Delicious fish, portion size just right, great ambience, we'll be happy to come back... on our next vacation :)

Two things first: 1. 5 stars are above average for me, 2. Don't go if you're really hungry!! Now a little more detail. The service was very attentive and fulfilled a few small requests or questions for us (we were there with a small child). Nothing that goes beyond normal but still very pleasant. The ambience is nice, so close to the river bank. This is marred a little by the closely spaced tables - understandable when the shop is buzzing, but still a bit cramped. The food was delicious for us and was delivered very quickly despite the house being full. But it was simply not enough for the high price. Of course, quality has its price and you can't and shouldn't always expect a portion for a herd of fattening pigs that you can take some with you and eat again at home like with the local Greeks, but for the money you should get more than 5 forks of pasta and something more variety on the plate.

The best thing about this place is the location. Even on Lake Constance, you rarely receive such unfriendly and disinterested service. I have never experienced a waiter who didn't say anything to us other than: "Do you have anything now?". The plate with the starter was smeared with balsamic vinegar and cheese on the bottom, and the tablecloth was unfortunately stained until dessert on the table. Luckily the portion wasn't large; I couldn't have tolerated more of the fatty saffron risotto. We were invited by friends so we didn't comment on the lukewarm white wine etc. We never voluntarily go into the restaurant again, even though we don't live far away.

Welcome to Germany! Had two drinks for €14… Card payments only possible from €25. It's unbelievable how work is done here... clearly a tourist hotspot and you don't have to rely on customers who come often... and that's exactly what you get to feel here! Too bad

I just had dinner here for the first time with my partner and in-laws and I have to say it was excellent. The service was super friendly, the food was excellent and the price was very good. I'd love to come back. Only recommended. Unfortunately no pictures were taken, next time 😉

Good restaurant with a great location by the lake! There were six of us and overall we were very satisfied. Pizza and sea bream very good. The salad with chicken was delicately seasoned with vinegar dressing. Please DO NOT use the balsamic dressing as a decoration on the pasta. We'd love to come back. Price performance is completely okay

The boss basically caught us strolling along the promenade - I've never had that before. Service and food were great - nothing to complain about. Food came quickly, minor changes to a meal that was actually on the menu were no problem.

Good location, right on the lake. The service is good and the food tasted great. Only the cake wasn't that great. The cheesecake was too dense and the plum cake wasn't that special either. Felt like we were eating frozen cake. Compared to a nearby café/bistro (cake comes from a wholesaler in bakery quality), this cake cannot compete. Which is a real shame.

Right on the waterfront and with friendly and dedicated service that also took care of charging my watch and cell phone. Then the fillet of Lake Constance whitefish was perfectly fried and beautifully decorated on the red beet risotto. Finally, the original Italian espresso. Top...recommendation!

We sat upstairs in the restaurant and the service there was really bad. Food came before drinks, wine spritzer stale, salad dressing indefinable. The waitress didn't even ask if we wanted something to drink and we had to pay ourselves downstairs. The toilets are very narrow and not clean. All in all we were disappointed and will not visit this restaurant again!!

We haven't had such a bad meal in a long time, the schnitzel looked like it came out of the deep fryer. The fish was absolutely inedible. Unfortunately everything is really very bland, but for people who know little about food, it's exactly the right thing. Because this always seems to be well attended.

A really good restaurant. We ate salad, salmon pastas and a fish. The chicken in the salad was really nice and the fish in noodles as well. Must try the mushrooms in the salad. Really recommended.

Food bad, price high, service mediocre. Aperol was watery. Nice atmosphere by the lake. No light in the toilet and no towels to dry off with.

Same mishap as a previous customer. We will tell you the amount to pay by card without a receipt. As the amount announced seemed high to me I insisted on having the bill before paying. At my insistence, she called a colleague who issued me the invoice: €17 difference for them. No apology from them. I will therefore not recommend this restaurant or be warned to ask for the detailed bill before paying.

A very nice Italian restaurant right on the lake, the menu has a great selection of fish and seafood. In addition, the classic dishes are not neglected. The prices are absolutely fine for a restaurant in such a great location. The service was very nice and the items were cleared and asked for very attentively. I really appreciate it. A little tip, if the weather is nice you can sit by the windows on the upper floor and have an outstanding view of the lake. We'd love to come back. Thank you for the good experience.

Preparing a Vitello Tonato should be a matter of course and not a challenge for every Italian. Especially since the tuna sauce doesn't have to be freshly prepared. However, if the sauce is a completely over-salted paste, the whole dish is in the bucket. The fresh pizza bread can't save it either. I visited the restaurant because of the good overall rating, but unfortunately I cannot share the rating. A failure. The second photo is for the nice owner of the restaurant, who, after reading my review, tried to convince me that the "sauce" was okay. Any layperson can find out how it really works on the Internet. The owner cannot handle criticism at all. You can see that from the fact that he only thanks you for good reviews. Negative comments are not improved at all. The tables outside are still so close together, even though several customers here have already mentioned this.

