Unfortunately, my last visit to this restaurant turned out to be disappointing. It took a long time for the server to arrive, and even after ordering, we had to wait a very long time. The pizza was underwhelming, the steaks were tough. Overall, the service left a lot to be desired. This restaurant used to be excellent, but I'm now sadly disappointed. While the location on the beautiful waterfront promenade is attractive, based on my experience, I can't recommend the restaurant.

Pizza is ok but that's all I can't recommend

The food was a complete disappointment. The pizza wasn't cooked properly and definitely not worth €16. The pepper sauce felt like it was just a thickener, and the rump steak had a very strange flavor – absolutely unacceptable for almost €30. A 0.5 liter of water for €6.50 is also massively overpriced. The ambiance also seems dated and is in dire need of renovation. For these prices, I expect significantly better quality. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it.

We ate Banana Split at Valentino and the ice cream was not good at all. There were too many frozen pieces in the ice cream, which made eating the ice cream less than enjoyable. The only good thing about the ice cream were the bananas. The vanilla ice cream just tasted like cream. You can't think much of the waitresses either. Unfriendly and rude. I understand that you've had a long day, but when you take it out on the customers, you start to question whether they've missed their job. After we said we wanted to pay, we just got a sideways glance. Not a nod, not a "moment" or anything like that to indicate that we were understood. The waitresses didn't take our money either, but their colleague did. He was the only good thing about the restaurant. Nice, polite and accommodating. Unfortunately, I can't understand the good reviews, especially not for the price.

I ate by far the worst pizza of my life here. You can't really call it pizza. It's outrageous. The rest of the food wasn't great either. It's a shame. Such poor quality in such a great location. The restaurant was also rather dirty inside. The restrooms weren't clean. I wish we'd read the reviews before our visit. Absolutely not recommended!

A beautiful, cozy, and well-kept restaurant in a prime location. The ambiance captivates with its Italian flair and beautiful red and white decor. The staff is extremely friendly and very attentive. The food, in our case pizza and pasta, was excellent. All in all, a very pleasant evening at Valentino with superbly delicious food, top-notch service, and a beautiful sunset over Lake Constance. We'll definitely be back at Valentino on our next visit to Meersburg. I highly recommend it.

Unfortunately, the pizza wasn't worthy of that name. The dough is more like an Indian naan, and the cheese on the topping has a consistency somewhere between marshmallow and mayonnaise. Even the bland flavor doesn't lift this construct from its culinary depths. Unsatisfying!

Went to Valentino's today. Beers cost €5.90. Pizza dough was from tarte flambée dough. Small pizza, tasteless!!! Long wait times. Way too expensive. There were cobwebs inside and it wasn't very clean. The place isn't worth the money. Not recommended!!!

We ate at the Valentino restaurant yesterday, right on Meersburg's beautiful promenade with a view of Lake Constance. We were served quickly and friendly by our waitress, Gabriela. The food didn't take long to arrive, and we were all very satisfied. We were able to pay with an EC card, which isn't common everywhere yet. We will definitely eat here again. We give this restaurant a clear 5 stars; we couldn't fault it. Keep up the good work :)

When we vacation in Meersburg, we regularly eat at the beautiful Valentino restaurant. The food is delicious, and the view of Lake Constance is truly unique. The service is attentive, even when it's busy. We always enjoy coming back!

On the last day of our vacation, we wanted to go out for a nice meal. The Valentino looked appealing. The menu promised delicious food. We ordered zander fillet with vegetables and potatoes, as well as a rump steak (medium) with herb butter and fries. The shandy tasted a bit strange to me, but I put that down to the unfamiliar brand of beer. The food arrived... the zander was OK. I got rump steak with pepper sauce and fries. They immediately agreed to swap it. I said it was OK. It was delicious. The steak was a bit on the medium side. Later, I was offered ice cream or espresso as compensation. We both enjoyed the chocolate ice cream. So far, everything was great. Great service, very friendly, very attentive. The ambiance by the lake was also great. Unfortunately, my stomach is rumbling a bit. My wife frequents the quiet rooms every now and then. What a shame.

