The food was delicious (lunch was also reasonably priced). Service was very fast, but there were no smiles. Great outside in nice weather!

On June 27th, we stumbled in quite by chance – and didn't want to leave. The shop is a truly comfortable temporary home: service isn't just a priority here, it's a lifelong commitment. You're greeted like old friends – with a smile and (warning!) probably the best Aperol Spritz on the entire island. We were so impressed that we went back on the 28th – this time for dinner. Spoiler alert: That was a hit too! The best thing? The owners aren't just on the beer mat, they're right in the middle of the action – and you can feel it. The team also radiates such joy that you almost think about getting a little part-time job. In short: If you don't go, it's your own fault. Highly recommended!

Good service. Nice atmosphere, both outside in the beer garden and in the restaurant itself. The menu is rather small, but changes with the seasons, and the quality of the food is really good.

I can't agree with the positive reviews about the food. The tomato soup didn't deserve to be called a soup. It seemed to come unseasoned from a carton. The chef considers himself a great entertainer, but that doesn't go down well with everyone. The side dishes were hand-picked.

Unser Besuch war enttäuschend. Trotz vieler freier Tische wurde uns ein kleiner Tisch für uns zwei zugeteilt. Ein Huhn in Deutschland hat mehr Platz. Der Vorspeisen Teller Mozzarella enthielt 4 Mini Mozzarella. Preis im Einkauf ca. 50 Cent. Dazu bestellten wir eine Flasche Grauburgunder für 33.80. Der Einkaufspreis liegt bei ca. 6€. Wir waren zum dritten Mal da aber auch zum letzten Mal.

Service was very unpleasant. Food was okay.

We had the Argentinian rump medallions and the veal schnitzel with cucumber salad and fried potatoes. The food arrived very quickly. We were served by an extremely friendly waitress, who was always quick to offer a witty quip. You immediately realize where you're eating☺️ We felt very comfortable here and enjoyed the food. Salt was provided for seasoning, so there really wasn't much to complain about. We would come back!

Very good food and delicious dishes and wines (try the cold Heidi 😉), attentive waiters with a North German timid charm. We've been there several times.

Ebbe & Flut on Langeoog – our visit on June 18th. So yesterday, my wife, and our son – I, went to dinner at Ebbe & Flut on Langeoog. We received a very warm welcome as soon as we walked in – that was a great start. The place is stylishly and comfortably decorated, just like you'd expect from the good restaurants on Langeoog. Tasteful, but not overly fancy – we really liked it. What immediately struck us was that they're super child-friendly! There was a play area with books and toys, and our son was given a children's menu and crayons to color in. It was really cool: He was even asked what he wanted to drink first – that shows that children are taken seriously here. About the food: I had redfish with garlic bread in garlic sauce – amazing! My wife had a different fish dish (don't ask me exactly what, she was quicker with her order), and our son also had fish. Everything was delicious – nothing to complain about. The waiter – probably one of the owners – had a very dry sense of humor, but in a pleasant way. Very attentive, he even made recommendations, but I ended up sticking with the fish. It was definitely the right decision. For dessert, my wife and I had the Crème Brûlée "Sundown." Yeah… it was okay, but it wasn't quite to our taste. Maybe others like it, but we thought it was more "so-so." On the other hand, the little one's panna cotta was really delicious – he loved it, so everything was fine again. I treated myself to an Aperol to finish off the meal – a perfect way to round things off. Everything was clean, the food came quickly, and the place was busy (which is usually a good sign). And hey, the restroom – you really have to see it. Totally original decor, and above all: clean! You can tell they pay attention to detail. Verdict: Good value for money. Fish isn't always cheap, but here it's absolutely fair. The service was friendly, attentive, and prompt. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable evening. 10 out of 10 from us! A clear recommendation for anyone looking for a delicious meal on Langeoog—especially with children.

I'd happily come back anytime. I hate to admit it, but the food is delicious. The waitress makes you feel like you're with good friends. The highlight are the restrooms. Seriously, they're a great place to stay. So, people come and go at all times. Good food paired with a good atmosphere.

