Hot'n'Dog in Freiburg im Breisgau

It was our first time there and it was very full, but we were lucky and quickly got a seat outside. The girls provided great service and were super friendly. We had standard drinks but we were recommended to try the Flower Tower, we'll do that next time. We had twister fries, nachos with guacamole and a chicken burger with truffle mayo. The food was ok but not a highlight that we've never had before. In terms of time, it took a while. Prices are ok. But we will definitely come again.

Maria Burger was always my go-to when I wanted to eat at restaurants. But since they changed the whole menu and the style of food, it's no longer fun to eat. I've been going there for 2 years and over the years the fries have gotten smaller and the price has gotten higher and higher. At that time I was willing to pay the price, but not for today's portion plus all the menu changes. It's a shame it used to be my favorite restaurant.

We came to eat burgers. Were served very quickly and friendly. However, the portions are not that big but they are quite expensive. I wasn't really full after the fries and a burger (18€). Otherwise, a very nice location and friendly staff.

Heard a lot of good things about being there for lunch yesterday. The Burger Farmer was a dream, my wife had the chicken burger which was also very good and the fries were also very good. Food was prepared with a lot of love and it was understandable to us why it was recommended so often. Chairs were too heavy for my pregnant wife, but I'm a gentleman. So it was worth it and we will come back.

I was there this evening with 3 friends and had cocktails. The whiskey sour was very tasty and the service, as always, was very nice and accommodating 🤗 We were just wondering why the chairs are so heavy 🤣

Super nice atmosphere! It was happy hour and Raphael the waiter was really friendly and gave us good advice on the shots :) Beer was delicious too. Overall, highly recommended to spend a few nice hours with friends in the evening!

The quality of the food has deteriorated significantly. The price-performance ratio is not right. As it is now, it is not recommended. The “homemade iced tea” tastes like store-bought. Way too many ice cubes in the drinks. The burger tastes like in MC. We will avoid Maria Bar until nothing changes. 18€ for a burger that is not worth the money. The presentation of the food is not appealing and it is definitely not photogenic.

Unfortunately, it is no longer the quality that we have been used to for years. No more homemade dips on the plate with the burger, small portions (especially with burgers) that in no way justify the price. Some of the drinks were slightly carbonated. Service was good though.

Came to eat burgers every now and then because... who were simply great. But this time they were disgusting. The patties oozed old fat and had a disgusting, musty taste. Too bad. The service was top as always. Super nice. But your smashed burgers were a culinary disaster - unfortunately.

My friend and I have been visiting the Maria Bar when visiting Freiburg for many years. We haven't been there for a few months now and were disappointed to notice a few changes. The first disappointment was that the menu displayed in front of the restaurant contained burgers that were no longer available to order (including my friend's favorite burger, the “Little Boy Burger”). The burgers were also no longer served as usual on a wooden board (now a slightly too small metal tray) with the special French fries sauce known from there, but unfortunately without it. For us there was no Maria Bar without this sauce, which is why it was unfortunately a disappointment. In general the service was very nice and helpful. Apart from these two disappointing factors, the stay was fine so far and there were no further disappointments.

My visit to the Maria Bar in Freiburg was a completely successful experience. The dishes, such as the crispy curly fries and the juicy burger shown in the picture, were excellently prepared and tasted excellent. The drinks, including a refreshing lime drink, also added to the positive experience. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly and attentive service, which made the stay in the Maria Bar particularly pleasant. A visit here is definitely recommended for anyone who wants to eat and drink well in a cozy atmosphere.

Maria Bar is always a great place to go for delicious burgers in Freiburg. This time we had an extremely friendly waiter, Niklas, with whom we had a lot of laughs. Needs repetition!

Yesterday I was there with my friend and had a really great evening. The food and cocktails were absolutely delicious! The service was also excellent. The young man with the beard in particular created a great atmosphere with his humor and friendliness. The waitress with the Australian accent was also very welcoming. Overall, a wonderful experience! The chairs are a bit difficult to move, but that definitely won't stop me from coming back. I'm already looking forward to the next time!

