Grill 16 in Heidelberg

I ate dinner and breakfast. Dinner was a greasy 22 euro hamburger. Service was excellent but would not recommend menu. Breakfast food was good but there was a large breed dog barking at kids at a table and for the life of me, don’t understand why they would permit dogs in the dining area. It was not a service dog.

It was a fantastic evening!! Great food and great wine! Service was very commendable 👌 The whole team was very attentive and always on hand. My husband celebrated his birthday at GRILL16 and the little and big touches on the sidelines made our evening sweeter.

Excellent meal at Grill 16! Both the duck breast and salmon trout were perfectly prepared, with great flavors and accompaniments. Staff (especially Carlos!!) was outstanding, with wonderful recommendations and fine service. Highly recommend!

Fantastic staff and wonderful food. We have dined here many times and enjoy their breakfast spread as well. We cannot wait to return!

Food was good, service was better. Very friendly and enjoyable people to talk to. Mr. Moritz Vom Bomhard, Mr. Hernando Ramirez, and Ms. Garlandt (not sure if the spelling is right) were all very pleasant to talk to, offering great personal insights into the city of Heidelberg. A1 Service from them, would definitely recommend and go again.

We went there for dinner as a family. With a view of the Neckar, we enjoyed the food. All dishes were very tasty The service was attentive, polite and discreet 👍 I was there recently for breakfast. The buffalo offering was plentiful and freshly prepared. It was like a little vacation day for me ☀️ Thanks to the staff. We'll definitely come back

I had great meal here with my wife, who is very particular, and we were impressed. Specifically with the service… Beatrisa was our waitress and she went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. Her flexibility and politeness was amazing; she provided detailed advice on the menu and positively spoke on the chef’s skills. On top of that, the manager, Bastian, ensure my wife and I had a lovely meal (extremely respectful). I truly recommend this place!!

Excellent restaurant located in the Marriott Heidelberg. The service was exemplary, as was the food -- we enjoyed the ribeye and red wine outdoors overlooking the Neckar River. A beautiful spot! It was my birthday... the servers offered us plated desserts with firework candles!! Perfection!

For 35€ I at least don't expect a ready-made potato salad and a steak that arrives at the appropriate level of doneness as ordered. The chef probably didn't have a good day because everyone who ordered a steak got well done instead of medium

Nachdem wir aus Parkgründen unsere gebuchte Reservierung in einem anderen Restaurant nicht wahrnehmen konnten … und aus der Not heraus hier Einzug hielten … wurden wir sehr gastfreundlich in empfang genommen auch ohne Reservierung …Super nette Bedienungen … Die Karte wurde erklärt und auch die Empfehlungen der Küche für den heutigen Tag wurden kommuniziert… auch bezüglich Unverträglichkeiten (Gluten) gab es kein Problem 😌 …. Mein Mann hatte sich ein Rip Eye Steak und ich ein Rinderfilet bestellt beide medium wohlgemerkt und wir bekamen auf den Punkt gegartes Fleisch … einfach perfekt … und sehr wohlschmeckend und zartes Fleisch … die Beilagen (Pommes) waren außen knusprig und innen noch weich … und für unsere Gaumen genau richtig gesalzen nicht zuviel und nicht zu wenig … kommen wir zur Einrichtung : Ja sie ist altbackend na und dafür war das Essen hervorragen und das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis passt 55,00Euro pro Person mit Getränk, Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Nachspeise … Also der Notfall entpuppte sich für uns als Glücksfall ☺️

Alles Top nur die Ambiente hat ein bisschen alt gewirkt, ansonsten von Service bis zum Essen hat mir alles gut gefallen.

Leider hatten wir hier eine Erfahrung mit gemischten Gefühlen. Die Bedienung war super und das Essen und die Bewirtung sehr gut. Das Ambiente wirkt etwas albacken und könnte defintiv verbessert werden. Leider hatten meine Frau und ich anschliessend Magenprobleme, was möglicherweise auf Probleme mit der Hygiene hindeuten könnte.

Restaurant is located inside the Heidelberg Marriot Hotel. For the first night I had the Pork Ribs, portion was huge for me and for the second night I had the 7 course meal with unlimited flow drinks/alcohol. I really enjoyed the Roasted Beef, Fried Tiger Prawns and Chocolate Mousse. Opt for the Heidelberger 1603 Premium Pilsener beer for drinks. Overall a fully satisfying meal.

Everyone’s meat was overcooked and tough. The waiter was very nice though.

For our Christmas Dinner, we ate early at 17:00 and were the only couple in the restaurant. The service was great, the food was very good. We had a Caesar salad and a couple of filet steaks.