We were here twice and both times were very tasty: cocktails were good, rump steak, salmon fillet and pizza were all very tasty! The tapas shrimp were the best! Sat inside with a wonderful view of Lake Constance and once outside 3 meters from the lake

I had a terrible experience at Droste-Cafe. We arrived at 11 PM, an hour before closing time and asking for ice cream for our kids, but were rudely refused service despite a server initially offering to help us. The staff was uncoordinated and unprofessional. One server said we can serve you and the other one jumped in and said we are closed. They could have given the kids ice cream to go. The place was clearly open and the two servers were standing outside. There was no movement anywhere to suggest closing and it was more than an hour before their listed closing time. For rude staff and lack of proper service, i do NOT recommend this place to anyone.

We really wanted to sit with a view of Lake Constance. You sit with a view of the lake. Staff is attentive and friendly. The food is mediocre. I had a dish with the peppers and it was oversalted, so I ended up getting a price reduction because of that. My husband thought his pizza was quite good. The drinks - there was a homemade iced tea, but it was almost certainly a bottled iced tea from the supermarket, the homemade iced teas are not that sweet and those from the supermarket have their own taste, no matter what brand and it tasted the same. I found that very unfortunate. Personally, I think the prices for the service are overpriced, they probably charge more because of the lake view and because there are a lot of tourists walking by, some come. I wouldn't recommend until you revise the offer and offer what it says.

Tolle Lage, schönes Ambiente- das ist nicht alles. Ich kann hier nur meine Erfahrung zu einem geplanten Tagesabschlussdrink widergeben. gegessen haben wir hier nicht. das kann also ganz anders sein. Ich hatte eine Moscow Mule bestellt. Nachdem ich neun Eiswürfel zum Teil entfernt hatte, füllte der Ober das Glas wieder auf. Anstelle von Spicy Ginger wurde aber Ginger Ale verwendet. Das schmeckte dann auch so. Der Cosmopolitan für meine Frau war zimlich dünn. Wir zahlten ohne auszutrinken.

Food was delicious, delicious pizza and good mussels (unfortunately the salad dressing wasn't good at all, but that might be a matter of taste). Unfortunately service wasn't good. The waiter had no motivation or friendliness at all, it was more of a check-in. But location is great. If the service was better and it wasn't just about making money, we would come back. A pity.

Very nicely located restaurant. It was just perfect for me for the evening. Enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed with the food because it was quite unseasoned and for me risotto has to be chunky and have a nice taste. Unfortunately that was a bit of a shame

The food came quickly and was super tasty. We were also able to enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Constance.

Beetles 🪲 in salad? No cutlery? Waiting in line to pay and exposing yourself to the anger of the waiters? It's a shame, we imagined something better. The boss had no interest in taking action either.

1. There was no cutlery at the table, we only received cutlery after requesting it, and the food had already been served and we couldn't eat. 2. Long waits for food! 3. The food wasn't tasty! I had a salad with seafood, there was no or hardly any tasty dressing, the seafood was tasteless with the green salad, which also tasted like nothing and there was no or hardly any dressing. The seafood was probably frozen and simply heated in a water bath, unfortunately it didn't taste like anything! I actually expected a salad with freshly fried shrimp and pieces of fish. 4. Unfortunately I had a bug in my food, if it had been fresh it would have been noticed, unfortunately I didn't receive an apology, just a message that it can happen. It was on the invoice and was removed from the invoice after the defect was pointed out. 5. The menu is much too big, so it was clear to me that with so much choice, not everything could be good. It's better to have less and do it right. 6. The fries were super tasty and the view was outstanding, unfortunately that was it! It's a shame, for the same price we eat a lot better here!

Mesmerizing view from the balcony. Scrumptious lunch. Pizza is authentic and tasty. Hirsch Hefe Weizen is undoubtedly awesome. If you are in Konstanz please visit Meersburg and don't forget to try this restaurant with a wonderful view.

Felt like I was on vacation, very nice staff

The food was tasty, but the experience was marred by the unfriendly waitress (with glasses). When I asked for a sauce for my fish with potatoes, I was told to order quickly as the waitress didn't have time. This type of customer service was disappointing and detracted from the overall experience.

Great place, all good was awesome. I will recommend 1000% Tiramisu was just melting in the mouth. Pizza, chicken breast, fish platter is too awesome. Try to go on weekends, weekdays there is no much vibe and felt food is kind of not fresh. I went on Saturday March 30th 2024 Saturday felt too good. Then again on April 1st 2024 Monday wasnt that good.

A nice restaurant directly with a lake view and on the Playa 😀. The spaghetti Alio & Olio were great. Unfortunately I didn't think the atmosphere was that great, but it was rainy and the outside front wasn't open to the water, so you felt a bit cramped and the seating was tight.