The food is relatively tasty, but the chef is unfortunately completely unfriendly. I don't understand where all the positive reviews come from. We were treated badly several times, very unfriendly, and at times rudely. For this reason, I wouldn't come back.

Unterirdisch. Waren am 31.5. Abends zu dritt, eine Veganerin. Bestellt, Getränke kamen zügig. Nach einer Stunde bemerkten wir, dass Gäste die wesentlich später bestellt hatten an verschiedenen Tischen Ihr Essen bekamen. Nachfrage ob man uns vergessen hat, nein Ihr seid in 3 Minuten der nächste Tisch. Nach 90 Minuten nächste Nachfrage. Dann kam das Essen. Spargel mit Kalbsschnitzel für 31,40. Das Schnitzel zusammengegart so das man vermuten konnte es hat die ganze Zeit im Ofen gelegen, Kartoffeln mit Haut gerade aus dem Garer, ebenso der Spargel. Brotkorb mit offenbar nicht selbstgemachten Brot und Fertigdip. Veganer Salat ohne Pilze wie beschrieben, die seien angeblich im Bratling. Spargelgericht zurückgegeben und selbst gegangen, der Rest hat zur Probe weitergegessen. Entschuldigung oder Kleinigkeit aufs Haus Fehlanzeige. Nie wieder.

Ich betrat heute Nachmittag das Restaurant um mich zu informieren, ob am morgigen Mittag das Restaurant geöffnet sei und mein kleiner Hund uns zum Mittagessen begleiten darf. Am mittig aufgestellten Hinweisschild, dass der Gast warten möge und platziert werde, wartete ich. Dann wurde ich, ohne darauf vorbereitet zu sein, von einem Kellner aufs herablassendste angesprochen und mit einer Arroganz abgekanzelt, dass ich ganz sicherlich mein morgiges Geburtstagsessen in diesem Restaurant nicht einnehmen werde.

I just had a drink there. Regarding the wine, we recommend cooperating with the neighboring wine bar. I didn't find the white wine in Ebbe & Flut to be that great...

It's actually a nice restaurant, but when we wanted to go in to eat waffles, we were turned away because a wedding party was coming. But guests went in after us and were not sent out again. I found it really strange in retrospect. Especially since the wedding party in question consisted of around 15 people. It felt more like it was a bother if you wanted to eat waffles with two children... but the lady who served us was really very nice.

Nice restaurant, good menu. A bit busy when it's full. The service was attentive and on point. The food was very tasty and the dessert... divine... espresso with praline and eggnog!

We ate very well here; The redfish with polenta slices and beluga lentil salad or with asparagus and potatoes was fried to perfection. Friendly service, pleasant atmosphere.

The food was terrific. Well prepared, tasty, fresh. The service was arrogant, arrogant and taciturn. A reason for us not to come anymore.

The food was delicious, the selection of dishes is small, but sometimes in unusual combinations. The staff was very nice and personable. In order to get a table with a larger group, we had to reserve more in advance. The ambience seems harmonious.

A great restaurant. Great cuisine, nice service and typical island prices. We were impressed by the warmth towards our children too. The crab soup was a hit and there were great dishes for children. We will definitely come back next time we visit the island

The price of the lunch there is completely reasonable, but the portion of fried fish with potato salad (€14) was very manageable. We recommend “Watt’n Schmitzel” (18€), which was really a decent piece. The staff is very friendly and the location is quite good, so overall recommended.

For lunch we both have fried fish with potatoes and salad. Taste was good. The portions were a baked potato and a salad decoration (minimal). My fish was a mini piece of about 40 grams. My wife's was twice as "big". Unfortunately the beer wasn't cold either

Unfortunately I wasn't happy with my meal. However, they responded to my criticism immediately, the waiter immediately invited me for coffee as an apology and didn't charge the full price for the meal. This reaction was really great. Something can always go wrong in the kitchen. Fair guests should tell the waiter and not complain negatively on the Internet. Star deductions only to remain fair to the readers here. I just wasn't happy with the food. My friend had something delicious on her plate. And the ambience is great. I would definitely go again.

