Nice, quaint hotel. Rooms were cleaner on our last visit in early 23. The ambience is great, the beds weren't really suitable for my own taste. What was an absolute no-go, however, was that it was assumed that our gift voucher was not real. At checkout we were told that our voucher could not be genuine. They made us stand stupidly at the reception for about 10 minutes to check and then told us without apology or anything like that that everything was ok. Too bad. I'm not familiar with hotel service like that. Edit: Complaining about the voucher they gave you? You exhibited it yourself and probably sold it to a good friend of ours for 250 EUR!? The apology is about the employee's outrageous announcement - I already told you that on site.

The Haus zum Ritter is the oldest surviving residential building in Heidelberg's old town. The Haus zum Ritter was built in 1592 by the cloth merchant Carolus (Charles) Belier (1553–1622)[1][2], who had fled Habsburg Valenciennes because of his Protestant faith and settled in the Electoral Palatinate. The Renaissance building, which is now a listed building, is located in the middle of Heidelberg's old town, directly opposite the Church of the Holy Spirit. It is the only town house that survived the great city fire of 1693 during the War of the Palatinate Succession. It only acquired its current function as a hotel in the recent past, although it served as an inn 300 years ago.

I arrived at 10am and they kept my luggage. The owner is a very interesting person, pleasant and kind. I was able to check in at 12 o'clock earlier than the check-in time, so I was able to heal my tired body and go to the Christmas market at night. The room was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. At this hotel, I did not experience any allergic symptoms such as dust! The TV didn't work, but it wasn't a problem because of the beautiful interior and cute room. The structure was old, and the locks didn't open and close smoothly, and the hallways were a maze, but it felt like living in a castle and it was so much fun 😍The elevator was also very quaint and awesome. I ordered dinner at a restaurant without a reservation, but the beautiful Madame and the cool gentleman took care of me in a timely manner and it was a wonderful experience. Schnitzel was so big that I had to leave it behind, but they kindly gave me a box so I could take it home. Apfelkuchen was also very delicious🥰 Breakfast was also delicious. The bread, cheese and especially the coffee are the best! The yogurt was also delicious. I fell in love with Heidelberg. I am going to stay this hotel again. And I want to see you again every staff. Everything perfect. Central location and friendly staff. If you are looking for an owner-managed hotel in a rustic style, this is the perfect place for you. We'll definitely come back.

Stayed here as part of the Heidelberg City of Literature 10th year Anniversary. Central and comfortable, Nice breakfast buffet with a traditional restaurant on site . You really do feel hosted with this as all the staff are fantastic.

Hotel zum Ritter Heidelberg has a stunning exterior. It's a historic hotel and restaurant in the old part of Heidelberg. The building itself is a beautiful example of Renaissance architecture.

I visited my son on my birthday. I enjoyed the day in a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The meals were delicious and the building itself is a historical gem. I really look forward to visiting the hotel and restaurant again.

Great place to have a family dinner, and nights out. Food taste delicious, my family visited me for few days and we needed a place to feel the exotic Heidelberg feeling. The building itself is a historical gem, with beautiful Renaissance architecture that adds so much charm to the ambiance. I’m glad we made the right choice. The meal was delicious, the waiters were so polite and professional. I can’t wait to be there again.

We were there for dinner on Sunday and chose the saddle of venison for 2 people. with Schupfnudeln, croquettes (which unfortunately weren't particularly good quality), red cabbage, Brussels sprouts and sauce. The meal was served on a platter, the saddle of venison was cooked on the bone and was loosened at the table and served to us in tranches with the hot sauce on lukewarm plates. When I asked whether it was local game, the cook couldn't give me any information because he didn't seem to understand my language. The waiter standing next to me quickly said “yes”. They left our table and were missing cutlery, which I kindly ordered and soup spoons were brought to us.!!! This is not serving cutlery. The plate was not placed on a rechaud and so the side dishes quickly got cold. By chance I saw a Rechaud machine in the next room that wasn't switched on. Venison and sauce were excellent, service was friendly, but cold side dishes are not acceptable and a warming plate is essential for a plate for two people. When paying €90 just for the meal for two people, I pointed this out to the waitress. It was received with a smile. In my opinion, the staff was not sufficiently trained. Conclusion: wait and try again to see if anything has changed.

