We have been coming to Langeoog for years... and an evening in the restaurant is always planned... great ambience and service-oriented staff complete the picture of the food.

Best location on Langeoog Not only is the food fresh and of the best quality, but above all the cheerful friendliness of the staff is absolutely convincing!

We ate at high and low tide for the first time. Never again!! Ordered plaice Finkenwerder style. Plaice was out, then we got pollack fillet. It was so dry that I had to drink after every bite. We hardly saw any fried potatoes, so there was mostly bacon and leek on the plate. And all for the same price from Scholle Finkenwerder Art.

Price management sucks. Food comes so quickly it was clear that everything was prepared and not freshly prepared as the price would lead you to hope. Fried potatoes cold and soggy. Add 50% raw onions and the rest burned. The schnitzel could have been out of the bag and the spritzer could have been pre-cooked and was only allowed to jump through the pan for a moment. The side salad was very very little iceberg lettuce. To do this, pull for at least 30 tacks per dish. When it comes to service, you notice a massive lack of skilled workers; everything was thrown at you and handed out from random sources. The boss “Colonel” was also more of a clown 🤡. There are a few other restaurants on Langeoog where the price performance is a lot better.

Waren mit Zwei kleinen Kindern hier, super Service, alle sehr freundlich und auf die Kinder eingestellt. Ging um 17 Uhr ohne Reservierung. Essen war super lecker.

The food and the service were top notch. A great place. Try it, you won't be disappointed. A small menu, which in my opinion means it's fresh and refined. This was the case tonight. We will be going back before we leave the island. 👍

We recently ate there. The food is very standard for Langeooger standards. The price is right, the plates are full and very tasty. The staff is very friendly. Can only be recommended.

The ebb and flow can only be recommended. The ambience is great and the service staff are super personable and friendly. They also have a recommendation, especially when it comes to wine, that hit the spot for us. We reserved a table the evening before and got another one straight away. The dishes are delicious and harmonious. A real culinary delight. I find the price-performance ratio to be absolutely reasonable. The waiting time is fine. We'd love to come back when we're back on Langeoog. The selection of food and drinks is diverse so that everyone should get their money's worth. I really enjoyed my stay with you that evening and felt very welcome as a guest. Thank you for your commitment, which I feel comes from the heart. Thanks.

Always happy to come here. The saddle of lamb with Caesar salad is a hit. You can sit well both outside and inside. Edit: The beach party on August 16th/17th, 2024 was an absolute highlight!! Thank you for the great organization!!

Delicious fried fish with potato salad for 12.20 euros, which is great value for money. The vegan curry is also delicious and a huge portion. And: interesting wines…

Great selection of dishes :) Also vegetarian options, which is great! The map is a bit confusing... The service was friendly and attentive. Prices are a bit high, but acceptable on a holiday island like this.

Initially a flippant, still funny greeting, which then quickly turned into inappropriate words. The children's plate with schnitzel consisted of the same and 3 fried potato slices, plus lots of leek. The Caesar salad was missing parmesan and my sons didn't like the pancakes at all. A pity. We are often on the island and are disappointed by such an impression.

I'm sorry to say, but I've really never experienced anything like this. Upon request, I ordered a waffle to take away. The waffle was 1. not cooked through and 2. full of white egg pieces, so it only tasted like eggs. I got the powdered sugar, not grated, in one piece. In one piece! I don't know what went wrong here, but I was able to put the waffle in the trash can as it was...I'm really disappointed.

Great restaurant with a very nice atmosphere and nice service. We had the fried fish with very tasty potato salad.

The food did not meet our expectations. Unfortunately, there was only a weakly marked selection of vegan dishes, and vegetarian ones were unfortunately not marked. Unfortunately, the so-called “schnitzel” made from pom pom mushroom was not particularly crispy or warmed up; it cannot be compared with a vegan schnitzel substitute. The pork schnitzel wasn't particularly convincing either, it seemed more like a finished product, it was very thin and there was little of a structure to be seen. On the other hand, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was tastefully decorated.