Vacation, Monday, a special family holiday. You happen to pass by in the morning, order two drinks, and you also get a wonderful cake stand with fruit and sandwiches for free – super delicious – total delight! Two days later, because of the good experience, I went back there again, late afternoon, ordered two pizzas + x, got one pizza + x, asked for the other pizza after 10 minutes, and another 10…15 minutes later, the missing pizza was brought without a word – no explanation, no apology, nothing! Declined, paid, left the rest – never again! How can you completely ruin such a good first impression like that? Two short sentences would have been enough and everything would have been fine. So all that's left is 👎🏼

Not recommended. We ordered steaks that were literally riddled with tendons. When we asked, they first brought us steak knives. The meat still couldn't be cut. They called a waiter, who then brought a new piece. How can you even serve something like that to a customer? Steaks for €28.50 each. Vacationers, stay away.

All in all, very good! The bad reviews date back to the previous owner's time. The food, service, and price were more than justified! There's a great view of Lake Constance. If we're ever in Mersburg again, I'll definitely be happy to come back here.

Totally disappointed with pizza discounter quality

The pizza for almost €10 was a complete disaster, nothing to do with pizza. The fries looked very frozen, and the drinks were overpriced.

The food is delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive. If we go on holiday to Meersburg again, we'll eat there again. I can only recommend it!

From 8:30 p.m. onwards, morale seems to plummet. We sat for 40 minutes with empty glasses even though there was no one else going on. Then we were charged for completely different drinks than what we ordered. Non-alcoholic brand drinks were served with knock-offs that definitely had residual alcohol. A definite no-go for pregnant guests. The food was great, though. Nothing to complain about except that rump steak was out of stock at 8 p.m., which is perfectly fine in terms of budgeting. We won't be returning again.

Food tastes disgusting and expensive

I have never before so strongly felt like a tourist being milked for every cent he's got. A bag of tea - ONE BAG! for 5€. And the coffee tasted awful. This is an absolute scam.

The two of us had dinner at Valentino. The drinks are very expensive, but the location is good, right on the lake. We once had the salad composition with 2 fish fillets. In addition to the green salad, there was canned sauerkraut!!! as well as grated carrot without any dressing, the so-called composition. The fish fillets were big enough but didn't taste particularly good. The Pizza Piccante was not only extremely greasy, the pizza dough was nothing like that of a normal pizza. At least it wasn't yeast dough. Unfortunately, the visit to the restaurant was a total failure. Too bad.

So, the prices are really steep. Hard electronic music was playing in the restaurant - I don't want to hear that at an Italian restaurant. There is a strong smell of kitchen in the dining room, the food was just fine. Bottom line: a bad tourist shop on Lake Constance. Not recommended!

We were guests at Valentino today. We ordered 2x onion roast with French fries instead of spaetzle. They were small rump steaks. We were specifically asked how we liked the meat. Our wish would have been medium rare, but unfortunately they ended up on our plate almost fully cooked, which was of course much tougher. We had a good time chewing. The sauce was - like the prices - properly salted. My blackcurrant juice spritzer was mixed with still water instead of sparkling water. It wasn't really cold either. So next time we will spend our money somewhere else. View of the lake was nice

The worst pizza I've ever eaten. Disgusting food. We ordered pizzas. What we received had nothing to do with a pizza. The cheap cheese was actually the best part of the pizza. Tasteless Flammkuchen ready-made dough. Miserable tomato sauce. All of this for a hefty price too. The restaurant lives solely from its location. Absolutely embarrassing how carelessly you can prepare food.

We were able to enjoy a very good and relaxed lunch with an aperitif here - right on the lake with a beautiful view. Not only was the food very good, the service was also friendly and attentive. The prices here are of course high - but pretty much the same as in all the other restaurants in this popular lakeside location. There were two of us and it was after 1 p.m. Beforehand, when the shop is full and one or two larger groups might want to eat their meal together - it can certainly get a little more crowded and you just need more patience.

