Restaurant Pferdestall in Titisee-Neustadt

We had a pizza, schnitzel, fries and a steak. The prices are of course justified these days, but they are still high. My wife liked the steak okay, but my pizza and the schnitzel were eaten well.

The sauces for the pasta dishes weren't exactly great, with little taste. The waitress seemed reluctant to do her job. The atmosphere was quite cold as both doors were open and we were sitting in the cold draft. A change of table hardly brought any improvement.

Delicious food, something for everyone.

For a tourist place, moderate prices and good food. Fast, friendly service.

There were 9 of us and we had pizza, salad, pasta and turkey. Service top, taste great, price performance top. Can't understand the previous reviews at all! The 3 children were also treated very well.

We ate there twice this summer. On the first evening everything was great. The food was delicious and the food was served in a timely manner. However, things were completely different on the second evening. Since I had to avoid fatty foods due to an upcoming operation, I asked if there was something I could change about a dish. Waiter said it was no problem. Everyone else got their food and mine took a long time. At some point you heard a scream from the kitchen and then the waiter came back and said my special order wasn't possible... Everyone else had already eaten half of their plates and I didn't want to order anything new. Because I was hungry, it ended up being the tiramisu because I thought it had to be served straight away and so I wasn't the only one eating it... I thought wrong. The tiramisu came after 20 minutes where everyone had already eaten. The taste was great but the service was absolutely terrible. No smiles etc. Not even an apology about my food. You should request such a “special order” directly from the chef. We can only partially recommend it. Unfortunately it's the only shop on site that's open late :(

Luckily, we prefer to make up our own minds. We had the cordon bleu twice, a schnitzel and a lasagne. All dishes were excellent! The staff was friendly and attentive!

The name of the restaurant says it all! There you can find the real nightmare cuisine! Toasted potatoes, tough meat, forgotten and badly made dishes quickly to repair! I'm sorry for the Italian waiters who are kind! There's no point in answering but you ate everything because that's not the case

Unfortunately the drinks were bad and cheap but expensive. There was no toilet paper in all the toilets.

So after all the negative reviews we made our own opinion. The food was excellent. The service was very friendly and attentive. Then we thought maybe we were just lucky. A few days later we went there again for dinner. It was just as excellent as the first time. So we can only recommend this restaurant. Thank you for two wonderful evenings.

I recently visited Restaurant Pferdestall in Titisee-Neustadt with a group of friends, and we had an enjoyable experience. The location is lovely, and the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed meal. Food: • Italian Veg Margarita Pizza: I ordered the Veg Margarita Pizza, and it was simple yet delicious. The crust was perfectly baked with a good balance of cheese and sauce, making it a light and flavorful option for vegetarians. • Tiramisu (Dessert): For dessert, I had a slice of Tiramisu, which was rich and creamy with a delightful coffee flavor. The dusting of cocoa on top and the smooth layers made it a memorable finish to the meal. It even came with a small Italian flag, which was a nice touch! (See the image above for reference). • Chicken Pasta with White Sauce (Friend’s Order): One of my friends ordered the Chicken Pasta, and the white sauce was creamy and seasoned just right. Most unfriendly place, trading on pretence of being open when other restaurants were closed. Attitude of our waitress was appalling and it seemed rest of staff with similar disinterested attitude to customers They all seemed bored with their lot and this showed. The food also was no much better. My veal schnitzel was uninteresting and served with some sort of plum relish of no taste. The chips were abysmal. This at a cost of €28. Totally unacceptable. My wife's pasta dish had a meagre a.ount of salmon and spinach ... absolutely rubbish. If I could give a 0 star to this place it would be given.

No card payment because “the internet is bad” (my smartphone had three bars of LTE). Service was more annoyed about work than friendly to guests. The food itself was good (pizza with Black Forest ham). Nice decoration, bright.

We went there on a relaxed Wednesday evening. The ambience is very appealing. The service was attentive and particularly nice. You could tell that it was an Italian restaurant, but really only in a positive way. The food was particularly great. My friend had a pork schnitzel, which was really excellent. I had a mix salad with turkey strips. This was incredibly filling and taste-free. I like saltier foods, but this salad was one of the best I've had so far. I don't understand the bad reviews at all. Better try it out yourself.

