We got a table spontaneously late in the evening. The service was very friendly. The food is geared towards mass tourism. The Margherita pizza was a revelation in terms of taste. Unfortunately, the Al Forno wasn't as good.

This was our second visit – the food was delicious and the service was friendly. We would gladly go again. Thank you!

We felt instantly welcome. And the food… simply amazing! 😍 We haven't had such a delicious meal in ages! We've been to Titisee many times, but never to the Pferdestall restaurant. That's about to change. Delicious food, friendly staff, and a pleasant atmosphere.

Discreet and welcoming atmosphere. Good food; we enjoyed the two meat-based main courses and a pizza. The service was very good, thanks in large part to the very kind, professional, and helpful waiter who served us (perhaps from Milan). We recommend it.

We went there for dinner one evening. It was delicious. I had a pizza with Black Forest ham. We received a warm and friendly welcome, and it was a very pleasant evening. Highly recommended. Thank you so much for the kind hospitality.

I ordered the Wiener Schnitzel (veal) for almost 31 euros. I couldn't eat it without ketchup and mayo. A freshly made schnitzel looks and tastes completely different. Hence only one star.

A nicely decorated restaurant. However, when the food arrives, it becomes clear that it's geared towards mass-market catering. The food arrives very quickly, which is great for a quick bite. For the price and speed, the taste is good. However, as mentioned above, it's noticeable that a lot of it is pre-prepared or frozen. All in all, you can get a quick and cheap meal here. But if you're looking for a restaurant to enjoy a leisurely meal and end the evening, this isn't the place for you, in my opinion.

We had a very tasty meal here. The pizza and pasta are highly recommended. The atmosphere has a cafeteria feel, but the food and service were good.

Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the restaurant and the food served. The pizza resembled a frozen pizza with mushrooms added. In our group, the food wasn't served to everyone at the same time, and one pizza was even brought out incorrectly. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

The pizza was OK, the veal schnitzel was nothing and way too expensive at over 30 euros, the cordon bleu I had afterward was OK.

Long-standing, Titisee's best address for delicious Italian food. Freshly prepared and always a true delight. The price/performance ratio is 100% right. A lovely outdoor terrace in the heart of Titisee.

Avoid at all cost. We had dinner on September 23, 2025, and were served a soup that has soured. When we told the waiter, he just took our plates away and brought us a totally different soup. Obviously, they wanted to get rid of leftovers and didn't even check whether the soup was safe to eat, before serving it. There were no apologies, no discount. I felt very bad at night after eating the spoiled soup. It is really dangerous. Don't go there!!

We had dinner there during our vacation and there really wasn't much going on. The friendliness of the service, well, you were greeted and said goodbye, but I have experienced much better service elsewhere. The food was ok but a bit overpriced, which wasn't the best. What is not possible, however, is that others come later and had their food quicker and we were still waiting hungry after 25 minutes. We won't eat there again, but that's just my opinion for now. Take a look at the restaurant for yourself.

The food and service were okay, but not top-notch. The hunter's steak was tough, and the pizza dough was probably factory-made. The prices, however, were rather high. The air quality wasn't great either, and, strangely enough, almost all the ventilation grilles had pictures in front of them.

I can't believe the kind of reviews some people write!!! 😡We've been guests at the horse stable since 2004 and always eat there on vacation. The food is delicious and prepared with lots of love. We were just there for dinner a week ago. I had chosen a dish with chanterelle mushrooms, but unfortunately, they were sold out. The chef personally went to the other side of the street, where a fruit and vegetable vendor was standing, and got me some chanterelle mushrooms and prepared them deliciously for me. 😋🤗 Anyone else would have said they were out of chanterelles. I really appreciate that. I can only say positive things about the staff, they are always very polite and accommodating. ☺️ The restaurant is beautifully decorated; we feel very comfortable. We have and will continue to eat at our beloved horse stable on every vacation. It's become like a big family to us. 🥰

Very friendly service, excellent food. Dogs are welcome, too. Plenty of space. Children are also welcome. Even when it's busy, you don't have to wait long for your food. If possible, the chef will accommodate special requests! That's very rare these days!

