We had a truly wonderful moment at high and low tide. The schnitzel was lovingly prepared, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside – exactly as you'd want it on an island. The prawns with salad were fresh and delicious, and the accompanying bread was surprisingly fluffy and warm. You can tell that the food here is cooked with heart. The service was friendly, attentive, and pleasantly relaxed. It was quiet in the afternoon, and everything arrived quickly – without any stress or rush. A place where you simply feel comfortable and enjoy good food.

Highly recommended! We were there with our children, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming to kids. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and it was clean. All in all, fantastic!

We arrived at the restaurant with our four wonderful children and asked for a table. The employee (I really hope for the restaurant's sake that it wasn't the manager) asked us: "All of you?" When we confirmed this, he seriously said: "You poor... Fortunately, I've never experienced anything so impossible before! Then we left...

We were there for coffee time. We enjoyed coffee and cake, as well as a non-alcoholic spritzer. The service was excellent, open, always ready with a good joke, and very friendly and quick. Everything was very clean and tidy. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to eat there. For our coffee time, it was very good value for money compared to other providers.

We've been to Ebbe und Flut many times, and because the food and service are so excellent, we celebrated our wedding there. We were completely satisfied and would happily give it 10 stars. All of our guests praised the food, and the service was outstanding. Communication was also always very good and reliable. It's a shame we can only get married there once, but we'll definitely be back. For us, it's the best restaurant on Langeoog (and beyond)!

We only stopped by Ebbe und Flut for a cup of coffee and cake. Therefore, we can't comment on the food. However, the food at the next table looked delicious. The service was excellent and not at all rude. Simply refreshingly different. We would definitely come back if our vacation wasn't already over.

The chicken was raw, and even after re-cooking it was still raw. No apologies, no sorry. We had to pay full price. Clearly: I wouldn't recommend it!!!

The pollock fillet at lunch was tiny. It came with a small baked potato and a green salad for €15. We also had a small waffle with apple compote that had strange, hard sugar lumps in it. The vegan celery schnitzel also came with salad, but unfortunately, it was gritty. Overall, it was expensive and there wasn't much food.

A very cozy restaurant with great service and absolutely fair prices. We had a delicious meal, and there was even a great selection of books and games for the kids to pass the time while they waited for their food.

The restaurant is solid, with decent quality and portion sizes. The price is typical of the island, but it's transparent. We ate here twice within a week. The service is friendly and quite quick; the kids get crayons and a picture, sometimes even two ;-). Overall, highly recommended.

I was absolutely thrilled. Everything is just perfect here. Very friendly service, a great atmosphere, and delicious food. We were lucky to get a table without a reservation, but you shouldn't count on it. Better yet, make a reservation!

A cozy atmosphere. The dishes are rather small in quantity, but expensive. My husband had a veal schnitzel that was lukewarm and slightly burnt, served with a tablespoon of fried potatoes and some cucumber salad. The taste was okay, but it didn't fill you up. The price was €32 - that was a pain! The vegetarian mushroom steak was also dark and "canned." I thought it would be something like freshly fried oyster mushrooms. Overall, the quality of the ingredients seemed rather poor. The preparation and taste were poor. You can't cook like that, friends. I would have done better - really! It should be delicious, inspiring, and satisfying. We don't want to meet anyone in person, but perhaps it will inspire you to be more ambitious.

The selection is diverse and the quality is generally good, but the high prices mean that the price-performance ratio is not at all balanced, as is unfortunately often the case on Langeoog!

Very tasty food – we had two fish dishes. Service was very, very good, and we have rarely felt as welcome as a family as we did here. There's a box of books and toys and a special menu for children to color.

Pork tenderloin with pesto potatoes + Caesar salad --> The tenderloin was cooked to perfection, the potatoes were bland, the sauce was completely subpar in quality, and the only thing that was really good about the salad was the dressing. The bowl seemed uninspired and offered little flavor. A waste of money.

Please reserve in advance! Staff very attentive. Food: quick and plentiful. Value for money: fair. Highly recommend.

