Just beautiful. It's a bit old, but the place is perfect for a nice short vacation.

This was our first time there, we really liked it, it was out of season so it wasn't too crowded. We were very excited.

We would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Our rooms were very unclean, the furnishings were outdated, mattresses were completely worn out, unpleasant smells from the kitchenette and bathroom. Breakfast and the view were the only positive things about our stay. We won't be coming back.

The location on the beach is great even in bad weather. The rooms are functionally furnished and always have a view of the Baltic Sea. The fridge in our room was probably powered by diesel, but from the sound of it (fun) it was still great...

The rooms were very clean, stunning views. Unfortunately, the cooperation with the Windrose restaurant is terrible! We were told at reception we didn't need to reserve a table. When we checked out on Sunday, the lady at the reception warned us. "It's very busy today." So we waited in line for about 30 minutes to get a table, for which we had unfortunately already paid for breakfast. Annoying and unfortunately overshadowing an otherwise lovely stay.

Just the 70s. Beach okay. If you want peace and quiet, ideal. Best in the off-season. But then not all restaurants are open. So off to the city.

The hotel is getting old and the mattresses are really not ok! Great view and nice staff. But what really scares me is the wind!! It whistles through every crack, through the elevator and through the air shafts from bottom to top. What happens if a fire breaks out? Is the Lopesan Group saving on this?

We were there for two nights. Unfortunately the weather wasn't that nice. The hotel is located directly by the sea. you can take a walk along the promenade. The room was a bit outdated but the value for money was ok.

211€/night for an “old building” is completely excessive.

I've been coming here for ages and always enjoy it. Yes, some of the rooms are not modern, but they are clean. And if they weren't, we let them know straight away and were able to change. No problem, you just have to say it right away and not whine until after your vacation 😉. Many thanks also to the IFA team for keeping my forgotten fairy lights from last time 😊.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The buffet in the evening and morning is very rich. The location is of course undeniably very good. The hotel is getting old and the furniture is now worn out. The mattresses are extremely soft and too narrow. Shower curtains are no longer contemporary and unhygienic.

Hello IFA team, I'm surprised I haven't written a review long ago. We have been to the IFA Hotel on Fehmarn 6 or 7 times now and have always been thrilled. The location on the beach is perfect and if you have a distant view room on one of the upper floors you can see far out to sea. Fantastic. Although the rooms are getting old, they are still perfectly adequate, large and clean. The service and employees are always very courteous. I haven't had anything negative to say about it in all these years. We always booked half board when we visited, so we had a breakfast and dinner buffet. There was something for everyone here and if our kids wanted something extra (chips) we had it at no extra cost. One star deduction (4 instead of 5) for the furnishings (rooms)...it could maybe be modernized after x years :-) Until the next vacation.

It's getting a bit old. But that's not a drama. The price was great. In the front row with a great view over the Baltic Sea. We have stayed here many times and will come again.

I was your guest at the end of November. I got the view I wanted and was able to take beautiful pictures. Sunrise 🌄 on the south beach is a real dream. Gladly again..... - getting old - - Room was clean - unfortunately very old (the sofa was rustic and the leather was partially chipped and left white spots on my sweater) - the breakfast buffet was very tasty and plentiful - fantastic view - very quiet

Yes. It's just a holiday area. Restaurant good. Staff nice. Unfortunately, there are also craftsmen living in the hotel who cannot maintain a dress code in the restaurant. We'd love to come back.

Spent a really great time and treatment there. My accompanying children also thought it was great there. Room great. House service top, therapists of all kinds top, kitchen staff top, food good, view and proximity to the beach can't be beat. Big praise!!

The room was getting old, but it was clean. Unfortunately, the beds were a disaster. They sagged and wobbled back and forth like pudding, which is why a good night's sleep was unfortunately not possible. There should also be assigned parking spaces so that guests from House 1 do not have to park at the back of House 3.

We stayed in this hotel on the weekend of 18/20/1024. Basically it was a nice stay. But you have to make compromises here too. I like children, they are the future, if the producers and educators give their children too much freedom in certain situations, running around, screaming........I will no longer book my vacation at a time when there are vacations . I also didn't understand why families were distributed in such a way that single travelers were disturbed.