I was originally concerned about the many negative reviews, but luckily they weren't accurate, but rather the opposite. The service was super friendly and the food was good too.

Waited too, too long between starter and main, 30 min! When I asked for main course, I got a smile and waiter said soon. No apology, no excuse. But Goulash soup starter was perhaps best I have ever had! Mian of their 'Special' was not special, perhaps the smallest, most boring Bratwurst I have ever had. A great location for a restaurant but they appear to rely on this rather than service and quality of food

It's a bit of a tourist rip off. 1 pizza, children's schnitzel, spaetzle with sauce and a salad with chicken, 1 wheat beer and 2 small Sprite. Almost 60€ The employees are a bit listless. And the quality of the food isn't great either.

Very busy during our visit. Inside it is not very atmospheric, the terrace is fine. Long wait for order to be taken. The pizza and salad were delicious. All in all excellent, also in terms of price/quality.

The only one who survived was the young Bosnian waiter, dear Rocco, 10 years ago with the beef fillets with green pepper you made people come back from 50 km, now it's a shame you understand that tourism works once and who cares passes, 130 euros thrown in the bin. Too bad

At least they were open. Spent Monday evening in Titisee this week. The whole place goes into lockdown at 18.00 hrs Fortunately Pferdestall was open People queuing out of the door, not because of its popularity but of necessity.

The unfriendly older gentleman who served us, after ordering the drinks and the food, there were three beers and one non-alcoholic beer, two beers came and the non-alcoholic one. We had to wait a long time for the third despite multiple requests, the food only came after a complaint 60 minutes with a waiter with some insight, it had been forgotten, 🤦 we won't go there again on our vacation. It's a shame about the time wasted and we didn't give any more tips either.

I had already been to this restaurant a few years ago and had rather good memories of it. I absolutely didn't recognize it, standard food, station hall atmosphere and service with an approximate smile. In short, not interesting even if cheap

We spontaneously went to eat there without knowing the reviews beforehand. The restaurant was very busy. The location was great 👍🏼 The service was very attentive and quick.. maybe slightly annoyed/stressed. We had fries and rigatoni. Both were okay but really just okay... unfortunately this is our rating.

Gastronmie für Unempfindliche! Desinteressiertes Personal, Küche in Ordnung - einfach ohne grosse Ansprüche, Hauptgang wurde exakt 3 Minuten nach der Hauptspeise serviert! Alles in allem zu viel Aufmerksamkeit während der “Abfertigung“, dafür nachher kein Interesse mehr eine Nachspeise anzubieten. Alles in allem nicht gemüthlich und nicht empfehlenswert für einen schönen Abend.

Good plates in the nice weather day

I can't fully understand (all) the negative reviews here 🤔 I am a regular guest here and yesterday we had a club outing with a lunch stop at the horse stable. From the table reservation to reserved parking spaces for us to the farewell, everything was very good. The only thing there was a little confusion because the first waiter took the order and another brought it. But you can talk to each other. As always, the food was very well prepared, fresh and of good quality. (Yes, as a former chef I can judge this too) One member of us can't eat everything because of allergies. Since I clarified this with the owner beforehand, he was allowed to take whatever he could eat with him and it was prepared on site according to his instructions. This service cannot be taken for granted! I read something that it was a tourist trap... I can't confirm that! Of course you are in a place that thrives on tourists, but as a guest you can use the parking lot cheaply and go to the toilet for free. Everything was clean and tidy and it's normal that you have to wait a few minutes in a full restaurant! If you don't have that time and patience, you shouldn't visit a place like this! I will definitely stop by there again and enjoy the food.

Was mich aber am meisten störte, ist dass der italienische Kellner beim Davonlaufen von einem vollbesetzten Tisch (alle Gäste aßen wohl "Wiener Schnitzel", was wohl nicht dem italienisschen Flair entspricht) in absolut respektloser Art und Weise auf italienisch vor sich hin schimpfte in der Annahme, dass das wohl niemand bemerkt!!!

Of the four meals, three were quite ok and one was not really edible. Waiter was friendly but not that attentive. Waiting time of over an hour.