Es it soweit alles ok. Das Essen ist gut, der Service ist nett, das Ambiente ok. Man hat nichts grob falsch gemacht, wenn man hierhergeht. Aber dafür ist es zu teuer. Die Spezialisierung auf Fleisch und Steaks ist eigentlich auch gelungen, zumal es davon in Heidelberg nicht soviel gibt. Aber dann gehe ich lieber ins Heid's, wo es zwar auch teuer ist, aber eben wirklich exquisit. Fairerweise muss man aber sagen, dass ich mir vorstellen könnte, dass das Ganze aufgewertet wird, wenn man draußen sitzt, da die Terrasse so aussieht, als sei im Sommer wirklich eine schöne Aussicht zu genießen ist.

Everything is ok so far. The food is good, the service is nice, the atmosphere is ok. You haven't done anything grossly wrong by going here. But it's too expensive for that. The specialization in meat and steaks is actually a success, especially since there aren't that many of them in Heidelberg. But then I'd rather go to Heid's, where it's expensive but really exquisite. To be fair, I could imagine the whole thing would be enhanced by sitting outside, as the terrace looks like it's a really nice view to enjoy in the summer.

Sehr großes Angebot von verschiedenen Produkten, Preis und Leistung stimmt. Gehobenes Segment.

Zwei der aufgeführten Gerichte, die wir bestellen wollten warum beide nicht verfügbar. Bei den bestellten Burgern wurde nicht gefragt wie durchgebraten diese sein sollen. Für den Geschmack von drei von uns zu durch. Der Preis für die Burger für das Ergebnis etwas hoch. Das Steak war ganz in Ordnung insgesamt. Die Pommes waren etwas versalzen. Ansonsten von den Wartezeiten echt in Ordnung und der Service war auch freundlich.

Die Spare-Ribs, Creme Bruleé und die Getränke waren sehr gut, wurden aber leider mit extrem griesgrämigem Gesicht seitens der Servicekraft Dailovsky präsentiert. Sehr schade, ich werde zukünftig nicht mehr dort speisen.

Grill 16 is het huisrestaurant van Marriott hotel in Heidelberg. Het is een grill restaurant met de nadruk op vleesgerechten met een mooi interieur en met zomers mogelijkheid om buiten te dineren. Het eten zelf was zeer lekker en uitstekend gegrild. Wij hadden het geluk op een zomeravond met zicht op de Neckar te mogen dineren in de tuin, dat maakte ons diner helemaal af.

This restaurant was in our hotel and we were in a hurry one evening plus very hungry. We had teens in our travel party, so hamburgers and fries were a popular choice. As it turns out, these were excellent though a bit pricey. Great service and a nice atmosphere. There is outdoor dining as well.

Please take me rating for food with a pinch of salt. I have dietary restrictions (vegetarian), hence limited choices for me. Otherwise, service was good. People were friendly and prompt. There was a lot of food but obviously most with meat. I think it was a bit too expensive for me, but might be normal European price. 24 European for an all you can eat breakfast

The place, the service, the prices...just incredible! I DK why it is not with the 5 stars, however it is really the must! The place is amazing, very delicious, very fast like service and very polite ppl., They even have a child menu, great burgers, meat and even soups Highly recommend.

Heiligabend Essen im Grill 16 Für Heiligabend haben wir uns einen Tisch im Grill 16 reserviert. Das Restaurant war gemütlich, sehr festlich und mit viel Liebe zum Detail geschmückt. Am Empfang wurden wir sehr freundlich und herzlich begrüßt und wurden zu unserem wunderschönen gedeckten Tisch geführt. Es wurde ein Buffet vom feinsten Angeboten 56€ pro Person wurde dafür veranschlagt, nicht ganz günstig aber… Von den Vorspeisen; Steinpilz Suppe, bis zu verschiedenen Salaten z.B. Feldsalat mit Feigendressing, Roastbeef…zu verschiedenen Brotvarianten; Baguette mit Cranberries, Aprikosen Chips usw. bis zum… Hauptgang; Gänsekeule, Kalbsbraten mit Knusperpanade, zarter Fisch auf Rahmgemüse, Honigschinken mit allerlei Beilagen; Rosmarin Kartoffeln, Ziegenkäse Ravioli, Knödel und Spätzle dazu gab es verschiedene Gemüsevariationen; Rosenkohl, Brokkoli, Rotkohl, Paprika Auberginen Gemüse, bis zum… Dessert; Spekulatius Mousse, kleine Marillenknödel mit Vanille oder Fruchtsoße, Baumkuchenbiskuit und verschiedenes Gebäck ließ dieses Buffet keine Wünsche offen. 5 von 5 Sterne 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Es war absolut sein Geld wert 👍  Und wann gönnt man sich schon so einen Abend, wenn nicht an Weihnachten und die gemeinsame schöne Zeit mit der Familie. 我點了羊肉、菠菜湯、蘋果汁 我覺得菠菜湯對我來說太鹹了，只喝半碗 很健康肚子馬上有感覺 羊肉搭醬很合～小菜蘑菇也是熱熱的 好吃有焦香味～ 蘋果汁的話就是基本款 歐洲的蘋果汁都普遍偏甜