Should we take the empty plate home with us now? I'm not so sure anymore... The atmosphere is nice, but the friendliness of the blonde lady leaves a lot to be desired. And the one with the long black hair is out of place too. I asked for a fork. In the meantime, by the time she brought them, I grabbed one from the next table and started eating. They probably don't want to sell drinks here either... My glass has been empty for half an hour and no one asks if everything is okay... Catastrophe here... At least they made an effort with the ice. They really drove to the glacier in the mountains so that they could serve it fresh... Respect... They offer below-average service here. I like to eat out a lot and I like to tip, but here I should get something because I was there. The Italian restaurant Fährhaus Meersburg near the ferry pier is great!

In einer Stadt, in der wirklich alles geschlossen ist, befürchtet der hungrige Tourist die klassische Abzocke. Kann es geben - aber nicht im Restaurant “ Droste “ in Meersburg. Wir wurden aufmerksam bedient, hatten Carpaccio in erlesener Qualität, genossen ausserordentlich gut gegrillte Scampis mit Chili- und Knoblauchöl, tranken hiesigen Wein, alles verlief ohne Wartezeit trotz gut gefüllten Restaurants. In Italien hätte der Mocca nicht besser schmecken können, den wir zum Abschluss des Mals genossen! Eine Gaumenfreude, die gastlich dargereicht wurde, einfach nur lecker und herrlich!

The service and food were very good and, above all, the food comes very quickly. On the upper floor there is another super nice room with a beautiful decorated dome with a view of Lake Constance. Unfortunately the toilets weren't that good. Not so clean and the faucet was loose in both toilets.

Were just there to have a coffee ☕️! I mean €4.50 for a coffee is already a hefty sum!

Food was excellent. Unfortunately, the staff was not at all attentive and not motivated. We had to call the staff ourselves every time and were not properly noticed.

It's disgraceful that the waffle machine is often broken

Für Montag Abend wie erwartet wenig los. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Bestellt haben wir eine Pizza Calzone und Penne al Forno bestellt. Diese kamen dann auch nach kurzer Zeit. Zur Pizza: An der Füllung wurde gespart, Teig war in Orndung. Erwähnenswert sind die 2 Soßen welche man dazu bekommen hat (Chilli&Knoblauch) Zur Penne: Geschmack war sehr fad. Auch die Chilli Soße hat es nicht aufgewertet. Das Hackfleisch musste man suchen und der Parmesan war auch geschmacklich den Penne gleich gestellt. Leider… Also im Sommer mit dem Ambiente und Lokal, muss das Essen deutlich gesteigert werden. Aber davon gehen wir hoffentlich aus. Eventuell gibt es ja ein Wiedersehen.

Die kleine Pizza war in Ordnung. Der aperol hat viel zu wässrig geschmeckt und der Service, zumindest im Außenbereich unterirdisch. Wir mussten den kellner mehrfach um ein und dassselbe bitten und wurden immer wieder vergessen. Auf Nachfrage wurde unhöflich reagiert.

Top Empfehlung. 🎂 Feier mit 40 Gästen. Die Räumlichkeit ist einfach der Hammer. Super entspannte Vorbereitung. 4 Gang Menü mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Der Service freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend....halt typisch italienischer Charme. Der Cef hat versucht jeden persönlich zu verabschieden...spät in der Nacht. Danke für diesen...euren Beitrag zur Feier zum 50. Geburtstag Gern kommen wir wieder. P.S. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Essen war sehr lecker. Dabei der Ausblick zum Bodensee. Service war sehr höflich aber braucht noch die ein oder andere Verbesserung.

Un bon restaurant italien avec vue vers le lac. Prestations de bon niveau avec des plats bien préparés. Bon service et prix modérés.

Das Essen war ein Geschmacksorgasmus. Wirklich tolle Küche. Service ist sehr gut und sehr nett. Die Idee mit den Spiegel ist genial. So hat man von jeder Position einen Seeblick. Ich komme jederzeit wieder. Anfahrtsweg 80 km nehme ich gerne in Kauf.

Aussicht natürlich super, nettes und schnelles Personal aber das war’s auch. Colaweizen war eigentlich nur Weizen, jede Tiefkühlpizza schmeckt besser und Nudeln waren okay. Sitzplätze außen, eng an eng. War das erste und letzte Mal

Die Creme brulè war an der Oberfläche verbrannt und bitter, die Creme selber auch nicht besonders, Cappuccino kenne ich auch besser, der Service dürfte auch freundlicher sein. Nächstes Mal mit Sicherheit woanders. Da kann auch der Seeblick nicht helfen 😐

Es gab einen Kaffe und ein Stück Käsekuchen , sehr freundliches Personal Kaffee und Kuchen waren gut. Preis Leistung war passend.
