We've been going there once a month with our friends for years, it's our regular place 🥰. Yingxi is the best ❤️.

This time my sister and I went to the Oishii Restaurant in the Westarkkaden All-You-Can-Eat because the restaurant in Dreisam Stadtmitte is unfortunately closed. The Chinese service woman was very friendly and nice, she also pointed out to us when we first ordered that some of the things we had ordered cost extra (we then deleted that) and showed us how we could see that. The food always came quickly. We ordered 3 times and then we were so full that nothing left us in our stomachs. Everything tasted very good, beautifully prepared and there was plenty to eat, you have to remember that if you scroll down on the tablet you will see even more dishes, we only discovered that after some time. In the future I will always bring my own gluten-free and salt-reduced soy sauce, but I didn't tell the waitress that I preferred that, maybe they would have had that. All in all, a very successful lunch, we paid €41 for 30 portions + two drinks for two, which is €1.36 per portion, so an incredibly cheap price, because some portions are several sushi or Maultaschen! The restaurant wasn't too crowded either, so we were able to eat in peace. We can highly recommend making your way to the Westarkaden, we are not normally in this area, but the shopping street is also interesting. We would be happy to come back to Oishii, thank you for the good food and the opportunity to enjoy there in this pleasant atmosphere.

Hello this is an honest independent review Don't eat there!!!! Some of the plates are unwashed and are simply filled with new dishes. The tables are sticky they are not wiped down. Some rounds are simply not brought and it is claimed that they were brought. Take a look at the WKD website where the restaurant was inspected by the food authorities and closed due to significant defects

Were regular customers there. Unfortunately, they have completely collapsed. We don't like going there anymore. Dishes aren't cleared away for ages, sushi is very carelessly prepared, it was much better a few years ago. The Unkai is much better

I have always enjoyed eating here until now. We did the “all you can eat.” Anything deep fried was so grease-soaked, if you pressed your chopstick in it, it just flowed. Other foods like the sushi and nori were simply flavorless. Even the edamame tasted old and was overcooked. Salmon was tough as boots. Calamari was cooked inside an impenetrable ring of dense, overcooked dough. Food often came so late we had forgotten we ordered it. We won’t be back, anc for that I’m sorry - I always look forward to it.

I have been to Oishii several times, about once per year. This is the only time I have been so disappointed, I don't want to go back. The tempura was so greasy, you could squeeze the oil from it. The sushi was warm. The salmon teriyaki was tough. The mango ice cream had no taste of mango, only the color. I won't be going back.

We really liked the concept. The food itself was okay too. Personally, I liked the steak best. You are allowed to order 10 dishes per round, every now and then a few plates were forgotten, but that's not a bad thing as no one manages 10 rounds 🙂 There were two of us and we paid just under €80 (ordered 4 additional drinks)

Great idea to order with the iPad and in rounds to avoid wasting food. Food was good and fresh. Service so-so: Was alone in the restaurant as I was there on a business trip. The waitress asked me if someone else was coming, I said no. It was pretty full, but there were still a few tables available. The waitress struggled to give me a table for 4 people because I was alone. She was even cheeky enough to ask me to sit at the corner table right at the entrance, where there was hardly any lighting and where you could hear the constant comings and goings of the guests. At this point it was raining outside and very windy, so I would have been exposed to the draft. In addition, the space was far away from the actual dining room and also far away from the other guests. I felt really pushed away and said to the waitress that I wanted to go to the dining room where the other guests were. Visibly annoyed, she accompanied me to a table for four in the middle of the room. I was only able to order a drink after more than 20 minutes and I wasn't asked if everything was OK even during the meal. I didn't feel welcome and left after 2 rounds. The food is good, but you don't necessarily have to visit again.

Unfortunately not recommended at all, hardly any of the food we ordered arrived, other things instead. The staff seemed overwhelmed, even though it was hardly full. We had to wait an hour for our drinks :(

Great sushi restaurant. The order is placed via tablet, which is brought to the place. You can also call the waiter if you have any questions. The food was great and the all-you-can-eat principle was simply phenomenal. You can order 10 rounds, each with 21 pieces, for 18 euros per person plus drinks. You can't do that much :-) A lot of things are already included in the price, some you have to pay extra for. But great price.