Very nice location to start with a positive note hihi!😜 The service was not helpful, only after about 15 minutes were we able to order, which caused the first irritations... After all, when we ordered we had to wait a very long time for the food. In addition, the pizza was really not tasty (I could have made it myself, but it would be tastier haha😉). My fellow traveler ordered pasta with cheese, but didn't like the cheese. He beckoned the waiter with his eyebrow when the waiter realized that he had forgotten the cheese. Only 10 minutes yes you heard it 10! Minutes later the waiter came to bring the cheese he said he forgot. All very striking. Conclusion be wise and skip this store to save your money and effort!

Case with too many tables than they can handle, first received the menu very quickly and then waited fifteen minutes for it to be taken (on a Tuesday evening). When I got my pasta there was no cheese on it, when this was offered by the service, this was ultimately a Arrived fifteen minutes later, the price is high for what you get. Next to the restaurant there is a train track where a train passes every 10 minutes, and Lake Titi cannot be seen from the terrace. Conclusion: Not recommended, mediocre food, I didn't feel invited or seen by the service.

Nice restaurant, friendly service, there were five of us there. Since I wasn't hungry from breakfast, I tried the lemon ice cream in the artificial lemon. The others had lunch there and were at peace. Since they saw my satisfaction with the lemon ice cream, they also ordered some ice cream. Unfortunately the pineapple ice cream was available on the menu. Then instead of pineapple ice cream, orange ice cream and lemon ice cream were ordered. I ordered a second lemon ice cream. Large and busy restaurant that at least still receives customers after 8 p.m. Service took a while, which is normal for such a large number of tables. The pizza and penne arabiata tasted as they should in an Italian kitchen.

This evening, despite all the negative reviews, we wanted to form our own opinion about this restaurant. Well, a total of 7 people came in and got a table. Apart from the reception, I already thought at this point that it wasn't going to go well. We placed the order for the drinks and were shown the classic tourist menu. In principle, it shouldn't be a problem to smoothly serve 7 drinks from one order to the table. Here was the nicest thing, a drink was missing, I got up and went to the counter to complain about the missing drink, as the waitress didn't react to my signal, the drink was simply pushed into my hand in the manner here take it and it's good . The cola tasted like the Golden Swallow from the dispenser, just before the Sirop bag was empty. Then the superstructure, I am of the opinion that the menu should already say that it is Afri Cola and not list Cola, Fanta and Spezi on the menu. When I order a Coke, I want a Coke and not a Coke knock-off. So to clarify, sparkling water with a touch of cola flavor. Now the waitress came to take the food order and no fun, we had to wait an incredible 60 minutes for a few pizzas and pasta dishes. Then the big thing, two three dishes were served, one was almost finished with his pizza, then the rest came. If the dishes were all 100% tip-top, you wouldn't even complain, but it's just showing off that the kitchen staff lacks competence. The carbonara with egg and, as a culinary addition, a good egg shell. So not just half the egg shell where the egg was in it, but also several egg shell fragments. The salmon noodles were probably cooked on a low heat, they stuck to your teeth and were very firm to the bite. Unfortunately, we were also disappointed on the culinary level. The worst thing I found was that the food wasn't served synchronously. In theory, half of the staff sat at the table and watched each other eat before or after. So much for going out to eat together. Regarding the service, as many have already written here, I can only confirm the tourist trap. I see service differently. A smile makes so much difference, especially when deciding on a tip. Thank you and please are also rather rare. It's a shame because the location is actually nice. And generally we're the ones who tend to have dessert, coffee and stuff like that and also a digestif, but here we just wanted to leave. Personally, I wanted to form my own opinion and now I know once and never again. Everyone should form their own opinion about the horse stable. In principle, the name fits almost like a glove. This review was based on my own experience and unfortunately I cannot recommend the Pferdestall restaurant, but everyone should still gather their own experiences and form an opinion.

Very good pizza and Italian cuisine.. Very friendly staff...very busy, so it often takes a little longer until you are served and the food you ordered arrives.

I never eat Italian abroad, but in Titisee, where the restaurant kitchens close at 7.00/7.30 pm, we fortunately found this Italian restaurant. We ate pizza and I must say it was good, for Germany. I recommend it and would go back.

Very good Italian restaurant with a great location We ate salads and pizza. Both were very good. The service was friendly and quick. On the terrace you can wonderfully watch the hustle and bustle of the place.