Good Bolognese, pizza rather medium

Very tasty pizzas! Despite being busy, the service was friendly and quick. Depending on where you sit, you can hear more or less street noise, but it's not so loud that it gets in the way of conversation. Keep it up, we'll be back!

We had to wait a long time for the food and everything was a bit chaotic, which was probably due to the large crowds.

Pleasant place ideal for families or groups of friends

I was happy to still be able to get dinner at Lake Titisee at 9 p.m. The service was spot on, and my food was good. There are also simple pasta dishes on the menu, like aglio olio or napoli. I had the vegetarian cannelloni, delicious!

We were passing through and wanted to have a leisurely meal. We ordered three dishes for two people, the first of which arrived a good 20 minutes before the other two. A Wiener Schnitzel and a Cordon Bleu arrived later, and at first glance – lackluster. There were two slices of lemon on both the Wiener Schnitzel and the Cordon Bleu... they were good for reading the newspaper, but unfortunately not for anything else. A piece of parsley was lying somewhere next to it (also on both plates). The Wiener Schnitzel was ruined with some kind of strawberry jam – it doesn't belong there! The cheese in the Cordon Bleu was unidentifiable, definitely not the kind you'd find in a classic. It should be mild and nutty, but not what you have there. I don't even want to talk about the fries... 6! Every item on the plate was frozen and heated in the microwave. No love, no passion. At best, it was a mediocre cafeteria meal for a maximum price. The beer was good, though.

The place is beautiful and the service was quick and in English 👍. When the carpaccio dish arrived, it was spoiled — to say the least. After two attempts to return the dish, they agreed to cancel it and apologized, but it wasn’t immediate. The pizzas were very good, as was the Bolognese pasta. Cold and fresh beer. Overall, very good.

The food at this restaurant is frozen. Don't go there! The pizzas weren't good. I highly recommend it. Disappointing value for money. Far too expensive for the quality of the food.

For me, this is THE place in Titisee. This Italian restaurant is slightly elevated, with plenty of outdoor seating for enjoying the good weather and watching tourists. The food is very good, the portions are large, there's a special children's menu, the prices are moderate, and the service is fast. This might be the only downside: as soon as you sit down, you're asked for drinks, and ideally, your food order right away. As soon as you put your fork down, your plate is gone. It's certainly better than waiting for hours, but it does have a bit of an assembly-line feel. Nevertheless, I'll go back and highly recommend it.

The food was good, but we waited half an hour for drinks after ordering, and almost an hour for the food... What a shame...

We went to this restaurant because all the others were closed and we saw people on the terrace, but don't be fooled by appearances, the food was reheated and it was very expensive for what it was. I do not recommend it except as a last resort.

Decent food, attentive and pleasant service, and a good atmosphere. There were plenty of people around, considering it was 9 p.m. and virtually all the restaurants in the rest of town were closed. Good value for money.

We went there for pizza. We really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the cola is an Afri Cola and not Coca Cola. Please change that!!!

My daughter wanted to eat there because of the name. Her Margherita pizza was okay, my spaghetti aglio e olio had sand in it (poorly washed herbs?), and my red wine was really acidic.

The food is quite good. We had tortellini pana and rigatoni with ground beef. The young waitress was rude and unprofessional. Absolutely unacceptable... Otherwise, everything was fine.

Excellent, excellent, not the cheapest but open until relatively late in the city, 10:00 PM. A selection of good dishes and a refreshing Coke dessert.

We were happy to get a seat late in the evening. We received a friendly welcome, and then we were off. Drinks arrived very late. Food came in portions, so we couldn't eat together. Maultaschen were cold and far too expensive. Pizza was burnt and inedible. I was shocked when "family/friends" suddenly appeared next to us. Within a few minutes, they said they had drinks and their food. We had to wait 45 minutes with two small children... unacceptable...

We were there on vacation about three years ago, and now we're back, and I really wanted to go back to this pizzeria as the final stop of our vacation. My husband got the wrong pizza, with no seasoning or anything like that on the table. I was very disappointed 😞

Avoid! Poor value for money. Poorly cooked dishes (overcooked meat, raw pork cordon bleu, etc.) Unfriendly waiters. The worst part? We were charged for two items even though we never ordered them. In short, nothing works.