Over the weekend, the restaurant hosted a beach party for children. Since our son wanted to go home at short notice, we had 14 tokens left over. Two days later, I tried to redeem them with the manager at the restaurant. But he refused, saying, "Anyone could come." To me, that seems simply unaccommodating and unfriendly to customers. I wouldn't eat there.

Rating: ★★☆☆☆ At first glance, the Ebbe und Flut restaurant has everything you could wish for in a pleasant restaurant visit: a cozy atmosphere, an appealing menu, and truly delicious food. From a culinary perspective, I have absolutely nothing to complain about – the dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, this positive impression was overshadowed by a very unpleasant experience with the staff. During my visit, I was accused, completely without foundation, of having previously written a "bad" Google review. This accusation came as a complete surprise to me, as it is simply not true. Instead of politely resolving the misunderstanding, the accusation was expressed in a manner that I found extremely rude and disrespectful. The situation afterward was particularly disconcerting: Following this accusation, the Nutella packet was slammed across my table in a manner that I perceived as unnecessarily aggressive. Such gestures are inappropriate in the hospitality industry for me and leave a very negative aftertaste – regardless of how good the food is. I believe that, especially in the restaurant industry, a friendly, respectful, and professional approach to guests is at least as important as the quality of the food. After all, you don't just go to a restaurant for the food, but also to feel welcome and have a good time. My conclusion: From a culinary perspective, Ebbe und Flut deserves four or five stars. However, due to the rude and unwelcoming behavior, I can unfortunately only give it two stars. I sincerely hope the restaurant works on this issue – then it would be a place I would gladly visit again. If you'd like, I can make you a version of this in the tone of a very diplomatic complaint, which probably has a better chance of being taken seriously by the restaurant.

The food is expensive, but delicious. The problem was more an older man with glasses (presumably the boss) who served us. Unfortunately, he was very rude and arrogant. His demeanor probably puts people off. The other employees, however, were friendly. Despite that, we probably won't be back. It's a real shame.

The menu selection is limited but good. The food was delicious. The side salad is very simple, consisting of a bit of green salad and a few croutons – the price is absolutely unjustified! Some of the staff were friendly, but unfortunately, some were unfriendly. In comparison, I would tend to go to other restaurants in the future.

If you're looking for good food and drink combined with exceptionally friendly service, then this is the place for you. Please don't confuse this with the "Weinperle" (wine pearl), where the island's unfriendly staff will serve you.

We went to the very inviting Ebbe und Flut this evening and, even though we weren't supposed to get a table at first, were promptly given one right by the entrance. Unfortunately, when I asked for some water for our dog, I received a rude response. "It says so right there. Open your eyes!!!" Absolutely unacceptable. The same goes for the question about the size of the beer. Large or small. I ordered a large, but not a liter. It would have been great to have it specified. Unfortunately, this is the last time I've seen this place.

We come to Langeoog every December ❤️ and, of course, to Ebbe & Flut. A wonderfully beautiful restaurant with a fantastic team. This time we opted for the carrot and ginger soup and the crab soup, absolutely delicious 😋

We stopped here by chance on our way back from the beach. The staff is super friendly, always with a smile and a friendly joke. The food was delicious. In addition to the regular menu, there's also a lunch menu with a changing selection and a separate children's menu. There's something for EVERYONE here. Thanks for the delicious food.

Unfortunately, the pepper pasta only had a peppery taste when you bit into peppercorns. The lentil curry soup was OK and the potatoes were tasty.

Well, it used to be great, but now it's way too expensive for the food on offer. Nice for afternoon coffee, though! You also have to like the owner's sense of humor... we don't.

We don't quite understand all the positive reviews. My husband had fish and I had an appetizer. The fish was very, very small, and the salad was a joke. My husband ate my appetizer so he could at least get some food. For this price (we've paid the highest price for a meal there so far), I expect more. The taste was okay, but it didn't blow us away. Bottom line: little food for a lot of money! The price/performance ratio isn't right here.