Alle bestellten Gerichten waren ok, für die Preise haben wir allerdings geschmacklich mehr erwartet. Wir hatten Burger, Pasta, Steak, Wild und versch. Kindergerichte. Die Portionsgrößen waren angemessen, nur die Pasta war etwas „mager“. Für die Kinder gab es Ausmalbilder mit der Kinderkarte, leider warteten wir vergeblich auf die dazugehörigen Stifte. Ein weiterer Restaurantbesuch von uns ist nicht vorgesehen.

After a long day of traveling we decided to eat at our hotel and we are happy we did. The service was great and the menu had some very nice choices. We ended up having the Cobb salad and the schnitzel. Both wher every good and the desert menu was excellent as well

Wir sind gegen späteren Nachmittag im Marriott Heidelberg angereist und wollten nicht mehr weit wegen unserer Tochter. Total nettes Restaurant, gutes Essen, schneller und sehr freundlicher Service. Auch Kinder sind hier willkommen. Wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt, vielen Dank!

I stayed at the hotel and had dinner at Grill 16 on my birthday. It was fantastic. The food was outstanding and the service was so friendly, warm and welcoming. I even received a special birthday surprise! Dessert was prepared for us to enjoy in our room. Highly recommend a visit to this restaurant. I will definitely be back

Ich schreibe diese Bewertung in Zeiten von Covid-19. Die Speisekarte war sehr klein gehalten (Corona). Wir waren zu zweit und hatten ein Fisch- und ein Fleischgericht. Das servierte Essen war völlig in Ordnung, hat uns jetzt aber nicht vom Stuhl gerissen. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Da wir die restlichen Speisen der „normalen“ Karte nicht kennen ist es schwer hier eine ordentliche Bewertung abzugeben. Unsere Speisen waren ok, und das Personal sehr nett.

We had a rough 36 hours and stopped in the Marriott for a nights stay. We have favorite restaurants in Heidelberg but it was pouring rain and we were very tired so we gave Grill 16 a try. Average, is being kind. After initial drink orders when we wanted something I had to say ‘Hello’ as no wait staff were in sight. My steak was close to medium rare but I was so hungry I let it go, my wife’s steak was very far off the mark and when the brought a new filet it had been pounded down so it would cook quicker, not perfect but edible, but a sad meal at 37 euro; plus they appeared to have put her potatoes in the microwave to keep them warm as they we warm but mushy. My peppercorn gravy had no flavor and was very watery, my wife’s a bit better but completely tasteless. I wii again come to the Marriott but before I go to Grill 16 I will find a diner kebab stand.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and we were seated by the window for a view of the river. It was a nice and enjoyable spot to sit that was far enough away from other diners to be able to enjoy my dinner conversation in peace. the food itself was fantastic. We both got the steak and fries which were perfectly cooked. The desert was great as well, we went with the cheese cake and it topped off the meal. The best part of the experience was the waitstaff. We had Alexis Maestre who had an eye for detail that made the experience great. He was very professional and friendly! He brought us the perfect wine and explained to us the process and had a light and enjoyable conversation. His eye for detail was great as well, I dropped my napkin and he quickly replaced it with a new one and brought it over without touching it with his hands. Overall it was a great experience and if I ever come back I'll definitely eat here again.

Sehr lecker aber natürlich zu Hotelrestaurant Preisen.