Everything correct and spacious

I didn't like it.... I feel like I'm eating a ready meal from Lidl or Aldi... my stomach hurts....

Do yourself a favor and find a place that truly delivers culinary delights. That's very difficult here. Pizza dough was far too salty and baked too dark. Maultaschen were massively overpriced. The gnocchi sauce was edible but not truly enjoyable, which is a perfect description of all the dishes. Service was okay at first, then we only got half the food, and 30 minutes later, the pizzas. After the bill, we weren't given an opportunity to pay.

Everything is perfect except for the service. Very unfriendly. They're only there to make money, and you're literally overrun when it comes to seating.

This is where we had the worst tasting non-alcoholic wheat beer we've ever had!

The food wasn't outstanding, it seemed like it came from a can, tomato sauce and Maultaschen.

It was just enough for two. The food was really bad. It tasted like a ready-made meal from the microwave. The service wasn't particularly friendly, but at least it was quick and reliable. The place looks good, though, and it'll probably be enough for a simple drink. There are better options nearby.

Bad food, microwaved in a small bowl, tasteless, and expensive. The staff was rather unfriendly. But you can sit comfortably, and it came quickly.

Bad food. Very expensive for the quality of the food you get. If you order a tuna pizza, you actually get a pizza with onions. There was so much onion and little flavor, and the pizza was practically drowning in oil. The schnitzel was incredibly greasy and tasteless. I got the feeling it wasn't even made fresh. Later, I peeked in the kitchen while paying, and they had made a salami pizza, but it was supposed to be a margarita; the salami was simply tossed off and served. The staff was okay. Not a place I'd recommend.

Very expensive, no smiles, no eye contact, lousy food. They've completely given themselves over to the bus-tour business and lost all passion, if they ever had any. Interior: a mix of cheap Spanish kitsch, German pub benches, but zero Italian...and that means the Rosso family has their name on the napkin. Ridiculous foreign tourist trap.

How embarrassing!!! We parked a van in the lot and had to park in two spots so as not to disturb anyone, and the owner put a cone and his car in front of us to prevent us from leaving. Then, he wanted to make us pay double the parking fee. I wouldn't go to his restaurant for that reason alone.

We were very satisfied with our visit to the Pferdestall restaurant. The roast pork with spaetzle was tender and truly delicious, the sauce beautifully spicy and rich in flavor. The sirloin steak with hunter's sauce was also good, although the meat was a bit firmer than expected. The spaghetti carbonara, while more of a "Germanized" version with cream, was still tasty – the bacon could have been cooked a bit more. The attentive and very friendly service deserves special mention. Although the restaurant was busy, it was pleasantly quiet and not overcrowded. We finished with a delicious tiramisu and ice cream – both highly recommended. A quick stop at the nearest café might be worthwhile for coffee (cappuccino/espresso). Overall, a successful evening in a pleasant atmosphere!

A large tourist restaurant that emphasizes quantity over quality. The pizza couldn't compare to anything from Italy. I find the bottle of water too expensive at €8.

We ordered carbonara and a pizza Milano. The carbonara was dry, tasteless, and without Parmesan cheese. The pizza also had absolutely no flavor. The service was unprofessional and the staff rude. I wouldn't visit this restaurant again.

One of the few restaurants in the area that still serves food after 8 p.m. If the less than 4-star rating from more than 1,000 guests isn't warning enough for you, then you'd better read on before you venture into this horse stable. Beautiful from the outside, the food terrible. Many waiters aren't allowed to be called waiters. That would be an insult to the profession. Absolutely disrespectful and rude. I had to get my plate from his hand at my seat myself. At least, that's what a waiter expected of me. Even at McDonald's, I get more professional service. It doesn't affect all waiters, but they have "professional" staff on board who they have to fire immediately.

A very disappointing restaurant. The dishes clearly lack flavor and give the impression of having been simply reheated, without any freshness or attention paid. A place that doesn't make you want to return.

This restaurant is busy, but the service is incredibly competent. We visited several times during our vacation because the food is truly amazing; we were only disappointed by the dessert. We were always treated in a friendly and courteous manner, and even in the most stressful of times, they were always able to answer any questions we had.

My rump steak was quite tasty. The service and friendliness could have been better.

