Ein Restaurant, das man einfach uneingeschränkt empfehlen kann! Die Bedienung ist nicht nur freundlich, sondern herzlich, beinahe schon familiär. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und bestens aufgehoben. Besonders beeindruckend ist, dass diese außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft selbst dann gelebt wird, wenn das Restaurant sehr gut besucht ist und Hochbetrieb herrscht – eine Leistung, die alles andere als selbstverständlich ist. Wir haben hier bereits mehrere Feiern ausgerichtet und waren auch oft spontan zu Gast. Jedes einzelne Mal wurden wir mit erstklassigem Service, hervorragendem Essen und bester Qualität überzeugt. Die Speisen sind immer frisch, geschmacklich auf höchstem Niveau und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Für uns eine absolute Top-Adresse in Bad Säckingen. Wer Wert auf ausgezeichnetes Essen, hohe Qualität, wunderschöne Terrasse und eine außergewöhnlich herzliche Atmosphäre legt, ist hier genau richtig. Mehr als empfehlenswert – wir kommen immer wieder gerne!

Wir waren heute zu viert und zum ersten Mal in diesem Restaurant Essen gegangen. Genug Parkplätze. Empfang: Sehr freundlich. Sitzgelegenheit draussen im Garten war sehr angenehm und man wurde schnell bedient. Sehr nette Bedienung. Vorspeisen: Cocktail Primavera: Crevetten mit Erdbeeren, Rucola Avocado war sehr schön angerichtet und super fein. Man hat gesehen, dass sich die Küche und der Inhaber des Restaurants sehr Mühe gegeben haben und fachlich versiert sind. Die Spargelcreme Suppe war auch sehr fein und auf zwei sehr dekorativen Tellern serviert. Vielleicht hätte man noch Brot oder eine Art Pizzabrot dazu servieren können...? Eine Person hatte Norwegischen Lachs (Salmone Chardonnay) mit Pommes, welcher gerade richtig gegart war und gut schmeckte. Portion war schön gross....Drei Pizza`s (Pizza Pizzaiolo) waren mit einem sehr guten Pizzateig gut belegt. Der Teig hatte eine gute Zwischen Stufe zwischen knusprig und luftig weich zugleich. Wer immer diesen Teig gemacht hat, versteht sein Handwerk (ich bin gelernter Bäcker Konditor und weiss von was ich spreche) So soll ein Pizzateig sein !! Andere negative Bewertungen zum Pizza-Teig kann ich in keinster Weise nach voll ziehen..TOP gemacht Pizzajolo !!!! Die Pizza hatte auch ein Ei darauf, welches genau richtig in der Konsistenz war. Ich habe schon oft Pizzas bestellt mit Ei...meistens war das Ei aber noch fast roh, also zu wenig erhitzt, was ja nicht gerade anzustreben ist...Die Pizza hatte etwas Speck und feinen, speziellen Mozzarella drauf. DAs nächste Mal probiere ich dann den Pizza *Stern* :-) Vor der Bezahlung wurde uns allen vier noch einen einfachen, aber guten gratis Dessert spendiert...He Leute: Wo gibts denn so was heute noch???? Absolut genial !!! Preislich absolut im Rahmen, sogar eher günstig ! Ein super Italiener, bravo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Toiletten sauber sogar mit Duftstäbchen und herrlichem Geruch. Hilfe an Tisch 4. Um 19Uhr reserviert, um 19:30 am Tisch. Um 20:30 kommt die erste Hauptspeise für eine von 6 Personen am Tisch. Der Rest isst um 21Uhr, da ist das Geschirr der Hauptspeise von Person 1 schon wieder abgeräumt. Als Ausgleich gibt's für Person 1 nochmal das gleiche Gericht zum Hauptgang der anderen. Klar war viel los, aber sowas hab ich noch nicht erlebt.

SPONTANER BESUCH. Das Essen war sehr gut., natürlich gibt es immer Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten.. Aber ich habe das erste Mal in diesem Umkreis, ein gutes italienisches Restaurant gefunden. Die Preise sind etwas höher, als üblich in Deutschland. Dennoch kann ich das Restaurant herzlichst weiterempfehlen, wäre perfekt für ein Date oder ein Geschäftsessen etc.

