I have never been treated so disrespectfully and rudely at a restaurant like here. Absolute terrible service. We had already eaten and full but went here due to curiosity for seeing an Indian restaurant in Black Forest. We ordered a few dishes and a drink. With the dishes, the server gave each of us a plate and cutlery like they normally do. We wanted to order more food but was outright denied and was told we're not getting any more food. When the bill came, he had charged us extra €4 for drinks we had not ordered. He said its for the extra plates and cutlery he gave us with the food. He shouted at us saying that even though he never mentioned about an extra charge for the cutlery and plates, he gave us those and we used them, so we should pay him extra €4. Who charges extra for an extra spoon? Especially after offering it without any information? It's not the money, it's the principle. Spend your money instead at one of the other restaurants in the neighborhood and eat properly with good service. Even the WC is locked they only open it with a key if you're a customer. 😐

Great food, very nice service! I lived in India for 2 years and can really judge what Indian food is. I ate the best tandoor paneer ever here! You can tell that it was fresh and homemade. It also has a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, which I appreciate. The ambience with Indian music and the furnishings were also perfect. I'm happy we found this restaurant. THANKS!

One of the worst restaurants serving Indian cuisine. We ordered Chicken Tikka and Lamb Biryani. Guess what Tikkas were good but served with plain Basmati rice, but Biryani was horrible. When we questioned the person serving us he told us that they don’t make dum biryani and this was South Indian Biryani which is made by adding sauce (yes SAUCE) to rice and meat. When I said I have eaten Chennai Biryani and Hyderabadi Biryani which definitely I doesn’t taste like that and is never made using a SAUCE the person said he is a Mohamedian and his family makes good Biryani and he himself doesn’t like eating this Biryani at his own hotel. We told them that they should stop serving such food and disappointing people. We could barely eat less than 1/3rd the plate of Biryani. We then asked for paying by card and he insisted that we pay by cash, when we questioned again he agreed to take payment by card. This is not how Indian food is made and served. So if you are reading this review and thinking of going there for food pls avoid. The most horrible eating experience ever 😡

Guess what, the group decided to abandon the place after seeing this fellow's rude attitude towards us. He authoritatively walked to us wanting to pick a fight. This is the worst restaurant in Germany. The food, hygiene, manners of the staffs are very bad.

Don't waste your time going there. The name of this restaurant shouldn't be "Indian Palace" because this is nothing but a scam using the name of our country to earn quick money by providing the worst food. There is no naan, no bread, no roti, no chapati, no paneer, no non-veg alternative, no chickpeas, and worst biriyani. Our whole plan got ruined because of this one restaurant.

Has a monopoly as it’s the only Indian restaurant in that area. Totally geared towards sweetly ripping off Indian tourists, only accepts cash & doesn’t give any bill. Complains that Indians don’t know how to use credit card & hence causes his machine to block cards! Better to pack your own food or buy something from supermarket.

Excellent food. The owner was extremely friendly and very attentive. Definitely worth a visit. We went in a group of 14 people and they managed to customize dishes as per everybody's dietary needs and flavor profiles (spicy, non spicy, vegetarian etc) Great vegetarian options and the food was fresh and delicious. Cocktails waren ordentlich stark. Auf der Süeisekarte sind zwei Seiten nur vegan und vegetarisch, solche Auseahl ist man gar nichtmehr gewöhnt! Essen war sehr lecker, kann die Okraschoten nur empfehlen. Einziges Manko: bei meiner "veganen" Vorspeise war vermutlich Joghurtsauce dabei. Habe die daher nicht probiert aber Begleitung meinte es hat schon sehr stark nach Joghurt geschmeckt.

Absolutely amazing restaurant; the food and the customer service was impeccable. My girlfriend and I shared the Palak Paneer and Shahi Paneer (accompanied by a glass of delicious, cool Riesling) and we were both completely blown away. Being a “palak paneer connoisseur” and having tasted the dish in multiple Indian restaurants across the world, I can with confidence say that this is the one of the best palak paneers around - and definitely the best one I have ever come across. Thank you for a both satiating and memorable experience that we will remember for years to come 🙏🏻

Wir waren mit 6 Personen zum Essen hier. Ich hatte die Bewertungen erst gelesen als wir schon im Restaurant saßen und ich muss sagen wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Alle Gerichte kamen zügig, haben sehr gut geschmeckt und der Kellner war freundlich und hat auch einen Spaß mitgemacht. Das Ambiente ist eher schlicht gehalten. Wir werden wieder kommen.