Unfortunately we should have checked the reviews before we were surprised by the quality of the food. As a predecessor already mentioned, this restaurant thrives on its location alone. The pizza was like a frozen pizza, the choice of toppings was good and cheap, the salad was without dressing. Service was almost non-existent. It's a shame, we won't be coming back a second time.

In summary, it's not worth the price. Great location by the lake with a view of Switzerland. Zander was great! The cheeks were great, the sauces were generally overly seasoned. Salad quite tasteless with ready-made dressing. Hugo Sieupbroth. Cola stale. Complaints were accepted and responded to. Therefore 2 stars. But it's a shame because it's actually a great, attractive location.

It's no longer solemn how much money you can charge for bad food and drinks, it's outrageous, if I want to look at the lake I can sit on a bench 2 meters away for free

The shop thrives solely on its location. The pizza dough had nothing to do with pizza, was 100% frozen food. Without the lake view and the walk-in customers, they would have been bankrupt a long time ago. The waitress couldn't speak German or Italian, couldn't give any information about the wine and shrugged her shoulders when I said that the food wasn't good. Absolute tourist trap to avoid!

The pizza I ordered was never made with pizza dough but rather a tasteless tarte flambée dough. It's a shame I didn't take a photo. The waitress I said didn't understand my complaint due to a lack of language skills. So I ate a tarte flambée that was topped like a pizza. There was nothing wrong with the surface. The Pinot Blanc that was incorrectly declared on the receipt was of the lowest quality. Such wines can be found in liter bottles at the bottom of the discount store shelf. It was extremely sour, although Pinot Blanc is considered a rather mild wine. Well, it was my own fault for not recognizing the ripoff before ordering, as the origin was not declared on the menu. I foolishly expected a local wine. Luckily, not everything on Lake Constance is a tourist trap, but I will take a closer look at where I go in the future.

However, I don't want to make any recommendations about the food 🙈🙈 ...the pizzas we ordered, especially the dough (it tasted like ready-made dough from the supermarket!) were a disaster!! After I criticized the pizza dough, my request to pay was ignored and people preferred to serve walk-in customers. Last but not least, there were two items from the neighboring table on our bill...🫡 *open eyes*. My partner’s “homemade” iced tea was sweet and tasted like nothing other than cheap iced tea from a discount store.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant, the food didn't come in one go and the drink order was misunderstood several times. Instead of white wine spritzer there was a white wine and instead of Cola wheat a small cola was served. Of course, with a view of Lake Constance and proximity to the promenade, higher prices are to be expected, but the quality of the food could in no way justify this.

The pizza is very thin and small, - on a vegetable pizza - there was only one vegetable => raw zucchini, nothing more. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't good either, which is a shame. The drinks are overpriced. The waitress was very nice and the service was quick. Nice, the location is right on the lake.

I often come to this restaurant, the environment is very satisfying because we are on the largest lake in Europe and eating here, above all, good and excellent food is the top of the restaurants here, the staff is very quick with requests and I recommend the food to everyone... We were two people and had dinner here. The service was friendly and there quickly (it was also rainy and not very busy). To eat: We ate shaved cheese spaetzle and a Margherita pizza. Phew...value for money, I don't know... The pizza didn't look or taste very traditional for an Italian restaurant - more like a frozen pizza (that's actually what it looked like). The herbs probably ran out halfway through so I ended up adding chives - interesting🧐 That wasn't my thing. The portion size of the cheese spaetzle for the hefty price of €17.90 was very meager...plus the fried onions were far too big and could hardly be mixed with the cheese spaetzle (I know, questionable decision on my part to order cheese spaetzle from the Italian restaurant - naive me) . About the drinks: We drank a 0.5L sparkling water and a 0.5L blackcurrant spritzer. We were amazed at how on earth the price for the 0.5L sparkling water came to be, at an impressive €6.80. For reference, the 0.5L blackcurrant spritzer costs €5.90, which is pretty impressive. Ambiance: There's nothing you can say about Lake Constance, but unfortunately you can say something about the cleanliness of the outdoor tables😓. We felt like we were sitting at a camping table… Conclusion: From previous experience you could actually eat nice and tasty food here, maybe we just had a bad day. However, if this day reflects the permanent situation, I would rather leave my money somewhere else.