When dining in this 500-year-old hotel, the whole atmosphere is completely different. It was my first time to visit Heidelberg University's historical sites. The magnificent buildings, even with broken rocks and ruins, can still be integrated into the situation at all, and I am deeply impressed. I just happened to arrange to stay at a hotel near a historical monument. The atmosphere is really perfect. As soon as I walked in, I was attracted by the decorative murals on the walls. The solid wood beams and sidings were maintained with a solemn and classic feel. The environment alone is worth recommending. 1. Smoked salmon with lettuce is the first time I feel the praise and deliciousness of smoked salmon, and the saltiness is perfect. 2. The main meal is the cheese fried chicken steak, which is the biggest highlight. The skin is crispy and the cheese is fragrant. The chicken is made from chicken breast, which is tender and not sticky. The noodles are served with butter and the strong flavor of the chicken steak is great. . 3. This dessert, the apple cake pie, is so good that it lacks a cup of coffee. Not enough time, unfortunately I couldn't taste it carefully.

Romantic hotel in the center of the historic city

The restaurant is really large and makes a beautiful, elegant impression. We arrived around 8:30pm with three women (without a reservation). There weren't 10 tables occupied in the entire restaurant. We entered the restaurant and the waiter walked past us without even looking at us. After we spoke to the waiter and asked politely whether there was still a table for three people, he told us, after a quick glance around the restaurant, that everything was full. After recommending this restaurant, we would have liked to have spent a nice evening here. Unfortunately we were begrudged this (apparently due to the subjective discomfort of the cellar).

I ordered the summer salad for €20, it was so ridiculously flattened and there wasn't much on it, the portion leaves a lot to be desired. And I think the salad was made 3 hours ago, it was so ridiculous again

As former residents of the old town, we come back about once a year and book ourselves into one of the old town hotels for one or two nights. This time it should be the historically inspired Hotel zum Ritter. We had a deluxe double room at the front. The room was spacious and had a great view of the Holy Spirit Church (two nights around €450 without breakfast. Parking costs in the public car park were €26 additional. Normal price would have been €39. You could even sit at two windows in the evening and look outside because the floor was slightly raised. The double windows were really almost soundproof. There was even a small refrigerator that you could fill with drinks you brought with you. Only the shower in the bathroom was a bit of a disaster. On the one hand, it was a bathtub in which a shower had been installed, and on the other hand, almost no water came out of the shower. In a mild summer rain we would have been finished quicker. This is actually not for older people or people with restricted mobility. The breakfast for €16.50 per person was also catastrophic. (On the second day we had breakfast externally.) The rolls were bought from some convenience supplier (Resch & Frisch) to bake ourselves. Breakfast buffet was standard, without salmon. The quality of sausage and cheese was also below average. To be on the safe side (to save costs), it was better not to lay it down. The coffee that was delivered as standard had already been in the thermos flask for about 2 hours and was not drinkable. The coffee machine for single brews was broken. The orange juice was of the cheapest quality and the color gave rise to the suspicion that it was a bit old. In any case, it didn't taste good. We actually wanted to have dinner there, but decided not to because the breakfast was below average. Because of the high price and the Poor breakfast only three stars.

Last week we went to the Hotel zum Ritter for a short vacation with two married couples. You can't find it better. The hotel has taken us back over the past few years in a perfect location with well-equipped rooms with a view of the church in the background, the Neckar. We felt very comfortable with a very good breakfast and good food. Mr. Müller, the boss of the house, took good care of us. I can recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Great location. The staff was friendly and always helpful, regardless of whether they were responsible or not. They took care of it. Breakfast buffet had everything there, egg requests were recorded separately. The food itself was great, fresh and prepared with a lot of love. The rooms are clean and modernly furnished. For such an old hotel, simply beautiful.

