Il Boccone in Konstanz

Very chic restaurant, but also very loud due to the open design of the large rooms.

The Boccono is not a high-class restaurant, but the cuisine has been delivering very good, high quality for many years, which could also be seen in Italy. Given the large number of guests who are fed on Saturdays, this is very remarkable. The prices are absolutely reasonable for Konstanz.

Very good pizzas, definitely on the more pricey side but with the kind of ambiance you get here totally worth it. I would recommend going with the salmon pizza and you should definitely add some of the chili oil it works wonders.

Terrible service, the waiters are rude and argue with visitors. Happened more than once.

I was at Il Boccone yesterday and am happy to tell you my impressions. My wife had vitello tonnato and osso buco as the main course, I had a small salad and a beef roulade. We were greeted warmly at the entrance and shown to the table. We quickly received the card and were able to order the drinks. The food was absolutely top class, the sauces thickened wonderfully, the quality of the meat was excellent, the salad dressing was perfect. The service was really unsurpassed, friendly and accommodating. I'm already looking forward to the next visit. Thank you very much for this great hospitality.

A little too much hype about the place. Went here on a recommendation and made a reservation. The place was full and we were quickly shown to our table. Service was quick, but just came by quickly. And food was just so-so. Starter 2x salad and once grilled pulp - tasted good, but the warmest thing was the plate. The main course was 2x pasta from the daily menu and once pasta and a pizza from the normal menu. The pasta was ok - but just ok, but the base of the pizza was one of the worst I've had in a long time. Tough, tasteless, not mine at all. Too bad. And finally 4 espressos, which tasted burnt. In addition, the price range is rather high - you still have to increase a lot.

The picture can be so beautiful. If the frame is bad, it spoils the whole picture. At the entrance, the first impression is crucial and being greeted with disinterest, no smile and no “good evening” shows a lot. The ambience is great, the food was really great but all the waiters are subpar. The guest wants to taste the food and, above all, smell it, which was difficult to achieve given the waiter's pungent perfume. One in a shirt, the other in a sweater. This one will probably come in handy when laughing in the basement. And if you are met with the same “warmth” when you leave the restaurant as when you entered, you don’t recommend this restaurant.

Charming restaurant with a large and bright lounge bar. Excellent menu with vegan or vegetarian dishes. We were here last Saturday and enjoyed a good homemade starter and beef rolls but the dish that fully satisfied us was the homemade tagliolini with porcini mushrooms: truly excellent! I've been there twice in 2 weeks... if you're disappointed twice there's just something wrong... I don't feel like arguing with the service about a salmon that didn't turn out well or having to justify myself if I don't have tomato sauce or something Sud and I order with oil instead and the order doesn't come. In the L osteria they offered me a coffee when they noticed that our table hadn't been served for a long time... that's what I call good service! Nothing like that at Il Boccone and just pointless discussions. They have a great atmosphere but the price of the food is no longer worth it to us. It used to be much better there!

In July I attended a party with around 190 people at Il Boccone. Unfortunately, the external impression of an upscale restaurant is deceptive. Even though the ambience was nice, there are unfortunately some negative points. The portions of the three-course menu were small and not appropriate for the high price. The service left a lot to be desired - very unprofessional and overwhelmed. There were already delays with the starter and the regular refilling of water was neglected. Some tables didn't even take drink orders. It was also loud on the upper floor because there were other guests there, which disrupted the event and the atmosphere. Based on this experience, I strongly advise against hosting events at Il Boccone - there are much better alternatives in Konstanz.

First-class Italian fine dining. The pasta is homemade and the menu is not overloaded. The service is very good and attentive. The prices are reasonable. We would go back at any time.

When we got to the second floor, we stood there for 2 minutes as if we hadn't been picked up and then tried to contact the person in charge. All drink sizes are questionable and 2dl of cola was 4 euros?!!! So we ordered mineral water, the bottle was simply placed on the table and not even poured, at such a higher-class restaurant. When we ordered everything, the drink mixer turned on and we could hardly talk because it was so loud. The food was fine, but not particularly good. When we were finished, no one came to ask us about dessert or the bill. I wouldn't recommend it. Especially given the high prices for German standards.

The best pizza in town! The seasonal ideas are fantastic and incredibly varied. This beginning of autumn, for example, pizza with gorgonzola, radicchio and caramelized walnuts. YUMMY!