I've been coming here again and again since the late 90's. Previously with my parents, now with my own family. The house, or rather the houses, have aged along with me. If you want, you can see cosmetic flaws and the need for renovation everywhere. This time we had a 2-room apartment again, in house 2 (Berlin). The chairs at the dining table were not worn out, but - we suspect - they were already badly worn out from a lot of cleaning (corona disinfection?). A more visual defect that doesn't harm the actual purpose. The sofa bed might need a new mattress. Unfortunately this was broken. In the room, as well as throughout the building, you could see the efforts of the house service to temporarily save the guests' scratches and damage as best they could over the season. But hey. Everything was clean, the (silicone) joints in the bathroom were fresh and free of mold (I know this to be different even from “high-quality” hotels). What always draws us here is the good service, the beautiful view (no matter which room), the top location and the island itself. The restaurants in the complex are all good too. Whether Marché, Windrose or beach pizzeria. Price performance fits. The complex still has a certain charm, which it has lost relatively little of over the years. You can hate or love the towers. I/we think they are simply part of Fehmarn and should be preserved for a long time. Please don't let the renovation/renovation take too long. We would love to come back!

The restaurant is quite ok, not really good, but ok. However, the rooms definitely do not justify the horrendous price. All in all completely shabby and shabby. Some of the beds wobble when turned over and are more reminiscent of camping furniture than hotel beds. Everything else is also at least 40 years old. The staff in the restaurant are very friendly and helpful, at the reception only some of them are.

My partner and I stayed here for a week. A nice vacation. Whether alone, as a couple or as a whole family, there is something for everyone here.

We had a hotel room on the 14th floor where we had a great view! The breakfast buffet was great and there was everything from tea to coffee, especially the delicious rolls! We had the 4 nights including breakfast! It was my first time in a hotel and we will definitely come back!

A renovation would do the whole thing a lot of good. The entire building could have been on the other side of the inner-German border in the 80s. The location, however, is prime.

We have been coming to this hotel for 9 years now and have always had a two-room apartment. This year was really the highlight. We booked for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) plus a high chair. When we moved into the room there were only bedding and towels for 3 people and the high chair was also missing. Then I went to reception and reported this. It was also recorded by the employees and they told me that housekeeping would take care of it straight away and whether they could still do this work even if we were not in the room. I had agreed that they could enter the room despite our absence. When we came back from the evening walk it was exactly as we had left it. I then went back to reception and was told that the housekeeping staff was no longer there. I also had to pay 15 euros for a duvet cover, which I find excessive when the organization doesn't even work when you book for 4 people and you then have to do the work yourself. The mattress on the sofa bed is so worn out that you can see every feather and the mattress is really dirty. We have never been as disappointed as this time in this hotel and we will consider coming back again.

Very unpleasant treatment when I arrived at the hotel, nonchalant staff, nicer when I checked out. Poorly cleaned, not least the bathroom, disgusting! Very few facilities, those that were previously in the hotel are gone. The hotel's former charm and somewhat luxurious atmosphere is as if blown away.

Were always nice there on the beach

Yes, the house would be happy about a renovation, but I knew that from other reviews. Yes, there are a few dented spots in the room, but nothing that bothers you (unless you want it to bother you). It was clean. The location is great, the sea is right in front of your nose, the view is beautiful. The equipment is for four people and is sufficient even if you only stay a few days and have booked without meals. There is an indoor playground for the children, which is nice in bad weather.

Staff very friendly... can't move into the room until 5 p.m., not so great. I've known the system for years, but it's time to do something. Old, worn-out, I would almost say worn-out, furniture, WiFi very bad, relatively small TV, kitchen ok, beds comfortable, bathroom tiny, bathtub with shower curtain. (You can really save yourself the carelessly thrown bar of soap) These are no longer standards these days. And as great as the sea view is, it no longer justifies the price of over 100 euros/night. As much as we enjoyed staying with you, that will probably be the last time. And please don't write the standard sentence that always says that renovations are being planned.

Great hotel with super nice staff

A visually not so appealing hotel on a super beautiful island. We have been here at the hotel a few times during the summer holidays with our children, the last time in 2019. The staff was always friendly and the food was delicious and we always slept well. If you like a bit of hustle and bustle, this is the right place on the beach 😉.

Very good sea view, rooms have their own charm.

The only thing I didn't like about the small apartment, not just a room, was that there was no shower in the bathroom, but a bathtub. This was difficult with my walking disability. Accessibility was also not optimal in other ways. The food and service was very good! And the location, right by the sea, just great!