I hadn’t stayed at this hotel since 2018, but I returned for a night while visiting friends in Heidelberg. The place has improved significantly since my last visit. The atmosphere, rooms, elevator, and even the entrance are now much more inviting. The location is perfect, right in the middle of everything you want to see in Heidelberg. The hotel’s restaurant is also impressive, and there are plenty of other dining options nearby. This historic hotel, with its rich history of over 300 years, adds a charming touch to the experience.

We were guests at the “Hotel zum Ritter” for two nights as part of a company event. The location of the hotel is unbeatable; right in the heart of the old town. The rooms are a bit old but that doesn't bother us and was more than made up for by the incredible view of Heidelberg, the impeccable cleanliness and, above all, the courteous and committed team. Contrary to what some reviewers said, the Wi-Fi reception was always problem-free, even in one of the top rooms.

Unbeatable service, top location and great breakfast! We booked a motorcycle tour at very short notice. The boss helped us personally on the phone and later greeted us personally. Rooms are great, everything is visually very appealing and despite our early arrival, the rooms were made available straight away! Any time! This is how you want service!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel zum Ritter St. Georg. The hotel is truly beautiful and ideally located in the heart of the old town. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The owners gave us an extremely warm welcome and made sure we had a great stay. We also really enjoyed the food in the hotel restaurant. I would particularly like to highlight the wonderful way in which our two-year-old son was received. Everyone was extremely nice to him and he even got a gift. We felt very comfortable in this hotel and will definitely come back. I can only recommend it.

So the ambience and the restaurant are really top. However, the hotel itself is clearly showing its age and needs a thorough renovation. But the rooms were clean and tidy. The staff was also very nice. I paid €80 for one night, which I thought was fair. However, I have seen that the prices are usually significantly more expensive.

We walked through the old town to find a nice place to have breakfast. The hotel immediately appealed to us from the outside and the knight's buffet also sounded great. What awaited us inside had little to do with a knight's breakfast. We specifically asked how long we could have breakfast. We were told it would take another hour. The selection at the buffet was rather poor, but the price wasn't appropriate either. You actually got a selection of egg dishes that were freshly prepared, which was the only positive point for me. After less than 20 minutes we were asked if we wanted anything else from the buffet because they would like to take it down now.

My stay was absolutely fantastic! The room was comfortable and attractive, the breakfast was delicious, the restaurant had excellent meals, and the service was outstanding. An unreserved recommendation for this hotel!"

Along with the castle, the Hotel Ritter is one of the oldest buildings in the city. It offers a beautiful ambience and is located in the heart of Heidelberg.

There was no real TV reception in our room. After we let us know, we were told everything was okay. But nothing had changed. At breakfast everything was somehow as it shouldn't be. There was no bread left and you had to ask three times for coffee. Then there was no butter again and several guests ran away Looking for things, etc. Given the prices, everything should work a little better. When we left, the boss quickly left and pushed his employee forward. It's actually a shame because we've been there several times and were used to it differently.

Great experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped check us in early and were super friendly to my kids. The hotel is stunning inside and out. Our room was clean and comfortable. Fantastic location. The hotel is located in the center of Heidelberg Altstadt. Everyone in my family enjoyed our stay. We will be back.

Un'ottimo posto dove prendere una bevanda rinfrescante. La fila è lunga, specialmente in questi afosi giorni estivi, ma viene gestita velocemente dal personale. C'è un'ampia scelta di bibite fresche e calde a cui si possono aggiungere altre opzioni (palline di tapioca, marshmallow, ...). Io ho preso un chai latte alla vaniglia, molto buono e rigenerante. Ci sono anche delle bibite studiate appositamente per l'estate come il matchu picchu. Prezzi bassi se confrontati con locali simili

Wir kaufen uns dort oft sachen. Klar sind solche Sachen nicht immer günstig aber dafür so lecker. Das halloween special hatte süße Gummi Augen drinnen ^^