So sad to see the bad reviews from this place! We are a family of 5 -- with 3 young boisterous boys. After exploring until 7pm on a Saturday, we tried a few restaurants and were refused everywhere --except here. The person, I can only assume the same one others refer to in their reviews, was adorable! He told us what we wanted to order was going to be too much (!?!) so we scaled it down. He let the kids explore the restaurant (there were only us and another table of 2 people), let the kids speak to his wife and daughter in India...the food did take a little while but he served us pappadam and the roti came quickly, and everything was SOOOOO GOOOOD!!!!! Not too spicy for the kids but flavorful. Gave us free mango lassi at the end... really a great experience!!

Wir waren mittags essen und sind abends noch mal gekommen! Verstehe manche Bewertungen überhaupt nicht… Es ist wirklich super lecker und auch der uns bedient hat war sehr freundlich! Wir selber hatten die vegetarische Speise mit Auberginen, Kartoffeln mit verschiedenen Gewürzen und einen Nachtisch aus Karotte, Honig, Mandeln ( außergewöhnlich gut, noch nie sowas gegessen ). Kommen definitiv noch mal wieder!

Gegeten in een volledig leeg restaurant. Maar Indiaas in Titisee. De ober vriendelijk, maar met oortjes in. Misschien modern, maar zeer onpersoonlijk. Eas ook niet de snelste ober. Gerecht met mango en kip helaas retour, daar de mango niet ontdooid was. Kip tandoori erg lekker. Je kan er zeker gaan eten, stel geen hoge verwachtingen. Wijn prima. Voor 2 personen 53 euro.

Cena, ore 20:30 e tutti i ristoranti del posto cucina locale non disposti a farci mangiare: troppo tardi ci dichiaravano . L’alternativa era italiano o indiano: indiano tutta la vita, italiani in Germania siamo…!! il gestore ci ha accolto senza indugi e ci ha consigliato il menù vegetariano ( lo siamo) e ci ha fatto desistere dal prendere altro (a ragione veduta, a malapena abbiamo concluso le portate). Servizio veloce e tutto veramente molto buono, buon equilibrio tra le spezie, buon livello di cucina. il mango lassi ne ho assaggiato di meglio e il dolce si sa, deve piacere, ma il resto è stato veramente eccezionale e abbondante. Mi sento di consigliarlo a chiunque, magari non a pranzo, fanno buffet e servono 200/300 coperti e li gioco forza si lavora sui numeri. A cena con poco più di 50€ in 2 abbiamo spaziato. Bravo Khan!!!

Through star tours buffet lunch was provided. Food was normal no wow factor. But most importantly the manager or the owner does not care about their clients and behaves v badly with their customers. Hope they learn the meaning of hospitality.

As a lover of Indian food, the Indian Palace in Titisee is well worth a visit for an evening meal! (indoors or on their outdoor terrace). The food is simply delicious (as is the Indian beer) & they will spice it according to your palate! The Chef is possibly a little too 'amoureux' with his salt, just tell him to tone it down. Recommended!

Einer der besten Inder den ich hatte. Erst wollten wir selber was zusammenstellen damit wir dann teilen können. Der Kellner sagte uns dann, dass sie auch ein vegetarisches Menü hätten und dieses für 2 Personen berechnet wäre. Wir haben uns umstimmen lassen und ich muss sagen zum Glück. Es war super lecker und es hat für beide mehr als genug zu essen. Es wurde auch gefragt wie scharf wir es denn gerne hätten und es kam dann auch so wie wir es wollten. Schön war zu sehen, dass noch mehr Leute (Inder) kamen und dort essen bestellt haben. Sehr freundliche Bedienung und sehr schneller Service. Kann es nur wärmsten empfehlen. Kann die negativen Bewertungen überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen.

The food was good (note to Indian tourists: this food is probably adapted to German liking). The restaurant is upstairs. Doesn't seem wheelchair accessible. There seems to be only one waiter, which was more than enough considering how slow business was even during prime time.

Wir haben zu fünft à la carte gegessen und waren mehr als zufrieden. Das Interieur ist stilvoll gepflegt ohne üppig zu werden, die Bedienung sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und das Essen war sehr lecker, ich hätte am Ende am liebsten die Schalen ausgeleckt! Von der Schärfe her war es gut gewürzt, einen kleinen Ticken schärfer als bei uns normal üblich - aber für indische Verhältnisse immer noch äusserst mild ("europäisch scharf"). Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort essen - und fanden es etwas irritierend, dass die benachbarten Location mehr als voll waren und hier gähnende Leere herrschte. Das hat das Lokal echt nicht verdient! Offensichtlich haben sie sich die vorhergehenden negativen Rezensionen sehr zu Herzen genommen. Empfehlung und 5 Sterne von ganzem Herzen!

