Top-notch schnitzel, hunter-style. Absolutely delicious! The sauce is fantastic. Flo and the team provided fantastic service. We definitely recommend this restaurant. We ate everything from the menu with eight people. All the dishes were excellent! We would come again!

Prices were high, but the food was delicious. The service was very attentive. The garden restaurant with a view of the harbor was great.

The Sailor's Inn is located right in the marina. It has a lovely ambiance, and while enjoying delicious food and a cold or warm drink, you can watch seagulls fighting over breadcrumbs, people mooring or unmooring their boats, and people strolling by.

Very good fish. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't willing to make some vegetables instead of the potatoes, and the salad was as expensive as a meal anywhere else. Too bad, it would have been nice, but it's just too bad.

The waitress walked past us five times at the entrance without even saying hello, let alone asking us, and we left. We could do without such service.

"Successful shore leave at the Sailor's Inn" We were pleasantly surprised that we got a table right away, even without a reservation – and that in the middle of peak season. The service was warm, attentive, and pleasantly uncomplicated, exactly what you'd expect. The Sailor's Inn also impressed with its culinary offerings: The Wiener Schnitzel was classic and perfectly cooked, and the Pannfisch (pan-fried fish) is a real recommendation – fresh, delicious, and prepared with love. And the fair prices make it worth returning. In summary: A thoroughly enjoyable evening. Friendly staff, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere – we are completely satisfied and will definitely be back.

Too much seasoning (salt), high price, and no portion...

The food was absolutely delicious! It was a bit more expensive, but the quality of the food was outstanding. The service was very friendly and attentive. When my husband and I arrived at the restaurant, it was initially very empty, so we sat down at a table for six with a beach chair. After about 45 minutes, the restaurant was packed, and all the tables were taken. There were even people waiting for the next free table. However, at no point did the service make us feel like we should leave or anything like that. That's what we call hospitality! We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back.

The food was good. If you have older children (10 years old) with you, they'll be happy to recommend a larger table. The glass wall provides good protection from the wind. The prices are quite high. The staff are very friendly.

We stopped by spontaneously despite the rather bad weather. We were offered a small table for two in a back corner. Service was really good, and everything was quick. The schnitzel with fried potatoes was delicious, but the vegetarian burger was unfortunately completely different from what we expected. It still tasted okay.

We were on vacation on Fehmarn Island and ate a truly exceptionally delicious vegan burger at this restaurant – a kind of "pulled" version, completely plant-based and full of flavor. A truly fantastic and creative alternative that delighted us! The fries are also delicious! We would also like to express our special thanks for the fantastic service: We forgot our beloved rubber boots there, and the owner made sure we got them back. You don't experience such friendliness and helpfulness everywhere – thank you so much! We would love to come back!

We've had the great pleasure of visiting this wonderful restaurant several times now, and we're absolutely thrilled every time! The location is simply unbeatable – the view of the harbor is breathtaking and creates a relaxed and special atmosphere. The classically modern menu offers a great selection of dishes, whether fish or meat, that are both traditional and contemporary. The food is always incredibly fresh and delicious – you can really tell that the food is cooked with love and care. The service is also very positive and attentive, fulfilling every wish and rounding off the experience perfectly. All in all, an absolute highlight that we can highly recommend to everyone!

TipTop - Chef with a passion for his job! The food is excellent - there's something for every taste. Whether it's a fish sandwich for lunch, Captain Sparrow (a fish dish), or a curry rice dish with seafood and chicken strips - it's a true feast for the senses. The short wait outside the restaurant until you're seated is worth it. Tip: Just be patient for a few minutes or simply make a reservation in advance! 😉

We were spontaneously at the yacht harbor and stumbled upon this lovely restaurant. We had to wait a few minutes, but it wasn't a problem. We were able to sit outside and enjoy a lovely view of the harbor. The menu was small but excellent. The staff was very friendly. We ordered our food and drinks and, despite the busyness, received them relatively quickly. The dishes were all very well seasoned and therefore very tasty. We felt very comfortable at the Sailors Inn Fehmarn and can therefore recommend it without hesitation. Thank you very much!

The location is truly wonderful, and the food is excellent. The restaurant was reliably open even in the off-season, despite rain, storms, and thunderstorms. Always recommended. It's good value for money.

Mixed Experience at the Sailor's Inn We've had a vacation apartment across the street for years – you could say, as a peninsula resident, you're practically a neighbor. Despite this, I've only been to the Sailor's Inn twice so far. After my first visit, I deliberately didn't write a review – everyone deserves a second chance, after all. Last week – shortly before we handed over our apartment to new guests – my wife and I ate there again so I could recommend it in good conscience. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't impress us this time either. The service was friendly, but rather distant – a more cordial welcome would have benefited the visit. As for the food: In my opinion, the value for money isn't right. I'm certainly willing to pay a little more for quality and good service, and I understand the economic situation in the restaurant industry. But almost €100 for dinner for two, including three drinks each, was too much for a "spontaneous meal." Our holiday guests regularly ask for recommendations, so it was important to me to try the restaurant again myself. Looking back, it's noticeable that the prices have increased by €4 per dish in some cases over the past four years – it's definitely noticeable. Conclusion: It's certainly not a snack bar, and no one expects it to be. But the overall experience unfortunately didn't appeal to us. There probably won't be a third chance.