Unfortunately we only had something to drink in the Maria Bar. The service there is very nice and attentive and we will happily come back.

Just bad....! The pulled pork burger was like pureed meat with a burnt meat taste. Just bad. Not to mention that there were no onions and the whole thing just looked unappetizing. The special was good. This restaurant is definitely not recommended!

Aaliyah was positivity itself in a packed venue! We felt really comfortable with her! You rarely have that in the catering industry. The very tasty burger almost faded into the background :) Would love to come back

Went to eat and warm up before a concert. Burgers were good but could have used a little more temperature. Service quick and friendly. Music is a matter of taste. Badisch Hell from Ganter is running great. Gladly again.

I called to make a reservation - was turned away on the phone as reservations are accepted *only* via WhatsApp. I don't think that's a good service: I don't want to be forced to use a Meta Group app to reserve a table - especially since the employee was already on the phone and just had to make a note.

Was here for the first time today. It's a nice little bar or restaurant. The burgers here are great. There is a large selection. You can add additional ingredients to the burgers for an additional charge. In addition to burgers, there are e.g. still wraps, which also look very tasty. Portions are large, prices are not cheap, but normal.

I got food poisoning from the burger. According to the comments, this has probably happened before. I called the restaurant and reported it. I really hope that hygiene standards will be raised. I really don't know how the employees can sleep at night with a clear conscience.

Rarely have I had such a good burger 🍔. Overall a huge selection of dishes. Homemade fries 🍟 and fair prices. Highly recommended. One small thing to complain about, if you can put it like that, would be that you could set up small table trash cans on the tables outside. Otherwise, you'll quickly run after your paper, sugar or napkin. But that's not meant to be a criticism, just a suggestion.

Today we spontaneously went to the Maria Bar and took a seat outside. The very attentive Alica came directly to us with her friendly smile and her human nature. She brightened up our evening very lovingly, laughing and with a lot of humor throughout the evening. We'll be back.

The meat was without seasoning, The cheeseburger was just meat, cheese and a hint of pickles, no tomato, no lettuce. The fries was good. The cola was flat.

Vegan burger petti was good. Unfortunately, it still didn't taste good overall. The burgers had NO basics like onion, cucumber or tomato on them. Minimally chopped iceberg lettuce. Overall, not enough fresh and a lot of fatty sauce that we scraped down. But service was very nice

The food was really good. I had a smashed burger with crispy bacon and jalapeños. Top roasted aromas. Just the way it should be. The shop is nice but a bit dark. We sat inside. It's certainly a little nicer outside. Unfortunately, our waitress was either new to the job or otherwise a bit clumsy. Everything had to be repeated, my food almost ended up on my lap and when asked how a certain sauce tasted the only answer was that I didn't know it myself. Unfortunately, the offer to ask how the sauce tastes, which is actually a given with good service, didn't come. Everything is tolerable, but it's not a service that can be highlighted positively.

The food is good and tasty, but the drinks are too one-sided in my opinion... there is no decent juice, the iced tea as a substitute is only the second choice... a "saloon piano" (or similar) would be available definitely arrived safely.. *smile* ... but otherwise absolutely fine!

We ordered two burgers with sweet potato fries. The burgers were incredibly tasty. The buns were nice and fluffy and the sauce was unique. I've eaten a lot of different burgers, but these beat almost everything. I can highly recommend this restaurant!!!

The Maria Bar is absolutely recommended! The cocktails are super tasty, creative and perfectly mixed. The food is also convincing across the board – fresh ingredients and great taste. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service make a visit here a real highlight. We'll definitely be back!

Cheeseburgers and chicken burgers are both delicious. When you order a burger, french fries come as standard. French fries can be changed to sweet potato fries. The staff are very friendly and can communicate in English.

The burger and fries were okay and really tasted good. But charging €16 for that is really steep. And see that you can get other beers on the menu. Because the Freiburg beer is really disgusting.

Had dinner there with a few friends and it was really good! Nice dining room, nice service and the burgers were EXCELLENT! In my opinion, the food wasn't too expensive and the daily menu was particularly worth it. I can only recommend it and will definitely be there more often myself.