... mangels Gastronomie in fussläufiger Umgebung des Hotels ( Grill 16 gehört zum MarriottHotel Heidelberg ) muss man zwangsläufig dort essen, will man kein Taxi in die Stadt ordern. Das lässt sich der Laden aber auch bezahlen. Das Essen ( vor allem Steaks und Burger mit üblichen Beilagen dazu im Angebot ) war gut, doch nicht sehr gut. Der von mir ausgesuchte Wein sehr gut, Gemüse eher durchschnittlich. Steak braten ist eine Kunst, wenn jemand Wert auf vier unterschiedliche Garstufen legt, dann werden diese angeboten . Realisiert wurden sie jedenfalls bei mir nicht so wie bestellt ( zweimal dort gegessen ) . War aber für mich persönlich nicht so schlimm, allerdings : Bei den Preisen, die dort aufgerufen werden , habe ich perfektes Grillen erwartet, kein durchschnittliches . Service sehr freundlich . Rotwein beim ersten Besuch zunächst gekühlt serviert, meine Kritik wurde sofort angenommen und daraufhin kam ein wohl temperierter Wein. Doch noch einmal - PreisLeistungsverhältnis passt nicht - ich besuche auch hochpreisige Restaurants, dort erhalte ich dann aber für sehr viel Geld auch überdurchschnittliche Leistung, nicht nur Durchschnitt, wie hier.

I've eaten here 3 times during my stays at the Marriott. The food is quite good but the menu is very limited to mostly big cuts of red meat. There is 1 seafood dish and 1 vegetarian dish. It is a bit pricey but not unreasonable considering the portions. Service is OK, not great.

We were a party of 9 people and everyone enjoyed their meals. some of us ordered the steaks and they said it was really well cooked and fresh. I ordered the salmon and it was perfect! we also shared a few starters and salads which were really good too and a selection of deserts that were not disappointing. The service was really good and we really enjoyed a perfect evening.They also offer a buffet dinner with many options and very economic but we were more in to ordering a la carte.

Easy place to eat if you are staying at the Marriott. The menu is limited, but the food and service was good. Nice salads, well cooked meat, and attentive service *but limited staff. You can eat outside, where you are able to enjoy river views. Not inexpensive.

This place is at the Marriott hotel where we stayed. We ate here for breakfast and dinner. Both meals were delicious but a little on the pricey side. It was worth it though the food was very good. The only down side was the wait at dinner. We were seated right away but waited at least an hour for food and drink. They were very apologetic and comped us a glass of wine and desert for the table. Our choice of restaurant this evening was spot on! Nestled on the banks of the Neckar, Grill 16 did not disappoint! As the sun set slowly on a warm summer evening, we were delighted with good service, great wine, and a steak that melted in the mouth while all the while, riverboats slipped past silently. What a wonderful evening!

Used this restaurant several times for breakfast, snacks and dinner whilst staying at the Marriott. Nice, bright and clean inside, with a large patio area outside, right next to the river. Breakfast was buffet style. Not cheap if you want a full breakfast. €24. Good but not great range of cold and hot options. During the day, this is primarily a steak restaurant. Very nice food but again I would question the value for money. Overall service was very good.

The scrambled eggs are served as a brick. If you ask for fresh without a liter of oil in the pan the “chef” gets grumpy about ruining his pan. How can you screw up eggs? Its the first culinary step above boiling water. Got burger at for dinner and asked for medium rare for my 19 EU burger. Was told “our frozen patties can only be served well done for safety”. It arrived with 5mm of burnt crust on one side. Eat here if you have to but better choices nearby.

Stay at Marriott for four days and enjoy the facility the Grill 16 is nice and sitting in the the courtyard watching the Rhine river is certainly relaxing after a busy day. Breakfast is great and have reasonable selection. The staff are welcoming and you can communicate to the staff in English without any problem.

Came in late after long work day, and ordered food for take away to room, so it was packaged, but the Cesear sallad with grilled prawns was delicious and well made with really good products.

I was looking for a steakhouse for having a late lunch (2pm) and - since Heid's opens at 5pm only - decided to try Grill 16. We were not disappointed. The waiter was very helpful to arrange the tables in the way we liked. The Rib Eye steak was one of the best I had in while. The Spare Ribs were very good as well. We spent some 2 hours and enjoyed the serene setting with the Neckar flowing nearby on a sunny day.

Grill 16 offers a convenient location for dinner in the Heidelberg Marriott. The outdoor patio is the ideal spot for dinner if the weather cooperates. The steaks were prepared correctly, and the sides were good. If you are in Heidelberg and looking for a beef...

The steaks were the advertised speciality. The steak I had was quite good, but not quite prepared to temperature, as ordered. The pomme frittes were amazing!

The overall meal was tasty and presented well however the time to get the attention of the wait staff after sitting down was nearly 30 minutes. The servers were polite and courteous upon acknowledging us a the table.

After a long flight decided to stay at hotel and have diner. I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. Great view to the river, friendly welcome, very tasty house salad a must have, as for small, and the steak filet it melts on the mouth....

If you look at the menus posted in the hotel and in the garage you think you will enter a westen type of saloon. nothing of that. The food was fabulous. the burgers were great and well prepared. So were the salads! Absolutely recommandable