The service was very quick and friendly. The drinks we ordered came very quickly. We had the evening buffet via tablet order. Unfortunately, my partner didn't like most of the food; the baked duck was good. The sushi itself was delicious, but unfortunately the sushi rice was lukewarm, which I personally don't like. My highlight was the nigiri with flambeed salmon. The selection of food is okay, but we were a little disappointed with the dessert selection, for example there weren't the usual sesame balls. We paid just under €72 for two meals and three large soft drinks, which I found to be quite expensive. We have often been to a provider in another city with the same system and we like the selection and taste better. Overall okay, but not outstanding.

Restaurant with a lot of noise. Staff drop a lot. Receipts and sushi sticks lie on the floor. Orders are delivered quickly, but empty plates or containers are hardly cleared away. Red wine is light in color and tastes as if it has been diluted with water.

The Oishii system is quite nice: the table has an iPad from which the food and drinks are ordered. That's good because you don't have to wait for a waiter, the orders tick off a printer in the kitchen and are served as soon as they're ready. You can quickly lose track of things, but it helps to look at your order history on the iPad. But: once you're not careful and you order wildly, you'll quickly rack up a hefty bill. The all-you-can-eat deal, in which you can apparently order without limits, without having to think about money, helps against this. Unfortunately, this is a trap! We explain: Various mechanisms are used to prevent fraud. 1.: Everything must be ordered in one ordering round, the visit is limited to 10 rounds. 2.: A maximum of 5 dishes can be ordered per person per ordering round. 3rd: You have to wait 10 minutes until the next round of orders. One thing in advance: Even the hungriest visitor has the opportunity to fill his stomach to the hilt, even if the maximum number of dishes per ordering round or the maximum number of ordering rounds are not used. Those who don't know this and are therefore not completely relaxed can fall into costly mistakes. The deal costs 14.90 euros at lunchtime and 29 euros per person in the evening (which can of course change at any time). At lunchtime the offer is limited, e.g. sashimi or other dishes with predominantly fish are not included in the deal. In the evening you could previously eat up and down the entire menu - but that has been changed. Even in the evenings, surcharges are occasionally charged for the really good things. It's there, but it's easy to miss. Conclusion: The items are consistently tasty and well made, which is of course a matter of taste. In the end we were over 50 euros per person, and that was without even ordering five pints of beer.

I briefly asked whether I made the reservation at 6:00 or 6:30 p.m. The person did not respond to my concerns and was extremely unfriendly. Went to another sushi place.

Food was very good. I was with a group of 15 people because after our ordering process we had our food prepared excellently.

I really like the food at this restaurant. Our family comes to eat 2 times a month. The staff are very friendly, the place is clean ( the furniture is not really nice), the sushi is good quality, the food is fresh and every menu is delicious. Ordering food is very easy through the tablet. The waiters are quite fast. If you don't wanna wait for your food, you have to order the next round before finished the last on your plate. The food will come just in time. I was very impressed with this restaurant.

Simple atmosphere. Friendly service, but no knowledge of German/English. The food was ok, but without any highlights. Beef skewer recommended. We were already full after the 3/10 round, so the €30 per nose is a bit much. We'll still go again one day.

We've really enjoyed going there for years. But unfortunately the quality of the food has declined. We even had a hair in our sushi. It's a shame because we love going there.

All you can eat is recommended! Very tasty, fast service, and a good selection of different food. Only the dessert and sweet things leave something to be desired because there is only ice cream. I would have liked more (traditional).

The negative comments lately almost made me not come, but we were pleasantly surprised. We didn't have to wait a minute for the tablet to order and the first round came very quickly. The staff were super nice, the only drawback was that it was a bit noisy in the restaurant and the Asian noodles were quite dry. Paid €65 for two people :)

With my family we had lunch there at least 20 times with the all-you-can-eat menu. It's a pleasure. Sometimes some dishes were a bit too salty, but mostly everything was delicious. The service is also fine, the dishes we ordered arrived quickly. Negative comments, probably from competitors, are completely incomprehensible to us. The price-performance ratio is simply unsurpassed, the raw materials are of high quality. I can recommend it to everybody.