There are 3 tall buildings on the southern beach of Fehmarn that initially don't fit into the landscape. As a guest, this opinion changes immediately. The location is perfect, the leisure activities in the castle and the surrounding area leave nothing to be desired and good weather (with lots of wind) is part of Fehmarn. There are sea views in all rooms and the one from the upper floors is priceless. In our opinion, the price/performance ratio is more than ok. Beach lovers, bicycle tourists and walkers who want to enjoy the fresh air are perfectly accommodated here at a very good price. We have been guests on the island for over 30 years and in the early days we also had other accommodations in addition to the IFA Hotel. We have been booking the IFA Hotel several times a year for 20 years and have been guests in all of the hotels (from the Vitamar to the holiday apartments in the marina). The furnishings have a maritime charm, are old-fashioned for some, but bright, friendly, practical, clean, with plenty of storage space and good beds. The kitchen area is often small, but sufficient and equipped with the essentials. All in all, the equipment is getting old, but the quality is good and cannot be criticized. If something is wrong, the reception will help you quickly and friendly. In 30 years we have never experienced unfriendly employees. This is also what sets the IFA Hotel apart! The entire complex, including the associated restaurants, shops, sports and gaming facilities in the Vitarium, offers leisure and relaxation opportunities at any time of the year. The adjacent wave pool, which guests can use free of charge for 2 hours a day, is highly recommended, not only outside the summer season. By the way, each additional hour only costs 1 euro. A day ticket becomes a bargain! Overall, a 100% recommendation from us.

in 2024 there are still hotels in Germany where there is no normal internet access or even breakfast bags for sandwiches and the walk to the reception takes up to 15 minutes because the rooms are located one kilometer away from the reception.

Super friendly ladies and gentlemen at reception. Immediately received in a friendly manner and well informed. Admirable given the high number of people. For that, another 5 star plus. We were able to change apartments thanks to a very attentive employee. We have been coming to IFA for 31 years and this apartment was very familiar to us. We also celebrated our wedding anniversary on Fehmarn this year. The furnishings in the rooms are as they were back then. Unfortunately a bit too worn in parts. But that doesn't bother us. But they are very clean.

It was another very nice vacation. The view is breathtaking. Above all, every single holidaymaker has the same beautiful view of the Baltic Sea from one of the rooms in the 3 towers. It is a maximum of 30 meters to the beach. So ideally located for families with children to build sand castles or simply chill out on the beach in a beach chair or at the 360° bar and enjoy the weather and the view. Furthermore, it is even possible to do a mother-child treatment here. Also ideally located for this. If the weather is bad, there are also plenty of options for things to do with children. The hotel itself also has a playground inside. However, the rooms are a little old and in need of a makeover. Otherwise highly recommended.

This year we weren't happy at all. The request I expressed when booking was not taken into account. As a couple we were given two single beds, which we first had to put together. The room was still dirty/not cleaned and there was still food from the event in the fridge. The next day; A room was being cleaned... using a white towel from the bathroom, the table was wiped with one hand while the "gentleman" held his smartphone in the other hand and made a phone call. Despite the smoking ban, people smoked in the bar and the bartender said nothing or even joked around with these guests. I also had to wait almost 10 minutes before I could place my drink order. The bartender preferred chatting to other guests rather than serving because they spoke the same local language as him. Incidentally, there was smoking throughout the entire facility. Also on the balcony. Thank you for protecting non-smokers. In the “Windrose” restaurant you were treated very unprofessionally in the evening. The waiting times for memory cards, food and drinks were extremely long. Since you only have 1.5 hours, this is unreasonable. After the heavy rain, the balcony was not usable for several days because the balcony was completely under water and did not drain. The lady at the breakfast buffet deserves special mention. Very friendly, attentive, competent and quick. With this, the IFA has an absolute highlight and a great employee.

The furniture wasn't such a great sight. Already a little old. But you're actually only in the room to sleep. The view is great. The staff 5 stars. Always nice, cheerful staff when eating.

Outdated hotel with furnishings from the 70s, single beds could not be pushed together.

The hotel is not recommended for non-smokers or people who don't like the smell of cigarettes. Positive: The location of the hotel is very good. It is located close to the beach - which is very beautiful - and offers - depending on the room - a beautiful view. Negative: The rooms - and some of the hallways - smell very strongly of cigarette smoke/tobacco. The hotel is not for people - like us - who don't like that. After the smell of cigarettes hit us as soon as we opened the door of our - first - room, after many conversations and back and forth with the reception we tried out two more rooms - which weren't any better - and the lady at the reception did the same for us was also given an anti-tobacco odor spray (which she conjured up under the reception desk (-> seems to be a known problem) and which also smells impossible), we asked for our money back. We got this – after the whole ordeal – without any further problems. We then looked for other accommodation and will not be visiting the IFA Hotel on Fehmarn again. Unfortunately, you cannot rely on the information “non-smoking hotel/room” here (even if there is a “no smoking” sign on every room door). Check-in is also only possible late (from 5:00 p.m.). The rooms are - as in the pictures - compactly furnished, but the furniture (e.g. sofa) is already very worn and no longer looks like it does in the pictures.