Absolut empfehlenswert! Wir waren dort abends zum Essen und konnten bei schönem Wetter auf bequemen Stühlen draußen sitzen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich! Der Vorspeisensalat war vielfältig und oberlecker und die Steinofen Pizza ein Traum! Das Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis absolut okay!

Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt und das kann man wirklich weiter empfehlen. Auch wird laut Karte sehr darauf geachtet, dass fast ausschließlich italienische Zutaten verwendet werden. Das Lokal an sich habe ich als sehr laut empfunden. Wir wollten etwas essen und hatten im Nachhinein noch einen Termin. Obwohl wir reichlich Zeit eingeplant hatten, würde es am Ende dennoch knapp. Es war zwar viel los, aber es waren auch etliche Service-Kräfte im Einsatz. Ob man immer so lange auf sein essen warten muss kann ich nicht sagen, wir mussten es auf jeden Fall. Das Personal war zwar wirklich sehr freundlich aber eben nicht das schnellste. Wer also auf leckeres Essen Lust hat, keinen Zeitdruck hat und es einem egal ist, wenn es etwas lauter ist, d r ist hier genau richtig. Preislich würde ich das Lokal im oberen Mittelfeld ansiedeln.

Top Restaurant. Das Essen schmeckt jedes Mal sehr gut und ist auch sehr schön angerichtet. Preis-Leistung ist vollkommen in Ordnung und die Kellner sind alle total freundlich und zuvorkommend. Kann das Restaurant nur weiter empfehlen!

Update vom 19. Januar 2026: Betreiber versucht, unangenehme Bewertungen löschen zu lassen… Das führt zur Abwertung durch mich. Stilvolles Ambiente. Leider wird es von einer nervtötenden Aufschnittmaschine gestört, wie auf einer Baustelle. Das Essen ist gut, der Service sehr durchwachsen. Ein Kellner kann nur ein paar Brocken deutsch, aber auch kein italienisch, andere sind freundliche Italiener. Dann mussten wir noch eine Viertelstunde warten bis wir dann bezahlen konnten. Der Parkplatz ist abschüssig und an diesem kalten Winter-Abend spiegelglatt und nicht gestreut, sehr gefährlich!

Absolute Empfehlung! Die Pizza war unglaublich lecker super. Man merkt einfach, wie viel Mühe sich das ganze Team gibt. Auch der Service war super freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Laden ist insgesamt sehr sauber, gemütlich und man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Ich komme definitiv wieder!

I want to say right off the bat that the food was delicious and we had a wonderful evening. We each had a pizza, and both were really tasty. The dessert at the end was fantastic! The food and the service were both top-notch! Unfortunately, we were unlucky; despite having a reservation, we were given a table right where the dirty plates and cutlery are returned to the kitchen. That wasn't ideal and was a bit of a nuisance. But all in all, a great tip!

We spontaneously decided to eat there since we were on our way home and were very pleasantly surprised by the food. The pizza was so good, and my wife's salad was great too. We will definitely come back. Highly recommended!

The ambiance isn't very pleasant; it's far too warm, the lighting too bright, and it's very noisy. On top of that, the waiters are putting the cutlery away with excessive enthusiasm in the drawer right next to our table. The service is very slow and inattentive. We waited a full 20 minutes just for two drinks, and we even had to ask for the menu first. Speaking of the menu, it's obvious they're serving drinks that aren't even on it. Furthermore, this is the first restaurant we've visited that doesn't serve gin and tonic, a ubiquitous drink. My tip for you: Malfy Gin from Italy 😉. On the way to the restroom, you also encounter the hotel's laundry carts. The limoncello we finished with was unfortunately only room temperature, presumably because it wasn't left in the refrigerator long enough after being poured into the small bottles.

