Il Bar in München

Unfortunately, the Nicchia did not meet my expectations at all! Waiting for more than an hour for the food to arrive and then not even all the dishes came together, that doesn't fit with the upscale image that is being suggested! The poorly fried, dry entrecote on 10 wilted leaves of arugula with 2 quartered tomatoes for 28 euros is almost outrageous even by Munich standards. If you wanted 5 potato wedges with it (in order to have a side dish at all) it was an additional 7 euros. The only nice thing about this restaurant is the decor, I won't go there again.

I had a wonderful lunch at Nicchia! From the reception to the farewell, everything was perfect. The ambience is inviting and stylish, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Particularly noteworthy was the food – every dish was a real delight, from the starter to the dessert. The ingredients were fresh and perfectly balanced. I can only recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit!

We had an excellent lunch and I really love the great atmosphere and the modern and very tasteful decor - what a great place in the city center! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Absolutely recommended!

To our negative review, the answer was simply "if you don't have any money, stay at home" and threatened with a report. That's not possible. Unfortunately, the food was simply not good and completely unjustified for the price/performance ratio. The food was far from fine dining and the behavior of the restaurant is truly subterranean. I would advise anyone not to eat at this establishment.

A great new discovery and even easy to reach, very centrally located. I immediately felt very welcome. The fish for lunch and the dessert - delicious. In short: I'll definitely be back.

The food was mediocre and therefore not up to the high prices for me. The food didn't come to the table at the same time, which meant some people were already finished eating when others hadn't even received their food yet. A waitress was also not particularly polite and the service in general was not what I expected. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Rarely experienced such poor service. The way criticism is responded to is completely unprofessional. Those who criticize are harassed and threatened on a private level over the telephone. Anyone who offers poor service must also expect a rating. The general conditions set by the restaurant were not adhered to by the restaurant itself.

Happen to bump into this place. Mother and daughter served me with the best Italian food I have ever eaten in Munich. My wife and I had a glass of wine and it was amazing. I did not want to leave the place. I will definitely repeat this spot every time I am in Munich.

Waited a long time for the food

The Nicchia is really an insider tip if you are looking for creative Italian cuisine in Munich. Here, real Italians cook with so much love that you can taste it in every bite. The owner is super warm and takes personal care to ensure that everything runs smoothly - you immediately feel welcome. The dishes are fresh, modern and always with a special twist. Plus the cozy atmosphere – simply perfect for a special evening. I can only recommend stopping by here!

I’m writing this review because I had a genuinely disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was far below expectations. The aglio olio pasta was bland, with only two tiny slices of garlic, and the dish was mostly just oil and noodles. The diavola pizza also missed the mark— it had an overpowering dough taste and only a few thin slices of salami. I initially thought the service was good, as the staff spoke English and greeted us with smiles. However, there was no bread offered before the meal, and the food was served lukewarm. It felt like the restaurant didn’t take much care in preparing or serving the food. This was my first visit, and I didn’t take action at the time, but I left feeling disappointed and questioning whether I had been a victim of a bad experience. I strongly advise people whoever see this, you can either trust my experience and choose somewhere else. Or, you can try it and if you are having a doubt of this bad experience incoming, please consider to leave the restaurant. It is your right to have okay food. Wish you all can improve and have a good day.

We went there on a Saturday night to celebrate a special occasion and were met with one of the worst dining experiences of my life. I ordered the Aglio e Olio Pasta and my husband ordered the Diavolo pizza. Everything went wrong right from the start. The food took an excruciatingly long time to come to the table and when it finally arrived it was cold. At that moment I was so hungry that I didn't care about the temperature, but when I took a bite it was an absolute disaster. The Aglio e Olio Pasta was not at all what was described on the menu. It should contain garlic, olive oil, tomatoes and basil. What I was served was a plate of bland pasta dipped in olive oil, with no garlic, no tomatoes and no flavor. The taste was completely flat - it was like someone had just tossed pasta in neutral oil without any effort or thought. My husband's Diavolo pizza was also bad. The menu promised a pizza with hot chili, but there was absolutely no spiciness to be found. It was as if the chef had forgotten the key ingredients or didn't care about preparing them properly. I regret not raising the issue with the staff, but honestly I didn't want to let it ruin our special day. Still, I couldn't shake the feeling that the meal was a cruel joke. I began to wonder if the chef was trying to mock us or if there might be some sort of racial prejudice at play. That was unprofessional – that was disrespectful. This restaurant clearly takes no pride in its food and I would advise anyone looking for a true Italian dish to go elsewhere. My special evening was ruined and I will never come back.

Came in on a Saturday lunch time for a one-man lunch and it was absolute perfection. Beautiful bread, Gnocchi was stunning and the coffee beautiful as well. I will absolutely be going back again next time I’m in the city.