The location and the view are simply fantastic. Service is perfect. All preliminary inquiries were answered promptly and friendly. Our wish to get the apartment as high up as possible was fulfilled. 15th floor with sea view in the middle building in Berlin straight ahead. Doesn't get any better. The apartment is simply furnished, but had everything as advertised. The only thing that probably hasn't been vacuumed for a while is under the couch. But okay, the mattresses were really great and the storage of the e-bikes in the garages in the parking lot was just great. Breakfast was also good. All in all we liked it and will come back. The hotel complex is already getting old. However, everything was available in our room and very clean, which also applies to the hotel. The staff was always friendly and always had an open ear to answer any questions. Breakfast costs €17.50 per person, but unfortunately there was a bit of freshness and variety missing. Unfortunately, the snack bar between the hotel buildings only offers Curywurst & Co. The great location right on the beach and the unique view make up for the small disadvantages. We really liked it! We'll be back! ☺️ We were also there in 2024 and we really enjoyed it again 👍🏼

Great rooms, bathroom needs to be renovated, or at least the shower curtain with the moldy corners replaced. Service first class. We felt comfortable.

We had a really great vacation on Fehmarn! The hotel has a great location, less than 5 minutes from the beach. Parking cat directly at the hotel. Since we only stayed in our room/apartment to sleep, it wasn't that bad that the furnishings are a little older. The renovation is being planned and when we checked in we were immediately informed of the problem with the internet. And that wasn't a problem at all - in a time when everyone always has to be reachable, the days without a cell phone were really great! Every morning the view of the sea, the seagulls and the sound of the sea were pure relaxation! The staff was super friendly and accommodating! We would love to come back next year and are already looking forward to another great vacation!

I had a nice holiday apartment. And a view of the sea. There is also a great swimming pool with a sauna.

But!!!! ADDENDUM!!!!! It WAS always a pleasure for me to come to the IFA Hotels in Fehmarn. ---Except for the last summer vacation.--- We now need an apartment with a shower because our family has reached 80° DISABILITY aG, care level 3. The apartment with a shower that we need now came with: "I would like the apartment number.... (with shower)" as booked in our booking documents. The surcharge we paid was apparently for the second floor and not the apartment on the second floor. This apartment with shower, which is in our booking documents, was unfortunately AWARDED on the day of our arrival, shortly before our arrival!!!!! THE STATEMENT from the hotel about this, "THE HOTEL DID NOTHING WRONG", led to our cancellation of the existing follow-up booking at the end of the year. This was also accepted without cancellation fees. ***** 5 stars remain. !!!!!!We have had 30 wonderful years at Ifa!!!!!! But due to MY WIFE'S DISABILITIES, booking FOR A LONGER STAY is no longer affordable for us. Otherwise, I stand by the old recession, even though this time something fundamental went wrong for us and I was actually annoyed the entire vacation because it cost almost €3,000. What follows is the old recession, written before the change of ownership of IFA Hotels. ----------------- I asked myself why I like the staff so much at this IFA hotel. Warmth. We have often experienced service and friendliness. Cordiality in addressing my concerns (my wife is not fit) is not a given. And I experience this again and again with the employees. Whether I call or have a concern on site. So, at this point, thank you to everyone. The room furnishings are solid. Any problems (the annoying issue of batteries in the television remote control, lamps that break...) will be resolved immediately. We were already looking forward to our next vacation at IFA Fehmarn. !!!!!!NOW IT'S AFTER 30 YEARS !!!!!!Bye Ifa!!!!!!! -Maybe we'll dare to go to the IFA again over the weekend. Sometime. Who knows. 30 years makes you sentimental. -------------------------------------------------- ------------ Now we have landed back at the Europa Agency in Bibione. -The service there is good so far.

Nice location, great food but rooms very run down. The worst thing is the internet reception. Wi-Fi poor, mobile data poor in the entire area, beach and accommodation.

We stayed at the hotel for the first time in March. The room was actually quite nice, but the view from the 4th floor directly onto the roof of the restaurant wasn't that great. There was hardly anything to be seen of the Baltic Sea. Day room had 2 beds, well you can push them together. Otherwise everything was so great that we booked again in September. I hope that we can now get a room on the other side and higher would be great. We're looking forward to it!! So see you soon...

A week's vacation. I can only recommend it, everything you need is there, especially everything has been thought of to make it a great vacation.