The evening at the restaurant was first-class. 5-star service, just like the 5-star pizza. Highly recommended for a unique experience. Always the best pizza around. ❤️

"Last night we had a lovely evening at the Villa Martino restaurant. The pizza dough was absolutely perfect, crispy, and delicious. The food was delicious overall, and the service was friendly and attentive. We were completely satisfied and are already looking forward to our next visit. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. We highly recommend the restaurant! 👍😋😋

Unfortunately, this restaurant deletes the bad reviews. If you can't do it, then you shouldn't try it. If this review disappears again, we'll know why :) There are also good and honest restaurants in this region!!!

Very nice hotel. Very clean and safe. Very helpful and friendly staff. I must visit if passing through this area.

Lunch: Time pressure, and they took the payment DURING the meal because the staff wanted to take their break. Our food was neither cleared away nor were we offered dessert. Second visit in the evening: in the "side room" - no sliding door, soundproofing, or anything else - there was simply a wedding going on, which we weren't informed of when we made the reservation. The music was so loud that it was almost impossible to have a conversation. First, we were pressured to order quickly, then we waited an entire hour for the main course, with no service or refills of drinks in between. The focus was entirely on the wedding and its guests, even though the rest of the restaurant was full. Furthermore, the portions, especially the pizzas, were very small. My pasta with beef strips only had 5 strips. For changes to the pizza topping, e.g., olives instead of ham, they charge €1.50, even though some of the toppings were removed or simply replaced.

I can't recommend this restaurant. We waited 55 minutes for the appetizer. Another 50 minutes for the pizza. With three kids, this is incredibly fun. I've rarely been so annoyed.

I went for a bruschetta and caprese appetizer and waited over an hour. The appetizer arrived with the pizza after over an hour. I will never go back to this restaurant. It's not worth a star.

A beautiful restaurant with a terrace and delicious food. The welcome was friendly, and that was about it. The menu came fairly quickly, but everyone else who arrived after us was served before us. The service was emotionless: no smiles, and no eye contact. The food was placed on our table without a word. After the main course, we were asked if we wanted dessert. We said yes, and 10 minutes later we got it. After another 10 minutes, we were asked if we wanted anything else. After a "no, thank you," a face was pulled. That was our first and last visit there.

I've eaten at your restaurant several times. The decor is magnificent. The plates are presented very attractively. The staff is very friendly. The food tastes mediocre and doesn't match the magnificent image presented by the plate. The staff is unprofessional and not attentive enough, considering the high standards of the restaurant. The waiting times are too long. The price-performance ratio is not right. It's a shame for such a beautifully presented restaurant.

The welcome was okay, pretty standard. I ordered an appetizer, and it arrived on the table after 10 minutes. I'm still waiting for the bread for the salad, but that can happen. We didn't get to try the main course; after waiting over 50 minutes for a pizza and a pasta dish, we left. Oh, sorry, dishes like that should and are cooked in 20 minutes.... No "sorry" or anything else from the waiter!!! There are plenty of other restaurants nearby that are significantly better.

The restaurant surprised us with a very good Italian cuisine. It is honestly better than most places we’ve been to in Italy. Service and interior are also very good quality.

We're regular customers and have always enjoyed both the food and the service, although the attention to customers has been lacking recently. The last time (early May) we were very disappointed: rushed and rude service. We had booked for that dinner weeks ago, having been raving about it to our friends, but they made us wait forever (over an hour) before taking our orders. They almost seemed annoyed that we were rushing to order. The food arrived cold, and they wouldn't serve us dessert because it was late (around 10 PM) after we'd waited ages for our food to arrive. Rude and inattentive service. I think it will be a long time before we return to this establishment.

This restaurant really has lovely food and we're happy to visit it when we're in the neighbourhood. The terrace is great, they have a nice playground for the kids and if it's raining, like it was today, inside of the restaurant is very comfortable and inviting. The only thing that did surprise me a bit was the service - no smile, uninterrested in guests, cold, distant.. These things didn't bother me really but it is nicer when you feel welcome as a guest. But don't let that stop you in trying their fabulous pasta!

We were in this restaurant again. It was just great as always, the team is very organized and very attentive and the cuisine and pizza were simply very good. I can heartily recommend the restaurant. They also achieved the rating of 4.9, it was nice that they achieved 5 stars. They achieved it too. And the pizza is really good for us - you have to look far.