I made a simple request, asking if they had Cacio e Pepe—a traditional Roman pasta made with pecorino Romano cheese and black pepper, a timeless classic in Italian cuisine. Although it wasn’t on the menu, they responded without hesitation: ‘We can make that for you.’ I then asked for a wine pairing, and once again, they exceeded expectations. The server not only knew exactly which cheese would be used but also recommended a wine varietal that would perfectly complement it. It’s clear that these folks are true professionals, passionate and knowledgeable about Italian cuisine. Highly recommended!

We booked well in advance on December 10th to have dinner on December 23rd. The reservation was confirmed to us, only to be canceled directly on December 23rd, just one hour before the time we booked. Definitely unprofessional and disrespectful attitude towards customers. We are very disappointed.

After a few days of Bavarian food we decided to change a little and found this cozy place. Excellent food, generous quantities and good prices. Furthermore, Ana and her partner are very nice and make you feel at home. If we return to Munich we will definitely repeat.

We were a group, the only customers there. Had a few drinks, being chill. A decoration glass fell due to the wind from closing the enrance door and when we left after paying for a petty expensive bill m, they told us to pay 3 euros for the broken glass . Outrageous . When we told them that it was no our fault , they started to be rude to us. It’s a place that tries to get anything from customers. Place with No vibe, owers unfriendly and rude! I will never go back

This is a great little restaurant in a somewhat unlikely location. The dishes use high-quality fresh ingredients; simple, but excellent. Very friendly service … cozy atmosphere, just not a lot of seats, which contributes to an intimate setting. Finally, the place doubles as a store for Italian delicatessen. Great concept, highly recommended!

A small restaurant in the centre of München in a sidestreet of the Karlplatz. Great quality! My husband had the pinza, which was described as a dish in between a pizza and a focaccia. I had the Monday dish lovely brown bread with a mixe of several vegetables in a delicious gentle olive sauce. The bread and the pinza were light and perfectly baked. The price only resp. € 12 and € 10. Absolutely worth it. The restaurant is easy to find next to Sixt. It was quiet, away from the busy terraces and peaceful. A splendid experience!

Fantastic food and wine!! We stumbled upon this very polished wine bar after our Fat Tire Segway tour. Ana is the owner and we had the best time talking with her that we came back the next day for lunch. We were so glad we did. Everything is so fresh and flavorful. We HIGHLY recommend everyone go support Ana’s wine and food.

Amazing Italian tiny restaurant in the heart of Munich. Hard to imagine to get such extremely high quality Italian food outside of Italy. Tiny place where you feel extremely welcome. Fantastic spot for us tourists as the staff speaks fluent English. The best burrata salad that I ever had and I had many of them in Italy and outside of Italy. Pasta is absolutely delicious. Must try cappuccino and desert. We visited today and I rarely review the restaurants but today I wanted to share this experience with fellow travellers who need periodic break from German food while in Munich

אוכל מעולה, שרות מושלם ואווירה קלילה. הגענו שניים לאכול ארוחת ערב, קיבלנו יחס מקסים לכל אורך השהות שלנו, מקצועי, אדיב ועם המון הומור. האוכל היה מצוין, מרגישים שהאוכל טרי, הפסטות מיוצרות במקום. מרגישים שהיד שמבשלת היא איטלקיה. היין היה מצוין, הבירה טובה, ובסוף אפילו קיבלנו לטעום את הגראפה, שהייתה ממש טעימה. מומלץ בחום!!!

In der Ill Bar wird auf Regionalität und Fairness gesetzt. Man bekommt neben den leckeren Speisen und Getränken auch italienische Spezialitäten wie z.B. Saucen oder Weine direkt aus Italien angeboten. Wir haben bisher noch keine Speisen der Bar probiert. Wir waren immer nur für einen Drink hier und waren immer sehr zufrieden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Gerne wieder!

Wir waren als Gruppe dort und fühlten uns sehr wohl. Von der sehr guten Qualität des Essens und der Getränke bis zur persönlichen Bedienung war alles so gut, dass ich gerne noch einmal hingehen möchte.

We stumbled upon this gem after wandering Karlsplatz for dinner. Wow, doesn’t explain the friendly staff, the delicious food and cozy feeling of the space. My food allergies usually limit Italian food options, but the food is all made to order, fresh and sourced local or from Italy. I had a wonderful pasta with pistachios and white tomato sauce. It was beyond yummy. My husband had the lasagna, and son had pizza- crust was phenomenal!! They said it was all delicious!! The wonderful lady who owns the restaurant was kind and made time to chat about the restaurant and food. if you find yourself in Munich after too much delicious German food, go for this restaurant.

In einer Passage gelegene/s Bar/Restaurant mit Blick auf den alten botanischen Garten. In warmen erdtönen gehaltenes Ambiente, dass zudem mit einer üppigen Echtholz Innenausstattung punktet. Wer eine exquisite Weinauswahl sucht wird hier ebenfalls fündig. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es da es drei Anläufe brauchte um mir einen heißen Milchkaffee zu servieren. Der jedoch war dann tatsächlich köstlich.