On June 27th, we stumbled in quite by chance – and didn't want to leave. The shop is a truly comfortable temporary home: service isn't just a priority here, it's a lifelong commitment. You're greeted like old friends – with a smile and (warning!) probably the best Aperol Spritz on the entire island. We were so impressed that we went back on the 28th – this time for dinner. Spoiler alert: That was a hit too! The best thing? The owners aren't just on the beer mat, they're right in the middle of the action – and you can feel it. The team also radiates such joy that you almost think about getting a little part-time job. In short: If you don't go, it's your own fault. Highly recommended!

I can't agree with the positive reviews about the food. The tomato soup didn't deserve to be called a soup. It seemed to come unseasoned from a carton. The chef considers himself a great entertainer, but that doesn't go down well with everyone. The side dishes were hand-picked.

Unser Besuch war enttäuschend. Trotz vieler freier Tische wurde uns ein kleiner Tisch für uns zwei zugeteilt. Ein Huhn in Deutschland hat mehr Platz. Der Vorspeisen Teller Mozzarella enthielt 4 Mini Mozzarella. Preis im Einkauf ca. 50 Cent. Dazu bestellten wir eine Flasche Grauburgunder für 33.80. Der Einkaufspreis liegt bei ca. 6€. Wir waren zum dritten Mal da aber auch zum letzten Mal.

We had the Argentinian rump medallions and the veal schnitzel with cucumber salad and fried potatoes. The food arrived very quickly. We were served by an extremely friendly waitress, who was always quick to offer a witty quip. You immediately realize where you're eating☺️ We felt very comfortable here and enjoyed the food. Salt was provided for seasoning, so there really wasn't much to complain about. We would come back!

Ebbe & Flut on Langeoog – our visit on June 18th. So yesterday, my wife, and our son – I, went to dinner at Ebbe & Flut on Langeoog. We received a very warm welcome as soon as we walked in – that was a great start. The place is stylishly and comfortably decorated, just like you'd expect from the good restaurants on Langeoog. Tasteful, but not overly fancy – we really liked it. What immediately struck us was that they're super child-friendly! There was a play area with books and toys, and our son was given a children's menu and crayons to color in. It was really cool: He was even asked what he wanted to drink first – that shows that children are taken seriously here. About the food: I had redfish with garlic bread in garlic sauce – amazing! My wife had a different fish dish (don't ask me exactly what, she was quicker with her order), and our son also had fish. Everything was delicious – nothing to complain about. The waiter – probably one of the owners – had a very dry sense of humor, but in a pleasant way. Very attentive, he even made recommendations, but I ended up sticking with the fish. It was definitely the right decision. For dessert, my wife and I had the Crème Brûlée "Sundown." Yeah… it was okay, but it wasn't quite to our taste. Maybe others like it, but we thought it was more "so-so." On the other hand, the little one's panna cotta was really delicious – he loved it, so everything was fine again. I treated myself to an Aperol to finish off the meal – a perfect way to round things off. Everything was clean, the food came quickly, and the place was busy (which is usually a good sign). And hey, the restroom – you really have to see it. Totally original decor, and above all: clean! You can tell they pay attention to detail. Verdict: Good value for money. Fish isn't always cheap, but here it's absolutely fair. The service was friendly, attentive, and prompt. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable evening. 10 out of 10 from us! A clear recommendation for anyone looking for a delicious meal on Langeoog—especially with children.

I'd happily come back anytime. I hate to admit it, but the food is delicious. The waitress makes you feel like you're with good friends. The highlight are the restrooms. Seriously, they're a great place to stay. So, people come and go at all times. Good food paired with a good atmosphere.