If you have a strange feeling when you enter, you should listen to it and go to another restaurant straight away. Okay, it's our own responsibility, we didn't listen to our first instinct. Host quality was simply poor. You don't have to roll out a red carpet for me and I don't like smooth guys either. However, when I go out and pay a corresponding price for good quality (food is indeed good), I also expect a basic level of service and a welcoming culture. This is not the case here or is only common among regular guests.

We had the vegan mushroom and vegetable lasagna. We were happy that there were three vegan main courses, but unfortunately we were a bit disappointed with the food. Half of the lasagna was sauerkraut; We imagined something different when it came to vegetables. Since sauerkraut is something special, it might make sense to note that on the menu. In addition, the food was unfortunately not heated properly.

It would be nice to sit there if there wasn't always annoying music playing there. Acoustic environmental pollution, the ballermanization of Langeoog is progressing. Should be avoided.

Schönes Ambiente, gute Karte. Auch Vegetarier und Veganer kommen hier nicht zu kurz. Wir hatten Auberginen-Tapa und vegane Pasta. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Preise in Ordnung. Super Lage zentral an der Barkhausen-Straße. Es gab sogar Live-Musik. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gern einmal gern wieder.

Nice restaurant and wine bar - also for staying longer. Very nice service, food was great, good wine selection. We felt very comfortable.

Eating out is more than just good food. A well-kept drink, nice ambience and first-class service. You can find all of that here. And our wonderful service deserves an extra mention. Charming, funny and a joy to work with. Sees everything and sells very well without being pushy. We'd love to come back. A real evening experience.

We tried out the ebb and flow on our Langeoog vacation. We were served our food by the super friendly service staff without a long wait. It was very nicely prepared and tasted delicious. An all-round successful evening. We will definitely come back on our next Langeoog vacation.

We are not on Sylt! Food okay, unfortunately left with a bad feeling due to the poor service. We made the “mistake” and sat outside at one of the numerous empty tables without asking first. We were then skillfully ignored for 15 minutes until we called out to the male waiter. He preferred to see what was going on on the street opposite. A drink came wrong, food was okay but nothing special. It was brought by a very nice lady who deserved the tip otherwise we wouldn't have given anything for the rest. How can you be so annoyed and disorganized in the preseason?

Have eaten there twice so far, very friendly staff, recognized us the second time, I found that pleasant, they were also very nice to the children at the neighboring table. On the first day, daily special fish (pure and not breaded) was eaten with baked potatoes and salad, very tasty, nice combination. On the second day pasta, with white and green asparagus, some parmesan and a little of the asparagus broth as a sauce, very tasty, I like it much better than the constant cream sauces.

A really great and nice team. It was super tasty and we will definitely come back. This restaurant is clearly one of the best restaurants on the island of Langeoog.

Creative cuisine at star level and the ability to read guests' minds. On vacation, for the third evening in a row, I was lucky enough to be able to experience an indescribably great culinary experience at fair prices. From classic dishes to unusual combinations, always the highest quality. Special requests were also responded to flexibly - this is only possible with a talented kitchen. Keep it up!

We sat outside and were warmly welcomed. The service was incredibly child-friendly and immediately brought something to paint. Our food was very tasty and fresh. The toilets are very clean.

We came today with 5 adults and two children and were really hungry. Unfortunately, Mr. M. from the service team was not willing to bring out the friendliness for which the service here seems to be known - if you believe other reviews, for us too. After we were insulted twice in an unfriendly manner, we were happy to move on and were treated more than nicely in Café Leiß. Ergo, no tip for Mr. M. from us.

It was like the tides working together... glass empty, glass full... in between it was stormy.