Very good food in a great atmosphere! We were there as guests as part of a really successful island experience day "Amber & Tea & Really Good Food". We not only ate really well, but also enjoyed wonderful and interesting hours with many exciting island and tea stories (from the warm and friendly Langeoogers Peer and Ossi) - highly recommended.

You can eat very well here. Not a long crowded menu but excellent food. Communication with the manager of the restaurant has an entertainment character 😂 It's worth stopping here.

Great lunch deal. We had kale and service, price and performance were completely fine. Ebbe & Flut also has a positively cheeky look.

Von vorne bis hinten alles top! Der Service war mehr als freundlich. Die Kinder wurden toll und lustig bedient. Getränke waren schnell am Tisch. Speisenauswahl war reichlich und für jeden was dabei. Das Essen bekam von allen 5 Personen am Tisch die Note 1 Es war alles perfekt gebraten und ansprechend angerichtet. Verschiedene Gewürze, Kräuter und Saucen waren ein wahrer Gaumenschmaus. Das Dessert war eine Empfehlung des Hauses und stand eigentlich nicht auf der Karte. Es war ein krönender Abschluss, ein gelungener Abend. Da ist man auch gerne bereit etwas mehr zu bezahlen! Preis Leistung hat vollkommen gepasst. Danke für einen tollen Urlaubs Abschluss! Ihr habt ihn uns versüßt! Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder!

Zentral gelegenes, sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit umfangreicher Speisekarte. Wir haben ohne Reservierung mit Hund den letzten Platz bekommen und wurden sehr nett empfangen. Für uns als Vegetarier gab es sehr leckere Alternativen, auf der Speisekarte findet aber jeder etwas. Das Restaurant ist sehr liebevoll und nordisch-gemütlich eingerichtet, das Essen schmeckte sehr fein und gut abgestimmt. Wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder, wenn wir auf Langeoog sind. Definitiv empfehlenswert.

Truly the absolute hammer Nordic humor, if you love it, you love it, how could you not like it. The service was nice, helpful, more than child friendly. And simply likeable. The food was on point, the meat was tender, and the children were more than taken care of. And I can only say again how come save again and go to ebb and flow. Enjoy the atmosphere and the time together. As a couple or as a family. Enjoy it.........

Great restaurant: beautiful and original ambience, friendly service and incredibly delicious cuisine, where great emphasis is placed on good, regional ingredients. Everything is consistent.

We found it mediocre at best. It's nice to sit, but the food is weak. We don't tend to cook ourselves; our soups and lasagnas were frozen or other ready-made foods. But high prices. There is still a lot of room for improvement here... No recommendation.

Wir haben einen sehr schönen Abend im Ebbe und Flut verbracht. Das Servicepersonal war sehr nett und aufmerksam, obwohl das Lokal ziemlich voll war. Auch auf unsere Sonderwünsche wurde eingegangen (wir wollten ein Curry für zwei als Vorspeise). Getränke und Essen wurden schnell serviert. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir können das Lokal uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

We spent a very nice evening in the ebb and flow. The service staff was very nice and attentive, even though the restaurant was quite full. Our special requests were also taken into account (we wanted a curry for two as a starter). Drinks and food were served quickly. The food was very tasty. We can recommend the restaurant without reservation!

Unfortunately, my rump stick wasn't completely medium as I ordered it, 3/4 was medium, the rest was unfortunately raw. The waitress was a bit bored or didn't feel like doing his job. The potato as a side dish was very tasty. Salad, yeah.

We were there for lunch and wouldn't come back. The beer and seating were good, but the lunch specials (fried fish and pinsa) didn't blow us away. The fried fish were completely cold inside! PS: The "potato salad" contained more mayonnaise, cucumbers and onions than potatoes...it was only a (small) half potato.

We stayed here twice during our vacation. Both times we had reservations (recommended). This time I would particularly like to praise the really good and friendly service, which even took the wind out of the sails of grumpy ladies 😉! Hats off! The food was delicious as usual and we will definitely come back on our next island vacation…

Nice service and very good food at a reasonable price

I went to dinner with my children. The schnitzel for my son came on a deep plate, which was poorly chosen. And what had to happen? Yes, it landed on the floor. I was kindly given a new one, BUT when I looked at the bill it was kindly billed twice. It wasn't communicated that way either, which really annoyed me. I don't think that's child-friendly. Food was ok, just a schnitzel.