Pizza war weniger gut. Matschiger Teig, nicht besonders schmackhaft. Spaghetti fade und einfach. Sehr teure Getränke.

Direkt am Wasser hat seinen Preis. Tatsächlich waren alle 4 Gerichte sehr Schmackhaft. Bedienung war nett und erstaunlich aufmerksam. Sehr beengtes Sitzen. Die Salate waren erstklassig. Weiter so….

Delicious food with a beautiful view of the lake😍

Well, I don't even know where to start... There were 8 of us and we had to share two menus. By the time we had all chosen something, we were offered more, but unfortunately it was too late. On our table we had great towers of ashtrays and plenty of sugar, while on other tables there were no ashtrays or sugar at all. Rump steak (medium) was ordered twice, it can be seen that it was well done, both of them. Homemade shaved spaetzle is offered here, which is nothing other than homemade, bought at Rewe. The herb butter for the rump steak was still frozen. The pizza dough was bought and not even baked through. So that you can't go wrong with pizza... When we asked for parmesan with the spaghetti, it took 10 minutes for it to be brought, by then the spaghetti was cold and we were brought sprinkled cheese (Gouda). Of the 2 pastas that were ordered, one of them (Spaghetti Bolognese) was soaked in pasta water and mixed with additional spaetzle. The other one (spaghetti primavera) was so peppery that it couldn't be eaten completely. The waitress is anything but friendly, I know that everyone is given a drink in their place, but this is apparently not the case here. The waitress stands at the end of the table and calls out “Iced Tea”, rolling her eyes and placing it at the end of the table to be handed over. There is no toilet paper in the toilet. All of us have never had such bad food and disappointment as we did here. Priced below all else, before I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, it is better to go for the kebab.

Delicious food and beautiful views. Unfortunately very expensive and the portions are quite small. As guests in the outdoor area, we found it very annoying that there was always at least one condition next to our table in order to appeal to passers-by. We felt quite disturbed by this while eating and left quite quickly.

I love the food, there are so many choices and the view of Lake Constance is simply stunning

A beer for €7.80 is incredibly overpriced. The toilets were old and dirty. Given the prices you would at least expect a clean toilet. The location was good, but doesn't justify the prices. Even in Venice, Milan, Paris you don't pay the same and let's be honest... Meersburg is a small, somewhat boring town on Lake Constance. I'm sorry but it was really bad

We can recommend the Valentino restaurant on the beautiful promenade on Lake Constance. The employees are very competent, friendly and accommodating. My wife had a tarte flambée and I had a pizza. (Own variation) It met our taste exactly 5/5 stars. Price/performance ratio also good. We will be back :)

The price-performance ratio is in no way correct. I had a salad with fish, the portion was way too small, the salad didn't taste like anything, the baguette was hard and dry for €19.80. A cup of hot water with a regular tea bag for €4.20. The location right on the lake is nice.

The food was tasty, but the portion size wouldn't even fill a child. The shandy is a bit strong. For the hefty price I expect more, very poor value for money. You had to ask for forks, card payment wasn't possible and there was no paper in the toilet. The staff was cold and unfriendly, you felt like you were being watched. I can't recommend it if you want to be full. Of course there were no tips.

Truly an unpleasant and uncomfortable experience with this restaurant - it does not accept credit cards. Although it is printed on the first page of the menu (together with another information, just in a bottom of a full page) I find it just incredible - a restaurant in a very centre of a touristic destination? Really? Staff we were dealing with to solve the payment issue was not very supportive - not able to provide us with the IBAN version of their bank account, just mentioned a cash machine nearby which was apparently out of order and asked us for our ID to keep till the full payment would not be realized:-(( Allowed them just to take a photo of our ID but still - really a bad experience - do not want to face it ever again - all the potential customers - be carefull!