If you like sushi you won't be disappointed here, I really enjoyed it here and would happily recommend this restaurant!

I almost didn't go to Oishii due to some bad Google reviews from the last few weeks. Ultimately, I trusted my companion's recommendation and was not disappointed. It was very tasty and considering what you get, it was also very good value for money. The great trick is not to overeat (which is unfortunately tempting with all-you-can-eat), but to stop in good time when you are pleasantly full. I can imagine that otherwise you would have digestive problems. Perhaps this also explains why some people didn't feel well after visiting Oishii. In any case, we had a great time afterwards. We will be back.

It was our favorite restaurant. Emphasis was on it. Unfortunately, a child of 11 is charged 30 euros as an adult, which is simply outrageous for what a child is. Corona is not good for every company when it comes to pricing.

We got there, it was so loud in the restaurant, we decided to sit outside. We were only presented with the “all you can eat” option so we figured that was the only option. We thought about the price performance and realized that something must be wrong. We ordered the first round and half didn't arrive. In order to see if anything arrived at all, we ordered a second round. In the meantime we got 2 wrong sushi orders and 1.5 hours have passed. Something came out of the second round. We asked for our sushi and the waitress didn't even know if the sushi was still coming. We ended up having to pay for the entire 10 round menu without even 2 full rounds arriving at our table. When we wanted to complain, we were told that next time we could simply order “a la carte”. We didn't even know there was a map. All of that was purely intentional, quite frankly a cheek, there was a stoner waiter who took a quick nap at some table. I don't feel itchy anymore because I'm sick now. Just don't go. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!

Top location! Delicious fresh food, sushi, meat and more. You order it via tablet and everything is delivered quickly. At lunch, including kids under €85! The owner family is also just super friendly, including the staff.

Food poisoning!, on March 27th, 2024, the four of us were lying flat there for the entire Easter, diarrhea and vomiting. Never again!

Went there for lunch at the beginning of March. Several people, all lay flat with food poisoning the next day and two had to be hospitalized!

We were there for dinner on Saturday March 9th in the evening, unfortunately 4/5 people at our table got food poisoning afterwards.

❗️Food poisoning ❗️ We ate at oishii on Thursday March 7th, 2024 and all 5 of 5 people had food poisoning with salmonella! My girlfriend is heavily pregnant and of course hasn't eaten any raw fish or anything similar and still has salmonella poisoning! Extremely dangerous and an absolute disgrace at this dirty shop!! Hygiene is a foreign word for the oishii Westarkaden!!! Mouse droppings were already found everywhere last winter, and this probably got worse rather than better!

Food poisoning I visited on Thursday March 7th. In 2024 we ate all you can eat with four friends at Oishii and all five of us suffered from food poisoning with salmonella and serious consequences! This dirty shop doesn't even deserve one star. Absolute disgrace!! The shop has to be closed with this non-existent hygiene!!!

Food was okay but had food poisoning a day later. I would therefore advise against the store. The employees were nice and even gave us 0.4 liters of tap water when we asked.

I went to this restaurant with my friends on Saturday. Unfortunately, you could see from afar how the food was being carried out of the kitchen in masses every 5 minutes. How should you comply with hygiene regulations here? I'm not surprised that more than 15 people (see Google rating) also suffered from food poisoning that day, along with us

Although we have been there several times and the food was mostly okay, after the last visit all 6 of us suffered from food poisoning. The fact that the store had been closed a few times before due to hygiene problems should have been a warning to us. Now it has caught us. I think that explains the rating sufficiently.

The quality of the food is very variable. Here we ate very tasty sushi and something delicious from the grill; Unfortunately, on other days it is also very fatty. Due to the large selection of all-inclusive dishes, we ordered something different. Since I come occasionally, I get into the habit of not eating anything that is inedible. For example, the chicken strips tend to stay in the deep fryer for a little too long. It would be possible to improve if orders from a round were also served together. The Oishii gave me a good experience every time. Eating enough is not rocket science, the food was always good. Not everything always arrives when you would expect and I'm not sure if everything actually arrives, but waiting is rare.