Unterirdisch. Waren am 31.5. Abends zu dritt, eine Veganerin. Bestellt, Getränke kamen zügig. Nach einer Stunde bemerkten wir, dass Gäste die wesentlich später bestellt hatten an verschiedenen Tischen Ihr Essen bekamen. Nachfrage ob man uns vergessen hat, nein Ihr seid in 3 Minuten der nächste Tisch. Nach 90 Minuten nächste Nachfrage. Dann kam das Essen. Spargel mit Kalbsschnitzel für 31,40. Das Schnitzel zusammengegart so das man vermuten konnte es hat die ganze Zeit im Ofen gelegen, Kartoffeln mit Haut gerade aus dem Garer, ebenso der Spargel. Brotkorb mit offenbar nicht selbstgemachten Brot und Fertigdip. Veganer Salat ohne Pilze wie beschrieben, die seien angeblich im Bratling. Spargelgericht zurückgegeben und selbst gegangen, der Rest hat zur Probe weitergegessen. Entschuldigung oder Kleinigkeit aufs Haus Fehlanzeige. Nie wieder.

Ich betrat heute Nachmittag das Restaurant um mich zu informieren, ob am morgigen Mittag das Restaurant geöffnet sei und mein kleiner Hund uns zum Mittagessen begleiten darf. Am mittig aufgestellten Hinweisschild, dass der Gast warten möge und platziert werde, wartete ich. Dann wurde ich, ohne darauf vorbereitet zu sein, von einem Kellner aufs herablassendste angesprochen und mit einer Arroganz abgekanzelt, dass ich ganz sicherlich mein morgiges Geburtstagsessen in diesem Restaurant nicht einnehmen werde.

I just had a drink there. Regarding the wine, we recommend cooperating with the neighboring wine bar. I didn't find the white wine in Ebbe & Flut to be that great...

It's actually a nice restaurant, but when we wanted to go in to eat waffles, we were turned away because a wedding party was coming. But guests went in after us and were not sent out again. I found it really strange in retrospect. Especially since the wedding party in question consisted of around 15 people. It felt more like it was a bother if you wanted to eat waffles with two children... but the lady who served us was really very nice.

Nice restaurant, good menu. A bit busy when it's full. The service was attentive and on point. The food was very tasty and the dessert... divine... espresso with praline and eggnog!

Top food, very nice and humorous service

The price of the lunch there is completely reasonable, but the portion of fried fish with potato salad (€14) was very manageable. We recommend “Watt’n Schmitzel” (18€), which was really a decent piece. The staff is very friendly and the location is quite good, so overall recommended.

A great restaurant. Great cuisine, nice service and typical island prices. We were impressed by the warmth towards our children too. The crab soup was a hit and there were great dishes for children. We will definitely come back next time we visit the island

Unfortunately I wasn't happy with my meal. However, they responded to my criticism immediately, the waiter immediately invited me for coffee as an apology and didn't charge the full price for the meal. This reaction was really great. Something can always go wrong in the kitchen. Fair guests should tell the waiter and not complain negatively on the Internet. Star deductions only to remain fair to the readers here. I just wasn't happy with the food. My friend had something delicious on her plate. And the ambience is great. I would definitely go again.

Very good food in a great atmosphere! We were there as guests as part of a really successful island experience day "Amber & Tea & Really Good Food". We not only ate really well, but also enjoyed wonderful and interesting hours with many exciting island and tea stories (from the warm and friendly Langeoogers Peer and Ossi) - highly recommended.

You can eat very well here. Not a long crowded menu but excellent food. Communication with the manager of the restaurant has an entertainment character 😂 It's worth stopping here.

Von vorne bis hinten alles top! Der Service war mehr als freundlich. Die Kinder wurden toll und lustig bedient. Getränke waren schnell am Tisch. Speisenauswahl war reichlich und für jeden was dabei. Das Essen bekam von allen 5 Personen am Tisch die Note 1 Es war alles perfekt gebraten und ansprechend angerichtet. Verschiedene Gewürze, Kräuter und Saucen waren ein wahrer Gaumenschmaus. Das Dessert war eine Empfehlung des Hauses und stand eigentlich nicht auf der Karte. Es war ein krönender Abschluss, ein gelungener Abend. Da ist man auch gerne bereit etwas mehr zu bezahlen! Preis Leistung hat vollkommen gepasst. Danke für einen tollen Urlaubs Abschluss! Ihr habt ihn uns versüßt! Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder!
