Hotel Trapp in Rüdesheim am Rhein

This is our second time staying at the Hotel Trapp and we were very satisfied again. The hotel is very centrally located. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. The staff here are friendly. All in all, another successful stay in Rüdesheim. We would love to come back!

The hotel is cozy and somewhat rustic. It's clean, and the breakfast is very varied and delicious. The rooms can get a bit warmer in warmer weather, depending on the location, but there's a small fan in the room. There's an elevator.

The room and bathroom are very small. The furnishings are a bit dated but clean. The shower is in a tall, smooth tub and is in the wrong place.

We spent seven nights at the Hotel Trapp in August. We really enjoyed it. The location was good, there was plenty of parking. The service was super friendly. The breakfast was excellent, with a large selection. We'd be happy to come back.

My 4 year old loved seeing all the duck decor around. The staff was super helpful and understanding when I had to arrange an early exit. The room was spacious and delightful, air conditioning was great for the summertime. They paid attention to details and everything was clean and well kept. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the included breakfast as we had an early flight to catch. I will try to stay here again next time I do an overnight in Rüdesheim. Wonderful choice.

Even though we only booked a standard room, everything we needed was there. Everything was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was not only sufficient but also of excellent quality. The location was fantastic. You can tell this is a family-run hotel and not a chain.

Friendly staff, great location, clean, and a generous breakfast. The standard room was quite small but adequate. It was a bit noisy, being located right next to the stairwell and facing the street. The smoking area was in front of the hotel entrance below our window, so the smoke drifted into the open window and into the noise of conversation.

We've rarely stayed in such a beautiful, clean, and perfectly located hotel! The staff are always friendly and helpful. A fantastic location, right next to the market square in Rüdedheim. The only minor drawback is that a room facing the street is a bit noisy, but bearable. You can't have peace and quiet in a central location. The breakfast also offers everything you could wish for! We'll be back and look forward to our next visit!

The hotel is very centrally located. The standard double room smells very musty, but it's also really clean. We found the owners at the reception a bit snippy when answering our questions...which can also be seen in many hotel reviews from other guests. As a host, you really shouldn't reflect positive criticism like that and should instead use it to continuously improve the hotel. It seems unprofessional...and even less insightful. Housekeeping, on the other hand, was excellent.

Great location, just a few minutes' walk from the Drosselgasse, the boat dock, and the cable car. Located on the street but quiet. Very comfortable room, safe is free. Mini fridge and air conditioning are available. The entire hotel is very comfortably furnished. Parking is available directly at the hotel, €12 per day. The breakfast is very extensive and delicious. The staff is very friendly. We had a great time and highly recommend the hotel.

We have stayed at the Hotel Trapp several times. The staff is very accommodating and friendly, the location is convenient, and the breakfast is very good. We can recommend the hotel with a clear conscience. It certainly won't be the last time we spend a weekend at the Hotel Trapp. If you're looking for a good hotel in a good location, you can't go past the Hotel Trapp.

This is not a fake review: The room was very good, the breakfast was plentiful, the personal welcome was warm, the breakfast service was excellent, the access to the hotel outside of opening hours was excellent, the small drinks corner in the reception area outside of hotel hours was excellent, and not to forget the young staff with good German skills. P.S.: The carrot cake on Easter Sunday was fabulous.

Great location, lovingly maintained, and modernly furnished. Great location in Rüdesheim as a starting point for all kinds of activities. Not directly in the hustle and bustle, but still right next to it. Easily accessible by car and a super short walk to the highlights. It's a shame that the manager was very unaccommodating to our fellow travelers. Despite a birthday gift of wine, we didn't get it because the email could only be shown on the phone and wasn't printed. Apparently, there was no printer available. It's strange that the hotel bill was printable. The staff, on the other hand, was super friendly.

We were there during Magic Bike Week 2023, 2024, and 2025, and we have only positive things to report. We've already stayed at several hotels in Rüdesheim during Magic Bike Week, and none have been as good as this one. We're very satisfied and will be back next year. Perfect stay during our motorcycle tour! We were on a motorcycle tour with 13 people and stayed at the hotel for two nights. It was excellent all around! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was warm and attentive. The breakfast was particularly noteworthy; there was a great selection and even freshly prepared fried eggs, a real highlight in the morning! The hotel was ideal for our group, with ample parking for the motorcycles and a very hospitable atmosphere. Many thanks to the entire team; we would love to come back!