We were welcomed by the waiter in a North German rustic style, not everyone likes that. The ambience is intentionally maritime, unfortunately with a lot of plastic furniture. The food was very tasty, but the portions were a bit small for the price. What struck me positively was how child-friendly it was.

We were seated as a group at the table facing the counter and unfortunately we couldn't sit in the bright window area. The coffee machine there was very loud. Even worse was the vacuum cleaner that was used to clean during our stay and a paper trash bag that was carried across the place. This didn't make us feel very welcome. Apple strudel and waffles were delicious. Some comments “Cola Zero doesn’t go well with waffles” were inappropriate.

Bester Laden auf Langeoog - sowohl vom Essen als auch vom Personal und Ambiente her. :) Wir sind auch seit Jahren an Silvester da und es ist immer wieder schön und sehr lecker! Andy und seine Crew geben sich immer wieder viel Mühe, was man auch merkt! Hier fühlt man sich wie zuhause:)!

Das Ambiente entspricht dem eines Burger-Diners im Norden, eher auf schnellen Durchsatz angelegt. Das Essen ist o.k., mehr nicht. Verglichen mit anderen Restaurants in der Umgebung fällt das Ebbe und Flut hier deutlich ab. Der Service ist schnell. Die jungen Mädchen sind freundlich bemüht. Den Ton und die Art der männlichen Bedienung könnte man sehr wohlwollend als nordisch originell bezeichnen. Für mein Dafürhalten ist es schlicht unfreundlich und grundlos überheblich. In 8 Tagen haben wir 8 Restaurants ausprobiert, 7 fanden wir besser.

Ganz großes Kompliment! Waren über Silvester auf der Insel und einmal a la Carte Essen und dann nochmal zu Silvester auf der Küchenparty. Super aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service. Immer einen lockeren Spruch parat! Essen geschmacklich auch top. Die Küchenparty war einmalig! Steak, Trüffelpasta, Bratkartoffeln. Alles frisch, alles heiß und die Party danach war einmalig (auch wenn sehr voll, aber das spricht für den guten Ruf;) Auf jeden Fall eines unser Highlights auf der Insel und wir waren jeden Tag da. „Ebbe & Flut“ hinterlässt gemischte Gefühle. Preislich gesehen scheinen 17 Euro für 7 Garnelen mit Beilage überzogen. Hierbei steht nicht der Geschmack, sondern das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis im Vordergrund. Die Einrichtung des Restaurants neigt mehr zu einem Schnellimbiss als zu einem gehobenen Ambiente, was möglicherweise nicht jedermanns Geschmack trifft. Das Personal, insbesondere ein Herr, scheint Verbesserungsbedarf zu haben, was den Gesamteindruck weiter mindert. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass „Ebbe & Flut“ vielleicht nicht die erste Wahl für einen Besuch ist und man eventuell besser an diesem Lokal vorbeigehen sollte.

Moin wir haben heute auf Langeoog geheiratet im sturhuus, sind dann nochmalig und das schöne Restaurant gegangen es ist alles sehr schön dort. Alles schmeckt wie selbst gemacht. Hut ab für solch tolles Örtchen mit viel Liebe gemacht. Unsere Hochachtung vielen Dank an das tolle Essen für 2x für ca insgesamt 100€ aber alles top. Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir waren zwei Abende in folge dort weil es uns am ersten Abend richtig gut gefallen hat. Auch der zweite Abend hat uns nicht enttäuscht. Richtig leckeres Essen, super Service und sehr gemütliches Ambiente. Kann ich nur empfehlen!

Wir waren zum 2.mal dort, haben zwar nur etwas getrunken, dennoch kann ich sagen, eine sehr nettes, gemütlich modernes Ambiente. Tolle Crew, der Chef hat immer einen flotten Spruch parat, der Eierpunsch ist Weltklasse. Beim nächsten Mal wird auch was gegessen 😉

Schönes Ambiente. Unsere beide Essen hatten große Schwächen, die teilweise korrigiert wurden. Service nordisch.