Unfortunately, the ambiance was a bit lackluster. The waitress also gave us cutlery relatively late, and the friendliness left a lot to be desired. The food was unseasoned and presented in a very unkind manner. The friendly second waitress was very attentive and understanding. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

Very tasty food and great service.

If we'd discovered this restaurant earlier, and not just on our last night, we definitely would have come back for dinner. Very good food. The fish soup was very spicy and delicious. The herring was made in a traditional German style, just like my grandmother used to make. 🥰 The pan-fried fish and cod fillet were also very good. The wait for the food was reasonable, and the price-performance ratio was absolutely fine.

Unfortunately, the value for money is very poor. A classic burger with cheese and fries costs €25! If it had been tasty... but unfortunately, the meat wasn't great and the burger bun was so old and tough that you couldn't even cut it. We were here a few years ago, and it was always delicious and busy back then. We were surprised that it's not as busy anymore, despite the fantastic location. Now we know why. A change of tenant, and with it, the quality. A real shame.

Since we were so impressed by the delicious food with the view of the harbor four years ago, we visited the restaurant again and unfortunately, we have to say that we didn't like it at all. The only thing that was nice was the ambiance by the harbor. The burgers were not tasty, and the kids' meal was also way overseasoned. We had severe stomach cramps afterward and unfortunately won't be going back to this restaurant. It was very expensive for the quality of the food. And we were annoyed that we paid so much for it, even though we had to return half of it. In complete contrast to the review four years ago, where we were very impressed by the quality of the food: Very tasty food. We were able to sit outside with a great view of the marina. A very child- and dog-friendly restaurant. We would love to come back!

Here, you pay for the view and the good weather. Long waits at the marina when the weather is nice. You also have to allow some time for the food. Unfortunately, the taste is not recommended. The schnitzel coating and both the classic and vegetarian burgers are completely over-seasoned and drenched in pepper. The burger patty is much too small for the bun. The bun isn't classic either, but rather tries to be a bit hype-y. Less is often more. It's a shame about the food. Service is nice. We wouldn't come again.

After a stroll, four of us went there for dinner. After a short wait, we had a fantastic table overlooking the harbor. Great food, super attentive service. We'll be happy to come back, and the wait was worth it.

We've been here every year so far, and it's always been okay. But unfortunately, not this year. The reception was okay, the menu was manageable. We had the Pannfisch (fried fish), which was carelessly layered with three small, unappetizing pieces of fried fish in the middle, very greasy, but otherwise not much flavor. The service during clearing was unprofessional ("move the things over"), with two beers and two small desserts. €95!! That night, my husband felt sick, had a stomachache, a slight fever, and he spent 24 hours in bed (we hadn't eaten anything else). A whole day of vacation ruined. Clearly triggered by the dinner. What a shame, we won't be coming back.

View of the marina, interior functional. Reserving a table for just one person was no problem, despite Ascension Day. The waitress was super nice, but sometimes not immediately available. As is often the case these days, the food is relatively expensive (matjes herring over €20). The "Fischpan" (fish pan) was quite tasty, but the fried potatoes were a bit greasy and the egg was too salty. Nevertheless, I can recommend the restaurant!

I wouldn't recommend. Frozen goods, the sour meat in the glass jar was absolutely not edible, the fried potatoes were too fatty and very badly fried, everything was very overpriced. We were very disappointed with the food. The location was great, the service was good.

The food was really excellent! The skipper plate for 2 people was just perfect! Food was high quality and very tasty prepared and served. The service was very friendly and the view of the marina was really nice! Even the EM live broadcast was a visual highlight under the tarp. All in all, we can only recommend it! Great atmosphere and despite the weather slowly getting colder, you can eat outside thanks to the hot radiators and, if you want, a cozy blanket. The price is too high, the food doesn't taste good, the service is nice