Very friendly and competent service

We drove past it often, but when we were there for the first time we were pleasantly surprised. Our reservation wasn't in their system but we still got a spot straight away. The food came to the table relatively quickly and the pizzas were really good. The staff was very polite and well dressed. We will definitely come back.

This evening there were three of us - my husband, my daughter and I - in this wonderful restaurant and we absolutely loved it! From start to finish it was a perfect experience. The service was exceptionally good, especially our waiter Valon, who impressed with his friendliness, professionalism and attentiveness. He was always there at the right time, without being intrusive, and gave us the best possible care. The atmosphere is stylish and cozy, and at the same time very child-friendly. Our daughter felt just as comfortable here as we did. There is a pleasant atmosphere where families are also welcome. The food was just great! Many dishes are homemade and you can taste it. From the starter to the main course to the dessert – everything was tasty, fresh and prepared with a lot of love. There were also perfectly coordinated drinks. An all-round successful evening! Restaurant reserved at 7 p.m., only able to sit down at 7:20 p.m. and food only arrived at 8:30 p.m

Restaurant: We had a reservation at 7:00 p.m. and were standing in the hallway until 7:30 p.m. We then waited another 1:15 hours for our food. There was no communication from the staff about when our food would arrive and no apology for the long wait. When asked when the food would arrive, there was a very annoyed and cheeky answer -> It could be 10 minutes, it could be half an hour. All of this on a birthday that was announced in advance. Unfortunately only 1 star.

The restaurant is very pleasant and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful from the beginning to the end of the meal! The food was incredible, the ravioli was very tasty and well seasoned. The desserts were to die for! At the end, they even served us limoncello, a lemon liqueur! It was a very positive experience.

Top! I went to get pizza for the first time because I've never wanted to go to Säckingen for pizza before (customs in Säckingen are too full for me). I'll happily do it again for the pizza 😊. In contrast to a competitor very close by, you will receive quick and friendly service here even if you are not of Italian descent. Highly recommended!

Delicious and very aesthetic dishes. Excellent quality food. Maybe the dessert wasn't up to par with the rest of the dishes (maybe Original/Traditional is better, I'm referring to the Tiramisu) but I still ate it with gusto. The coffee is also good. We were there with 10 people for an early dinner after an afternoon of golf in the golf park. We were all hungry and were served quickly. Our waiters were very friendly and attentive. The food (pasta and pizza) tasted very good, changes to the pizza toppings were accepted without any problems. A lovely, successful evening.

The space is a bit cramped, but the restaurant is very popular and always busy. However, you can save yourself the equivalent of tiramisu. Served in a glass cup and looks nice. But that was it. The rest, as I said, TOP!

So I have no idea if we had a bad day. We cannot agree at all with the previous recessions. The house was very busy and yet the service was attentive and prompt. As far as the food is concerned, we are very disappointed: the quality of the goods is perfect but everything tastes very bland. Pizza was so thin and juicy in the middle that all you had left on your plate was sauce. My pasta dish too. No Italian Amore taste. The service had to go past our table to the scullery: there were a lot of leftovers on almost every plate and the food was rarely packed up. And at the end, please ask the guests if they can bring a limoncello. I always find it embarrassing to have to leave him behind.

We were there yesterday, eating for the first time and thought I wasn't listening properly when the service employee took the food and immediately gave us a dozen. For me that's a no go, it shouldn't be allowed to happen and if that doesn't change, we won't be visiting this place anymore.

The overall experience was amazing. The food was top notch and so was the Customer Service. The workers there were very welcoming and so was the place. It looked luxurious from the inside but when I got in, I couldn't tell you just how big and beautiful it really was. Also worth noting, the place was well-kept, it was clean and well organised. The rooms also were clean, well-kept and organised, with some great views. Overall 100/10 experience. Would go again there for sure. Greatest experience I have had.

Villa Marino is simply fantastic! The best pizza you could ask for. The waiters are always at the highest level and each and every one of them is very personable. The prices are more than fair compared to the quality. We love eating there and recommend it to anyone looking for the best Italian pizza!
