So significant point deduction.

We had dinner today in Galley 31. Good restaurant with friendly service, which was provided by two very friendly trainees. We chose the Hot Tip (fish platter for 2 people with a bottle of wine and a bottle of water) and were not disappointed.

Good shop. Nice combination of restaurant and decoration shop. Service nice, but a bit clumsy. Food and wine good, but lacking that final spark that could be extracted from the store.

Had plaice of Finkenwerder today. Potato half fried. Acrylamide sends its regards. The fish was swimming in frying fat. Bacon cubes partly black. Plus a block of approx. 25g herb butter on top!!!!!! Something like that doesn't work at all. I am an ambitious cook myself. Please improve for the sake of your guests. And that for €24. Service communicated. She just said that she regretted that it wasn't tasty. Unfortunately I let myself be seduced by the online pictures. I can't say anything about the rest of the dishes. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos of the food.

The galley is ambitious. Based on this, 4 stars must be enough in the rating, because the finishing touches are still missing in one place or another. Compared to other restaurants on Langeoog, the Kombüse is certainly one of the better ones. The atmosphere is friendly, modernly decorated with lots of seaside items, some of which you can also buy. The service is very attentive, takes its time and remains friendly and distant, emulating the tone of the staff at large hotels. On the menu you can see an attempt to be more creative and sophisticated than the Langeoog average, which is largely successful. Our meals were well prepared and tasty, and we were well served with both starters and main courses. Only the last whistle or the last detail in the preparation was sometimes missing - if you want to complain about something. In any case, we had a very nice evening there and would happily recommend the galley.

Great service and great ideas on the memory card: The East Frisian tapas are brilliant and you can put together the fish platters yourself with fish and side dishes. This is really brilliant and highly recommended.

I haven't been so disappointed with the food in a long time. I was there twice. The first time the tomato soup was cold and the plate was hot. After the complaint, the soup was hot, the plate was cold. Two days later I ordered the chickpea curry. The curry looked great. With fresh blueberries and raspberries. Great! Unfortunately it's cold again. After complaining, I received a plate of unsightly curry without raspberries. When I asked, I was told: "The chef doesn't know if he put any on it!" I know it's hard to get cooks. By the way, the curry cost over €20. To make up for it, I was given a mulled wine.

Zum Restaurant. Wir waren bereits letztes Jahr mehrfach im Restaurant zum Essen. Sehr gutes, geschmackliches Essen und ausreichende Portionen zu noch angemessenen Preisen! Bedienung auch jedesmal sehr freundlich ! Wir tun uns lediglich noch etwas "schwer" damit, dass man sehr direkt "gedutzt" wird...aber da dies auch in manch anderen Restaurants so gehandhabt wird und anscheinend "en vogue" ist, müssen wir uns wohl noch erst daran gewöhnen...

Haben gestern einen sehr guten kulinarischen Abend verbracht. Sehr gute Küche wo Preis und Leistung auf der Insel noch stimmen. Super toller Service die ihr Handwerk noch verstehen Essen und Weine sind sehr gut auf der Karte abgestimmt. Beste Restaurant auf der Insel. Macht weiter so. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Super gemütliches Lokal mit unheimlich tollem Essen und einem von vorne bis hinten aufmerksamen und motivierten Team. Leider erst am letzten Abend entdeckt, aber gegen so manch anderes Lokal mit teuren Preisen und unfreundlichem Service ist die Kombüse31 ein echter Lichtblick. Ich freu mich aufs nächste Mal! :)

Wir waren zum Abendessen hier. Gutes Restaurant mit freundlichem Service, der bei uns von zwei sehr freundlichen Auszubildenden erbracht wurde, die das Handwerk teils besser verstanden haben als so manche Servicekraft. Wir hatten den Heißen Tipp (Fischplatte für 2 Personen mit Flasche Wein und Flasche Wasser) gewählt und wurden nicht enttäuscht.

Moin, Smutje- und Kapitänsteller gegessen, tip top! Sehr lecker, gute Portion und Qualität. Äußerst netter Service! Freuen uns schon auf das Silvester-Büfett! Gruss KKMK