It used to be better. Not good today. Courts were forgotten. A service worker walked around in sweatpants. Some dishes were cold, some of them could have been warm (pasta). And vegetarian sushi has been under siege by the fishy ones...and the price has gone up. No longer a good price/performance ratio 😪

Terrible… the food was very expensive and didn't taste good at all. For 32.90 euros you can expect a little more. The service was very unfriendly, the food was thrown on the table. The drinks were disgusting too. Please don't order long drinks, rather something from the bottle. The “restaurant” is so disgustingly dingy. I will certainly never eat there again or recommend it to anyone. The WKD should really come through.

The taste of the food was VERY poor, we tasted a lot, but NOTHING was convincing. It's filling, but that's it. don't come anymore. Very unfortunate. The ambience is still unpleasant 😉 plus a wobbling table, service as always: fast and friendly. Extremely crowded and loud on Friday evening

Half of the food ordered wasn't there, it was just cheeky

This was by far the worst sushi I have ever eaten! I had taken menu number 8 with me, so I couldn't let it go back. The maki were tasteless and didn't hold together. To top it all off, the salmon tempura, an indefinable shell, was totally greasy and filled with canned tuna. Never ever!

Typisches Oishii - Essen gut, Ambiente etwas laut. Bestellung über Tablet funktioniert problemlos. Bei Runde 5 von 10 mussten wir aber kapitulieren 😅 Nach Weihnachten war mittags viel los und durch etwas wenig Personal merkte man doch wie alles etwas länger ging, was bei All you can eat aber nicht das Problem ist. Es wurde sich dafür auch später entschuldigt. Alles in allem werden wir sicher mal wieder kommen. Grüße aus dem Schwarzwald

Das Mittagbuffet ist auch sehr zu empfehlen. Es gibt zwar eine kleinere Auswahl zum Abendbuffet aber für die lohnt es sich auch. Das Essen war lecker und die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich. Wer Sushi gern hat ist hier gut aufgehoben.

Ein guter All You Can Eat Laden. Das Sushi ist sehr lecker, die anderen Gerichte teils sehr fettig. Alles in Allem für 28 EUR pro Person exkl. Getränke empfehlenswert.

All U can eat Sushi. Bestellung über Tablet ist sehr einfach und unkompliziert. Man hat die Auswahl zwischen diversen Sushi Spezialitäten als auch anderen Speisen wie Rindfleisch-Spieß oder Lammkoteletts. Die Qualität ist sehr gut. Ich war bisher immer sehr zufrieden und wurde freundlich bedient. Immer wieder gerne!

Die elektronische Bestellung mit dem Ipad hat ohne Probleme funktioniert. Das Essen schmeckt frisch und wurde zügig serviert. Mitarbeiter durchweg freundlich. Angenehmes Ambiente auch bei größerer Zahl an Gästen

Hochqualitatives und leckeres Sushi, Fleisch und Gemüse, welche man in unbegrenzter Anzahl bestellen kann. Keiner der vielen Besuche des Restaurants wurde jemals bereut und man freut sich auf das nächste Mal. Innovative Bestellmöglichkeit über Tablets, schnelle Zubereitung, stets freundliche Kellner und eine unbegrenzte Auswahl an allen Sushi und Fleisch, die das Herz begehrt

Wir haben das Sushi genossen, und die Auswahl ist ausreichend. Leider war es im Restaurant sehr laut und kalt. Eine Verbesserung im Service und etwas mehr Höflichkeit würden den Aufenthalt angenehmer gestalten.