We have been coming to Langeoog for years... and an evening in the restaurant is always planned... great ambience and service-oriented staff complete the picture of the food.

Wir saßen gemütlich draußen und haben das Essen genossen. Es gibt Angebote des Tages. Ich hatte Backfisch mit Kartoffelsalat. Alles frisch (selbst die Remoulade war selbst gemacht), lecker und ausreichend. Der Backfisch war richtig toll - Beets als man es so oft schon gegessen hat. Und die Jungs und Mädels sind richtig nett im Service. Empfehlung!

We ate at high and low tide for the first time. Never again!! Ordered plaice Finkenwerder style. Plaice was out, then we got pollack fillet. It was so dry that I had to drink after every bite. We hardly saw any fried potatoes, so there was mostly bacon and leek on the plate. And all for the same price from Scholle Finkenwerder Art.

Best location on Langeoog Not only is the food fresh and of the best quality, but above all the cheerful friendliness of the staff is absolutely convincing!

Price management sucks. Food comes so quickly it was clear that everything was prepared and not freshly prepared as the price would lead you to hope. Fried potatoes cold and soggy. Add 50% raw onions and the rest burned. The schnitzel could have been out of the bag and the spritzer could have been pre-cooked and was only allowed to jump through the pan for a moment. The side salad was very very little iceberg lettuce. To do this, pull for at least 30 tacks per dish. When it comes to service, you notice a massive lack of skilled workers; everything was thrown at you and handed out from random sources. The boss “Colonel” was also more of a clown 🤡. There are a few other restaurants on Langeoog where the price performance is a lot better.

The food and the service were top notch. A great place. Try it, you won't be disappointed. A small menu, which in my opinion means it's fresh and refined. This was the case tonight. We will be going back before we leave the island. 👍

The ebb and flow can only be recommended. The ambience is great and the service staff are super personable and friendly. They also have a recommendation, especially when it comes to wine, that hit the spot for us. We reserved a table the evening before and got another one straight away. The dishes are delicious and harmonious. A real culinary delight. I find the price-performance ratio to be absolutely reasonable. The waiting time is fine. We'd love to come back when we're back on Langeoog. The selection of food and drinks is diverse so that everyone should get their money's worth. I really enjoyed my stay with you that evening and felt very welcome as a guest. Thank you for your commitment, which I feel comes from the heart. Thanks.

Always happy to come here. The saddle of lamb with Caesar salad is a hit. You can sit well both outside and inside. Edit: The beach party on August 16th/17th, 2024 was an absolute highlight!! Thank you for the great organization!!

Great selection of dishes :) Also vegetarian options, which is great! The map is a bit confusing... The service was friendly and attentive. Prices are a bit high, but acceptable on a holiday island like this.

Initially a flippant, still funny greeting, which then quickly turned into inappropriate words. The children's plate with schnitzel consisted of the same and 3 fried potato slices, plus lots of leek. The Caesar salad was missing parmesan and my sons didn't like the pancakes at all. A pity. We are often on the island and are disappointed by such an impression.

I'm sorry to say, but I've really never experienced anything like this. Upon request, I ordered a waffle to take away. The waffle was 1. not cooked through and 2. full of white egg pieces, so it only tasted like eggs. I got the powdered sugar, not grated, in one piece. In one piece! I don't know what went wrong here, but I was able to put the waffle in the trash can as it was...I'm really disappointed.

The food did not meet our expectations. Unfortunately, there was only a weakly marked selection of vegan dishes, and vegetarian ones were unfortunately not marked. Unfortunately, the so-called “schnitzel” made from pom pom mushroom was not particularly crispy or warmed up; it cannot be compared with a vegan schnitzel substitute. The pork schnitzel wasn't particularly convincing either, it seemed more like a finished product, it was very thin and there was little of a structure to be seen. On the other hand, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was tastefully decorated.