Prime location on the waterfront. Service was very quick and very friendly. We had spaghetti with mussels and salad and found both to be outstanding. Another thing worth mentioning might be the somewhat un-Italian, but extremely tasty, fresh potato salad with onions. He really surprised us. Although there aren't many flavors of ice cream on offer, the ice cream is homemade and tastes that way. We will be back!

Wir sind immer sehr zufrieden. Es ist schön draussen und drinnen. Freundliches Servicepersonal und leckeres Essen. Man fühlt sich hier echt wohl.

Die schlechten Bewertungen kann ich nicht nachvollziehen, wir hatten Salat, Bruschetta, Putenrahmschnitzel mit fritten und Tagliatelle mit Pfifferlingen. Alles hat super geschmeckt, Bruschetta Brot warm und angetoastet wie es sein muss, fritten waren super, Soße und Steak auch. Die Tagliatelle haben super geschmeckt, waren nur leider leicht überkocht. Service war schnell und aufmerksam.

Direkt auf der Seepromenade gelegen mit schönem Meerblick. Essen ist lecker und von den Preisen für diesen Standort normal, leider sind die Getränke lächerlich überteuert. Für ein Wasser 0,25 Liter stolze 4,80€ zu verlangen ist meiner Meinung nach schon frech.

Die Pizzen waren ok, das Radler bitter. Das Angebot der Speisen und die Preise weichen leider erheblich von der Internetseite ab!

Das Essen war sehr gut. Wir waren einmal mit drei Personen da, jeder hatte etwas anderes bestellt und alle waren sehr zufrieden. Die Bedienung war auch sehr sympathisch. Auch die Lage ist ist toll. Direkt an der Promenade und nur ca. 5 m vom Bodensee entfernt. Man hat einen herrlichen Blick auf die Schweiz mit ihren Bergen. Ich werde da auf jeden Fall wieder hingehen.

Die Bedienung liess sich sehr viel Zeit, um die Bestellung aufzunehmen, obwohl das lokal nur zur Hälfte gefüllt war. Die „Pizza“ war ein belegter Flammkuchenteig und sehr matschig. Änderungen auf der Pizza wurden jedoch freundlich akzeptiert, machte sie aber trotzdem nicht besser.

Ich bin jedes Jahr am Bodensee und immer gehört ein Besuch im Valentino dazu. Die Pizza Pazza (und alles andere was ich bisher dort gegessen habe) ist mega lecker, der Service unbeschreiblich toll, schnell und zuverlässig. Die Preise sind für einen Urlaubsort sehr sehr toll und es ist immer wieder schön dort zu sein. Die Kellnerin ist unbeschreiblich... super freundlich mit einem Wahnsinnsgedächtnis... es ist, als ob man nach Hause kommt!

Wir wurden sehr nett bedient und die Pizzen die wir hatten waren sehr lecker. Das einzige was nicht passte war das leicht vertrocknete Radieschen beim großen Salat, den wir uns zusätzlich bestellt hatten. Das man nur mit Bargeld bezahlen kann ist zwar recht ungewöhnlich, wird einem aber vor der ersten Bestellung gesagt, bzw. steht es auf der ersten Seite der Speisekarte.

Ein Restaurant mit top Lage, direkt am Wasser und tollem Blick in die Schweiz rüber. Das Essen war okay, wir haben Pizza und Salat bestellt. Geschmeckt hat es nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht so gut, als das wir nochmal herkommen müssten. Dennoch war die Kellnerin super lieb und freundlich.

Az étterem kellemes hangulatú, az ételek finomak. Egyszer érdemes itt enni. Valószínűleg nem leszünk visszatérő vendégek. Nem lehet kártyával fizetni, ami a mai világban elengedhetetlen lenne egy étteremben.