We ordered a Wiener schnitzel with fries and a Jägerschnitzel with spaetzle. Unfortunately, the schnitzel was very greasy, and the fries seemed cheap and were also oily. The Jägersauce was watery and flavorless. With a Coke and a wine spritzer, we paid a total of €60 – unfortunately too much for the quality. In addition, the waiter barely spoke German, and food and drinks were repeatedly brought to the wrong table. Overall, the visit was disappointing.

Simply TERRIBLE! We waited almost an hour for our food... There were several insects in our plate!!!!!! Dirty food. I do NOT recommend it!!!!

A disaster! If I had the opportunity to give it five stars, I would do it immediately. The food was an absolute disgrace – tasteless, poorly prepared, and as soon as I finished it, I got severe stomach pains and diarrhea. I even had to see a doctor the next day. The staff was rude and completely unprofessional. Add to that the tiny portions, which wouldn't even feed a toddler, and the prices are completely exorbitant. I paid €104 for four people to stay half full. Stay away! This place will make you sick and angry, not full.

I ordered a dish with salad. The salad didn't arrive. I informed the server. Only, after complaining, the salad still didn't arrive. I then told a second server again. The reply was, "We just forgot about the colleague." The third server, to whom I told this, eventually informed a fourth server. After some discussion, the reply was that most of the staff there apparently didn't speak German and therefore hadn't passed on my complaint. At least I got the price of a side salad deducted from my bill. All in all, terrible service.

Since most restaurants in town close their kitchens at 8 p.m. at the latest, sometimes the only option left is the horse stable. The menu is extensive, from pizza to Baden specialties. Everything tastes solid, but don't expect miracles. The terrace overlooks the main street and the town, which is fine, but of course, can't compete with the lake view. Service was quick and friendly, so everything was fine.

German Italian cuisine. When we entered the "restaurant," I first thought we were at a Chinese buffet?! The staff was unfriendly and had no understanding of orders or requests/questions. We also had to overhear the waiter at the next table completely misunderstanding that we only wanted schnitzel with salad and no fries. The food is not of good quality, but this is reflected in the prices; the rest of the restaurant is also just cheap and unpleasant. We happened to be there and were extremely hungry. It initially appealed to us from the outside, but by the time we sat down at the table and had already ordered, we already realized it was a mistake. I prefer to eat somewhere where you spend a little more but get good service and good food. You won't get that at Restaurant Pferdestall.

The food was poorly presented. Turkey schnitzel came with a really small portion of fries. The pork schnitzel was the same. The pork schnitzel came with a truly horrible pre-made sauce, and the turkey schnitzel was dry and tasteless. Totally overpriced.

Very comfortable and tasty, but if the staff sneezes into their hand please wash your hands afterwards and do not continue to cover the table. Please pay attention to hygiene, please observe it yourself today.

Positive: The food was pretty good and the prices reasonable. Neutral: The interior design could use a little updating. Negative: We were served by five different waiters, only one of whom seemed to have experience. However, there's no shame in not being a trained waiter. In fact, they're not to be blamed. But a short course or explanation demonstrating how to place drinks on the table without the waiter's fingers touching the mouth of the glass would be helpful.

Great place and food!!! And what about the service, super!!! We found a nice corner of Sardinia in this place...for all the Sardinians in the area, stop by and ask in limba, and you'll have a nice surprise!!! 😉👍

We went there several times for dinner during our vacation. It was a very nice restaurant with a large terrace. The service was always very friendly. The food (pizza, pasta, salad) tasted wonderful. The dishes were also available in smaller portions, such as a senior citizen's plate.

The food was ok, I like to tip but if everyone doesn't want to work there, that's not the guests' problem, I have nothing against it, I just want to sit there and be treated well, and that's it, I can't recommend it

We ate there twice. The first pizza was okay. On the second visit, the pizza itself was even tastier than the first. The dough on all three pizzas was so hard that it was impossible to cut, even with the steak knives that were later provided. The service was friendly and professional, but it felt like a mass-production operation. When we pointed out the cement base of the pizza, the waitress just grinned. It's a shame, but that's it for me. With the huge selection of restaurants in Titisee, I'd rather go somewhere else.