We stayed at the Hotel Trapp with a group of 10 people, we were warmly welcomed, the rooms were good, and the breakfast was highly recommended.

Nice and well located hotel with fair prices. Questions and requests are addressed and an attempt is made to find a solution. I particularly liked the fireplace room with self-service to round off a day with friends. The decoration throughout the house was also very harmonious. Only the parking lot that belonged to the hotel was a bit small and expensive.

Spontaneously spent 1 night on a motorcycle tour. We received a very friendly welcome. Single room small but everything is there and very clean. Breakfast excellent. 1 star deducted because WiFi was almost non-existent and I think 12 euros for motorcycle parking is excessive.

My husband and myself, as well as another couple, stayed for 3 nights March 22-24, 2025. I highly recommend this hotel for a variety of reasons. The people who own and work there are absolutely lovely, providing excellent recommendations and assistance with reservations, taxis, and local information. The hotel itself is very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The shower has excellent water pressure, and the mini fridge was a wonderful addition! You couldn’t want for anything else at the beautiful breakfast buffet. It was a great selection of wonderful quality. The location is perfectly suited in town, and a very safe area for group or solo travellers. We will be back if our travels bring us back to the area! Thank you for everything!

Was there on business for a conference. But you could also go on holiday here. Beautiful surroundings, palaces, castles, pleasant restaurants.

We had a very nice weekend in Rüdesheim and felt very comfortable in the Hotel Trapp. We were warmly welcomed by the hotel owner, the breakfast was great and we spent a very nice evening in the small room.

Went to dinner in the Entenstube on Christmas Day. Service was perfect. Staff very friendly and accommodating. There was just one point that we didn't understand. We ordered a goose with side dishes in advance for 4 people. Cost 149 euros. We got 4 goose legs with side dishes for the same price. Even the service staff couldn't answer this point when we asked. Up until this point we were not aware that a goose only has 4 legs. Except for the lamb's lettuce, which was served sandy and almost without dressing, the food was excellent. Our praise goes to the kitchen

Always the right place for a short trip to Rüdesheim

We booked the Hotel Trapp for 2 nights for the Rüdesheim Christmas market. The large twin room is equipped with a TV, minibar and air conditioning. The staff is very friendly and the guest room was decorated with a lot of effort. The breakfast is great, anything that runs low is replenished promptly. Car parking space available. The Hotel Trapp is our favorite accommodation when we are traveling in the Rheingau for business or tourism. It is quietly located in the middle of Rüdesheim and is a great starting point for many activities: the cable car to the Niederwalddenkmal, the ferry to Bingen and the boat docks are nearby and there is also a very nice wine tasting stand. The owners are always courteous and helpful even if there are problems. There's never been anything to complain about.

The room was clean, but very noisy and extremely warm, the night was unfortunately very restless due to people returning home drunk and at 7 a.m. there was a long, loud ringing of the bell.......unfortunately not a restful sleep. Hotel Trapp is located next to the church of the beautiful and touristy Rüdesheim, so right in the center, close to all pubs, shops and restaurants and not far from the Rhine. The main road and railway are a bit further away and the road next to the hotel is for local traffic only. The stay in this hotel is therefore very quiet. There is always something to do in Rüdesheim itself. Walking, cycling along the Rhine, boat trips, beautiful landscapes, music and very tasty wines and food. The interior of the hotel is unique and offers a lot of atmosphere. Everything is neatly maintained. The owners of the hotel are often present in the hotel and, together with their staff, provide very good service. They also make time to have a chat with their customers and are clearly interested in their opinions and well-being. The breakfast is extensive. It is possible to park your car in the hotel car park. Was very nice, with a roof terrace. This should no longer be entered after 7 p.m., which would have been nice because our room was in that direction and unfortunately we couldn't open the window in the evening because of the cigarette smoke and the noise. Rooms were very warm