This holiday apartment/hotel complex is one of the most poorly maintained we have seen in a long time. Just to go into the points: WiFi, rooms and reception: - After a five-hour journey, you encounter a seven-meter-long queue at reception, which only slowly clears after 30 minutes as everyone is checking in. - the holiday apartments (we had booked two of them on two different floors) were in an incredibly worn and unclean condition. There is no window in the bathroom and no functioning ventilation. - WiFi is available, but so bad that a provider shouldn't advertise it. (our opinion) and finally: Pictures say more than a thousand words.

Supper, everything is great. I spent my second vacation for the second time.

I took away a star from the room because the furniture is insultingly worn and the bathroom taps have black edges (limescale and age deposits). No blame to the room maintenance staff, but to the operating company. Otherwise I stick with my earlier statement: Location is great. Bathrooms and furnishings in the apartments are outdated and have not been renovated for a long time. Equipped with different kitchen "units" and cutlery. No dishwasher, old hobs (plates). Anyone who loves it will still come back again and again. Whoever doesn't, doesn't.

We've been to ifa fehmarn several times, but unfortunately it's getting worse and worse. I had already booked 5 apartments a year ago for this year in August. Everything was ok with the two in the marina. With the 3 apartments in the Fernblick houses, I would have expressly asked to live on the upper floors and the rooms should be next to each other. This would also be noted on the booking. Ultimately we were distributed to floors 7, 11 and 14. When we asked at reception, the only answer was that we were lucky to be in the same house. That's not nice as a family. There were no fly screens on the balcony or window so you had to sleep with the window and door closed otherwise there would be an invasion of flies in the room. The frames on the outside of the window and balcony door are extremely dirty and have not been cleaned despite two complaints at reception. The mattresses are way too soft. The priceless sea view is positive. We had dinner at the Windrose and everything was perfect. Food delicious, staff very friendly. We are really thinking about booking our favorite hotel here again, but this year we were really more disappointed than nice. We would have booked Soltysec

Holiday apartment at the marina with a view of the marina. Very friendly welcome upon arrival and very good explanation of how to get to the apartment. Apartment is functionally furnished and was tidy and clean. Very nice view of the marina. Beach was about 100 meters behind the house. Parking space can be rented for 5 euros per night. Unfortunately, the parking lot numbers were a bit faded, so the initial orientation took a little longer - but it was right next to the front door.

The view is simply unique. The rooms are old but clean. The staff is very friendly and tries to solve any problems. A huge minus point are the activity options in the hotel. 4 of 7 gaming tables are defective. There's always a lot going on in the evenings. Maybe you should set up one or two more table tennis tables or repair the existing ones.

How can you build such ugly concrete blocks into the landscape?

The second time I was here was for a week in Haus Vitamar (family holiday apartment) good for self-catering. Like last time, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we were unlucky that a host family smoked in the room before us, despite the absolute ban on smoking in all rooms. The staff immediately took care of this problem using special room spray. The location of the hotel is wonderful as we are right on the beach. 2 minutes walk from the hotel to the beach. The south beach is cleaned every morning with special vehicles. The beach is ideal, even for families with small children, as you can walk a long way in and still stand a long way. The promenade on the south beach invites you to take a walk, there are many restaurants, ice cream parlors and shops for your daily needs. The Vitamar house also has a swimming pool and a sauna. You can also use a gym. As far as the furnishings of the rooms are concerned, everything is there, per number of people. The facility is getting old and it would be desirable to bring it into line with today's times. Despite all this, it's still OK for a family holiday. We love Fehmarn and especially the south beach, we always come back!!! Thanks for everything 🫶

Fantastic view of the Baltic Sea! The facility is a bit old. Renovations are probably planned. The room was still cozy with a bathtub and really comfortable mattresses. The internet is unfortunately very bad, but it is also a general problem on the island. The staff is very nice. There are some leisure activities, including indoor ones for rainy days. The beach is clean, you can get there in just a few minutes from your room.

Never again!!! We had a 2 room apartment in the marina. The location was quite ok. All the equipment is old. The rooms were completely dirty. The bathroom was full of hair and dirt. The shower stall hasn't been cleaned in a very long time. The fridge was dirty. There are stains and dead mosquitoes and beetles everywhere on the walls. The curtains are stained. And it smells really bad when you enter the apartment. This has nothing to do with the fact that something was overlooked. They simply don't clean here! And the wifi doesn't work. The bed squeaks with every movement. Unfortunately I can't say anything positive about the accommodation.

We only went to the beach bar and it was very nice and pleasant. You have to get your own drinks but that's OK