Pseudo Italian restaurant. The somewhat particular mise en place: glasses, white cotton tablecloth, but paper napkins and cutlery left in the middle of the table to be divided among the diners. The menu in Italian. We had good rosé wine, a mixed starter, which had very little Italian flavor and wasn't crazy, and then very good salmon tartare and a pepper entrecotte that wasn't tender. Good sweet tiramisu and good sorbet. I wouldn't go back.

Last night I had a drink with my girlfriend at Il Boccone. Since I come from Switzerland and am rarely in Germany, I was not aware that the restaurant uses an extremely unfavorable exchange rate. We paid in Swiss francs and were told that 50 francs equals 40 euros. That didn't sound particularly good, but in the end we paid 120 francs for 90 euros! This is completely unacceptable and feels like a rip off. Such an unfair exchange rate borders on fraud and I absolutely cannot recommend the restaurant. Anyone who comes here as a tourist and pays with a different currency should be aware that they are being ripped off. I definitely won't be coming back and advise anyone not paying in euros to be extra careful.

Great little place, nice service, the pizzas were delicious, and the panna kotta was divine, to this day we don't know what was grated on top, but it's not that interesting, it was delicious and ready! 😀 It's worth sitting in, I don't think anyone will be disappointed.

A great restaurant in the middle of the city. The selection of dishes is small but fine, i.e. the menu is not overloaded with tons of different dishes, but what is offered is correspondingly good and tasty. Unfortunately the food was identical to the second time. The service was quite ok. The starters salad and the dressing are super tasty unfortunately the salad almost came as a dessert. We had two pizzas 🍕 which, like TK, were only 10 times as expensive, unfortunately without any taste and dry due to the thickness of 1mm base, unfortunately they also cold very quickly. Such a shame....... You can certainly do better, but considering your prices it's a real shame.

When we made the reservation by phone, they hung up the phone with the explanation “Sorry, I don’t understand you”. The live music was probably too loud… Then we spontaneously went in at 9:20 p.m. and were told that we would like to sit at one of the two tables (even though the restaurant was not very busy), so no table for four. We were given the normal menu without any notice. After we relative. After waiting a long time and finally being able to order at 8:33 p.m., we were told that from 9:30 p.m. there would only be pizza and salad. We stopped ordering the Il Blue wine and paid for the water and left the restaurant. Unfortunately, this restaurant has no idea of ​​customer focus. The staff is not friendly or motivated either. A friendly note at the beginning or immediate ordering would have generated a great experience, around €300 in sales, tips and satisfied customers.

We spent a warm summer evening with good gin and tonics at this place. The drinks were well made. The service was ok until 10pm. From then on, the hard work seemed to steadily decrease. Location right on the street may not be ideal. But at least there is little traffic and a 30 zone. Servus is courteous and friendly. The food is an absolute stunner. We had the pizza burrata and the linguine ala lemone from the daily menu. Both taste very good, more like 6 than 5 stars. Gladly again.

When it comes to eating, it depends on which dish you buy. I had the linguine with salmon which was ok, a bit of spice was missing just like the pizza. But the lemon ravioli and the Bolognese are an absolute highlight. They were very, very tasty. The staff is trained and friendly but if you are busy you will sometimes be overlooked, especially if they are distracted with each other... Beer is expensive so I recommend just buying the bottle of wine straight away. In total I paid €110 for two people. Therefore, this is not a restaurant you can go to regularly, but on a special day when you meet up with friends, the overall ambience and service is adequate.

The staff (service) leaves you sitting for over 40 minutes without drinks and is very unfriendly I'm now giving the place a wide berth.

The pizza was cold and I unfortunately had to throw up immediately afterwards. You had to ask the staff if you wanted to order something.

The people with the pasta dishes went to the discount store to get the main course hungry and significantly poorer, also thanks to the prices of the drinks. Zu viel Personal, welches wandert zwischen der Tische und anscheinend keine Lust hat die Gäste zu bedienen. Komisches melancholisches, fast schon faules Verhalten. Man fühlt sich unwillkommen. Nice restaurant with a large screen for public viewing. I've been there twice recently. The first time there was a lot going on because of the football game. Unfortunately, we were only served after 45 minutes, even though we pointed out several times that we would like to order. The second time we were served faster.