The kitchen and service staff are clearly overwhelmed by the number of visitors. Everyone around us gets food first, even though they ordered later. There were three of us and my husband's food came much later. When asked it was said: "...it burned..." I was almost finished eating when my husband's finally arrived. A little “compensation” would have been nice. In the end we had to do it 4 times!!! Asking for the bill - after the first clear mistake, an absurdity! Better go somewhere else.

I don't recommend it at all. Haughty and impertinent treatment by workers. I ordered some fruti di mare spaghetti, they had clams and mussels, but for shrimp I only saw half a small peeled shrimp... Terrible restaurant. There are MANY wasps on the terrace, they don't let you eat in peace. They get into your glasses and ruin your drink.

Food was like this: well... cheese spaetzle didn't have much to do with the original. Service staff was nice since I speak Italian. Ambiance: Since it was very full, it was very loud. We were there because we were very hungry. But probably wouldn't go there again.

The waiter apparently had a bad day and shouldn't have let it loose on the customers that evening. As a guest you didn't really feel comfortable there. A strawberry jam was served with the Wiener Schnitzel, which was completely inappropriate, but apparently the staff are very keen on it. The salmon was well fried, but the potatoes were missing everything, no salt, no parsley, just bland. The fries with the schnitzel have also never seen salt. Given the prices, I can only say that it was absolutely not worth it for us.

The waiter who took care of us was nice, however the rest of the staff is a student population so I'll let you imagine... I had cannelloni they were very greasy and not sure if they were homemade .... My husband's pizza was also very greasy "Napoli". Mid-level restaurant.

Worthless. Grumpy staff. Would rather see you go. German Italian cuisine. I forgot that you shouldn't eat German food there. Apple strudel and sauce were downright bad. Italian dessert would be of cream and marzipan. Was frozen. "Then you should leave it alone" was the response to our criticism. And way too expensive.

The restaurant was full and there was no more space, but the staff was friendly and attentive... there were guests with a lot of special requests and very complicated people but they made the supper great...

Although guests had recently paid by credit card, this suddenly no longer worked. In fact, the lady had made a mistake when preparing the statement. Lying to guests is not an option. Thanks to the location, you can probably (still) afford something like that.

A warm welcome but you won't do justice to this slogan that is written large on the menu. The waiters and waitresses don't understand German, which in my opinion is essential when taking an order in a restaurant. The food is also more bad than good, in a restaurant I expect anything but EDKA good & cheap ketchup…. My conclusion is that I cannot recommend this restaurant for food.

Just as the name suggests, that's how it tastes. Fries are flabby and the pizza tastes like it came from the freezer at the supermarket. It's a shame such a disappointing restaurant for such a beautiful place

We arrived relatively late, but were served straight away and had very tasty food. We just sat a little apart and were then somewhat forgotten by the waitresses. But when it was noticed, they were immediately attentive and very friendly.

The best Italian restaurant, good food and friendly service.

"Hunger drove it in" Full of anticipation for delicious German and Italian food, we arrived at the Pferdestall restaurant after a hike. We were thirsty and unfortunately the staff didn't really notice us, even though they had seated us. We were looking forward to delicious schnitzel with fries. The food came after 8-10 minutes, the drinks were forgotten. The schnitzel had exactly as much breading as meat. It tasted like Toastys from the freezer, we assumed that it was ready-made schnitzel based on the look and taste. The price of almost 17 euros was not justified at all. Personal tip: Avoid restaurants, definitely improve the quality of the food and service.

Despite huge holiday crowds, a very well organized restaurant. No long waiting times, good prices and most importantly, just good food. That's why I ate it a second time. Pizza both times.

Side salad was tiny, pizzas were good, tiramisu was delicious, creme brulee had lumps. Some of the waitresses didn't speak German and when asked whether we could sit at the free table, they shrugged their shoulders. Always busy during tourist times because most restaurants close at 8 p.m. (!). The horse stable is open until 10 p.m. We were only there once.

Stopped in there and had a jägerschnitzel each. Was not on the menu but after asking for it, they made them for us. Nice place with a very young happy bunch of staff.

The pasta has a not exactly Italian ragù, I have never seen bay leaves used. The second German was good though..