It seems to be a young team and still have a lot to learn, because when you enter the restaurant as a guest to occupy a reserved table, we were initially ignored. After 5 minutes a waiter came and asked, we were brought to the table and then sat there, another 5 minutes later the menu was brought to us without asking for a drink, ok we'll wait and see, the place was full to the brim . After another long minute we asked another waiter if he wanted to take our drink, oh no one was with us yet? No, then we ordered the food straight away, which is better because the neighbors at the next table were a little annoyed, they had been waiting for the food for a long time🤨. Then the first waiter came and just said to us that the pork was out, there was no more schnitzel... it was 8 p.m.? The question about another dish wasn't even asked. Another 10 minutes later a waitress came and said the dishes we had chosen were no longer available, what did we want now? Sorry, we had been sitting there for half an hour without a drink or ordering food, we didn't feel like it anymore, she should bring us the drinks and a bruschetta, then we left again. No sooner said than done... and when you paid you pointed out that as a team you still had to change a few things. If there was no staff there, I wasn't allowed to occupy so many tables, because you could hear the dissatisfaction of the guests everywhere. The food looked good from what we saw, but we can't say anything about the quality. The Fehmeraner beer 🍺 is recommended

We made a reservation here by phone, were warmly welcomed and given a nice table by the window. The employees are super friendly and gave great advice. The Störtebeker plank with spare ribs, chicken legs, fried calamari, prawns and fries was brilliant! The drinks were also really great. Unfortunately, it was somehow cool, even though the windows and doors were closed. We didn't fully understand why we were then moved because our table had already been reserved elsewhere. Nevertheless: you're doing well!

Wheelchair accessible. The combination of gluten-free with fish is not possible because all fish have already been breaded. So if you like to eat gluten-free fish, you've come to the wrong place. So we had to eat spare ribs because that was the only dish. We didn't see how to pay for vegan pasta dishes for €20. The waitress always asked in the kitchen because she didn't know. Otherwise a very nice location at the harbor.

Nice atmosphere, friendly service, taste mediocre, price-performance below ground. Our children had fish fingers with fries, my husband had the matjes “housewife style” and I had the rice pan. The fried potatoes were seasoned with chili and so spicy that I couldn't have eaten them; I had imagined my rice pan to be completely different based on the description on the menu. This was more like thawed nasi goreng, completely watery with two prawns on a skewer. Unfortunately it didn't taste good at all, so I left it, which I almost never do! The drinks were very expensive, as was the food! Apparently ready-made spice mixes are used. The adult dishes are nicely presented. When we were finished we had to wait a long time before we could pay. We asked for the bill twice because we wanted to leave with the tired children, but finding 3 incorrectly booked Aperols or the right guests was important. No one asked if it tasted good either.

Whenever we are on Fehmarn, we HAVE to go to the Sailor's Inn! Fantastic cuisine, great service and a great ambience simply invite you to linger and feast. The wait times aren't too long, no matter how busy it is. We are very satisfied and of course we always come back!

When the outdoor area had to be evacuated due to bad weather, everything was done to organize a place that was as quiet as possible for us despite the circumstances because we had our small dog with us and it was sometimes really loud due to the many guests. The food (schnitzel hunter style) was very tasty and the staff was very friendly.

Despite many customers, we immediately got a table in the really nice restaurant and were impressed by the entire staff. The food was delicious and the sanitary facilities were great too. The dog was also allowed to come along. Thanks for the evening.

I love the panfish there! The location is great too. In the high season when the weather is good you have to wait for the terrace seats, but it's worth it :-)

Not suitable for allergy sufferers. I ordered a dish that was marked as uncontaminated based on the allergen menu, which was very professional and reliable, and when ordering I emphasized again that I was (strictly) not allowed to eat gluten or milk. When I received my salad with chicken, after a few bites (including the chicken that was explicitly declared gluten-free), I noticed that there were thin sticks of wheat flour stuck into the salad. When the waitress brought the new (very banal) salad, the chicken was missing on the grounds that it also contained gluten. According to her statement, the allergen card had not been updated following changes to the court and was therefore misleading. She came a third time and said it was only small amounts. The whole behavior and especially this comment shows the ignorance and negligence of the restaurant. This is not about intolerances, but can e.g. For example, in the case of celiac disease (for which a disability certificate is issued due to its serious consequences), small amounts can lead to seizures, etc. To trivialize this and report it incorrectly is really unbearable as a catering business in this day and age - especially given the prices. The other food looked great and was probably very tasty too. Unfortunately, the evening was only marred by the fact that I sat next to it without food and we ended up paying €127 for three people have paid. They didn't even come to me with a drink while I watched the others eat.

Great restaurant with a very nice outdoor terrace overlooking the marina. Our waiter was a real Nordic cheerful person. I really liked it. The food (schnitzel & fish) was very tasty and to the point. The aioli was very tasty.

The menu has a bit of a Spanish flair (paella is called the “Sailor’s Inn” rice pan). The staff is warm, accommodating and the best thing about the restaurant. Unfortunately, there is a lot of frozen food that the kitchen tries to make something good out of. Honorable exceptions are the daily recommendations outside the menu (e.g. an excellent, fresh sea bream). In the end, the location is a dream and there is no better alternative on the south beach (at least we didn't find one).