Die neue Konkurrenz im Sushi-Sektor scheint kein Problem für's Oishii zu sein, denn vor allem am Wochenende ist es zum Teil brechend voll. Das Essen und vor allem die schiere Auswahl an Gerichten im All you can eat ist jedes Mal ein (fast) unvergleichliches Geschmackserlebnis. Dass da manchmal logistische Schwierigkeiten (zB. längere Wartezeiten für bestimmte Gerichte wie Fleisch) entstehen, ist zu erwarten. Qualitativ würde ich aufgrund der festgestellten Schwankungen sagen "da geht noch mehr". Manchmal ist der Lachs super lecker und frisch, manchmal vielleicht nicht so ganz. Mal ist das Sushi stabil und lecker, mal fällt es ein wenig zu leicht auseinander. Das Ambiente ist schlicht und "platzsparend". Man fühlt sich, gerade wenn es voll ist, etwas zusammengepfercht. Dementsprechend laut ist es dann auch. Also keine entspannte moon light Atmosphäre für einen sinnlichen Pärchenabend bei Kerzenschein, eher Kantinenstimmung mit Kellner. Aber das hat uns wohl bisher nicht genug gestört im Vergleich zu den positiven Punkten, sonst würden wir ja nicht ständig weinen und uns sagen, dass wir über unsere Verhältnisse leben, so oft wie wir Sushi essen gehen. Alles in allem würde ich sagen ein guter Ort zum Essen in Freiburg, wenn auch mit Luft nach oben.

Das Essen ist grundsätzlich lecker. Es gibt natürlich auch Gerichte, die nicht so gut schmecken oder etwas klein von der Portion kommen aber Alles in Allem echt in Ordnung.

It's all you can eat sushi (and more) for less than 20 EUR. Sure, there is fancier, tastier, more varied sushi in the city, but in Oishii you also have lots of other options for the kids (mine wouldn't touch sushi with a 6-foot pole). Chicken, duck, turkey, shrimp, and so on. Plenty of choice for the whole family. And, compared to the other Oishii in Freiburg, this one is almost never crowded, meaning your food comes faster, and you also have a parking lot nearby (free of charge until up to two hours). This place is one of my favorite eateries in town.

Das Essen war bisher immer super. Der Service lässt hin und wieder etwas nach, und das Ambiente ist okay, lädt aber nicht zum längeren Verweilen ein. Trotzdem kommen wir gerne wieder und geben dem Service auch eine neue Chance

Wir waren Freitagabend mit 5 Personen vor Ort, es war eigentlich ein schöner Aufenthalt, das Essen war einwandfrei, das einzige was das Gesamtbild getrübt hat war das irgendwann keine Teller mehr abgeräumt wurden und das war dann doch sehr unangenehm zum Ende.

Mittags all you can eat für 17,90€, große Auswahl an Sushi, Gemüse und Fleisch/ Fisch. Besonders gut fanden wir das Mango Eis. Das Personal war soweit freundlich und das Essen kam meist zügig. Leider war es im Restaurant gegen Ende unseres Essens sehr kühl, da alle Türen durchgehend geöffnet waren

Leider immer sehr sehr voll , mussten 30 min warten bis wir überhaupt bestellen konnten. Wenn man die Berichte vom gesundheitsamt liest naja muss jeder selber übergeben ob er herkommen will essen schmeckt aber naja mit dem Hintergedanken was die alles so gefunden haben und finden

Das Essen ist sehr lecker, es schmeckt alles frisch und ist sehr gut zubereitet. Vom Sushi bis hin zu den warmen gebratenen Sachen. Die Kellner sind sehr nett und die Chefin gibt sich viel Mühe. Am Ende gibt es immer noch selbstgemachtes Sesam und Kokos Eis. Die Auswahl ist super und das All you Van eat Buffet ist absolut zu empfehlen.

Tolles Restaurant, nettes Personal und das Essen schmeckt auch super. Es gibt eine sehr große Auswahl beim All you can eat Buffett. Das Essen kommt sehr schnell und ist auf jeden Fall preiswert, sehr zu empfehlen

Wir hatten auch nach 20 Besuchen noch keine schlechte Erfahrung und freuen uns immer auf den Besuch.

Bei weitem nicht mehr so gut wie es mal war. Die Speisen wurden nicht wirklich angerichtet. Sah aus wie mit ner Schaufel auf den Teller geworfen. Gefühlt wurde die Qualität schlechter dafür hat man die Preise angezogen. Hoffe ändert sich irgendwann wieder.