Chicken Mughal e azam was too bad!! It smelled like raw chicken. Rice was also smelly. Mango lassi was good though. Owner was kind and friendly. Restaurant is huge. But washroom quality was bad.

Near to Titisee lake, Mr. Khan has served us good quality and quantity to our family. Great service. Kudos to chef and team.

No one knew English. The manager shouted at as when we tried to understand the menu. He wanted to close 2.5 hours before the stated closing time published on the website (and urged us to eat “take away”). He had given us a wrong dish but refused to replace it. He raised the bill in comparison to the menu prices. When there was some problem with the credit card he dared to hint that we are trying to escape without paying - making jokes about it in Indian language with his cook. He was simply rude in every aspect. If you want really bad service - this is the place for you.

This Restaurant is located on the First Floor, above the Cafes, on the West Side of Seestraße where it turns South towards the Lake: in the Town Centre. There is an extensive Menu of both Food and Drinks. However Service is Poor. The Plates are cold and no effort is made to keep the Curries or Rice Warm. Staff are not attentive. Nevertheless the Quality coming out of the Kitchen is fine and not overpriced for a Tourist Town.

Ich bin im allgemeinen ein harmloser und unkomplizierter Gast. Hier habe ich zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben keinen Cent Trinkgeld gegeben. An der Quantität ist nichts auszusetzen. Wer riesige Fleischberge in Kombination mit Zwiebelbergen liebt, der ist mit dem Tandoori-Mix gut bedient. Über den Geschmack kann ich leider nichts aussagen, weil die Schärfe alles überdeckt hat. Bei so viel Schärfe wäre ein Gäbelchen Reis gut gewesen. Wenn es denn welchen gegeben hätte. Es mag vielleicht irgendwo auf der Karte in kleinen Buchstaben vermerkt sein, dass man Reis extra bestellen muss. Für mich war es eine unangenehme Überraschung. Vielleicht erwarte ich für 23 € auch zu viel. Zwiebeln vertrage ich leider nicht, darüber hinaus gibt es natürlich kein Gramm Gemüse. Das Lammfleisch war so ungemein zäh, dass mir der Verzehr keinen rechten Genuss bereitet hat. In Sachen Sauberkeit hat man in dem Betrieb immerhin dazugelernt. Während meines Aufenthaltes ist ausgesprochen emsig Staub gesaugt worden. Da ging es nicht etwa um ein paar verstreute Krumen hier und da, man hat sich gewissenhaft den ganzen Gastraum vorgenommen. Insgesamt waren nur drei Gäste anwesend. Da saß ich also etwas unmotiviert vor dem wenig schmackhaften Fleischberg und hatte das bedrückende Gefühl, beim Staubsaugen im Wege zu sein. Kurz und gut, es gab keinen triftigen Grund, den Aufenthalt länger auszudehnen. Ich bat also um die Rechnung. Im Hinblick darauf, dass ich das Essen kaum angerührt hatte, hätte ich eine Frage im Stil von "War alles in Ordnung?" erwartet. Und mir die höfliche Antwort "Mir war es leider zu scharf, aber das ist natürlich Geschmackssache. Das Lamm fand ich doch recht zäh." zurechtgelegt. Stattdessen kam die Frage: "Wie viel möchten Sie geben?" An diesem Punkt habe ich den Restaurantbesuch innerlich für gescheitert erklärt und - ganz gegen meine Gewohnheiten - keinen Cent mehr als den Rechnungsbetrag gezahlt. Im Nachhinein tut mir das Personal ja leid. Schlechte Sprachkenntnisse und wahrscheinlich prekäre Beschäftigungsverhältnisse, die Leute können auch nichts dafür. Aber ich kann nur abraten.

Bonne cuisine indienne avec une carte très diversifiée. Un bémol, le vin rosé est servi à température ambiante alors qu’il doit être servi frais. Par contre le cadre et la décoration ne sont pas terrible. On a l’impression de manger dans un hall de gare. Enfin du papier dans les toilettes serait utile !!! On est pas au Inde.

This place is highly recommendable, for everyone. I'm 100% sure. A place like this in an area like titisee is just great. I see some negative reviews which you should completely ignore, my opinion. Typical indian scene with music and everything. The people are friendly and they really want you to have a nice evening. Most importantly, the food goes beyond your expectations. I assure you, no disappointment. Flavors are on point, low salt use, decent portions and perfect combinations. 100% recommend by just a dutch tourist who is blown away by this food experience. Best meal of my vacay.
